"Thanks, I kind of needed that." Leah said as Mel gave her a sisterly hug. Smiling at Leah Mel was just happy that she was done crying. She hated watching people cry it was depressing, and it made her feel guilty even though she didn't do anything. Looking at the girls tear stained face she realized once again how hard it must be to lose or almost lose in this case a loved one. She couldn't imagine life without both of her parents they were her friends and her confidants (SP?). As she was walking she wasn't watching were she was going and almost ran into a couple of older Slytherines "Watch it" They hissed in a menacing tone that gave you Goosebumps. It was not like you were scared of them or anything you were just kind of annoyed about the way that they looked at you as though you were below them. I mean there are only so many glares someone can take.

Rolling your eyes slightly as they continued to walk past you turned your attention back towards Leah mumbling under your breath "Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed". You listened as Leah mentioned going to Catalina's Cubby. "Sure that would be fun I don’t think I have been to Hogsmade since the attack. This was true you were kind of avoiding it for a while but you really wanted to go hang out with hopefully a new friend and you needed to reload at Zonkos with supplies. You were starting to run out of stink bombs. Your favorite part of playing jokes on people was there reactions, seeing there shocked faces make you laugh every time. "Maybe on our way back we can stop at Zonkos so I can pick up some supplies you said with a mischievous grin.

"Looking at Leah as she asked if her dads healer was really your mom. "Yup you responded, "but I have to admit I wish she was around more, my dad is the same way I think it is a macho thing" you said with a small giggle as they walked out the big doors.

Leah walked in the halls and was listening to Mel. " You better watch where you're going Melissa." Leah said while giggling as her friend almost bumped into Slytherins. They were in Hogsmeade now. We should watch in case they appear again." Leah said while turning back and forth to watch every corner they made. " I sorry for being like this, but I don't wanna end up in St. Mungo's with my dad if you know what I mean."Leah said while looking back.

Mel mentioned going to Zonko's. All the sudden Leah whipped around. " Me likey!" Leah said with a immature grin. Leah love playing practical jokes on people. " Where do you live? Do you live in England Ireland? Where? I live in northern Ireland. It's a beautiful place really, well at least my mom keeps our backyard that way. What time is it?" Leah asked while going in Catalina's Cubby with Mel. " It's kinda crowded. Let's go to Three Broomsticks instead." Leah said to Mel and was waiting for a response.

"We should watch in case they appear again." Mel heard Leah say. Mel understood she was also kind of nervous and wasn't really in the mood for any attacks from unwanted visitors. "No, No I understand completely." Looking into a closed shop she remembered the days when it was always packed with people and everything was so colorful but ever since that night when he who must not be named returned everything she was ever used to had changed everyone outside of Hogworts always seemed to be in a rush and never stopped to talk to anyone. It was such a depressing thought.

Falling into a fit of giggles as Leah responded to her remark about Zonkos she said "The best thing about playing jokes on people would have to be there reactions!" Walking a little more she responded to Leah's question "actually I live in Whales, it is very nice there we have a house right near a lake and it is were I have lived all my life so I love it." Stepping onto a stone that looked quite like a star she smiled and kept walking. As they entered the cubby she looked around and it was quiet packed. "It's about three o'clock and going to the Three Broomsticks sounds fantastic." Mel responded.

Leah and Melissa were walking to The Three Broomsticks. " I wonder where they got that name from." Leah said while chuckling up. When Leah opened the door a hanging head said " Shut the door you girl!!" impolitely. " I guess we can't go there. Let's go to Zonko's!! Race you there!" Leah while starting to run there.

Leah was very fast and got there first. Mel arrived there a few second later. " What happened? It took long to me." Leah said while grinning. " Let's go in!!" Leah said while opening the door. They both walked in. They shelfs were loaded with dungbombs and lots of other prankster items. " Look at these! Leah said while pointing at a shelf.

It was a furry kind of ball. It was wiggling too. They were hot pink and electric blue too. Pygmy Puff " I heard of these! There just like a ball of fur that's alive buy cuter!! I'm buying one." Leah said. She told the cashier what she wanted and the cashier took out one. She bought it. Finally she had one.

" I'll name her... umm... Kiki! It's weird , but I like it." Leah said to Mel while walking out. She had her blue furball on her shoulder. " She.. I mean Kiki is cute!" Leah said quite satisfied.

"I guess we can't go there. Let's go to Zonkos!! Race you there!" Leah said. Giggling slightly she watched as Leah ran off. A few moments later she realized that she said race you there. When she finally arrived she said to Leah "Wow im slow, it took me a minute to comprehend what you were saying." Shaking her head slightly she continued "You now I sometimes wonder why I don’t have blonde hair!" Giggling at her little remark she entered the store with Leah and said "Meet up in five minutes?"

As she walked threw the shelves looking at all the things she finally decided on a new pack of stink bombs, fake wands and some balloons that exploded when they were touched. Struggling to hold everything she set everything on the counter and paid for it. Picking up her bag she slipped out of the store while she waited for Leah to exit. Giggling slightly as she watched her walk out with a little blue Pygmy Puff on her shoulder. "Kiki" Mel said, "I like it!"

