Dangerous me ( maryn and Brook)

Vika was in a dangerous mood. She wanted to do something bold. Something she was known for. Well a prank in Hogsmeade... She let her mind wonder on the idea before she entered the Joke shop. " Hey!" She shouted as she entered but it was empty. Great no witnesses!! She though she came up to the witch in the counter and placed three gallons. " What will it be?" She asked. Vika smiled a dangerous smile before anwsering. " Suprise me." She replied.



She left the shop and went into the Three Broomsticks.

It was the holidays and Maryn had returned to her house in London. She was feeling better now. Maybe not as cheerful as usual, but just as much fun. During her little crisis, Maryn had been thinking. She was thinking about how much she had grown mentally in the past months. She was still cheerful Maryn, but she had been through a lot. She still liked to joke around and laugh. Maybe not as much, but she was still cheerful. Maryn still could be a bit of a rebel and a wild child at times. However, that side of her hadn't been active lately. She thought back to herself a few months before. She had turned Illiya into a rule breaking fun girl. That girl wasn't completely gone, but she defiantly wasn't active. Maryn walked in to the village as her father had just apperated her there and left. She didn't have anymore shopping, but was bored and wanted something to do.

The streets were busy and crowded. Christmas was only days away and people were still buying presents. Maryn was so glad she had finished at that moment. Before going clothes shopping as she had planned, Maryn decided to go into the Three Broomsticks. It too was crowded so she looked around in a seat. Maryn noticed a fellow Gryffindor third year she recognized. She walked up to her. "Hey, do you mind if I sit? Everywhere else is full." She said politely.

Brook woke up late, as usual and had to walk to Hogsmade by herself. Since she had stayed at hogwarts this Christmas she probably wouldn't have ended up walking with any one any way though so she didn't really care. She got up and out of her bed, then changed into a pair of light blue jeans, a Green Day shirt, and a really warm and pretty blue jean jacket. She grabbed her new purse her mother had sent her less than a week ago and headed out the door to Hogsmade. Once she was half way out the door of the common room she remembered that she hadn't put her wallet in her bag yet, so she ran up stairs grabbed her wallet, dropped her bag, and then ran down out of the common room, and kept running until she had reached the very entrance of Hogsmade.


Once she reached Hogsmades busy end of stores she slowed to an even slower walk and just looked around. She started to get chilly so she stepped inside The Three Broom Sticks. It was almost completely full and Brook was just going to leave and go somewhere else, but then she saw Vika Spunrick and Maryn Lively so she went over there and asked "Can I join you guys?"

"Hi, Brooke." She said nicely. Maryn didn't know her too well, but she was nice. Maryn looked at Vika for a second. Sure, they knew each other, but not really. Maryn mainly hung out with Alarice, Elisabeth, and sometimes Katrina in the girls' dorms. She had known Elisabeth the longest and they both had much in common and were good friends. they were sitting together the day of the train attack. That had been a very different day indeed. Lately, Maryn hadn't really acted like a true Gryffindor. She had been afraid of different things, but was trying to get better at that. She looked at Vika for a moment. Maryn had heard she was sort of a rebel. Maryn could also be that way at times, but not all the time.

Maryn smiled brightly at Brooke in front of her. "Fine by me." She said nicely. Maryn looked around the pub. It was terribly crowded and people seemed packet together. She was then grateful that she was at a table with people she knew a bit. Just then, the waiter came over. Maryn ordered a pumpkin juice and a blueberry muffin. She wasn't terribly hungry, but just a bit. She then looked at both the girls after ordering. "So, what brings you both to Hogsmeade?" She asked.

"Well, I stayed at Hogwarts for Christmas and there isn't much to do so I came here hoping it would be more fun than it is back at the castle!" replied Brook. She really wished she had went home, but the whole letter fight that she had reminded her all the things said and then she again agreed with her choice. Most people wouldn't, really care if they got in a fight, they would go home anyway. Brook was different, she didn't hold grugdes or anything, but when you maade her mad she got mad and sometimes she hated being responsavle for her actions! "So, uh...how did you get here Maryn, I thought you went home for Christmas?" Brook asked.


Most people thought Brook as a question-less type of person, but once you got to know her then you would figure out that she would ask a million questions, and they would go on and on untill they all led up to one simple question. While waiting for Maryn to answer Brook ordered a big glass of ice cold water. Brook wasn't a big fan of wizard drinks, she basiacally stuck with water and a muggle drink called Dr. Pepper.

