With a 'click', the shutter went down over the lense and just as quickly as it came it was hiding again. The film wound itself and readied for another picture to be taken. D.J. looked up from the back lense and smiled at the little girl who was eating an ice cream. She handed the girl 3 galleons and thanked her.
D.J. then looked around the Hogsmeade streets which were very busy with students doing very late shopping for the holidays. She listened to the chater of close friends and hushed tones of whispering secrets. A small group of 4th years were huddled close together. D.J. was about to take a photo of them when one of the girls threw her head back in laughter. D.J. snapped that picture instead. Once again the film wound and she began to walk.
Brushing her blonde hair out of her eyes she continued walking to the Three Broomsticks. She opened the door and found an empty table. With a sigh, D.J. sat down. She wasn't supposed to meet anyone or anything like that, that wasn't new, so she just sat on her own and strummed her fingernails on the table...waiting for anyone to talk to.

Kat laughed as her over-excited brother pulled her into Three Broomsticks and grabbed onto his brothers arm, so not to loose balance in her skirt and heeled boots. “Bah,” Jake said to some child as they entered the pub and flashed his red contact-lenses towards him. “Jake! Be nice!” Kat growled a warning to her big brother and slapped him lightly at the back of his head.
Jake turned his head and smirked at her. The half-brother and sister both had long pitch-black hair and grayish eyes as well as a toned skin, but they weren’t really much alike. Kat was out-going and social she loved meeting new people. Jake however liked the image of a dangerous guy and his leather jackets and red or cat’s eye contact-lenses he occasionally wore, had that exact effect. Jake did wear them only for effect, as he didn’t really need glasses and the lenses did nothing for eye-sight in reality. And Jake was taller - even wiht heels Kat only reached his shoulder.
Kat glared at his brother who made puppy-eyes towards her and pouted: ”But it’s so much fun!”
Kat rolled her eyes and knowing he had been forgiven once again, Jake grabbed Kat’s waist and twirled her around. Kat yelped out of surprise but laughing out a moment later. Until her boot hit a table and the heel of it broke off as the girl at the table, to which Kat had hit her boot to, seemed a little startled.
“Oh, sorry for disturbing you,” Kat said slapping Jake in the back of his head once again. Jake put her down quickly and moved to pick up the broken heel, ”Do you mind if I sit down for a moment, so I can repair my boot?”
Without really waiting for an answer Kat accepted the heel from her brother and quickly muttered ‘Reparo’ pointing to the heel and her boot, watching as it magically fitted together again.
“Sorry,” Jake flashed his eyes in a quick smirk towards the blond girl and bowed to kiss Kat’s forehead quickly, “Take care of yourself. I’ll have to go now.”
“See you,” Kat smiled at her brother watching as he run out of the pub and hopped onto his motorbike and waving once more to Kat near the window sped off.
“Sorry once again, my brother sometimes get over-excited. No permanent damage done, right? Care for a butterbeer for the disturbance? Jake will be more than happy to pay for it,” Kat said turning back at the girl and smiling brightly waving towards the direction her brother had sped off with her last statement.

D.J. was about to pack up and leave the Broomsticks when suddenly a shoe came flying at her. She sat up and looked at the source of where it took flight. It came from a girl and what seemed to be her brother. As the two apologized D.J. sneakily looked at her camera, just to make sure nothing was broken. Satisfied that the lense and everything else was intact she turned her attention back to them.
"It's 'kay, I understand. And no, no permanet damage which is quite lucky, I don't know what I'd do without my lense. I'm D.J. Michaels. And I would very much like a butterbeer, though I wouldn't want to impose." She said after the girl had spoken. D.J. smiled and put her camera bag on the floor beside her chair, making room for the other girl to sit down.

AS D.J. as she had introduced herself, put her bag down, Kat slipped into a seat at the table as well. Whistling sharply Kat caught the attention fo the bar-keeper nad raised to fingers as sign for two butterbeers to be bought.
“Kat Lurjée,” Kat then introduced herself quickly with a flashing smile shrugging off her short cape revealing a jean-skirt and a light-gray button up blouse with silvery decorations on it, ”Your lense? You like photographing? Cool.”
Kat looked up as the butterbeers she had ordered arrive surprisingly quickly and accepting her bottle, Kat leaned back in her chair, completely relaxed. “Considering how nice the weather is today – have you got any good shots?” Kat asked pushing her hand through her hair to pull them away from her face.

D.J. tossed her head back and thought this over, any good shots? Well, yes. But, none worth talking about. Except for that ice cream one, the one she thought about calling "Snow Cream" considering the girl was eating ice cream when it was snowy out. It was snowey yes, but it was extremely warm for this time of winter.
"Eh seh. Some good some not. It's an on and off day, today. So what are you up to? Being in Hogsmeade, with flying shoes?" D.J. smiled with delight and strummed her fingers on the table as the butterbeer's arrived. She took a small sip, then guzzled half of it down. Photography was hard work.

“Eh, bien, touché,” Kat smirked and raised her butterbeer bottle in a greeting towards D.J. at her comment about flying shoes, then taking a sip and placing the bottle back on the table.
“Me – I’m just a Hogsmeade. Enjoying a butterbeer and the company,” Kat mused switching back to English while leaning back in her chair and eyeing the ceiling, “Before showed my brother around here and he wanted to see Zonko’s. I just hope he won’t blow the house up again with the stuff he bought there.”
Kat grinned and looked back at D.J. :”I don’t really have any plans here. Maybe brows some shops later, although I prefer muggle clothes to tell the truth. And you – just enjoying the weather, taking pictures or do you have some more plans?”
D.J. laughed at Kat mentioning her brother blowing up the house. Now, she would pay good money to see that. Yes, Zonko's did have some interesting merchandise, D.J. herself was known to browse the shops a couple of times.
"Nah, I have nothing else planned. Really. It's a free day. Want to keep me company? I could use it you know? It's boring when you're off all alone, with no one here beside you." D.J. answered with a laugh and a tilt of her head. She waited patiently for Kat to answer and strumemd her fingernails on the table as she did wait.
