Shopping and talking ((Kim))

Jasmine sat on her bed in the Ravenclaw girl’s dormitory reading a book. It was always like Jasmine to read every second of the day, it was in her Ravenclaw nature. She laid flat on her stomach with her legs crossed behind her and turning the pages of her potions book. Her little kitten lay next to her purring loudly. Jasmine laughed softly and her hair fell into her book. She brushed it away and continued to read. Even know it was the day to go to Hogsmeade Jasmine always was a little late because she ended up in the common room reading like she was now. Jasmine sighed and closed the book lightly and put it in her shoulder bag that lay right next to her bed. She than got up and grabbed her long black coat, scarf, hat, and gloves and put them on herself and skipped out of the common room and down the moving stair cases.

Her shoulder bag moved with her as she skipped down the stairs and outside where the snow was every where. Jasmine loved winter time and how the snow could make things so beautiful. She walked down the path and looked at the trees that had no leafs and the snow fall lightly to the ground. The wind blow at her and her scarf than flew off her neck. Jasmine than groaned and ran after it. Her feet trying to move through the snow. She than watched it move into Hogsmeade and she tired to walk faster in the snow.

As she entered the village she finally grabbed hold of her scarf and she wrapped it around her neck. "Ha got yeah" Jasmine said with a smile and she continued to walk down the streets. She looked all around her at the shops wondering which on to go into. There was always Honeyduckes sweet shop where they sold tons of candy and then there was Zonkos joke shop. Slightly confused in which shop to go in she accidentally bumped into a girl. Stepping back slightly Jasmine looked at the girl who she had almost sent to the ground. "I am so sorry I always keep on knocking people down." Jasmine explained to the girl and helped her up. She smiled warily at the girl, "My names Jasmine what’s yours?" Jasmine said hoping to make a new friend.

Kim sat in the booth of the Three Broomsticks with her parents as she finished off her lunch. Staring outside she could see loads of other students outside running around yet she was stuck here. "Mum why can't I go outside with them?" She inquired as she pointed to a group of older girls. "Kim we've discussed this many times, we simply can't trust you out there yet, remember the last time we came here?" Her mother responded. "But mum that wasn't my fault! They didn't say I couldn't climb in the barrel!" Lisa Sullivan sighed deeply, "Kim! Honestly now! Do you think they really ought to put signs up in Honeydukes asking people to please NOT climb in the barrels of jelly beans!? Common sense Kim!"

Common sense... Kim hated those two words. Her parents used them all the time whenever she did something she wasn't supposed to do. She hadn't planned on going in the jelly bean tub anyway, she just wanted some red cherry ones and she didn't see any on top so she just figured they had to be at the bottom. "OK mum, what if I promise I won't climb in the tubs this time, can I go to Honeydukes?" It was at this time that her father joined the conversation, again not something Kim wanted to hear. "Right Kim, and what about bothering shoppers? Remember last time we took you to the book store?" Kim heaved a sigh and remembered the trip too the mall. "I didn't mean too dad! Honestly! I only wanted to know why she was getting three cook books!" Lisa Sullivan again sighed and set down her fork, "Kim! That woman complained to me and said you wouldn't leave her alone for 10 minutes! Kim not everyone wants you to talk to them!"

Kim looked down at her empty plate and sulked, "can I go? Pleaaaaaaaaaaaaase.... I promise I won't do anything bad today... muuuuuum... it's Christmas, pleaasssse can I go?" After a few moments of silence her father answered. "Alright Kim, you can go, but you have to be back in forty five.... .no.. thirty minutes! You check your watch... thirty minutes and you must be back here! Don't talk to people you don't know, and leave things alone in the store unless you are sure you want to buy it."

"YAY!!!!!!!" Kim exclaimed as she got up from the booth and wrapped her scarf around her neck. Making a bee line for the door she shoved it open and ran outside into the cold winter's day. With 29 minutes left Kim had to think fast of where she wanted to go! Zonkos? No that wasn't very much her style. The book store... no way... not today... Honeydukes? Perhaps... but only if the grumpy clerk wasn't working today... the Quidditch shop? "Yeah! Quidditch!" Kim exclaimed as she turned and began to run down the snowy road to her destination.

