William folded up the envelope to John McCartney. Things were going extremely well with the interest John had with Luce, which pleased Will. Of course, he was hoping that Lucifer would be entered to training and would have a place among the champions, but that had been a dream of his ever since the bond between he had made the bond between horse and himself. Will had just finished reading the letter John McCartney had returned, saying he would meet them over Christmas break, which was the longest break in Hogwarts. They wouldn't have much time, but it would be time enough for John to make his decision. Will grinned wildly, forgetting the sobering fact that Luce wouldn't know until Christmas came around. But - if one thought about it - Christmas was right around the corner! William stood up and tucked the envelope in his pocket, making sure it didn't wrinkle.
William was so energized he wasn't sure where to focus it all. He wanted to run, jump, yell for joy but instead held himself back. That was not expected of a Ravenclaw. Especially a sixth year. Sometimes, William disliked being a Ravenclaw. It did have it's limitations. With a small twirl that gave away the hyper energy behind his mask, William waltzed down to the Common Room, grinning at everyone. Today, somehow, somewhere, he need to celebrate. He would ride Luce around for an hour or so longer then usual, but he was no longer with his horse. He was miles away, only wishing and dreaming of the steady pound of hooves. With a sigh that soon turned into another silly smile, William shoved away his sadness for the separation between his friend. Things were better now and he had to focus on that.
Hogsmeade loomed on the horizon. This was the place William had decided to go for the celebration. He was a Ravenclaw, and he wanted to do something anyone would do but a Ravenclaw. With a small gesture at the people he knew, William went into the Three Broomsticks only to find it filled. He didn't like the lack of space between the bodies, so he he left. Simply and quickly - he left without a glance back. Well, one glance but that didn't count. It was a side glance, anywho. With a smile, William rounded on the tea shop. It looked dainty and feminine, but what the heck? Might as well go in. It certainly wouldn't be over-crowded. With a grin, Will opened the doors and stepped inside, welcomed by the ring over the door.
He sat near the window. The sunshine was easier to come by there then anywhere else and he felt like he needed to see people. The fact was - the shop was empty. Not a single person in here, not even the host that was supposed to wait on them! William sighed and put his chin on his palm, waiting. For what? Will looked over at the counter again. Not a noise. With a final, searching gaze, William stood up and walked over to the counter. His mouth was parched - no joke - and he needed that tea. William had never been to this place, but what difference did that make? He was thirsty, so thirsty, and hungry too. With a guilty glance around, William got himself a cup and filled it to the brim with steaming tea. He gulped it down quickly, nearly burning himself in the process. He filled it again. Gulped it down like water and - filled it again. He drank almost four cups by the time the door opened. He nearly dropped his glass. Steadying himself, Will put down his cup, trying to look normal, and looked at the person who had arrived.
"Umm..." William asked, his tongue fighting to form the words. "Would you like something to drink?" Will smiled and hoped the person hadn't seen him drinking. That would almost be like stealing. Not that he wouldn't pay them back but still....

"It's impossible, Elina!" The small Ravenclaw first year cried. She threw her wand on the floor and slumped into a near-by chair. The seventh year glared down at the little girl lightly before she bent to retrieve the wand. She knelt down infront of Mary-beth, and raised an eyebrow; "Nothing's impossible, as long as you think about it logically before diving head first into a mess of problems and altercations." She smiled warmly and handed the wand back to her before standing and waiting. Elina crossed her arms as Mary-beth stood and waved her wand and muttered the incantation. Suddenly the book they were using floated up toward the ceiling. Elina broke out into a smile and she picked up the little girl - twirling her around, "See?" Mary-Beth giggled as Elina set her down, and raced off to her dorm to show all the other firstie girls who couldn't complete the spell just yet.
Elina looked at the clock and sighed, she had to be at the tea shop in less than 20 minutes. She knew she could make it in time, but she hardly had anytime to get ready. She combed her hair and pulled it up quickly into a ponytail, grabbed her sweatshirt and jeans and pulled on a pair of boots. She had asked if she could work there for a bit on the weekends, earn some extra money for a fund that she needed to finish. After all she did want to become something worthwhile after her years at Hogwarts, and she needed money to make sure she started off on the right foot. That was Elina for you - always thinking sensibly. Ashley often was annoyed by it, but Elina seemed to do well with how she did things. She was very organized, very orderly, very out there at the same time as neat and prepared. It was a mixture of Ash's craziness and Elina's tidiness. It was an odd one, but a special one at that.
The clock chimed 15 till, and Elina grabbed her bag before hurrying out of the dormitory, through the common room and out the portrait hole. She nearly ran through the corridors and slid out into the grounds where a carriage awaited for someone to get in. She climbed in, and it was immediately set off - somehow it seemed to sense her need to get there as soon as possible. Pretty soon, the village of Hogsmeade loomed nearer and Elina smiled before checking her watch - 5 till. She could make it. The tea shop wasn't too far out. She climbed out, looked at where the thestrals were - and then raced off in the direction she needed to go. Her heeled boots clicked on the cobblestone ground and she made a right into an alleyway. Down that, and to her left was the tea shop.
It was one of the least busiest shops in Hogsmeade at the moment - which Elina was slightly thankful for, and slighlty not. She wanted to work, but she didn't want to feel too overworked. She opened the door - just in time to see a boy who looked to be around her age, drinking tea. She raised an eyebrow at him and tilted her head; "Would you like something to drink?" He asked. Elina smiled and set her bag down behind the counter and walked around, "I hope you are planning on paying for those drinks, Will." She told the sixth year Ravenclaw. She grabbed the glass from his hand and shooed him from behind the counter, "How many exactly did you drink?"

