Elle strolled down the little dirt roads in Hogsmeade in her plain black flipflops. She noticed that after the Diagon Alley attack, there weren't many people out, and if they were, they were all huddled in a group. That won't save them from anything, Elle thought to herself, if they decide to attack Hogsmeade next.
Elle was perfectly fine with walking places alone, as long as she had her wand and could summon her broom fairly quickly. A breeze blew her auburn hair, and she stopped to tie it up. While she was at it, she quickly pulling out her compact, checking that her makeup was okay, putting an extra coat of mascara on both sides of her eyelashes.
She went into Three Broomsticks and sat down at an empty two person table. She smoothed out her shirt, which said, "Don't give me attitude-- I have my own," and looked down at her jean capris while she waited. She had business to discuss with Amelia.
Since Elle had nothing better to do, she ordered an iced butterbeer, siping at it and thinking.

Amelia had gotten the letter that morning, sitting in her room at her dad's house, alone. She had just awoken and was yawning when an owl flew through her open window and dropped a letter on her pillow. She was used to this after five years of going to Hogwarts. She shushed the owl away before it could poo on her pillow and opened the letter. She raised an eyebrow after reading it. Buissness? She sighed and stood from her bed. The letter said to be in Hogsmead in an hour. She rolled her eyes and walked to her dresser, where her clothes were folded, not so neatly, in each drawer. She slipped on a pair of black jeans and a green tank top with a glittery fairy on it. She put on a pair of black flip flops and walked down the stairs. It was ten in the morning, her father and her step mom were already at work. She took hold of the phone and punched in her father's cell number. His voice answered.
"Adam Richardson," Amelia smiled at her father's friendly voice. "Hey dad," and she explained about meeting a friend in Hogsmead. He questioned her about how she was getting there and when she would get back, but in the end he agreed and Amelia hung up the phone, taking her purse and walking over to her fireplace. She took out her small bag of floo powder that she kept in a small pocket of her purse and threw a pinch into the fire, screaming, "THE THREE BROOMSTICKS" and she was suddenly spinning at wild speeds.
She was suddenly standing in the fireplace in Three Broomsticks, her head feeling a bit woozy. She stumbled out of the fireplace and shook her head, riding the dizzy feeling. She looked about and spotted Elle immidiatly. She didn't know the girl... maybe once or twice, but didn't know her. She walked over and smiled, slightly confused at why Elle wanted her here.
"Uh, hi?" she asked, "I'm here..."

Idiot Death Eaters! Why did they have to go and blow up Diagon Alley BEFORE Pansy had finished her shopping!? When she got back to Hogwarts, she swore she was going to beat Crabbe, and Goyle. The events in Diagon Alley forced Pansy to go to Hogsmeade and spend her money in many shops that were not on par with Diagon Alley. After hitting up the few shops that were worthy of her, Pansy had at last gotten all of her items. "Lina!" She said and a *POP* sound was heard as Pansy's house elf appeared at her feet. "Take these bags to my room, have the clothes cleaned and ironed, put my books into my trunk, go." The House Elf reached up and took the bags and once more disappeared with a *POP*
The streets of Hogsmeade were fairly busy but Pansy didn't see any of her friends, which made her a bit uneasy. Was there a reason why all her friends were not here today? Was another attack coming and no one had bothered to let her know? If that was the case, there would be hell to pay when she saw her friends! As she continued her walk around the village her stomach got the best of her and she made for the closest eating establishment, The Three Broomsticks.
As she approached the door, a younger boy, maybe a 3rd year was opening the door to let some old people exit. Pansy stood behind the boy as the elderly witches left because as a proper young witch she'd learn to respect the elders. Of course you were to take advantage of them if you could, but always show them respect to their face. Once the witches were outside, Pansy shoved the boy against the window and out of her way, then walked into the Three Broomsticks.
Straight to the bar Pansy went, throwing shoulders into anyone who was in her way, and even those who weren't. There were a few vacant seats at the bar and Pansy took the first one she reached. Next to her a little kid, maybe a 1st year was giving his order to Madam Rosmerta. The idiot was taking forever so Pansy snapped her fingers to get Rosmerta's attention, "Cold Butterbeer, and a chicken salad sandwich, honey roll, NO onions! If I find just ONE onion I will make sure my father hears about it and he'll take a close look at your financial situation, it'd be a real shame for you to be reported to Gringott's for false record keeping." Pansy then waved Rosmerta away from her with a lazy flick of her hand as she turned and looked about the place. Many people were chatting about their worthless problems, several students were here and there also, though none were worthy enough of her company.