Leah smiled as Melissa agreed that she liked the name Kiki for her Pygmy Puff too. " Wow! Look at all the stuff you got!" Leah said while looking at all the stuff in her bag. " You must like pranking people." Leah said while lifting one eyebrow at Mel. Leah liked pranking people but didn't do it alot only because of the consequences if you get caught.

Leah and Mel walked everywhere. They didn't know where to go. Finally they stopped to look at the shrieking shack. " Wow, what a big place. I wonder if anybody ever lived there." Leah said to her friend. Leah found a big rock to sit on. Leah looked at her little Pygmy Puff. All the sudden it jumped out of her hands. It wiggled in the snow until Leah picked it up.

"Wow! Look at all the stuff you got! You must like pranking people." Leah said as Mel watched her eye the bag she had in her hand "Well lets just say I'm not the little angel everyone thinks I am" Mel responded with a slight smile on her face as she thought about the time she had thrown a stink bomb at filch and angry he looked. Remembering his face made her fall into another fit of giggles. She had been giggling a lot lately, actually this is the happiest she had been in a while and she was enjoying it.

Mel followed as Leah walked all around Hogsmade and since they didn't now where to go Mel decided to walk to the shrieking shack, it was one of in Mel's opinion one of the coolest places there was in Hogsmade. She could just imagine all the horror stories that were told true. As they stopped and looked at the big house she looked at Leah as she said "Wow, what a big place. I wonder if anybody ever lived there." Mel also wondered this and laughed as her little pet tried to burry itself in the snow. Shaking her head slightly in amusement she turned back and suddenly had an idea. "Do you want to go in and have a look?" She asked with her much too famous mischievous glint in her eye.

Melissa asked for a better view of the shrieking shack. " Isn't this the closest we can get?" Leah asked in confusion. " You're not thinking of crossing that wire are you?" Leah asked while pointing to the wire guarding the shrieking shack. Kiki jumped onto Mel's shoulder, then to the ground and started squirming off. " No Kiki! Leah said while she flung herself to the ground instantly. Leah couldn't find Kiki.

Leah heard Mel going into an endless fit of giggles. " What's so funny I can't find Ki.. There you are you little hairball." Leah said while smirking. Kiki was on her belt the whole time. All the sudden a flash of white landed on her shoulder. " Lightning!" Leah said while looking at her pure white owl. " What's this you got there?" Leah said while opening up a letter from her owl's beak.

I am glad to say your father now remember everything!! Abby Gunner is the best healer I have ever known. She cured your father's amnesia and he remembers everything! He just needs to practice his defensive spells and he'll be back to work! And I've finally going to have a two week break from work. Meet me at Hogsmeade as soon as you get this letter.

Leah stood there stunned and her mouth wide opened. Then she started screaming happily. Melissa looked worried. " My..My..My father remembers everything!! And it's all because of your mom! And my mom is going to meet me here today!" Leah said while crying tears of joy. Leah jumped around happily.She started to run to a figure walking across the horizon. It was Leah's mom! Leah hugged her for a minute or two until Melissa came running to Leah. " Mom, this is Mel. Mel, this is my mom." Leah said while still crying tears of joy. " Mom, since we're not allowed two pets can you take Kiki home?" Leah asked her mom. She agreed.

Mel smiled at Leah's confusion "Actually yes I was planning on it but if you don't want to of course that is fine with me I have actually been inside the shrieking shack once. I was dared to go in for two minutes and I did, it was actually quite pleasant. There were a few dusty couches and a big banged up staircase that lead two three bedrooms." Mel explained "Oh and there is this huge table in the dinning room looking area with like 20 chairs but the coolest of all was the master bedroom, there was this huge bed and a fireplace to go along with it."

Mel remembered every detail as though it was yesterday. She was pulled from the clouds though when she heard Leah say "No Kiki!" she watched as Leah feel to the ground to look for her and that’s when Mel fell into a fit of giggles. Kiki had crawled back up to Leah's belt and she hadn't even noticed. This continued for about five minutes until Leah finally asked "What's so funny I can't find Ki... There you are you little hairball." Even though she had just found the little hairball Mel still thought it was hilarious and memorized this moment too look back on one day.

Mel randomly looked up at the sky for a minute and saw an owl flying right towards them. Raising an eyebrow questioningly her question was answered as it landed on Leah's shoulder. "Cool name" Mel commented. Mel watched curiously as Leah opened the letter and read it. She was worried for a minute that it was bad news but then could tell it was good news because after Leah read it she screamed and gave her a hug. "My...My...My father remembers everything!! And it's all because of your mom! And my mom is going to meet me here today!"

It took Mel a minute to comprehend every thing she said but when she finally did she screamed along with her and hugged her back. After a minute of this Leah took off running near a figure that must have been her mom. Mel let them hug and then came and jogged up beside Leah shyly. "Mom, this is Mel. Mel, this is my mom." Leah said introducing Mel to Leah's mom. Holding out her hand to shake Leah's mom's hand she said "It is a pleasure to meet you" in a polite tone. Her parents had brought her up to always be polite to adults and this was how she was taught to great them.