Vika sat in the teen hang out. Her eyes wandered the crowded room. People staying home for the holidays were there. As well as students staying at Hogwarts. She looked out the window white snow was begening to cover the ground. She watched fasinated at the very beauty of their job. For about two monthes they fell. Thier icey touch stung everyone in their way to the ground still they were admired by everyone. She though of her self imagianing if she was a snowflake. Falling own being admired more than she was ussally. Then she decided she liked her own self then an now. She would melt and be stepped all over an turn dirty. Her thoughts deweled on the Winter Ball at her mansion that was to take place very soon. She though of her dress. The soft, silky, fabric. And smiled to herself because she looke like a snowflake in it.


Her thoughts were soon isturbe by a waitress asking what she wanted. Vika thought about what she wanted for a few moments before ordering. " A butterbeer an umm... some choclate." She ordered. Smiling as the old woman as she went to get the teenagers food. Starting her thoughts up again. She wondered back to the comfort of the ball. " What??" She asked suprised turning around thinking it would be the waitress instead it was a girl about her age. " Umm Hi sure sit with me. You have any ideas on how to pull of a great prank her in Hogsmead. " She sai inviting the girl to sit with her.

"Uh...thanks!" said Brook feeling a little out of place, and then feeling even weirder when the girl named Vika asked her if she knew how to pull off a good prank in Hogsmade. "Umm.......not that I can think of at the moment!" she replied. "Why do you ask?" she said as she ordered a goblet of Pumpkin juice and pulled out some of Bertie Bott's every flavored beans, which her mother had sent her yesterday. Her mother had been sending her lots of things, and Brook guessed it was because her mother felt bad about antagonizing her every time they came face to face. Her mother was always mad about something and took it out on Brook, and Brook had gotten tired of it so she told her mother that she was simply not coming home for the Christmas holidays. Brook looked over at Maryn again "What is wrong? You have barely said a word since I arrived."

Maryn looked at Brook. "Oh, my dad apparated me here and then left." She offered. "Yes. I did go to London, but its' not really home." She said staring out the window. Maryn could see the outlines of the comforting castle. How she missed it. It was her home unlike London. She smiled a bit staring as lights flickered on it off. Probably Dumbledore. She thought. He obviously couldn't be having such a great time lately. With all the attacks and all the stress of running a school that didn't seem safe anymore. It had to be horrible on his nerves and Maryn knew she could never do it alone. She stared at Vika and Brook thinking those very thoughts. Her mind started drifting and Maryn shook herself a bit to wake up.

She looked up as Brook asked what was wrong. "Oh, sorry." She said. "Drifting, I have been doing that a lot lately." She said. Maryn physically moved her gaze from the castle to the two girls. She then realized what Vika was saying about Hogsmeade. This was Maryn's chance! She could finally break free of all the stress she had been facing lately. She could finally be that girl that snuck outside of the tower again. Maryn gave a truthful smile. "Hmm, that sounds fine." She said mischievously. "I don't really know, but I'm guessing it would have to involve one of these." She said pulling out her wand. "What kind of prank do you have in mind?" She asked with a funny grin on her face.

Brook now understood what brave meant for the Griffie's, it meant that they weren't afraid to do something to get into trouble and they just didn't care about the consequences. Brook considered this. If she did a prank with them, and it was bad enough then maybe her mom would find out and then Brook could actually give her a reason to be mad at Brook. 'Yes' she though, I can make my mom mad. "What do you have in mind Vika, I have been looking for a reason to make my mother mad. And uh...what exactly would be the size of this prank?" she asked Vika, a mysterious Grin growing on her face.


Finishing her Pumpkin Juice Brook asked the waitress for a little bit more and she gave her, her money. The waitress was definitely starting to get annoyed at how they kept making her come over at different times, but Brook figured it was just the Beginning. She was in the mood for something and from the way she had just asked Vika that question she knew that what ever she did today would be very entertaining!

Maryn smiled listening to Brook. She finally had a chance to be that girl again. The one who would stop at nothing for an adventure. The one who stood up against Slytherins and tried her best to defeat them. Maryn could go against the new image she had made for herself over the months. The imagine that had stuck her down. Maryn could finally break free of the new Maryn and set back into the old. The bere thought of that made Maryn smile brightly. She placed her wand infront of her still listening to Brook. She was wading the juice in her cup with her wand smiling all the while. Lately, Maryn had needed little handy work things to calm her down or slow her nerves. For the moment, this was working and that made Maryn feel even better than he already unstoppable self.