As she neared the shop she ran into a pack of holiday shoppers going in the other direction. Squirming her way through them Kim arrived at her destination with 26 minutes to spare! As she eyed the broomsticks in the window she was suddenly knocked forward! "Owww!!!" Kim squeaked as she stumbled and nearly fell to the ground. Standing up and turning around she found herself staring straight into a girl's robe. Tilting her head way up high she looked up at the tall girl. "Hey I know you! You go to Hogwarts! You are that Ravenclaw on the Quidditch team! You didn't play last game though but I saw you on the bench! I remember you! What's your name though I think you told me once but I forgot. I forget lots of people's names though unless they tell me it a few times. Even those in Hufflepuff sometimes I forget their names, like the new first years I don't know what that one girl's name is, you know that one big girl with the black hair and she likes to wear a pony tail I don't know her name do you? She is always saying her name to me too and I keep forgetting, I think it's like a country or something though do you know her?"

Jasmine was relieved that the girl was okay but then she was staring at her wide eyed as she talked. She than turned her head to the right slightly and laugh softly. This was going to be interesting for her since she was so quiet and keep to her self allot. "Hello umm yeah I was sitting on the bench but you guys put up a right good fight." Jasmine said smiling at Kim and remembering the game. She didn’t get to play but it was fun to watch and she thought that everyone played a great game. Her eyes than widen in shocked as she remember that the girl was the Keeper. "Oh my goodness now I remember you. Your Hufflepuff keeper and you did a great job. My names Jasmine I am Ravenclaw reserve team keeper." Jasmine said looking at the store next to her.

It was the Quidditch store and she looked at the Firebolt that lay in the window. Jasmine hazel eyes sparkled as she looked at it. It was so beautiful! All she had was a Nimbous 2000 because she wasn’t in a family that was that rich. Jasmine sighed and looked at Kim with a smile. "Hmm I don’t know the girl you are talking about....... would you like join me I don’t won’t to be alone." Jasmine said hoping that the girl will say yes. Jasmine than turned her head back at the window as she looked at the firebolt and started to dream. Since the quidditch match was coming up, Slytheirn and Ravenclaw. Jasmine sighed yet again and turned her head at the girl. "I am so excited Slytherin and Ravenclaw game is coming up very soon. Owe you guys are playing Gryffindor they got some pretty good beaters but you know Harry is the best seeker but I am sure Valire could catch before him." Jasmine said and put her hand up to her head as she was rambling on about Quidditch again. She seemed to be doing that allot lately she was just so excited for the game to come up.

Kim looked up at the tall girl and she talked about not knowing the big girl she was talking about. Looking at her watch she had about 22 minutes left. "OK I can go with you to the store but I have to be back in 22 minutes, my mum and dad are waiting for me in the Three Broomsticks, they said I have to go back to them in 22 minutes otherwise I think I'll get grounded or something. I don't really get grounded like they don't let me go outside but they don't let me watch TV or play on the computer when I'm grounded so I have to be back in 22 minutes OK?"

Kim followed the big girl into the store and looked around, there was simply so much there for her to see and look at and touch! "I'm a keeper too!" Kim happily said when the other girl complemented her on her last game. The store was quite warm but Kim kept her scarft on anyway as she walked over to a rack of Quaffles. Looking at the different colors she wondered why they had to play with a red one at Hogwarts all the time when these yellow ones were so bright! Picking up one of the yellow Quaffles Kim tossed it up into the air and caught it then tossed it once more and jumped and caught it with both hands! Tucking the Quaffle under her arm she pretended she was a chaser and whooshed through the other shoppers until she found the other girl who was looking at the Firebolts. "Hey catch!" Kim said as she tossed the bright yellow Quaffle to the other girl. "I like that one! It's really light, well they are all light that's why they put those charms on them, so that they are light and not too heavy because if they were heavy it would be harder to play with them, but I like the yellow one! How come we have to always play with that red one though I don't like it I think it's too old like it needs new paint or something, do you think we could get Madam Hooch to paint it or maybe we can ask Professor Dumbledore to buy us a new Quaffle, that'd be really cool!"

