Hogsmeade looked like it belonged in a fancy Christmas globe. Snow was falling down gently from the white puffy clouds that criss-crossed over the pale blue sky. Will loved days like this. They put an extra bounce to his step. As William 'bounced' down Hogsmeade, he paused here and there to peer through the frosty shop windows. The result of William's already finished Christmas shopping was in the four bags he held at his hands. He gripped them tightly so not to let go and loose all that good money he had spent on them. The orphanage would probably be very angry at his shopping spree and all the money 'gone to waste on those creepy friends.' Oh well. Will looked around the small town with satisfaction. He was all done. Now he could just... relax and wonder around, persay?
The looming Hogwarts castle didn't look welcoming to Will. It seemed distant and cold, made of all those grayish bricks. William missed it some during his time at the Orphanage, but with Luce he forgot totally and became engulfed in his training. He smiled happily and turned away from the castle. He would have gone to Diagon Alley as well, but the idea of being searched thoroughly didn't appeal to him. So he ended up shopping in the small village of Hogsmeade. He didn't mind though; they had a lot of neat stuff here as well. Like all the pranks in Zonko's. William had already gone there for a few people he knew would love some pranks. A small breeze was beginning to rustle through the shops, making William shiver.
He pulled his cloak tighter around his shoulders and hurried toward the Three Broomsticks. That chill was about to be wiped away, he hoped, by some butterbeer. He entered the shop, hearing a twinkling bell announce his arrival. Lots of people were stuffed inside, all seeming to be drinking butterbeer to warm themselves up. William ordered one for himself but noticed that only one booth was a desirable one. A girl sat at it who looked about a year or so older then William. The other booths that were open either were dirty, or had one very much older person sitting at it. William came over to where the girl was sitting and tried to think of who she was. When nothing came to mind, he simply approached her. "Hello," Will said with a grin on his face. "Do you mind if I sit. There's really no where else."

Lavender opened the doors of the castle and quickly left. She needed to get Christmas shopping done. Lavender had no idea what to get Parvati. She was so distant lately and upset that it was hard for Lavender to find anything or do anything for her. She sighed loudly. She wished that she could help Parvati, but she knew that nothing she said or did would help her. Lavender looked around the snow covered grounds. It was beautiful. She loved Hogwarts during the winter time. The snow glistened in the sunlight. It covered every surface of Hogwarts with white glittering contents. It was more beautiful that she could have imagined and her heart sank. She knew this would the last time she really got to experience this at Hogwarts. Her last year before she went off into the wizarding world to find a job or continue with more schooling.
Lavender left the school behind her and she glanced back at the beauty of it before she continued on her way to Hogsmeade. The stone pavement led down to the magical village that Lavender had been visiting for 4 years now. She knew this would be one of the last times she would shop there for Christmas for her days at Hogwarts were over and Diagon Alley would be the place she shopped more often. Lavender sighed again. She couldn't believe she was an adult, 17 years old. She could do whatever she wanted and she would be paying her own bills soon. Of course her parents would always be there for her. They always were. Lavender smiled at the sound of her hills hitting the stone pavement and the sound of the wind in the trees. She felt the cold snow hit her face as she walked. It seemed to be snowing only over Hogsmeade and Lavender wondered inf it had been enchanted.
Lavender looked back down from the sky as she entered Hogsmeade. Where to start first? Lavender thought to herself. She wasn't sure where she should start looking for a gift for Parvati. She finally decided to stop in at one of the knick knack stores called Gems and Jewels. Lavender knew that some of the stones in there could be used for Divination. That was always a favorite pass time for the two of them.