Mack had ruined her broom. Dixie scowled as she passed the shops of Hogsmeade. Damn Death Eaters. She wasn't happy with the Death Eaters at the moment. When they attacked the castle, they stunned her. And then they went and tore up Diagon Alley; the only semi-good shops in the wizarding community. Mack had ruined her Firebolt, and Dix wanted to buy a new one. But the place to buy the broomstick, was in Diagon Alley which was currently shut off.
So, she was stuck in Second Hand Hogsmeade and was forced to look at the horrific clothes and items that were for sale. Dixie sighed angrily and made her way toward the Three Broomsticks. At least she could get some quality butterbeer. She wasn't happy about the fact that Hogsmeade was double packed because Diagon was closed, therefore more mudbloods were filling the tables of the Three Broomsticks. Dixie shoved through some little people and muttered some rather rude things under her breath, so barely anyone could hear. She finally reached the door and pushed it open, not really caring that she hit someone as she did so.
Dixie had been right, it was full of mudbloods and those unworthy. Except one person. Pansy Parkinson sat at a table. And Dixie contemplated approaching her or not. She chewed her lip as if she were shy, but headed over anyway. Determined to not get insulted. How do you approach someone like Pansy Parkinson? You can't do a casual hey, how are you? You have to be more direct in it. Dixie crossed her arms and glared down at the Pansy, then let her eyes wander around the pub- "It's filthy here. Who's bright idea was it to destroy Diagon?"

"Hey" Elle said to Amelia as she arrived, "Sit down, sit down. I see you arrived by floo powder. Never really liked that way of transportation. I always preferred flying." (OOC: I myself aren't sure about what business they're supposedly conducting. Any ideas? haha)
After looking around a bit, Elle lowered her voice, "Oh look! Miss Pansy Parkinson and Miss Dixie Holden. To think they're actually mingling with us 'half-bloods' and 'mudbloods'! Well I suppose they haven't got a choice, seeing as Diagon Alley closed down."
Making sure the two slytherin girls hadn't heard her, Elle continued in a louder voice, "I'll let you get something to drink or eat before I continue."
As she waited for Amelia to read the menu, Elle watched in disgust as Pansy shoved everyone out of the way, flouncing her hair and strutting over to the bar. What an idiot, she thought. Three Broomsticks was supposed to be a happy, cozy atmosphere. It should be very relaxed, and friendly, Elle thought, and it was until those two showed up, acting like they were above everyone. She wasn't too surprised though, seeing as they were both Slytherins.
Elle rolled her eyes and decided to watch some other people who were in the pub, one of them being a family with a particularly bratty little seven year old, who was whining that there was a speck on her mug chipped off, and demanded another one to drink out of. Elle sighed, so many people who would fit the slytherin description if they went to Hogwarts. I'm surprised that their dormitories aren't overflowing.
Looking back at Amelia, she smiled, waiting for her to finish picking what she wanted.

((OOC: I don't know... maybe a club? Or something...*shrug*))
Amelia sat down across from Elle with a smile and took hold of the menu. Then Pansy Parkinson walked in. She shook her head. Slytherins they think they know everything, and own everything at that. She sighed and nodded when Elle commented on that brat. She agreed whole-heartedly. She tilted her head to one side, twirling some of her neck-length hair about her index finger, biting her lip as she read through the menu. Everything looked good. Her head tilted to the other side, suddenly the door opened and Dixie Holden entered.
"Oh God..." Amelia said under her breath. Two Slytherins... togther? Bad... She shook her head again and decided she just wanted a butterbeer. She motioned for Madam Rosmerta and smiled, kindly. Rosmerta gave her a face that clearly said she wanted to know her order. Amelia told her and Rosmerta clicked away. She turned to Elle.
"So... what exactly did you need to talk with me about?"

