"Go play with your own friends Tim!" Called Flo to her annoying little brother. Its was just a normal day for Flo Murvac. she got up, put on her favorite Jeans and Top, and got ready to go to Hogmeade. But unlike any other day, Flo's little brother Tim, was following her around because he didn't have any one to hang around with. "thats just the point!" Tim called back " i dont have any friends!" Flo knew this wasn't true. Tim had a girlfriend, but she had detention. With a shrug, Flo just walked away hoping Tim wouldn't follow.

Hoping to get some butter beer before the shops closed, Flo started to hum a familiar tune. It was a song that the muggles listen to, but Flo had forgotten the name of it, but kept humming. As she walked into Three Broomsticks, she started to sing the song she was humming. Being a singer when she's not at Hogwarts, Flo had a beautiful voice, which one of the staff pointed out when they went to take Flo's order. " uh Just one butter beer thanks." As the staff member left, Flo was wondering: will any one ever make friends with her?

It was a quite day. Everyone from the orphanage was out-and-about doing their school shopping or just shopping. Thien was left behind because he like to sleep late, but now awake and left in a very quite house. Thien wanted to get out and meet some new people from his new school that he was invited to, to learn magic. So grabbing his money bag, incase if he too wanted to buy school supplies, he was out the door and heading towards Hogmeade.

On his way he realized that he hadn't eating all morning. So he decided to take a familiar detour towards Three broomsticks. Thien went in and walked up to the bar. He noticed that a girl, a little older than him, asked the waitress for just one drink.

"Hey Rosmerta, I'll have the usual. Thanks," she walked away with a nod. "Hey there I notice that you order only one drink. I'm by myself too, but I would like some company. So would you like to join me? I'll get you something to eat if you want." Hoping she too wanted to be friends and could tell Thien little about Hogwarts since he's going to be a 1st year.

"Oh by the way my name is Thien," extending his hand towards her.

Flo smiled and nodded, and shook Thien's hand. "I'm Flo" she said. It was nice that someone came to talk to her. She was sure she'd Thien in the sorting ceremony, so obviously he was a first year. She didn't mind. all of her friends hadn't gotten permission to go Hogsmeade this year, so she was by her-self, Well apart from her annoying brother.

"Flo? Now thats a unique name," sounding taking back but intrested. "How about we take that table," pointing at a cozy table by the window.

Sitting down at the table waiting for his meal. Thien just had to ask, "So, Flo how did you get such a name?"

Mandi quickly walked into the Three Broomsticks. Every time she was in Hogsmeade it was her first stop. A Butterbeer and then to Catalina's Cubby, a great new shop. Mandi approached the bar and smiled at Madam Rosmerta. "Hi Madam Rosmerta! I hope business is booming as usual. I'd just like a Butterbeer," Mandi smiled as she talked to her. She was such an energetic and friendly girl that sometimes she got carried away and talked too much. Mandi handed over her seven sickles and took the Butterbeer Madam Rosmerta handed her. "Thanks," Mandi smiled as she turned to look around the pub.

Mandi didn't recognize anyone, but saw some Hogwarts students over in a corner. She was sure that she was older than them, but she didn't mind talking to those younger than her. You could learn more from them than you could adults sometimes. Approaching the table with enthusiasm and optimism Mandi smiled. "Hi, my name is Mandi Aspden. I'm a Gryffindor 5th year. Do you mind if I sit?" she asked. Her friendly appearance and the smile on her face was sparkling in the poorly lit pub. She liked to talk to people and to make friends. She was hoping they wouldn't mind her company.

As Thien asked his question, a bright young lady, although older then either of them, asked to sit and join them. Thien was always happy to have more company.

"Sure the more the better. I'm Thien and this lovely lady is Flo," Thien gestured to Flo. "I was just asking her how did she get her name, I'm very intrested you see." Thien turned his eyes back on Flo wanting for her to respond, but keeping his usual playful smile to show that he wasn't trying to pressure her.

" oh well my full name is Floricita Sarah Murvac. Floricita is my dads friend from when he went to Hogwarts, but she died before i was born. well thats what i think happend. Sarah is my Grandmothers name i think, but i'm not sure. she died in a crash before i was born." This of course wasnt true. Flo's Grandmother was well alive, along with the rest of the family. Flo was lied to because Flo's mother was baneshed when she married Flo's father, a muggle.