Kim then scratched her head and looked at the Firebolts, they were very expensive and Kim knew she'd never be able to afford one so she didn't even bother looking at them before, but now that she could see one up close she really liked them! They were shiny, and smooth! "Hey do you have a Firebolt? I bet they are super fast that is what all the magazines say at least and I guess they are right because lots of professional teams use them, of course some teams use Nimbus 2001 or Cleansweep 11's, but I don't care I like my broom though, it's a Cleansweep, i forget what number though, maybe 5 ? or 200? I don't know, I asked my mum and she told me what she bought me but I keep forgetting, its ok though I'm a Keeper so I don't really need a fast broom like others do you know? So are you going to buy one though?" As Kim looked at the older girl admiring the brooms she suddenly remembered that she didn't know her name, or maybe she forgot her name. Reaching up the bigger girl's robe sleeve, Kim tugged on it... "hey what's your name?"

Jasmine looked at the girl and smiled warmly at her. "That’s alright with me lets hurry I also wont to head into Honeyduckes for some candy." Jasmine said following Kim into the Quidditch store. As she open the door the bell rang as a welcoming thing or something and Jasmine smiled. It was also warm in the store but she also kept on her winter materials. She walked over towards the brooms and touched each one of them. Their was a dreamy look on her face and a smile that seemed to be too big.

As she admired a broom that was royal blue and stood out to her. She touched it lightly and her eyes twinkled, it was absolutely prefect for Quidditch. Jasmine than was snapped out of her thoughts as Kim sent a yellow rubber quaffle in her direction. Jasmine held out her hands and caught it with a smile and listen to Kim talk about how they should use the colored quaffles instead of the big red one. "I agree also but I don’t make up the rules and I like the blue one but this yellow on pretty as well. Maybe we could get a colored quaffle maybe not but you know Madame Hooch always sticking to the rules but I don’t know if there is a rule for using a red quaffle." Jasmine said looking at the royal blue Firebolt and taking another deep breathe before speacking again. "I own a Nimbous 200 these brooms coast way to much and I dont think Lena has that kind of money. Lena my adopted mother and shes a horseback rider and I also ride myself. But dont wont to talk about horses right now I could go on for ever if I do." Jasmine said not taking her eyes off the Firebolt.

She than noticed Kim tugged at her robes and she turned back at the younger girl who asked her name again. "Jasmine Anderson." Jasmine said looking at the younger girl and smiling warmly. She wished that she could have the energy like the fourteen year old did. It seemed fun to be going around and talk allots but Jasmine talked allot also. Well not as much as Kim but she admired the girl for her energy. "Hmm you do have a bad memory but that’s okay........ Wont to head to Honeyduckes now or stay here?" Jasmine asked the girl sending the yellow quaffle her way.

Kim took the Quaffle back and looked around the store, there was a lot of stuff she'd like to buy but then again she didn't really have any money to buy stuff here. Honkeydukes on the other hand was more to her spending style for the day. "OK I want to go to Honkeydukes I like to get the jelly beans! They are really good but if you want red ones you have to ask you can go in the tub and look yourself they get mad at you if you go and do that." Kim then ran back to the Quaffle rack and stuffed the yellow ball back into it's place before running back through the crowds to where Jasmine was waiting. "OK lets go I'm ready to go are you ready? Come on and hurry up though I only have.." as she looked at her watch she squeaked again as her time was running short.. "Oooh I only have 18 minutes left! Come on we have to go fast and hurry or I won't be able to go!"