OOC: Sorry I had to use your idea Amelia, I'm kinda low on them if you haven't noticed...
IC: Elle smoothed her hair down and took a drink before continuing.
"Well," she said, stalling deliberately and choosing her words carefully, "I received a little hint that you would like to start a group called the Gryffindor Knights, or whatever, to protect people from the different slytherin elite groups, like the Queens of Slytherin, going around terrorizing people who aren't good enough in their eyes, to be in Slytherin?"
She lowered her voice considerably, seeing as there were other Slytherins in the pub. Elle frowned. She had chosen Three Broomsticks purposely because she knew most Slytherins tended to go to Hog's Head to avoid the "half-bloods" and "mudbloods" that went to Three Broomsticks.
"I think," Elle continued, "That maybe we should form a club that kind of helps people in need, or you know, outcasts or people that get picked on. Not necessarily going AGAINST all those Slytherin clubs, but just kinda a club that welcomes anyone in, and helps them with their problems."
Elle twirled one of the ends of her hair thoughtfully, "Or, you know, we could make two clubs and have a Gryffindor club and a Ravenclaw club if our views differ a little bit. I do realize that Gryffindor harbors quite a bit more animosity towards the Slytherins than Ravenclaw, although the majority of us dislike them as well. Of course, if we separated the clubs, it would be easier because then meetings could be held in common rooms without having a Slytherin pop in or something. If we did that, we would probably sister or brother clubs and that would be pretty cool. So what do you think?"

Amelia raised an eyebrow at Elle. True, she had wanted a club that helped against the Slytherin Clubs... but to be approached like Elle had, was so... she couldn't exactly tell. It did anger her slightly, however. Elle had turned Amelia's idea and made it sound like her own. Amelia saw through her idiotic anger, however, and saw the proposition in it. It sounded as if Elle wanted credit for the organization of the club, but Amelia knew it wasn't so. That wasn't like Elle. It seemed that Elle wanted two clubs. One Gryffindor and one Ravenclaw that were against the Slytherins. Also, her idea for something like a councilor group was almost laughable. Amelia sighed, scratching her neck in thought. She took a sip of her butter beer and looked at Elle, thoughtfully.
"So, what you are proposing is, that we take my idea about a Gryffindor club and make two instead of just one? A Ravenclaw one also? Is that what you're asking?" she asked, "Or is it that you want credit for my idea for a club?" she couldn't help but be a bit cold. She raised an eyebrow and stared at Elle, taking another drink of butterbeer, waiting for the girl's answer.
"And this thing about a little comfort group?" she finally laughed a bit, "I'm sorry, I don't want to be rude," it was a sincere apology and Amelia hoped Elle could see that, "but, I don't feel comfortable creating a little group for whining kids to come and complain," her voice changed dramatically into apologetic yet again, "But if that's what you want to do... then you should! I mean, just because I don't want to make a club for... well... troubled students, doesn't mean you shouldn't!" she hated how horrible her whole answer had been. She wanted Elle to know that she wasn't a bad person.. just a girl being herself.

