Dear Mack,
If your father knew I was doing this, he would kill me in more ways than I can think of. But I am sure there are things you deserve to know, and I am not going to sit back and watch you uncoil everything on your own- becoming completely confused on our actions. There are things in your past that many excuses can't even cover, but I would like to try and explain our actions. Well, my actions really- I can't explain your fathers, just mine.
When your father showed up at home with you in his arms, I was completely surprised. We hadn't planned anything, it seemed he had taken the matters into his own hands. Mackenzie you must believe me- I took you in because you were my family, my blood and I was going to treat you like my daughter. I know you might not think I have treated you like my daughter over these years, but it's been hard because of Derreck not letting me. I know that's a pathetic excuse- but it's the God honest truth.
I was aware of the affairs your father had with Kristie Hanner and Samantha Stone, but I was not completely aware of the full story. I didn't know that there was a possibility of another love-child. Of course I feel misused and abused, but you know there isn't much power in my authority to do anything about it. I know you probably feel anger toward me, but there isn't much I can do. I wish there were more.
