Alarice shifted the weight of her incredibly heavy side backback to her opposite shoulder, inwardly cursing her potions professor. Why did he have to assign so much damn homework every damn night?? And same with charms. Practice this practice that. And dont even get me started with Transfiguration. "Write me a foot and a half inch essay on transfiguring an mouse into a tea cozy." Yeah dont think I will Professor Mcgonnigal. Thought Alarice sarcastically. It wasnt that she didnt like her professors or classes. It was just that she had a lot of better things to be doing besides homework.
Oh well, at least its the weekend. Alarice thought smiling slightly as she made her way down the street. It was Friday night and she was on her way into Hogsmeade alone. All of her friends were busy with other stuff that evening and couldnt accompany her. Since Alarice had A LOT of work to get done, she decided that she would take it into Hogsmeade and if she got the chance she would sit down with a butterbeer and do it. But that 'chance' wasnt likely to come. She was in the mood to have some fun that night, and homework just wasnt her idea of a good time. But for some reason it made her feel less guilty if she just took the homework along when her best friend Kelley interrigated her every Sunday about why she did not start her homework sooner.
"I did make an effort. I took it into Hogsmeade with me." Was Alarice's ready made excuse, and then Kelley would let her copy her own work insisting that she get it done sooner next time.
Alarice pulled her long blonde hair up into a ponytail and zipped up her black jumper as she entered the Hogshead to grab a butter beer and find someone to hang out with.