Elle suppressed a laugh. She didn't want credit, she had wanted to help. Besides, what credit would you get? Elle thought, you just get the credit of doing more work during free time!
"No no no," she said, "I don't want the credit at all. If I wanted credit, I would probably just go ahead and start my own club with your idea. I just wanted to maybe extend it a little and make a Ravenclaw club too. And I think counseling would be an okay idea. I mean, people have often told me that I should be a motivational speaker or a counselor, and I know some people can't stand it when others rant to them about their problems, and I can understand that too. Also, I thought maybe I could help. No, I don't want credit at all. Plus, it's an excuse to come to Three Broomsticks and get more butterbeer. Afterall, I am muggle born, and during the summer when I'm at home I don't get butterbeer."
She tried to make her intentions clear. She took a sip of her butterbeer and looked at Amelia, waiting for her reply. Elle hoped she hadn't offended her. Thinking back about what she said, it did seem a little like she wanted to pretend it was her idea. Hmmm...maybe she can do her little Gryffindor thing and I'll start up a counseling club since she doesn't seem to like listening to other's problems.
OOC: Sorry so quick I have a lot of posts to get to and I'm grounded from the computer so I'm sneaking on and my dad just came home...
Edit: Nevermind he thinks I'm reading in my room...I added more.

Amelia relaxed a bit when Elle assured her that was not why she was proposing this. Amelia felt a smile grace her lips as Elle explained her reasoning. She did not want to say yes, however. What she wanted was to start this club by herself and creating another joint club would make it a bit complicated. She waited for Elle to finished and even after the girl did, Amelia paused, taking a long drink of butterbeer. She considered making two clubs... but she didn't really want to. She bit her lip and then smiled softly.
"Well... I understand that you want to help, but I really only wanted Gryffindors in the club, see," she paused again, "And bringing in the Ravenclaw would confuse things and make it all a bit too complicated. So I'm sorry, but I don't think we should make two clubs," she felt horrible for turned the girl down, but then brightened.
"But I do think you should start that counciling club," she smiled, "It sounds like a good idea,"

"Well away from the topic of clubs," Elle said, thinking that her little business talk with Amelia was over, "What did you do this summer?"
The talk had been somewhat of a failure, but she didn't really care anymore. She didn't feel the burning passion to start up a club like she did at the beginning of her meeting. Now, she felt like it would be rather hard work, and very time-consuming. Elle knew she was being lazy, and her good conscience nudged her ever so slightly, but she didn't pay much attention.
She sipped at her butterbeer, feeling a slight bit guilty about not telling either of her muggle parents about the Diagon Alley attack. She knew they thought she was safe in Hogsmeade for the summer, and weren't at all aware that Lord Voldemort was coming back into power.
Elle twirled a strand of her hair, thinking and staring out the window. She saw a small child, probably about five years old, with the most adorable smile in the world. She had dimples too, she thought, watching the kid talk to her grandma, with a hand full of candy, and the other entwined with the elderly woman's hand. She smiled. Elle couldn't remember back when she was that little at all.
Then, she looked over at the two slytherins, still conversing. A look of hatred crossed her face, for just a second, and then it was gone, a sweet smile in it's place. No, it wouldn't do to hate those whom she didn't know too well. I don't want to know them well, Elle thought, but still keeping her smile intact and making sure none of them had seen her hatred-filled look being cast towards them. After Fiona though, she didn't think that she would ever grow to become friends with a slytherin.

Amelia was glad that Elle didn't want to talk about clubs anymore. She was feeling a bit short tempered that morning and understood it was from her own girlish hormones... not that it was pleasant or something to brag about. She sighed, thinking of the pointless days she spent on her computer, chatting with her muggle friends and playing games. She thought back to her many un finished stories and wondered if she was ever going to finish it. She bit her lip, wondering if she should share her flirtations with the older boy she went to church with... but that seemed to too privet to tell Elle, so she sighed again, thinking of an answer to the girl's question.
"Well, I attended this really cool camp... very expensive though. I usually don't do alot over the summer breaks. I spend most of my time sleeping and playing the computer," she paused, then decided to explain what a computer was... seeing as Elle was a witch there was a good chance that she didn't know what a computer was, "Oh, uhhh a computer is this machine that lets you write stories and save stuff... I love the go on the Internet, or this program that connects you to other Muggle's computers, letting you talk to them and stuff," she hated her explaination, but sighed anyway. Maybe Elle already knew what a computer was and she was waisting her time.
"Well anyway... what did you do this summer?" she felt a bit stupid asking. After a confusing explaination like that? She mentally kicked herself, but then smiled instead.

