Katherine walked into The Three Broomsticks with a couple shopping bags in her hands. The place was filled with people off in their own corners surrounded by friends. Her attention was attracted to a young man who got up from his seat at the bar. Before anyone else took the empty seat, she quickly walked over. Katherine sat down and placed her bags under the bar and beside her chair. She’d been shopping for a while now, and got a little something her cousin would like from Zonko’s and some other random things. She took a sigh of relief since she hadn’t sat down all day. A nice warm butterbeer would be nice, she thought with a small smile. She told the guy behind the bar that she’d like one and handed over her money.
After she popped the cork of her butterbeer, she took a nice sip. Trying to tune out all the commotion of the people talking would be impossible, so she pulled out a new book from her bag. It was some old romance novel that she’d bought from an old lady’s bookstore. It was about a girl who goes off to some fancy school and leaves her boyfriend behind. Very sappy, and yet sweet. Katherine turned to the first page and tried to concentrate on the story. After a chapter or two she realized hat her butterbeer was empty. She checked her watch and realized that she’d been there for almost an hour. She still had stuff to do and didn’t want to be late coming back to Hogwarts, so she quickly threw the book back into her purse and left. It wasn’t long after she’d been shopping at a store a couple shops down that she realized that she had left her Zonko’s bag still under the bar. Uhhhhh… how embarrassing, she thought to herself as she let out a sigh of frustration.
She turned around and went passed the kids making their way back to Hogwarts already. “Excuse me… pardon me,” she continued to say as she bumped into other students. As she pushed open the door of The Three Broomsticks, she noticed that it was a lot less crowded inside. Katherine’s eyes darted over to the tall seat at the bar which she’d sat at. She didn’t see anything next to the chair. She quickly walked over to the guy behind that bar and asked him if there were any bags found. He said that nobody turned anything into him and that he was sorry.
((You can find the bags or help look or whatever you'd like! Sorry for the boringness... I wrote it in the morning before my brain turned on ))