Lavender entered the store and looked around. She smiled at the different colored jewels that shone back at her. She quickly checked her money pouch. She had quite a bit that her mum had sent her. She only had to worry about Parvati so she didn't mind going overboard on her present, if it was something she would enjoy. As Lavender searched through the store she stopped upon a crystal ball. It was unlike the others. It was colored a slight blue. So it appeared to be made of sapphire instead of the normal material that was clear. There was something else that drew her to the crystal ball, though she wasn't sure what. However, as she looked at it a picture seemed to emerge in the fog. It showed Parvati and herself. The image faded quickly before Lavender could see it more clearly, but it looked like they were following someone, she just didn't know who. Lavender picked up the ball and looked at the price 20 galleons. She looked back in her money pouch and smiled. She had more than enough for that. She took the crystal ball to the counter and paid for it. The woman smiled as she wrapped the ball and stand in a box and then wrapped that in blue wrapping paper for the holiday seasons. Lavender smiled and thanked her as she left.
Lavender looked around. She didn't plan on buying anymore that day. She had already bought for her parents and siblings. She looked around deciding to go back to Hogwarts when she was in sudden need for a butterbeer. She smiled at the idea and quickly walk through the crowds of holiday shoppers to The Three Broomsticks. She quickly got a butterbeer from Madam Rosmerta and headed for an empty table in the back. She took out her wand and began to levitate her bottle while she was at the table. She should have brought a book or something, but sometimes it was better to just go without thinking of things like that. Besides she didn't really think she would stop to get something to drink.
As Lavender continued to levitate her bottle of butterbeer after she'd drink some a voice interrupted her. She startled herself and dropped the bottle spilling its contents. She quickly cleaned up the mess and saved the rest of what was in the bottle. She laughed to herself as she looked up. "Hi, sorry about that. No go ahead and have a seat I'm a little bored," Lavender said nodding to her bottle and wand. "Oh, my name is Lavender Brown a 7th year in Gryffindor," Lavender said as she held out a hand for him to shake. She always loved introducing herself. You could change it every time and freak some people out some time by doing it. She didn't want to freak him out though. She wanted the company.

William watched with amusement as the girl dropped her bottle, spilling the contents everywhere. Before he could even raise a finger to help, she had cleaned the whole thing up and was talking. This was cause for amazement for Will, who was so slow in picking up after himself that it may take a week for him to clean his room. He shook himself out of that emotion, as it could be regarded as an insult. He smiled instead. "Oh, okay." He slid into the booth opposite her and quickly placed his elbows on the table. The orphanage had always told him he had bad manners, but they had stopped trying to reign him in after fifteen years. He had grown accustomed to their looks of disgust whenever they saw it, but in the real world, most people didn't seem to mind or care. The orphanage had it's block head up in the clouds, dreaming of perfect little orphans. William looked at Lavender Brown with a grin. He had heard of her, of course. Most often people did. She was in the same year as Harry Potter, Draco Malfoy, and all the other big boys or girls there was. "William Senetta," Will said, taking her hand and shaking it. "Ravenclaw sixth year." He let go and looked around the place again. It was comfortable and warm as the windows rattled a bit from the wind on the outside. William was doing well on his shopping; basically, he had it all done. He was thinking on getting Dawn something or another just for some fun, as she was a big seventh year Slytherin and he a book-worm Raven, but what would he get? A prank? She might break his arm again if he did that. William smiled and turned his attention back to Lavender. A Gryffindor.. Hmm. He didn't mind Gryffies. They always seemed to have the right intentions and didn't have their heads blowing up like a balloon like the Slytherins. Arrogance, bah. Will had quite a few elements of that, but not enough to make his head fly away with it. Will took a large drink of butterbeer and when he resurfaced, he decided to make conversation with her. "So, how are you this cold, cold day? I'm feeling rather peachy myself." William said with that odd-ball way of making himself stand out. "Did you get all your shopping done before that blasted wind came through?" He took another drink, licking his lips afterward. Butterbeer was sticky! He placed the mug deftly on the table and smiled at her. "I think I did. Although I'm still in doubt of one thing." He shrugged, fingering the handle of his mug to busy his fingers. ((Sorry for the small delay. I've been a little busy with Christmas and all that and I forgot about this, since I didn't bookmark it. ))
