It was the first Hogsmeade weekend since school started back. However, Jamison wasn't too interested on visiting the village as he had several times during the holidays. It always seemed the same and the magical quality forced on it when he was a third year was gone. Back then, the village had a new mystery behind every corner. Now, it was the same thing everywhere with no surprises. The village seemed much for bright back then. Every single window seemed lit and the streets always seemed full of pretty snow in the winter. Now, it all seemed much darker. People weren't as happy as they were back then. Most were concerned for safety with all the attacks. Some wouldn't even leave their homes. Everyone seemed to travel in large packs. The village seemed more like a prison that a village. But, Jamison knew none of this would change at least for awhile.
Jamison picked up his feet moving through the old layer of snow that was dirty and melting. The ground seemed like a pig sty in a way and defiantly wasn't the white snow most were used to. The village smelled the same as usual. The food from the Three Broomsticks could always be detected and the tea from the Tea Shop was always there too. They sky seemed blueish, but rather misty. The village lost all appeal to him at that moment. Jamison felt the cold tug on his clothes. He was wearing his jeans with a blue sweater, brown suede jacket, and guy wallabies. The village was windy and it over came him at different moments. For a second, not a sound was heard until, something hit him hard in the back. "Catch me!" Yelled a third year that threw a snowball at him. Jamison wasn't in that great of a mood to be understand or upset. So, he just kept walking ignoring it and hoping the little kid would learn the error of his ways.
Jamison heard the bell ring as he made his way into Catalina's Cubby. Catalina, the owner, was a former Ravenclaw student. her cubby was a popular hang-out for students as most seemed very caring towards her. Jamison like to meet up with his own friends at the store and that day he arranged to meet Tristen there. He walked inside and wearily headed towards the gift section just searching. Every turn he made, Jamison came face to face with something he knew Wendi would love. However, he resisted the urge to buy her something even though he loved doing just that. Jamison smiled still looking as he heard the door chime ring.

Tristen woke late like he always did on the weekends. She tightly closed his eyes, he wasn't expecting the bright morning sunlight. Tristen didn't feel to good. He had a pain, like someone banging on drums in his forehead. Tristen rubbed his head where the pain was. "Oh great.." Tristen mumbled, as he sat up in his bed. His body was ready to get up, and go out to do something, but his eyes, were so tired they were watering. He felt something biting his foot. It felt like little needles pking at him. He looked down not really caring to see his cat Scruffs. He knocked the cat of his foot, and got up to brush his teeth. Tristen hoped that once he had showered, and gotten dressed that he would be awake enough to go meet his friend Jamison with a good mood. He clumsily got out of bed, and headed to the bathrooms to shoer, and brush his teeth.
When he was done. He dried off, and walked back to his room. His roommates were already out doing their stuff. Tristen didn't feel too terribly tired now, but his head still hurt. His curly blond hair now drying, he ran his hand through it. He walked to his dresser, and pulled out his long sleeved navy blue t-shirt, and his jeans. He put on his clothes, and got out some socks. He put his socks, and converse on. He smiled as he looked over to Scruffs, and he was curled up in a little ball on his pillow. Tristen, now officially awake, walked over to the closet, and grabbed a jacket. Though the snow outside was melting, it was still cold. He put on his jacket, and said bye to Scruffs, then headed off for Hogsmeade. He walked down his dorm stairs out past his common room, and outside heading straight for the little village. Tristen was going to meet his friend Jamison in Catalina's Cubby. He had been in there a few times. The Cubby was a neat cafe/ shop for teens. Catalina was a former Hogwarts student, she had graduated. Tristen wished he could have gotten a job there. He thought that it would have been fun. He needed the extra money to.
Tristen smiled upon reaching Hogsmeade. His smiled soon faded, as he had to get checked. He hated how everyone was so incredibly up tight now. Then again, he could understand why they would be. Tristen was finished getting check, so he walked into the little village, and looked around. Everything was so grey. It wasn't anything like it used to be. The only thing that was the same was the smell. It was very quiet, and he found it to be quite eerie. It used to never be this quiet in Hogsmeade. Their was always something to celebrate, but not anymore. Tristen just shook his head, and headed into to Catalina's Cubby. He opened the door, and heard the little door chime. He smiled upon seeing the swarm of people he knew. He smiled at some of his friends, then headed over to where Jamison was. Tristen laughed. Jamison was looking at some little girl stuff again. "Up to your old tricks huh J? Tristen laughed. He knew that he was looking at stuff for Wendi. Wendi was Jamison's little sister. She was a first year and wasn't able to go into Hogsmeade yet. Tristen tried to calm himself, and waited for a come back from Jamison.

