Annie woke softly in the mid morning to the light of the dormitory. She sighed to herself as she realized she should start off toward Hogsmeade. She wasn't into going to Hogsmeade that often, but she wasn't going to stay locked in the castle for another few months without at least getting outside the gates of this prison. She rolled gracefully out of bed and practiced a few ballet steps across the length of the room and stopped at her wardrobe. She was in desperate need for some words from Alice right now. She just wanted to ignore this whole school thing, but knew she couldn't. Maybe she would write Alice a letter later. Or if things got to bad she could just count on her cousin. That would probably give her some time before she completely lost patience with her prison.
Annie sighed again quietly trying not to wake the few remaining students in the dormitory. Her cousin was one of them, but she would not wake her so early in the morning. Annie pulled out a long white dress from her wardrobe. She was in the mood for something airy and of course spring like. It was her favorite time of the year, because she knew that it wouldn't be long until she was back home planting in her garden and continuing on with her voice lessons and of course her dance lessons. A smile crossed her lips at the thought. She pulled on the dress and stood in front of the mirror. Her already pale skin looked ghostly white with the dress on her, but she liked that. She didn't want to be tan or colored in anyway. She felt it gave her a more delicate look, which could easily fool anyone. She preferred manipulations to the blunt truth.
Annie smiled at the reflection as she combed through her hair. Today it decided to be wavy. She shrugged it looked good anyhow. She took great care in applying a few items of make-up to her face. It was mostly red lipstick. She liked it because she felt it made her lips stand out and they were full and luscious. If you asked Annie she would tell you they were her best feature. Finally she was done getting ready. Turning from the mirror she picked up her wand and gingerly placed the white wooded wand into a carrier that had been made for wands on her dress. She smiled to herself. She was definitely armed and dangerous. She turned from her sleeping dorm mates and headed out the door with one of her favorite books, Magical Step: Perfect for the Purest of Witches. It was a delightful book written by her grandmother who had been a huge influence in Annie's life when it came to dance and singing. This book was the ancient Step dance performed by her ancestors. This is her third time reading through the book this year.
Annie walked gracefully through the streets of Hogsmeade. She scowled at the few filthy mud-bloods that had bumped into her. They were lucky she was in a good mood or they would have learned what being a Bradshaw really meant. She smiled at the thoughts that swam through her head. She would never do half of them while in the presence of others, but she could just imagine doing them and that was enough for her. The warm weather was quite refreshing to Annie and it raised her spirits the most, which was the mud-bloods saving grace. She entered through a small door near the back of the town. It was known to high society to be one of the better pure-blood restaurants in the U.K. She didn't think it was the greatest, but at least the service was decent.
Annie smiled politely to the waitress who recognized her immediately and then immediately showed her to a table. Annie nodded her head in response to the older woman. "I'll make this quick and simple. For the time being I would love a cup of Lyon's tea. Please it's all I can do to speak this morning without a cup of tea," Annie said. The waitress took of quickly and Annie sighed. She really ought to have more tea around. When she was home in Ireland she had a cup of tea almost 24/7. That's the way she liked it, but no she had to wait here. Annie took a gentle seat at the two person table. The soft black leather cushioned chairs supported her weight nicely and gave her great posture. She laid the book on the table as she fished out a few sickles from her coffer. At this movement her book slide from the corner of the table it had been haphazardly balancing on to the floor. She turned quickly at the sound.
