Ariane raised her arms obediently as the tailor added a few pins to her new dress aorudn it’s sleeve. „The dress really compliments your eyes, miss,“ the tailor told Ariane before smiling to her mother, „You have a gorgeous daughter, mrs. Dianne.“ „I know. She’s a little angel,“ came the fond responce from her mother ho smiled at Ariane. Ariane didn’t respond. She knew she was pretty. Long blond locks tumbling down her back, big green eyes. No, compliments were no news for her. Neither was being at a tailor. What else but the very best would be good enough for her?
Finally after 10 minutes they were done and Ariane stepped down from the podium while picking up her regular dress. A white dress that came to rest at her knees with Slytherin green slashes in it. Ariane reattached a small silvery chair with a small emerald hanging from it around her neck once again. True, she would only be starting Hogwarts this year, but she wore the colours of her house proudly. „The dress will be finished within a week,“ the tailor said and Ariane’s mother nodded coldly, „Good. Come Ariane, let’s go and have a quick lunch.“
The two woman exited the parlor and walked down the streets of Hogsmeade. Looking at the people milling around here Ariane sneered at them mentally. Why did such lowlifes will the streets? They were most certainly not worthy to breath the same air as she. Mother and father always told Ariane she was a little angel. Ariane knew that it was true also. „Are we going to Hogs Head, mother?“ Ariane asked her mother while stepping around a puddle on a street, „I would like some fish with peanuts they prepare there. And a honey-peach cake.“ „Of course, sweetheart,“ came the absent-minded responcefrom her mother and a few minutes later they entered Hogs Head.
The owner of the pub rushed forward to greet them, leading them to a table immidiately. Her mother bowed and kissed Ariane’s forehead: „Order your lunch, dear, I will be back. I have to talk to a friend for a little bit.“ Ariane watched as her mother scurried away to some private room in the back of the building and ordered the fish she had wished. Ariane had good taste. Crossing her legs Ariane tapped a finger on the table while looking out of the window. She was a bit bored, but she knew better than to stare at the other guests. Especially in Hogs Head. Not that she had anything to fear here.

Dix's brown eyes pierced a pair of bright blue ones. The blue eyes belonged to her sister. THey were having an argument, and Dix was just about to win. She couldn't recall what the argument was about- but all that mattered was she was winning. Mack threw her hands up in the air, clearly exasperated; "Fine! You win!" She then walked off. Her little outburst didn't help Dix's confusion much, but she shrugged it off as another victory and gathered her things. She put a pair of sunglasses on her head, applied her lip-gloss, then *POP* she was gone. She was extremely glad she could apparate, where as her little sister had to wait another two years. Dix arrived in a small shop in Hogsmeade, it was quite empty- surprisingly and she dusted herself off from having landed not so nicely in a pile of dust and wood shavings. She still needed to work on her landing.
Dixie made a mental note to come back and yell at the shop owner to clean up behind their store as she stood and headed toward the Three Broomsticks. A nice lunch was in order, after she had ruined her nice clothes. Dix pushed open the large door and nearly shrieked in surprise as she ran into the backside of someone. Dixie looked up to see a rather large man in front of her. Apparently he hadn't felt anything. Dix scowled and looked along the line into the rest of the pub. It was too full of people for her to wait to get in. Dixie stood on her toes and yelled loud enough for everyone to hear; "Madame Rosmerta! The reason your pub is swamped is because you let mudbloods and halfbloods into it! Filth!" She went back onto the balls of her feet and crossed her arms.
Madame Rosmerta came over to her soon, her eyes cross and her tone full of hatred; "Get out of my pub." She stated simply. Dixie rolled her eyes and left, not because she was told, but because filth was crawling around everywhere. She headed toward the Hogshead, hoping to get more respect there than she had at the Three Broomsticks. Dix pushed open that door to reveal the cold atmosphere of the Hogshead. There was a nod her way, they knew who she was. She was Derreck Holden's daughter, the one who was good. Not the horrible rotten one. That was Mack. Dix was the respected and respectful daughter in the Holden blood line. And she was proud of it. It wasn't too long when she was at a table and thinking about what to order. Dix sighed and looked around. A little girl was staring out the window. Of course, it didn't take a sleuth to know who the little girl was. Dixie knew who she was, but only by talk. Ariane Dianne. Her mother and father both told her repeatedly of the spoilt little girl.
She contemplated whether or not to go over and converse with the little girl. A few moments later she walked over and said; "Lost?"