"Oh yea, don't you think these bring out my eyes?" Jamison joked holding up Hufflepuff hair pins. He then threw them back into their stops still laughing a bit at his joke. Somehow, Jamison always managed to laugh around Tristen. Probably more so than if he was around some of his friends who were girls. Jamison had several that he knew very well. However, some people would look at that and assume that Jamison liked every one of them as more than just friends. However, that wasn't true. Jamison only liked one girl and only Wendi knew who. He actually didn't even tell her. Wendi was smart enough to figure that out on her own. She had always been good at doing stuff like that. Jamison smiled again at Tristen. "Well, I feel bad I can't bring her to Hogsmeade." He laughed. Jamison always bought her something when he came inside the village. He hated to leave her at the castle all alone, but he knew he couldn't bring her until she was a third year.
"Well, let's go to the cafe." Jamison said moving to the other side of the store where the cafe was. Jamison quickly ordered a butterbeer as he wasn't too hungry and sat at a table looking at Tristen. "So, what's been up with you?" He asked his Ravenclaw friend. "What girls do you like?" Jamison asked with a funny grin on his face. He really was curious. Jamison wasn't girl crazy at all even though many people thought that. It didn't make sense to him. Jamison was nice and polite, but people still thought of him as the cute guy that had a lot of girl friends. Of course that was a lie and Jamison often wished that would go away. He wanted people to know him as the nice, smart guy who plays guitar and nothing else.
Jamison watched as he payed for his drink and took a sip. At that moment, Jamison missed Wendi. Wendi and Jamison had a special relationship. He often found himself wishing she was there. Wendi always made everything fun. Jamison felt bad for her. She had never known their parents and still, she was always happy. Of course, she did cry about to sometimes, but as she grew older that was becoming less often. Jamison snapped out of his gaze looking at Tristen waiting for an answer.

Tristen laughed at Jamison's comment. "Ok.. Too much info.." Tristen said jokingly. Tristen watched as he tossed the clips back into their place. Tristen was glad that him, and Jamison were friends. Jamison was hilarious, and they shared the same interests. They agreed on most anything. He didn't get to see Jamison alot however, because he was always hanging out, and about with his friendgirls. (Girls that really are just friends) There was only one girl who he like likes, but he didn't know that Tristen knew who he really liked out of all the girls he hung out with. "Thats understandible." Tristen said in response to J's comment about not being able to bring Wendi to Hogsmeade. Wendi was so sweet. Of any of the first years, she deserved to be able to go to Hogsmeade. She was so sweet, and very intelligent. Like she would get into any trouble or anything.
"Ok lets go then.." Tristen said teasing. They walked over to the cafe, and sat down. Jamison ordered a Butterbeer, and then proceeded to ask him a question. "Nothing much really.." Tristen smiled his dimples showing. "Umm, theres one girl.. She's a fifth year Gryffindor like me.." He laughed at Jamison's face he was making. "Who do you like then?" Triste asked even though he secretly already knew. He had his own connections. He laughed, he couldn't help it. Tristen, never really chased after girls, he wasn't a girl crased maniac or anything. Only genuine girls caught his eye. He liked girl that had a since of humor, and girls who are active, and not to prissy that they can't go out and have fun. Him, and Jamison had some what the same opinions on girls. Tristen looked back over to J. He had gotten quiet again. "Your thinking about Wendi aren't you?" He asked already knowing he was. Jamison and Wendi, were very close. Jamison couldn't stand not having her around for even a few minutes. "Shes fine.." Tristen said nicely. She was probably out exploring the castle with her friends, or doing something else she like to do.. Like eat candy.
Wendi had always been a candy fanatic. "You know, I should get her some candy." "Like a welcome to Hogwarts sorry I haven't been able to visit you yet gift." Tristen said smiling, he knew that would be the best thing to give her, as long as it was ok with Jamison, because he was the one who had to take care of her when she got all hyper. Tristen laughed just thinking about it. "How has she been liking Hogwarts?" He asked curiously. He oredere a Butterbeer, while he waited for a response from J.