Elle nodded, knowing exactly what a computer was. She herself often went on AOL Instant Messaging with her muggle friends. They always complained quite a bit when she left for the fall term for Hogwarts, where there weren't any computers or any reception from her cell phone. They complained about e-mailing her and calling her and not getting any response. Now how on earth was she to tell them about her magical ability and Hogwarts?
"Yeah," she said to Amelia, "I know what a computer is. I'm muggleborn, so you can imagine. This summer I spent most of my time in Hogsmeade, in a hotel by myself for over a month. Then I went home for a few weeks, but I do like to visit Hogsmeade often. Coke is never as good as butterbeer, you know. But yeah, I spent the time at home with all my muggle friends, shopping and throwing sleepovers and stuff."
She paused, chugging down about half her butterbeer. Having Amelia mention computers reminded her about how she hadn't even bothered to check her e-mail once that summer, and now the inbox was probably overflowing. Last year, Elle had 1,947 e-mails by the time she got back, most of them being angry e-mails from her friends telling her to reply and check her e-mail more.
Then she spoke again, "You know, I love YIM. There's IMVironments, and there's one called doodle pad or whatever. Sometimes, with my other muggleborn friends, we play blow up the slytherin. It's quite fun when you're bored actually. I mean, they torment us enough, and what I do is just a healthy way of letting off some steam." (OOC: Me and Cassie actually did a couple of rounds of that on YIM because I was extremely bored and I saw that she had YIM. Do you have it?)
Elle laughed, and then smiled and waited for Amelia's reply.

Amelia smiled, relieved she knew what a computer was. She felt a bit excited when Elle confessed she was a muggleborn. She was also, "Oh my god! I'm a Muggleborn too!" she sighed mentally at herself, Ohmy God was the one phrase she said all the time and couldn't help it! She smiled, ignoring it, "Oh how did you get out for a whole month by yourself?" she was jelous, but in a joking way, "My parents would never let me out. My mom is too..." she put on a fake voice, something like her mother's, "I couldn't bear to loose my baby! The summer is when I get to see you... not you go off by yourself... I wanna come," she stuck out her tongue, "She suffocates me," she then laughed a bit.
Then Elle started talking about instant messaging, one of her favorite things to do. She listened and waited for Elle to finish and then smiled as she started on her own rant about instant messaging, "oh I've always wanted YIM.... but my dad only has MSN instant messanger and my mom has AOL," she stuck out her tongue again, "I hate AOL, it needs to be destroyed. And she has this idea that I'm still a little kid, so she puts these Parental Controls on it... blah! and a time limit... talk about lame!" she smiled again.
((OOC: no, like i said above, I only got AOL and MSN))

Elle laughed when Amelia got excited. She herself was rather excited to meet another muggleborn. Those were rather rare in the wizarding community, because magic was a recessive gene in muggles.
"Yeah that's soo cool!" Elle exclaimed.
When Amelia asked about getting out a whole month by herself and talked about her parents, Elle laughed as well. She brushed a piece of loose hair out of the way and answered.
"Well this was at the very end of the school year, before that Diagon Alley thing, and that helped. And then when it happened, I kinda 'forgot' to tell my parents about it until I came home. They were kinda disappointed in me, but you see, I'm the oldest child so I'm allowed a lot more freedoms than others normally get. My parents aren't overprotective of me. I mean, they are protective, but not to the point where it's just...sickening. They mostly let me come and go wherever I want, do whatever I want, and things. They're point of view is that if I make a mistake, it doesn't hurt them, it only hurts me. If I'm reckless, I'm the one that gets cooped up in a hospital in a crapload of pain. Therefore, I get to go wherever and do pretty much whatever I please. I love it."
Elle couldn't help bragging just a little bit about her family life. She and her parents got along quite well, and they let her do things that most other parents wouldn't let their children do. One being staying in Hogsmeade for a couple months after the spring term ended.
When Amelia began her little mini-rant about AOL, she smiled, "Well I have AIM and YIM. AOL doesn't need to be destroyed, I rather like it. As far as Parental Controls and time limits, well, I almost never get to go on the computer anyway, since I'm at Hogwarts all year, so when I go on, my parents don't do anything to prevent me from staying on for a couple of hours. But I've never excessively IMed for a day. I just have too much going on in my life to waste time on the computer for more than a few hours. I also have a livejournal and an online photo album which I made in my spare time. It's been awhile since the last updates though."
Once she finished, she looked at Amelia and waited for her reply.
OOC: Oh well as I said above I have AIM and YIM. And yes Elle does have a photo album and a journal that I made for her. Not much stuff on it though...