Ariane looked out of the window coldly. Her eyes half-closed, head turned a little so her best side – not that Ariane even had a bad side – turned towards the pub. Eyeing her white-green nail-polish critically Ariane decided that it was alright. And it fit her dress. Mother sometimes said that Ariane might be a little young for nail-polish but Ariane disagreed. So she wore nail-polish whenever she wanted. Ariane was careful to choose light colours or green however. She never wore diamonds either. Diamonds were for old people. And Ariane wasn’t old. Picking up a shining wine-glass Ariane took a sip of the mineral water inside it.
A few moments later someone walked over. Only one word “Lost?” was spoken and Ariane’s anger flashed for a moment. Didn’t this person know who she was? Of course she wasn’t lost. Who did they think she was? Some worthless lowlife? None of Ariane’s thoughts showed on her face however as she turned her head calmly. Her ears bright and big Ariane smiled coldly at the girl standing there. “Dixie Holden, it’s a… pleasure… to see you here,” Ariane replied calmly with a nod of her head as information whizzed threw her mind. Holden’s were a good family. Slytherins as Ariane recalled. Ariane was relatively sure there were 2 daughters in the family, however weren’t there any problems with one of them? Didn’t matter. Dixie here was counted to be a more-or-less respectable Slytherin. All these thoughts too barely a second to whirl through Ariane’s mind as she smiled at the girl calmly: “Mother wanted to say hello to an old… friend.” Ariane replied leaving the pause deliberately. If Holden’s were good, then this girl would understand that it was something to do with helping the Dark Lord and the Death Eaters. If not – well, nothing discriminating couldn’t be read out of Ariane’s words either.
“I’m sure she’ll be back in no time. You are welcomed to take a seat,” Ariane continued calmly. She had been raised like a lady after all. Besides getting to know one more Slytherin wouldn’t be bad. Perhaps this one actually had her priorities straight. Not like some others Ariane had seen.

Dix smirked at Ariane's greeting. It wasn't exactly a sweet greet, but it wasn't as nasty as Dixie had anticipated it to be. She took a seat after it was offered to her and leaned back in her chair, "So, your mother is well? I find it surprising that she left you alone. Especially in this place....there could be someone who would like to harm a little child such as yourself." Dix hadn't said that to be mean, she said it to be honest. She was quite shocked to see such a gem as Ariane alone in the Hogshead. It wasn't exactly the best place to be at that age. Dixie took her sunglasses off and placed them in front of her as she looked at Ariane.
"Though I can see why you chose Hogshead instead of the Three Broomsticks. It seems to have double the filth these days. I've never exactly eaten here, so what would you reccomend? I'm sure a well brought up lady as yourself knows what to eat and what not to eat, I could use your advice." She spoke with a lazy smirk and an arched eyebrow. Dix's words were chosen out of thin air- she was just trying to make conversation and she was pretty sure she was doing horribly at it.