William sucked in a his breath as the person entered. Elina Hill was that person. Will let the breath go. She was a Raven seventh year. That could be good but it could also be bad. Some Ravens tattled on others because they were pledged to the rules while others just ignored a little fun. Will had never actually conversed much with Elina, but he had seen her around once or twice and had spoken a hello before. "Hello, Elina. You surprised me." William said as he began to set down the cup but was interrupted by Elina grabbing it out of his hand and shooing him away from the counter. He felt a smile pulling on his lips.
"Of course I would pay for them! You don't think of me as a thief, I hope." He pouted and sat down at one of the seats near the counter. There was only four. His eyes widened as she asked how many he had. "Not many," he said quickly, but he grinned all the while. "Just... probably....five," he relented, "if you must know I drank five. Happy now?" William twisted on his stool to try to see where the prices for cups were labeled. There wasn't one. William raised an eyebrow and looked around the room but still there was nothing. "I'll just give them...twenty." He said with a shrug. "It's all I have and it's all I could spend." He tugged on the stool to bring it closer to the counter. He rested his arms on it as well as his head. "So, what brought you here today? You already have a practical guess about I."

Mitch had spent the morning cleaning up his part of the dorm he wasn't one for being tidy but he knew when some thing needed to be cleaned it just took him a long time to do it. After a long and tiering morning of cleaning the dorm of all his junk and book etc , he headed owlery to send a letter home but when he got to the door he changed his mind and made his way back to the Common room . Mitch walked back down the stairs with a slow step he was taking his time not really wanting to be trapped in common room by him self seen as every body else had gone to Hogsmeade and that was when it struck him why not go to Hogsmeade like every one else?.
Mitch was walking down the marble stair case when he made his mind up , he just got to the bottom of the stairs when he saw a carriage just leaving the grounds and once that one was out of site another one pulled up .Mitch looked at the carriage for a moment before sticking a hand out and opening the door and climbing on board and as soon as he shut the door the carriage began to move .Mitch watched as the shop came in to view , the carriage stopped just short of the shops so Mitch quickly shuffled along his seat and out onto the uneven path he looked around at all the old looking shops before walking along the street and looking in the windows to see which shops weren't full to bursting point .
After he'd been walking up and down for about 20 minutes he spotted a shop it was a small shop but he could she that it wasn't packed so he walked over to the window and saw that it was a tea shop well thats what it looked like , Mitch could also see two people inside they were older then him but that didn't bother him, he walked up to the door then with one push it opened with a little jiggle like a bell . Mitch walked in and sat at the nearest table just looking at the other two people he couldn't help but grin at the looks on there face's . Mitch just sat looking for a moment before saying ''hi '' it was a bit to nice for a Slytherin but he was just happy not being in the common room , he sat on his stool awaiting a reply.

"Five?!" Elina exclaimed, her eyes wide. She shook her head and then turned around to fill up the tea pot again. He asked her what she was doing here, and she arched an eyebrow. Wasn't it painfully obvious as to why Elina Hill was spending her weekend at a tea shop in Hogsmeade. Really, she thought the apron would have given it away. She turned to look at him after she had turned the required thing on with the flick of her wand, and leaned against the counter behind her. Just then, the door opened and another student walked in. Elina didn't recognize him - so she smiled kindly and greeted him; "Hello, anything I can help you with?" She asked. She began pouring tea, well, sort of - the tea began pouring itself; and she placed it down in front of Will.
"I work here. Which is why I am here. As for you, I suppose the pumpkin juice or butterbeer at school didn't very much please your wants - so you decided to come to this dingy shop and get the worst tea around? I see. Well, it's all very amusing, Will. But why here? What's so special about here? Did you see it was empty and decided to slip in and grab a few drinks so no one could see you steal?" She teased playfully, she showed this in her smile before she walked over to the table with the new customer, the pot of tea following her. A smile still on her face; "Can I get you anything?"