Amelia's mouth dropped open in jelouse surprise. Her shoulders slumped slightly and she smiled a sort of pouty smile, only for a few laughs. She sat that way until Elle made eye contact with her, then she laughed a bit, the pout gone and only joy remained. She shrugged, smiling, "Well, you are most definatly lucky!" she said in truth, "I mean, wow... my mom won't let me out of her sight during the summer holidays, but my dad and my step mom work all day, so while their at work I'm alone all day... So shopping!"
After Elle finished her comments about AOL, Amelia rolled her eyes slightly, "Well, my momma works too and that leaves hours of boredom..." she smiled again, "I love the computer and my momma doesn't have AIM... no it's the whole AOL package, and it's very annoying. My dad has DSL hook-up, that is so nice..." She loved being able to be on the computer and the phone at the same time.

OOC: Sorry it took so long. Short-term writer's block and craploads of stupid MATH homework.
IC:
Elle laughed when Amelia's jaw dropped open. She knew she was very lucky to have such parents, but it had taken her a while to gain their trust. When she was younger, her parents didn't trust her quite as much, but once Elle proved she could be responsible enough, her parents were more lenient.
"Well," she said, "My parents used to do that when I was younger, but once they started letting in a little more freedom, and I proved I could handle it, they handed me the reins little by little. My mom works part-time, but I always end up hitching a ride with a friend or something. Either that, or I'll jog over. I do enjoy running."
She grinned, remembering the time she had jogged all the way down to the plaza. It had taken her two hours, but she had jogged non-stop, with a water bottle in hand of course. Elle's friends were very surprised to see her there, remembering that she hadn't managed to get a ride. She was just very independent like that, and being the oldest child helped.
She fixed her attention back upon Amelia, trying to offer some advice.
"Well, maybe if you asked your parents to let you do something by yourself, something small, and you prooved to then that you could do it, they might gradually allow you to do more things. That's the way it happened to me anyway. And let your mother know that even though you love her dearly, you do need some space, and some alone time."
She drank the last drops of her butterbeer, and then, putting the bottle back on the table, twirled a small piece of her hand with her finger, waiting for Amelia's reaction.

Amelia rolled her eyes when Elle said she liked to run. Amelia despised running... in her very own words while talking to friends- "Running is evil!" She smiled after her eye rolling to make sure Elle didn't get offended by it. She stuck out her tongue in a comical way, "I hate running... it should be banned!" she giggled a bit, "Very evil, running is..." she smiled again, suddenly reminded of Yoda from Star Wars...
She stopped talking and listened when Elle mentioned slowly gaining her mother's trust. Amelia shrugged, "I'm here aren't I?" she smiled again, "But no... that's basically what I've been doing." she shrugged again, "But whatever, really," she smiled again.
Suddenly her pocket rang out and a vibrating sensation erupted from her pants. She jumped, looking at her pocket. Inside was a cell phone that she had never seen before. She looked at it suspiciously... where did she get a cell phone? She pressed the talk button and her father's voice rang from the reciever.
"Like your new cell phone?" "REALLY!? Thanks daddy!" "No problem, baby. But you need to come home,"
Amelia sighed and debated a bit before she hung up and looked at Elle disappointedly, "I better go," she smiled, "See you at school?" she smiled again and walked out of the pub, heading home and marvelling at her gift.
((OOC: sorry to cut it so short, but I want to end all my 'summer vacation' posts now that school started))
