OOC: That is, Evila and anyone else who wants to. Sorry I took so long.
IC:
Elle stood on a stool, covered in loose cloth put together with pins and needles, as a particularly talkative witch in Gladrag's Wizardwear finished up the measurements for her school robes. Normally, Elle liked to go to Madame Malkin's, but seeing as the Diagon Alley attacks made it necessary to close the store down, Elle had to travel to Hogsmeade last minute and get her school robes made. Afterall, there was only about a week and a half before the fall term started. It would be horrible to have house points taken away due to not being in dress code.
Elle made small talk with the woman working on her robes, as she reached up to brush a loose piece of her auburn hair, filled with highlights and back-from-beach curls out of her face. In doing so, she accidentally pricked herself with a pin holding the cloth together.
"Ouch!" she exclaimed in surprise.
Then, when the lady looked up to see what was wrong, Elle smiled and said, "Oh I just pricked myself. It's okay."
"Do be careful," the witch said, "Seeing that you have about fifty pins in your robes at the moment."
Then, the lady went back to fixing up her ravenclaw robes, while Elle looked around the crowded shop. I bet they're glad they don't have any competition anymore, Elle thought, seeing as Madame Malkin's is closed at the moment, they're getting quite a bit of business. Her statement was very true, as Gladrag's was packed with last-minute school shoppers and bustling employees, trying to work as quickly as possible.
Elle's arms were starting to get quite sore from having to hold them out so long, and just when she thought they were going to drop involuntarily, and she would prick herself another half a dozen times, the blonde witch working on her robes notified her that she was finished sewing the top part, and she could put her arms down.
She breathed a sigh of relief as her aching arms came back down to her sides, and as the woman busied herself in sewing the bottom of her robe. This was the seventh and last pair of robes Elle had needed for the school year, and after that, she would be free to browse the dress robes section. She always liked this part the best, although she noted that Madame Malkin's had a wider and better selection. Either way, Elle was allowed to buy two pairs of dress robes every year in case of a social event at Hogwarts.
Just then, a little bell rang, notifying the employees that yet another person had arrived, probably a Hogwarts student in need of their robes. Elle looked up, brushing the loose strand of hair out of her face yet again.
