Trinity sat quietly on a bench near a fountain in the humble town of Hogsmeade. Her long red hair was pulled back into a pony tail and hung down passed her shoulders. Her face had little make-up, she was sporting a rather natural look and she was wearing jean capri's and a teal sequined top, along with white flip flops. Around her neck hung a pendant that adorned the Jade family crest and a matching ring was worn proudly on her finger. She watched curiously as the water in the fountain seemed to play and flirt, splashing in and out randomly. In the distance there was a cheerful whisper of talk and laughter, presumably around the elaborate shops. The lush trees above her shaded the bench she was sitting on nicely, and the calm breeze tamed the heat of the summer.
It was only a week into summer vacation and Trinity had already felt the need to escape her house, escape her brother. She enjoyed the time spent with her father, but on days like this where he father left to take care of business Trinity could not stand the icy cold mood that crept about the house. She and her brother, Zane, had never gotten along but this summer seemed to be the worst so far. They were both getting old, she was to be a fifth year and him a seventh, and it seemed to only get worse with time. Hogsmeade had always been Trinity's favorite place to go when she needed to be cheered up. The warm smells of bakery sweets and the friendly hum of chatter filling the town. Plus it was not unusual for her to find someone she knew. She shuffled her feet casually in the sand, completely amerced in thought.

Cole walked down the main street of Hogsmeade. He watched as old ladies and Young people passed him scurrying about apparently having something important to do. Cole really wasn't in Hogsmeade for any particular reason. The minor league quidditch team he played on didn't have practice today so he thought he would go walk around on the day off. Cole was wearing a black T shirt and a pair of jeans. He was wearing a pair of black and charcoal gray tennis shoes. Cole walked into Cat's Cubby and grabbed a copy of Quidditch Team Magazine. He gave the cashier 10 sickles and walked out into the street opening the magazine.
Looking through the pages he finally found the article about the Minor League teams. He found the page with the Falcons minor league team the Hawks and read the first paragraph. "Although the Hawks are not the best team in the league they were ranked at 5 before the end of the last season. This season might be a different story though. With their star chaser Larry Gernated hurt and their starting keeper getting pulled up into the pro's this season might be a little harder on them. I have heard from a couple of resources the the team will be playing with a new keeper who is 16? The kid isn't even done school yet. Well we will see how good he is after the first game."
Cole closed the magazine in anger. He would show them he could play. Then they wouldn't be questioning him they would be praising him. Cole calmed down and kept walking with his nose in the magazine reading about the minor league teams. Then the next thing he knew he was on top of some girl. Cole fell on the ground and stood up brushing himself off. "I'm sorry I didn't see you there." Then he noticed it was Trinity. "Oh hey Trinity. I wasn't paying attention sorry." Cole said in a shallow apology. He wasn't very good at them.

Trinity had been sitting in the peaceful shade of the trees above for a short thirty minutes when a young man suddenly fell on top of her. It was a brief jumble of chaos before she found herself lying next to him on the rough stone ground. She was scowling profusely, having just been disrupted quite rudely, when she looked over to see the familiar face of Cole Waters. The scowl quickly vanished from her face and she picked herself up to brush herself off. She stood staring at him momentarily, her arms crossed over her chest and her leg and hip pushed out with attitude. Although she knew him, it gave him no excuse to simply stumble down on top of her.
"I'm sorry, I didn't see you there," he said before noticing who it was. She smiled briefly, the solemn look slowly exiting her face, "It's no big deal," she said weakly before returning to sit on the bench she had just fallen from. She slumped down and rested her head in her hands hoping that Cole would leave their run in at that. She wasn't particularly keen on sharing her weakness with others, However much it did help to have someone to confide in.
She looked up to the boy curiously and gave yet another weak smile, "What brings you here," she asked quietly. Not many people knew of this spot in Hogsmeade, she usually came here when she wanted to be alone. Today was one of those days, she had just had a rather nasty run in with her brother and she wasn't feeling herself. Her brother always made her feel weak, insufficient and unworthy of the Slytherin title. She knew that she wasn't as harsh as he was, in fact he made her look pleasant, but she wasn't a Gryffindor.. not by any stretch. This was the only place where she could come to "find" herself after one of his attacks. It was usually empty and rather quiet except for in rare situations, like today, where she found herself in the company of another.

Cole heard her say it was no big deal. Cole wasn't sure if she was serious or being sarcastic but he didn't care. Cole didn't know her that well. She was in his house but not his year so he didn't have many classes with her. Cole picked up his magazine and brushed it off. Looking at her he said "I should have been watching where I was going." He burst into laughter for no reason. Cole sat down next to her on the bench listening to her ask him why he was there. "Umm actually I came to get this magazine." Cole said holding it up. "I needed to get out of the house and this seemed like a good excuse."
Cole brushed a spot of dirt off of his pants and looked at Trinity. She didn't seem happy but Cole wasn't one to butt into other peoples business. "Might I ask what brings you here?" Cole said smiling. He liked trying to make people laugh especially when they seemed upset. He didn't know why but he could see it in her eyes that she was thinking about something important. Cole shook his head trying to forget about it and listen to what she had to say.

Trinity sat tapping her fingers lightly on the stone bench, she shifted only a little to allow Cole to sit next to her on the bench. She didn't know him that well, she had seem him passing through the halls and occasionally said 'Hello' to him in the Common Room. What she did know of him, however, she liked... he was always a good listener and his company was pleasurable. Trinity tried her best to listen as Cole gave an explanation for his being here, a magazine was a good excuse to get out of the house. Trinity however did not find an excuse necessary, she simply left, seeing as neither of her parents were at the home and she didn't owe any explanation to her brother.
Trinity sighed slightly as Cole asked her why she was there, "Same thing really, just to get out of the house," she didn't put to much emphases on the problems at home. She didn't want to create uncomfortable tension and being a Slytherin she quickly learned that sharing things could often times be thrown back in your face when given the chance. She avoided eye contact and began humming quietly, she had left home to forget about Zane and that is just what she was going to do.