Melissa , Leah, and her mom roamed Hogsmeade until Lightning appeared again with a letter. Carolina (Leah's mom) opened the letter and slowly frowned as she read it. Then she handed the letter to Leah while frowning. It was a letter from St. Mungo's. " I'm not going to read this now.. Well I guess I should."Leah said while opening the letter.

Carolina and Leah Kerkman,

I am sorry, but some how Andrew has went into a coma again. We think it is because we did not know he had started eternal bleeding in the brain. I do not know if Abby Gunner can wake him up again but she will try.

" Oh no... My dad is in a coma again." Leah said while looking at her mother cry. Leah held back her tears and paced while her vision was wiggly. She bumped into brick wall and decided to sit , so she did. She blamed her dad's coma on herself. She was banging her already bruised head on the bricks until a hand went on her shoulder and stopped her.

Mel enjoyed the happiness that was floating around them as they walked threw Hogsmade. She forgot what it was like to be and be around people this happy and it was then she realized how much she missed it. She wished she could freeze in this moment forever and always be happy. Looking over smiling slightly she saw Leah and her mom's eyes shinning with happiness. Looking up into the sky she saw Leah's owl lighting flying towards them and she began to worry. She new something was wrong she just hoped it wasn't her friends father.

"I'm not going to read this now… Well I guess I should." Leah said. Frouning slightly as Leah opened the letter Mel saw Leah's smile turn to a frown and saw tears forming in her eyes as she read. Mel covered her mouth and watched as Leah paced back and fourth until she walked right into a wall. It pained Mel to see her friend in this much pain. She watched as Leah sat down and began to hit herself and a small tear ran down Mel's face as she hurried over to her and set a hand on her shoulder and whispered in a soothing voice "Everything is going to be alright." Taking a seat next to her Mel watched Leah with a worriedly.

Leah looked Melissa straight in the eyes and watched as a tear rolled down her face. Leah's mom suddenly spoke up. " Leah will need a place to stay and I'll be busy with her father and my two little ones, so can you write a letter to your mother and ask her if she could stay with you. I don't know what to do if she can't stay with you." Leah's mom said to Mel. Leah suddenly brightened up. What if I can stay with Mel! Suddenly she looked down as her thoughts got darker. What if I can't. Leah just wished with all her might she could.

Leah stood up and looked up at the sky and hoped she would see Lightning again with a letter. But, unfortunately she didn't. " Mom, where will I stay if I can't stay with Melissa? '' Leah asked her mother. Her mom was thinking for a while and finally said " I don't know dear. I don't know." Carolina(Leah's mother) said with fear in her voice. " I have to go dear, and get Kyle and Kayla. Have a good time with Melissa and I love you." Carolina said while giving Leah a hug and walking of. " Where do you want to go now?" Leah asked Mel and looked at her.

You now I live kind of close to another person that goes to this school, his name is Derrick Kennel have you met him?" then Leah's mother said "I have to go dear, and get Kyle and Kayla. Have a good time with Melissa and I love you." Watching as the to said there good byes Mel waved as her mother walked away.

"Where do you want to go now?" "Don't now lets go warm up some where 'cause my fingers are freezing" Mel responded while blowing warm air onto her fingers. Looking up in the sky she saw that the sun was about to set but didn't think much of it.

Melissa said that I could stay and Leah was happy but not enough to show that she was. " You live by Derrick?! " Leah said while smiling a little. " Yeah, I know him." Leah said while looking around anxiously. " What do you want to do?" Leah said while looking at a place called ' Catalina's Cubby' . " Should we go there?" Leah said while pointing to it.

Leah had always wanted to go there, but never did. Leah looked back at her mom's figure slowly fading. Leah felt a tear roll down her cheek. Leah quickly wiped before Melissa noticed. It was only 12:00 and it seemed like the end of the day to Leah. It was the best day, but at the same time one of the worst. Leah sighed and looked at Melissa.

"You live by Derrick?! Yeah, I know him." Leah said. Mel could tell that something was up by the way Leah smiled and changed the subject quickly. Mel raised an eyebrow slightly and smirked but didn't push the subject. Giggling slightly as she tripped over absolutely nothing Mel said in a giggle voice "Wow I am a klutz today!" Smiling slightly as they walked she said "Yah, I would like to go to Catalina's Cubby since I have never been there before." Mel had always walked by this place but had never gone to this place.

Mel noticed that her shoe lace had come undone and kneeled down to tie it. As she stood up she saw Leah watching her mom and frowned. She wished there was something she could do to make things better but she new she couldn't the only thing she could do was hope that her mom could some way make Leah's father wake up once again. Even though they had only been out for a little bit it felt as though it had been three days. She had never been so happy and then sad in one day. Looking back up at Leah she said hoping to cheer her up a little "You now we have this muggle thing called a trampoline in our backyard at my house"