She nodded at Brook. "Well, too big isn't such a good idea with all the attacks lately. That will just scare people even more. Something amusing and less extravagant would work." Maryn said thinking of something, anything, but nothing entered her mind. "Vika, what do you think?" She asked her dorm mate. Maryn then turned to Brook smiling. "What's the worst prank you two have even done?" She asked the girls. "Maybe if we start there that will give us some ideas." Maryn had a wide grin across her face as she waited for a reply from the girl.

"Well," said Brook "Uh...once I broke into my sisters room and I programed her lab top so that when it was six o' clock, which was the time my sister got home and I programmed it to say 'I see you!' in this really creepy voice! It gave her nightmares, and she never even found out it was me!" she finished, hoping it didn't sound to lame. Looking over at Vika, wjo hadn't been saying much she wondered what the worst thing she had ever done was. Thinking about this she popped some more Every Flavored Beans into her mouth, leting the chocolate taste linger a bit before she took a sip of juice.

Vika drank her butterbeer slowely and listened to the two girls talk. Maryn asked her a question she closed her eyes in thought images filled her head. Slowely and cautionly she opened them with a half smile almost a smirk on her pink lips. " Well lets see... nothing to flashy or showy. Nothing dull or boredness worthy. But fun and youthful. Something like... like fireworks and lions. No I've got a better idea!!!!!!" She screamed in a whisper wearing a real smile now. " Say we put a changing spell on a doorway. Person goes through and for an hour their dressed in the mood they were an hour ago." She said clapping her hands toghter and bringing them to her face.


Than she anwsered the second question after listening to Brook. "Thats minor entertaning but minor. The worst prank I had ever done very from cancling buisness meetings to getting people upset at each other over two diffrent things." she said looking out the window. She watched the snow come down heavier.

Brook stared at Vika in unbeleife, she couldn't beleive that Vika would actually do something to make people upset with others. "Do you upset people and make them mad at others on purpose?" she asked figuring she already knew the answer. So far Vika had been an absolute shocker, but with how much she had shocked Brook, Brook thought the answer was quite obvious and was wondering why she had asked it. "I think that that prank is a little weird though I mean I can't really interpret your words into something I would really understand!" Seeing as she had just gone through a water and a goblet of pumkin juice Brook got her last drink and tried to drink it really slowly as she listened to the other girls replies.

Maryn laughed as Brook explained her worst prank. "That sounds like fun!" She exclaimed giggling. Maryn hadn't pulled a single prank since summer. Of course, she had changed so much in that time. Maryn had defiantly grown up since then or at least she hoped she did. She wasn't that girl that would break the rules every chance she got .No, actually Maryn was turning more into the sweet nice girl that everyone loves more than the rebel. She hated getting caught on anything so the solution was not to do anything to get her into trouble. Maryn sure hated that. She also hated when she did things with a group of people. It just always made her feel like it was her own fault. maryn looked at Brook nicely. "Well, I'm a muggle born so I've done several things with my wand. Just charms and things that really scare my younger brothers and sisters." She said. of course, Maryn never really went over board, but she always had fun with it. Maryn smiled thinking about those times. The only wizard in her family was her younger brother. Of course, he was too young to do any magic.

Maryn gave Vika a confused look. "I don't really understand it. It seems kind of mean more than fun to me." She said in a nice tone not trying at all to be mean. She looked at Brook and nodded at her comments agreeing with them. "Maybe something that is more fun that cruel would work. Something that will make people sort of confused or laugh." Maryn smiled answering. "Or at least that seems the best to me. What do you think Brook?" She turned towards the Ravenclaw waiting for her to reply.

Brook thought happily about how Maryn had sided with her. 'No one ever sides with me!' she thought to herself. Listening to Maryn Brook thought about her answer, she did agree with Maryn, but she didn't want to make Vika feel at all left out so she said " I agree with that, but I do want the joke to be funny for us too!" Hoping that Vika understood her perspective she finished by taking a sip of her water. Looking happy again and hiding her nervousness Brook tried to think of a good prank, but only suceeding in making bad suggestions in her mind.

Vika's eyes were emotionless. Still she had on a pretty smirk. " Oh. Brook people thought it was funny that an eight year old had that much guts. And yes I would like to stick around and do some pranks. Except Its time for me to leave my mom's here take me home." She said with a hint of a laugh in her voice.


She stood up the blonde hair bounced on her shoulders. She waved to her mom and Drake her best friend. Before leaving the crowed room.