As Kim brushed past several people entering the store she soon found herself back on the snow covered road in the cool wind. Looking down both ends of the street she didn't quite remember which was the correct way to get to Honeydukes, you could get there going either way but one was short and one was long. "Hey.." Kim said as she tried to get the attention of a passing witch, "hey do you know where Honkeydukes is? I want to go there but I have to hurry up and get there fast so can you tell me which way to go? I know you can get there both ways but one is quicker right you know the way huh?" The witch simply stood and looked at Kim before finally responding, "Honkeydukes is that way, but I really don't think you need any candy dear." Kim only heard the first few words and then turned her head the direction the witch was pointing. "Yay! OK Jasmine come on it's this way we have to go quickly though I'm running out of time!"

As Kim took off running as fast as her little legs could take her she kicked up snow with each step until she finally arrived at Honeydukes. Panting as she walked in, Kim took a deep breath and smelled the aroma of the sweets and freshly baked chocolates. "Yah this is fun! I like this store, my mum doesn't let me come in here too often though she says I don't need any more candy that what I have but I don't understand because I don't have hardly any candy at all at home and I usually eat all my candy at school so I have to keep coming back here but then my parents won't let me come here all the time, even though I'm a 4th year they say that I'm not responsible enough to come here alone yet but they let me come in here when I'm with them sometimes, ooh I like those chocolates!" Kim walked over and picked up a little yellow box that contained chocolate quills. Flipping the box over she found the price and held onto the box, she could get it! Kim then began her walk over to the tub of jelly beans. Standing on her tippy toes she peered into the bin and saw lots of colors and even red ones! Grabbing a bag she scooped two spoonfuls of jelly beans into her bag before looking around to find Jasmine. "Hey Jasmine" she said as she stood next to the older girl, "look I got some candy! I like these , they are my favorites! What are you going to get?" She asked a she looked in her bag of jelly beans and started to count the red ones.

Jasmine watched Kim return the quaffle and she turned to the Firebolt at her side and looked at it for the last time. Man why did brooms have to coast so much? Not everyone is rich around here. Jasmine sighed and saw Kim again and the two girls head out back into the busy streets. They dodged people who got into their way and Jasmine wasn’t really thinking about where she was going. She was starring at Kim and following behind her.

As they came into an empty streets she than looked around for Honeyduckes. Where could the store be? Was she losing her mind? Jasmine asked way too much questions to herself and she turned to Kim biting her lower lip. She also didn’t seem to know where to go and she asked a nice little witch that was walking down the streets. It kind of crept her out as she looked at the women with a brown cloak on and the hood on her head. Jasmine laughed softly as she pointed out where the store was. Jasmine than nodded her head at Kim as she said she only had 18 minutes left. With a nod of her head she picked up her legs and followed the girl down the path where the witch had just pointed out.

As she tired to run through the snow with her feet stomping and crouching within the powdered snow she laughed softly. As they reached Honeyduckes Jasmine smiled and walked in glad to be around candy. She than went to the other side of the store towards the chocolate frogs and picked up two. She than turned to the sugar quills and picked up one and then to the pumpkin pasties. Owe how she loved candy and she had a hug sweet tooth. Jasmine flipped her hair back as she piled Jelly beans into her bag. As it was filled half way Jasmine peeked inside and smiled at all the colors. Her eyes sparkled and lit up as she noticed Kim walk up to her and ask what else she had gotten. "Well I got chocolate frogs and pumpkin pastries and sugar quills. What else did you get?" Jasmine asked letting the girl look at all her Jelly Beans. She laughed softly and turned around wondering what else to get.

Kim looked around the store like a child in a candy store, matter of fact she WAS a child in a candy store! What more, she was without parental supervision! As her little hands had a box of chocolate quills and a bag of jelly beans she sifted the two around as she reached into her pocket she fished out her coins. As Kim studied them she found an odd mix, one galleon, some knuts and sickles, and then some muggle coins, and a few play coins from her board game she was playing last night with her friend Madeline. Once she had singled out all the wizard money she tilted her head and made a face as her mind tried to count it up and compare it to what she had in her hands. If her math was right she could afford something else, but what?

