Lark walked down the deserted streets of Hosmeade. After the attacks on Diagon Alley everyone was now afraid. Lark pulled her coat around her at the thought of those attacks she had been a victim of those attacks. She had suffered a broken arm, wrist, and ribs yet Madame Pomfrey fixed her right up. A group of people walked past her and Lark wished she hadn't come alone but she had to buy supplies so that she could finish her summer school work. Lark walked into a store and bought some black ink and some parchment. She walked back outside onto the cold streets and headed towards The Three Boomsticks.
She walked inside and ordered a butterbeer. One sip of it warmed her chilled bones right away. She watched a couple or people come and go wishing she would recognize someone she knew. Becoming bored she walked up to the counter to talk to Madame Rosmerta. She grabbed a bar stool and waved to her. She walked over and they began to talk about how buisness was and the attack and many other things. Every once in a while they would have to pause there conversation because a customer came in.
Lark was getting ready to go when she ran into some one coming in. She bumped and fell back onto her but. "Upps sorry" she said with an appolagetic smile. "Can I get you a butterbeer to appolagize" she said looking up to see a boy about her age.

Kadan had just finished getting his last minute school supplies to start the new year and he decided he would finish the day with a warm butterbeer. He walked into The Three Broomsticks and was about to order a drink from Madame Rosmerta when he accidentally knocked into a fellow Hogwarts student. She quickly apologized and offered to buy him a drink. "Oh, it's not your fault," he said warmly, smiling. He recognized the girl from his house. A fourth year girl who he remembered as Lark. "Oh, hi," he said after realizing who she was. "You are in my house, right? It won't be necessary for you to buy me a drink. It was just as much my fault as yours." He looked up to see Rosmerta watching them. "We'll have two butterbeers," he said politely. "That is if Lark here would like another," he added, offering to get her a drink instead.

Lark pushed herself up off the ground and patted her clothes off. She knew the boy by face and name but she didn't really know him. "Oh hello. Yeah I'm in your house" she said walking up to the counter "Another drink would be great" she asked accepting her drink from Madame Rosmerta and paying for her drink. "Do you want to sit here or somewhere else" she said indicating to the almost empty room. She took a sip of her drink as she waited for Kadan to tell her were he thought they should sit.

Madame Rosmerta got the two butterbeers, and then Lark asked Kadan where he wanted to sit. "It doesn't matter to me," he replied. "How about over there?" He pointed to a table for two in a corner of the room.
"So how has your summer vacation been?" he asked, attempting to make small talk. "Mine has been rather dull," he added truthfully.
((sorry so short, I'll try to make it longer as we get more into a convo))
