My Darling Aubree,
This year is going to be difficult. You know that the war is still going on and we hope to win it by the end of the year. Maybe then the world will be as it is supposed to. I will owl you several times this year giving you some instructions. I know you will follow them as you always have. Keep it that way. I know you will study your hardest like you always do and be sure to win house points. It would be great for Slytherin to win the house cup this year. No need to respond to this owl, but respond to all of my instructions. Be safe and do what I say.