Jamison shrugged his shoulders for a second thinking of how to answer Tristen's question. "Well, I like just one girl as well. She's a fifth year Ravenclaw also." Jamison said susecially as to not give anything away. Of course, his comment hadn't helped Tristen. There were several Ravenclaw fifth year girls. Narrowing down it down to one girl was nearly impossible and Jamison gave a funny grin at that. Jamison had several friends that were girls. It was almost to the point that some people thought he was girl crazy. Actually, several thought that way. It got sort of out of hand sometimes as that was not the truth at all. He hated how stupid rumors like that spreaded. Hogwarts seemed the same as a muggle school when it came to rumors. He really did hate them, however some of the stupid ones could be quite humorous. Most made Jamison laugh, but some were to the point of really hurting some people.
Jamison nodded tilting out of his trance. "Yep." He said lightly. "Well, I'm just kind of her guardian now and that's not the easiest thing in the world." Jamison said adding a fake smile to it. He then decided to lighten the mood. He smiled as Tristen talked about buying Wendi some candy. "I'm sure she would love that more than I can say." Jamison laughed just thinking about it. Wendi was a candy fanatic and could never have enough. "Wow, actually you would be her favorite person in the world if you did that." Jamison said. She would probably feel that way as Jamison knew. She was go so giggly and would be nice to anyone. So, if Tristen gave her candy, Jamison could just imagine the reaction. It had to be a good one and that candy would be finished within the day.
Jamison shrugged a bit thinking of how to answer Tristen's question. "I think she really loves it." He said calmly. "She does miss her many muggle friends and the streets of London which she loves." He said smiling as he thought about her randomly making friends with people on the streets. "She's doing great in her classes of course." HE paused knowing how bright she was. Even though Hufflepuffs were usually seen as happy dumb kids, Jamison knew that wasn't the truth at all. Wendi was a perfect example of that. Jamison then looked back at Tristen. "Well, how has your year been. How about your classes?" Jamison asked in his usual friendly tone.

"Hmm does her name happen to start with an M?" Tristen asked smiling like crazy. He wanted to see how freaked out J would be if he started to realize that he already knew who Jamison liked. Tristen knew the girl Jamison liked just through rumors, facts, secret sources, and he isn't dumb. He can tell when J is actually interested in the girl he's hanging around with. Tristen smiled and took a few sips of his Butterbeer. Tristen laughed a little, he was thinking of all the girls Jamison hangs around with. "Man have you ever counted how many friendgirls you have?" Tristen asked in astonishment. He had been counting just the ones he knew of and there were quite a few. "Oh, yeah I figured you were, whenever you go into a blank stare, you are usually thinking about Wendi." "But its understandable." Tristen smiled. Of course it was understandable. They had lost their parents, and Jamison was like Wendi's parents. He was amazing. Tristen couldn't imagine how he would be if he didn't have his parents.
Well if she would like it that much then I shall get her some on the way out!" Tristen smiled. He loved doing nice things for little Wendi she was so adorable, and a really heavy hearted little girl. Wendi made him think of his baby brother. Her being like the baby in her and J's family, and Parker in his. Parker was still very young. Tristen smiled thinking of his cute baby brother's little face. He wished he could be there home with him. "Well now, what kind of candy does she like the most?" Tristen laughed, why even ask that, she liked every kind! Tristen looked down at his Butterbeer, picked it up and took a few more sips, and then replied to Jamison. "I knew she would love it here!" "She is so bright, and witty.. I don't doubt shes the brightest out of all the little firsties." "Has she been making plenty of new friends?" Tristen already knew that answer for she was the most outgoing little girl out of all the first, heck even seconds years at Hogwarts.
"Umm.. Everything thing is going well." "I've been working hard with my studies, and I have been having fun also." "So I'd say I'm loving this year so far..." Trsiten smiled. He was kind of nervous there was the OWLS coming up. He wanted to do good. He took a sip of his Butterbeer. "How about your studying, everything in check?" He laughed he knew J was very smart and was probably doing better than him in that regard.
