Dear Ms. Logton,
Your daughter, Cassandra Logton, has recently been found in the Forest adjoining the Hogwarts grounds. This is a restricted area, and it is against the school rules to enter the Forest. As the rule is in place only for the safety of pupils, flaunting it is taken very seriously. The incident has been recorded on Cassandra's permanent school record and resulted in detention and deduction of house points.
There is a lot of danger in the Forest, which is the reason why the rule exists. By entering it, your daughter puts not only herself in jeopardy, but also her fellow school students, mainly by incurring worry and inducing them to do the same, and his teachers, who are responsible for seeing she does not come to harm. On this occasion, Cassandra was also found with a companion, a 16 year old Slytherin boy. The fact that the two of them were found together is serious, as it suggests that one or the other had drawn their fellow school student into danger.
I would appreciate it if you would talk to your daughter about the issue of the Forest, and advise her as to the dangers that lurk there and her responsibility as a citizen not to draw others into danger.
Yours sincerely,
Professor Amaryllis Hardy

Cynthia walked through the old rickety front door of her home. Dropping her keys on the floor to keep the groceries from slipping out of her arms, she walked into the kitchen. She began to unpack the groceries and place them in the refrigerator when she heard a tapping to the window. She looked up to see an owl attacking the window. No, not attacking. It was knocking to get in.
She hesitantly walked over to the window and opened the it up. The owl flew in with a flurry and landed on the counter. Cautiously approaching the bird, she watched it stick its leg out as if in presentation. She walked over and slowly unrolled the piece of paper from its leg.
She read the letter from Professor Hardy. You could literally see the anger rising on her face. " Damn it, Cassandra.!"
She ran around the house like a mad woman, trying to find any type of paper this animal would take. After a few moments, she found to pieces of letterhead and began to write.
Professor Hardy,
I have received your letter about my daughter. As much as I would like to warn her of the dangers that lurk in the forest, I cannot. My daughter tells me little of that world, and mostly keeps your kinds secrets to herself. Nevertheless, I do appreciate you informing me of her disobedience. Be assured, I will speak to my daughter about this.
Sincerely,
Cynthia Logton.
P.S. I do hope this arrives to you, I'm not used to your kind's post.
She finished the letter and tied it around the owl's leg, and sent it on it's way.