Both of Ariane’s eye-brows rose at Dixie’s choice of words. ‘harm a little child like herself’ – this girl really needed to learn some manners. There were polite ways to greet someone. “A little child like me is important enough to be greeted with full respect,” Ariane drawled out calmly while a charming smile adorned her face, “No one from here will dare to do anything to me.” This was true. Ariane’s father had an important enough position in the circle surrounding the Dark Lord. The Dianne family had never been under suspicion of being Death Eaters but both of Ariane’s parents most certainly were.
As if to prove her words the par-keeper appeared with her ordered food. “Miss Dianne, I hope everything will be to your satisfaction. Just call should you require something. Miss Holden,” the owner nodded and retreated a few steps as Ariane nodded coldly to him. Ariane tilted her head with her smile only deepening: “I wouldn’t enter that wretched Broomsticks place if I was paid to do so. Not to mention horrifying service, the food and stench is breath-takingly bad. I hope you did use ‘Scourgify’ on your clothes if you actually stepped into that place? That building is a disgrace.”
Ariane’s eyes met Dixie’s in a cold look. Yes, Ariane was well brought up, but did she saw that hint of sarcasm in the girls tone of voice. Ariane had much too good self-controle – and more self-respect – to make a scandal. If it would bother her – well, she could certainly handle a verbal spar. Her upbringing had been very thorough. “The salmon with peanuts is good, which is why I ordered it. Chicken with honey and pineapple is nice. Sheep with hot pepper is relatively tolerable. Meat assort has intriguing after-taste with hot pepper and bean sauce,” Ariane raised her hand and the pub-owner approached the table once again, “Dixie here would like to order.” Picking up her own fork and knife Ariane took a bite of her fish while Dixie gave her order.

"Oh, yes, since you are such an angel...I'm sure." Dixie stated under her breath. The owner came and addressed them, Dixie merely nodded and looked back at Ariane. She listened to Ariane for a bit, then looked down at her clothes at the word scourgify. She shrugged.
"There's no point in cleaning them, they're already ruined. I'll just have to replace them." Dixie replied lazily. It was true, her landing on her apparation was quite messy, making her clothes dirtier than what they should be. Of course, the dirt wasn't noticable, but she knew it was there and that was enough to burn the wretched clothes and get new ones.
Ariane raised her hand for the pub owner and Dixie ordered; "I'll have the chicken with the honey and pineapple. And a glass of water, but make sure its mineral...nothing less." When she was finished ordering, the pub owner left them alone again and Dixie sat silent for a moment or two. Wondering who would speak first. Somehow she knew it would be her, or maybe Ariane would strike up conversation this time. She waited to see.

Ariane’s eyes snapped towards Dixie upon hearing her mutter something. She hadn’t heard what exactly it had been, but Ariane was certain she had said something. However Ariane decided to let it pass. “Of course you’ll have to destroy the clothes. That was never the question,” Arians aid with a lazy sneer, “However what interests is me how can you stand those robes after being in the same room with filth and not using Scourgify on them?”
Dixie made na order for the chicken. ’Good choice’ Ariane deicded siletnly. Even when the girl didn’t have good enough taste to decide for herself – she was bright enough to listen to good advice. Dixie sat back as silence stretched. It might have been disturbingly long silence for some. But Ariane wasn’t the least bit annoyed. She was used to people waiting for her and this was no exception. Calmly finishing chewing on the fish Ariane picked up her goblet of water and took a sip and then dabbing her lips with a handkerchief. Only then did Ariane lean back a bit in her chair and opened her mouth: „Slytherin. I’ve ran into a lot of Slytherins lately who most certainly don’t seem up to par to be part of that house. Not having proper morals they associate with dirt – those crazy Gryffindor martyrs, the infantly Hufflepuffs.“
Ariane sneered at the mere idea. Didn’t people really not know better? Not only were such mudblood lovers a disgrace to the whole wizarding world. They were shaming good old pureblooded family-lines. That was something Ariane despised. „I do not have nay doubt you are not one of such people. But it’s a disgrace that such people are let into Slytherin lately,“ Ariane mused on calmly not minding the pause one bit, „I have heard of the Slytherin... Queens. Older students, 6th and 7th years, who hold the values of Slytherin high. How many Queens are there right now? They most certainly deserve to be respected disciplining worthless houses.“