Will arched an eyebrow at Elina while looking very upset. "It was good tea and I was thirsty!" He replied, abandoning the eyebrow and upset look for a guilty one. "I didn't mean to cause anyone trouble but my throat screamed for tea and it was right there. It teased me so I had to!" Will pouted and turned around on the stool in a complete circle. Just like he used to do when he was five. The door opened and Will turned once again to see a small kid walk inside and sit down not to far from him. Will gave the kid a quick grin, although he was sure he wasn't a Raven. Will recognized most Ravens, even the small ones. He might not be good at names, but he remembered faces rather well.
"You're doing it again!" Will cried, pointing a finger at Elina. She had placed the tea right in front of him and it was now pouring it's contents into a glass, taunting him. Will eyed it before looking back up at Elina. At first, he took her words to be accusatory and mean, but afterward, her smile showed she didn't really mean anything by it. He grinned. "I just came here to have some tea. I was thirsty and this shop was practically empty so I just decided: hey, might as well go in there and check it out. I did just that but no one was inside to take my order. I just took it upon myself to get the tea." Will grinned before adding on, "So, I plead innocent." He smiled and placed his head back on the table, content to just hear the tea splatter into the cup.
"I didn't know you worked here. Otherwise, I would have been quicker to put down my cup." Will winked at Elina and turned his head over to face the boy. He didn't say anything in order to let Elina wait on him. He didn't want to interrupt her from her job.

Mitch watched as the older girl came over to his table with the tea pot behind her nd asked if he wanted , Mitch looked around the shop to see what else besides tea he could get but he saw nothing so he opted for tea seen as he couldn't see anything else . Mitch looked up to the girl and said '' could i just have a tea please ?'' he was being polite because he was always polite when he was happy.
Mitch didn't wait for her to do anything before he asked '' do you sell food ?'' he rubbed his tummy then added '' I'm starved '' he finished with a little smile he then looked at the older boy who was looking in his direction , Mitch just looked back then said '' Hi I'm Mitch , Mitch Colins '' he smiled then sat awaiting a reply .
((it's a bit short sorry ))

Elina raised an eyebrow at the boy, "No. We don't sell food. This is called a tea shop. And we have pastries in the window for display only. Yes we sell food. What can I get you?" She said this while smiling so he was aware that she was just joking. Elina wasn't a girl who made fun of a lot of people - and when she did it was just out of good fun. The tea poured itself into a cup and she placed it infront of the kid before pulling out her notepad, poising her pen perfectly above the pad of paper. She had to write it down or else she would forget it. She always forgot things.
(( Alright, I know, It took me AGES to reply and it's not that good of a reply. I AM SO SORRY. I just have this HUGE Elina Tuscany post I want to do. ))

Post by Professor Minerva McGonagall on Dec 6, 2005 19:09:40 GMT
Minerva walked briskly through the streets of Hogsmeade the last of her Christmas shopping being arranged to be sent to the castle for her. It was far more practical this way. But now Minerva yearned for a nice cup of blueberry tea and a piece of tasty cauldron-cake. A bit of a conversation would have surely not hurt either. Minerva could converse with the other professors in Hogwarts yet sometimes a chat with someone you didn’t have to live in the same castle for 10 months in a year was much more diserable. Three Broomsticks was just the place to head to. Some warmth a bit of sweets and madam Rosmerta to talk to. What could be better?
Minerva pushed open the door to the pub and took a step in, shaking the scarf away from on top of her head and dustying her cloak off busily. “Good day mr.Jonas.“ Minerva nodded to a couple of Hogwarts students who offered hteir greetins before her eyes settled on a peculiar group. It was not peculiar to have a Ravenclaw 6th year and a 7th year conversing. But the 1st year Slytherins did most certainly not belong to Hogsmeade during school year! Minerva frowned and with her lips pulled to a tight line made her way over stopping at the table. “Mr.Colins I do expect you to know that 1st year are NOT allowed to Hogsmeade. Sneaking out of the castle will do you NO good. Such behaviour is unaceptable as every student allwoed to Hogsmeade is expected to behave at their best to uphold the schools honour. This will be 10 points from Slytherin and a week of detention for you. Mr.Senetta and ms.Hill I am very disappointed in you. As NEWTs your you should be well acquintanced with the school rules by now and should hav ebeen able to tell this young man here that he is not yet allowed to Hogsmeade. I shall be taking 5 points from Ravenclaw. And perhaps an evening in detention with our caretaker mr.Filch will help you recall any rules and regulations you might have forgotten. Your detention will take place tomorrow at 5.“
Minerva looked at the the three students with a stern look as she looked deeply at everyones face before nodding with satisfacting about the lack of complaints. “Very well. Mr.Colins please follow me to Hogwarts castle.“ Making sure the first year was following her Minerva left the pub once again and started heading back to the castle visible in the distance.