A girl, not much older than Flo came up to talk to her and thien. Flo noticed she was very happy for some reason. or maybe she was just like that? Flo didnt know.

Mandi graciously thanked Thien for the invitation to join them. She sat as Flo explained her name. "That's cool," Mandi smiled. Mandi took a sip of her Butterbeer as she looked the other two over. Thien looked like he was real young, maybe just starting out at Hogwarts or in his second year, Mandi wasn't sure. Flo seemed to only be a year or two younger. She didn't know what hose they were in and so decided to ask, "What House are you two in?"

Mandi's smile never left her face. She was always friendly and there was never a time she was around people that a smile did not show on her face. She loved the world and everything in it. She wasn't scared of anything and that was what really put her in Gryffindor. She was brave and could handle any situation she was put in as long as her heart was beating. Mandi looked between the two waiting for their reply.

" oh!" Flo miled back at Mandi. " well im in Hufflepuff, but i dont know what..." she trailed of hoping Thien would pick up where she left off. Flo decided she liked the both of them and hoped they would all be friends.

"Hufflepuff! That's so cool. How do you like that House? I don't really talk to people in that House much. Of course I don't really talk with many people other than Gryffindor. Kind of happens when you already have a bunch of friends in one house," Mandi exclaimed cutting in before Thien could answer. She didn't really notice that she had done it until she looked over at Thien. "Oh, sorry for cutting it. I do that sometimes," Mandi apologized as she took a drink. "I have a big mouth and it tends to be open most of the time," Mandi laughed at her own put down.

Mandi tended to make fun of herself. She preferred to do that than make fun of anyone else. She figured if you can't laugh at yourself once in a while then you definitely needed to take a chill pill. Mandi's smile hadn't left her face. She was excited to be talking to these two students. It didn't matter if they were younger than her she didn't act too mature anyways. She was always ready to joke around and laugh about something instead of being serious. Mandi waited for Thien to reply before she said anything else.

"oh dont worry about him, he's too busy eating!" Flo laughed "so Gryffindor hey? cool.most of my frinds are etheir muggles or in Gryffindor!"Flo nudged Thien " you too busy to talk are you?"

Thien took another bite and a sip of his drink. "I'm...uhh...sorry. Hungry... you see... having eaten yet." Thien muffled out with food in his mouth. He sallowed his food and said, "if you two want I'll get you something to eat. But please continue, oh I don't know what house I'm in. This is going to be my first year. Although people I know say that I'm most likely to be in Hufflepuff too."

Thien then went back to eating again, but listen carefully if either let sip anything that'll help help him in Hogwarts.

Mandi was mildly shocked that Thien was going to be attending is first year in Hogwarts this coming term. "Well that's exciting! You'll probably get into Hufflepuff if that's were you want to be," Mandi shrugged as she passed on the food offer. She didn't want to tell him everything especially about the sorting hat. It's funnier to watch the 1st years cringe when they get called to the sorting hat. If she were to tell him what happened she would loose the scared expression he was sure to have on his face.

"I really like Gryffindor. Things are just so exciting in our house. It was real enjoyable when Fred and George were still around. I used to test some of their products for them. It was always a hoot," Mandi smiled as she recalled the memories of her third year at Hogwarts. Dark times they were, but the Weasley's had always managed to brighten the days.

"So are you excited for the next year. I've been studying like mad. I can't get O.W.L.s out of my mind. I'm so afraid that I'm going to get a T on every single test. Oh, it's frightening," Mandi cringed as her thoughts returned to her next year. It was so long until O.W.L.s but she couldn't get them off of her mind. She figured she'd be studying all year and she wasn't one for being like Hermione, but she found that this year she just might have to be.

When Thien told Mandi that he was going to be a first year, he notice that she was very excited and had on one of those 'knowingly' smirk as if she was hiding something. Thien dropped the subject when she mention the Weasley's twins. "You know Fred and George?!?" Thien ask surprised, he had been to their shop before and love some of the stuff there. He always loved jokes, but the twins' store was a kid's heaven.

