Sephora walked down the snowy streets of Hogsmeade, kicking a peice of ice across the cobblestones. She had just gotten done talking to her best friend Alarice and she had a lot of things racing through her mind. What if I did find my mother? What would I even say? She's the one who abandoned me in the first place. Sephora sighed and turned to enter Honeydukes. Maybe some sweets would cheer her up. A faint bell rang as the door closed behind her. She noticed that the place was crowded; but then again, it always was. Digging her hands into her pockets, she gathered a few sickles and three galleons. Sephora collected some sugar quills, a box of Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans, and a handful of Droobles bubble gum. She turned around from the container of bubblegum and accidently bumped into Lacey Langres, a fellow fourth year Hufflepuff. Sephora's candy splattered all over the floor in different directions and a few people's heads turned. "Oh gosh, I'm sorry. I'm such a clutz." said Sephora blushing. She bended down to start collecting her lost items.

Dad seemed to be a bit addicted to wizarding sweets. Especially chocolate frogs for the same reason witches and wizards were so attached to the chocolate goods. Dad had also started to collect the magical cards each package contained. He had a lot more trouble finding the cards being a muggle than most other people had. Well most other people who weren’t muggles. But it had already became a bit of a tradition for Lacey to send home a chocolate frog or two every week with one of the letters she sent her dad. Dad really was her best friend. Maybe because he had always been so supportive and always there for Lacey to talk to. Smiling to herself at the thought Lacey sighed and moved along at the slow pace between the shelves in Honeyduke. She wasn’t in an hurry to somewhere really. So she wouldn’t have to push between people to get to the few candies she did actually want to buy today either.
Picking up a package of Bertie Botts Beans and a few liqorice wands for herself Lacey finally reached the shelf where the chocolate frogs were deposited. Hoping that dad would get some new cards Lacey picked out three chocolate frogs from different shelves right before someone bumped into her making them both drop the candies they had picked out on the floor. Glancing at the girl who had ran into her Lacey was glad to see that at the very least it wasn’t a Slytherin. Smiling at the offered apology Lacey kneeled and started to gather the fallen candy again offering one of the two Bertie Botts Bean bags to the other girl. “It’s quite alright. This place is quite packed as it is so don’t worry about it. Which of the Bean bags was yours?” Lacey said smiling at the girl who must have been an Hogwarts student and at least a 3rd year to be allowed to Hogsmeade. Lacey didn’t really even know the girl beyond those details. Well, she wasn’t in Hufflepuff. And no Slytherin would have offered an apology for anything they did wrong.

The girl in front of her looked older than Sephora and was pleasantly cheerful. She had bent down and collected a bag of beans, offering it to Sephora. "I'm not sure which one. I'll just take this one I guess." said Sephora, grabbing the bag that was being held out to her. She smiled a 'thank you' and gathered the rest of her other candy that had ended up by the lollipop rack a few inched away. It just figures that I'd drop everything. Today is not turning out to be good at all. Sephora's mind had been on her mother constantly during this whole day. She couldn't help wondering if she should just run away and try to find her. She just couldn't bare the temptation any longer. Sephora had grown up with the coolest Uncle anyone could ever have, and the only thing stopping her from fleeing Hogwarts in search of her mother was the fact that Uncle Areson would be worried sick if he found out. Sephora stood up and balanced herself between the large crowd of shoppers. "Thanks.." Sephora didn't know the girls name who helped her with her sweets and paused mid-sentence.
