Maddie was having a wonderful day in Hogsmeade! It was a beautiful day outside, and she was having a pretty fun time, going from shop to shop and just enjoying her own company. Arriving at a small bookstore, Maddie walked inside the small shop and looked around at the crowd. Well, some looked like herself, and others, looked way too cheerful and happy, and were skipping around the shop.
Maddie gave those people a weird look, raised her eyebrows, and mouthed, "Whatever". She looked around the shop for a couple of minutes, and found a couple of the things that she was looking for. She had agreed to pick up something for her sister, because she wasn't allowed at Hogsmeade yet, and, because Maddie also wanted a few things for herself.
Once she had picked out her selections, she walked up to the the front desk and put the books on the counter. "Here." she said simply as she handed the woman the money. She took her bag and walked out of the shop, happy to be back outside.
She walked around Hogsmeade, looking at the beautiful scenery behind the shops. She hated to admit it, but she actually did like beautiful days like this. I suppose it's only human though. Anyway, Maddie walked around the streets of Hogsmeade looking around, and also looking for someone to skrike up a good conversation with.

Karlie strolled around the joke shop glancing around but not really intending to buy anything. The truth was she was bored out of her mind and hoping to see someone she knew. She glanced around some more and then decided to ditch this shop. She walk out into the beautiful day and breathed in deeply. The sun was shining and a slight breeze was causing her honey brown air to flow behind her. 'What a beautiful day...' she thought looking absentmindedly at the sky as she walked. This however was a mistake... she walked right into a girl who looked mildly familiar and knocked her bags out of her hands. Noticing the girl was a slytherin Karlie decided to help. "Sorry about that" she said as she stooped to pick up the bags. She grabbed them and stood up, brushing her out of her hair. "Here you go," she said as she handed her the bags. "My name's Karlie."

Maddie was walking the streets, when she felt someone bump into her, and knocked her over, along with her bags. Maddie gave her an angry look, as she stood up and brushed off her pants with her hands, and was about to say something nasty to the person, when she noticed that the girl looked like a familiar Slytherin. Maddie sighed as she excepted her bags from the girl, along with her apology. "That's OK." she muttered.
The girl then introduced herself as Karlie. Maddie gave her a semi-smile and said, "I'm Madison, Madison Kenacheak. But I prefer Maddie." Maddie hesitated a few minutes, before saying the next thing. Well, this girl was obviously bored as well, and she looked like she didn't have anything better to do either.
"Well, I suppose..." Maddie started. "You can walk around with me for a while, if you want to."

Karlie sighed and felt relief flow through her body intensely. Not only was the girl not angry with her, she wanted to hang-out with her. "Sure that would great!" Karlie replied, relieved to have something to do, "I've been bored out of my mind lately." Karlie walked down the crowded streets of Hogsmeade, Maddie alongside, her hair flowing behind her as she glanced at the window displays in the various shops. She smiled as she saw the newest enhancements on a firebolt they passed by. The foot rests and the sleek new style, it was a work of a genious- to say the least. She was extremely excited that she could use hers at any time, thanks to her father, and was hoping to make the quidditch team next year when she tried out. She knew that she would most likely end up on the reserve team, but it was worth a shot not matter.
They had only been walking for a few minutes when Karlie's stomach began to growl, that was when she noticed how hungry she had let herself get. She checked her watch and realized it was about lunchtime, "Hey I'm getting kinda hungry," she said, placing a hand on her stomach as it growled for a second time, "Do you want to find somewhere to eat?" She hoped she wasn't being to pushy, but she was hungry and didn'y want to ditch Maddie just yet. She seemed to be an interesting girl and Karlie could use a few more friends at Hogwarts. Lately she had been feeling out of place, almost as if she didn't belong. She stopped in front of a fancy looking restaurant, glass french doors and round windows decorating the front. The lights inside sparkled and there was a hint of conversation flowing from inside. She smiled pointing to it casually, "this looks good, you think?" She stood with her hand on her hip waiting for Maddie to make a decision.

Maddie walked alongside Karlie for a little while, and watched her look at the shop windows. This girl seemed a bit too happy for Maddie, but she didn't think about it too much. I guess it was just that all of Maddie friends were very Slytherin-ish. Oh well, she just hoped that this girl wouldn't be one of those mudblood loving Slytherins.
Karlie soon said that she was a bit hungry. Maddie looked down, to hear her own stomach growling. "Well, alright." she replied. She supposed that she could spare some food, however, she really didn't hope that the girl was expecting Maddie to pay for her. She probably wasn't, but she still didn't want the girl to ask her that.
Karlie stopped in front of a very elegant looking restaurant. 'Now this, is more my style.' she thought to herself. She nodded her head in agreement, and walked inside of the big place. Once she walked into the restraint, she searched for am empty booth, and soon found one, right next to the window. She walked over to the table, and sat down, putting her purse on the bench beside her.

Karlie followed Maddie through the french glass doors and to their table, glad that she had not objected to Karlie's request of lunch. She slid gracefully into the booth and set her petite black purse down beside her. She picked up the menu and looked it over, trying to decide what to eat. There were many tempting things on the menu, but Karlie decided on a ceasar salad. She had never been to this resturant and salads tended to be good wherever you went.
With her decision made she set her menu on the table, slightly to the side, just as the waiter approached the table. "May I offer you ladies something to drink?" he asked with a smile and an overly cheerful voice, waiting for their reply with a look a patience on his face. "Yes, I'll have an iced tea please, with extra lemon" she said, without looking at the man. Instead she looked at Maddie to see what she would order.
(( This is going to be me last post for a couple of days. I'm going out of town for the weekend. I'll be back on Monday though. ))

((That's alright. Thanks for letting me know that. ) Maddie watched Karlie pick up her menu and looked like she was deciding what to get. Maddie would do that later, since she didn't feel the need to at the moment. The waiter soon came over and asked what they would like to drink. Maddie didn't look at the waiter either, instead, she looked down at her nails. "Ice water." she said simply, not taking her eyes off her hand. "With lemon also." The man soon walked away, and Maddie looked back up at Karlie. "That man was way too cheerful." she said. "He's so not getting a tip." She wondered if Karlie would object to what Maddie had said, or if she would go along and laugh or something else. Maddie then decided that she should think of what she wanted to order as well. She picked up the menu and looked through it a bit. In the end, she chose a gourmet dinner of fried shrimp, a baked potato, and a small side of vegetables. ' Well,' she though to herself. ' It certainly isn't as good as the house-elves back home would prepare, but it'll do.' She set down her menu and looked at Karlie. "So, what did you decide to order?" she asked. "I'm getting fried shrimp. You know, that waiter best be fast, or I'll have my father complain."