Thien sat there, his food left in mid-air, watching excitingly at Mandi as she talks if she and the twins were old pals.

Then Mandi went on talking about Hogwarts. 'Here's my chance to learn more about school,' Thien told himself. "Oh I'm very excited for school to start, but is it really that hard?" He said sounding a bit worried.

Flo was listning to Thien and Mandi, talk about hogwarts. Thien said it was his first year and that he hoped to be in Hufflepuff. She hoped that he would. be nice to see new faces , thought Flo, remembering the first time she was sorted. wow, she thought, wait till you get sorted Thien!

She took a sip of her butterbeer when Thien offerder to buy some food for herself and Mandi. "um well sure, but i'll pay half and dont even think about rejecting that." she said to Thien, with a warning look. " Hogwarts really get confusing first year, well i think. And thats just the castle. Its way different than muggle schools." Flo Australian accent was getting weaker, due to hanging with Londoners, as Flo called them.

Mandi smiled at Thien when he asked her about the Weasley twins. "I wouldn't say that we're good friends or anything, but I bet they'd remember me. Tried out a couple of their more dangerous joke shop items. Had to do it away from Hermione though. She was sure angry that they were letting people test their products. Good fun," Mandi laughed as she remembered the days of her third year.

"The one thing you have to remember about Hogwarts is that it's a school for witches and wizards. There's a lot of magic in that old school. Things will tend to move. There have only been a few who have found the castle's secrets. And I think even less than them have found all of it's secrets," Mandi nodded as she talked. It was true, she had never seen anyone but Filch and the Weasley twins' ever figure out the entire castle, but Mandi was taking it on as her own personal goal to figure out most of the castle before she graduated. Hence, why she would always stroll the corridors at night trying to avoid Filch.

Flo looked a Mandi confused. "you used to test the jokes for them? wow. did you ever get hurt? Flo had seen the Weasley twins trying out jokes and annoying Flitch, but she thought they properly didnt even want to talk to her. but Flo would shrug it off.

Mandi smiled at Flo's reaction. "It wasn't that big of a deal. They used to test it on the first years all the time. I just offered my services when they wanted to test them on older people. There was one time when my nose wouldn't stop bleeding for a long time. The twins were a bit scared, but figured out that they had given me two nose bleeds instead of one that would stop it. That was the worst thing that happened. It's nothing too big. I doubt they even remember me after that. I didn't run in the same crowd they did. I just kind of talked with everyone," Mandi said thoughtfully of her third year. It was a while ago, or so it seemed, and the memory of it wasn't that fresh. She didn't even think the twins would recognize her now. She shrugged, she didn't really care if they did or not.

"So how have your summers been?" Mandi asked as she looked between Flo and Thien. Thien seemed to be really into his sandwich and she wondered if he would even respond. She smiled at the image and took a sip of her Butterbeer as she waited for their replies.

"Sure." Thien said to Flo. "I just hope I don't look like a pig here stuffing myself."

Thien was really amazed as Mandi talked about testing the twins' products. "You should go to them and demand a discount or something for your services." Thien said jokingly.

Thien was very intersted now learning about his new school. "So you two are saying that the school is never the same? So it's like an adventure everyday." Thien sounded very excited, and couldn't wait to start in the fall. Where he can learn magic and meet intresting people like the ones around him now.

"My summer has been boring. But when I got my letter, the whole orphanage was buzzing excitingly. Oh yea I live in an orphanage, not too far from here. I have five 'brothers' and six 'sisters.' So it's usually buzzing everyday, but it was a bit louder buzz when i got my letter." Thien explained.

"They're my family, the only one i know..." Thien said trailing off. There was an uneasy slience at the table now and Thien couldn't stand that so he broke the slience by asking Flo, "So Flo how was your summer?" Hoping she would reply and forget what Thien had said.

"Well I flew back to Australia for a bit, that was fun, just to see some friends. then i just came back and hung with friends." Flo laughed thinking of how much fun she had back home. Flo still called Australia home because she never thought of London as home.
Just a long holiday. "what have you been doing Mandi?" Flo asked, hoping to get more infomation about he new friends.