While she looked around the store her attention was drawn to a pair of little girl, perhaps four or five years old. They were playing with the candy train the shop window! Kim always loved that train but she wasn't allowed to play with it, her parents said she knocked it off the track when she was little. Kim didn't really believe that though since it looked secure on the tracks every time she had come in. Today though her parents weren't here to keep her from playing with it! Walking over to the window Kim knelt down and watched the train. "Hey can I play too?" she asked the two little kids who nodded their heads. Quickly Kim took another train car and hooked it to the train and watched it go around the track. No sooner had she joined the girls when their grandmother it looked like came and fetched them, leaving Kim alone at the train. Though it was fun, she didn't want to play with it alone and she didn't know where Jasmine had gone off to. Watching the train circle one more time Kim then stood up and walked over to the clerk to pay for her candies.

As she approached the counter she found Jasmine there too. "Hi, ooh you got jelly beans too! I love jelly beans! I don't like every flavor beans though, but they are really jelly beans too did you know that? They really are but they make them really awful flavors! I don't even bother getting them now when you can buy a real jelly bean that tastes good! See! I like these red ones the best! But the greens and blues and pinks are bad either, the whites are good too, and the yellows and oranges. The blacks are OK, but I don't like them that much, they are my least favorite jelly bean. You'd think they'd be really good though like maybe black was for chocolate but I think it's for licorice flavor or something like that I don't know I don't like licorice do you? It's too chewy I don't like things that you have to chew that much to eat and such. Jelly beans are good though because you have to chew them but then you don't have to chew them a lot you know? So yea, um, I got jelly beans! Oh and I got chocolate quills you ever try them they are like real chocolate but they look like real quills too! I tried to trick my mum to write with one but she didn't she knew it was chocolate right away I don't know why though I thought I could fool her , so what did you get?"

Kim then turned and put her bag and box on the counter and then set down all her coins on the counter and looked at the clerk. The clerk, a middle aged woman looked at Kim quite puzzled. "Honey, you gave me too much money here" she said. Kim tilted her head and looked at her coins, "I did?" The clerk then slide 8 coins back to Kim and put her candies in a bag. "Oooh right sickles are worth more than knuts right.. I think.... oo I always get those two mixed up though, I'm really good with Pounds thought I know them, Euros I'm OK with, they are the same like Pounds too with the numbers on them that tell you how much.... coins I don't like coins though you have to remember how much each coin is worth and I can never remember that." Kim then took her bag and stepped back so Jasmine could pay while she looked at her watch. She had but 9 minutes left. "Umm what do you want to do in nine minutes? I can't go into Zonko's anymore, the clerks don't like me."

(Sorry for the delay I was studying for tests and finshing my make up work. Guess what? I have to study more becuase I have end of the quarter exams and second semister. Err)

The store seemed to be very warm to Jasmine and it was just a wonderful day. Well since it was Christmas everyone should be happy and joyful. Jasmine looked around the store and noticed some acid balls. She never tired them because she never tasted anything sour. One of her students gave her an air head and she thought it was just a mint. Well her eyes were wrong and she tasted the sour tanginess in her mouth that made her eyes water. She didn’t like to think of it, it tears into her eyes and the sour taste into her mouth. Jasmine than walked over to the other side of the store to the gold wrapped chocolate. Honeyduckes celled the best chocolate and it was a lot better than the one in the muggle world. The gold candy bar lay in her hands and her eyes twinkled. It would be a lovely taste if they tired it as a smore. Owe how Jasmine loved smores. It was always fun to sit around at the camp fire and toast the marshmallow and then add the chocolate and then you’re done. The sweet sugar sent came to her mind and she started to fell a little hungry. She looked down at her stomach and held it tightly as she growled a little. Jasmine hadn’t eaten anything for breakfast she was just too excited about Christmas that she couldn’t eat. Anyways she wasn’t much of a breakfast eater.

As she still held onto her stomach she noticed Kim playing with little children. They seemed some what alike and that put a smile on Jasmine face. She watched as the grandmother sent the children away and Kim was left alone by self. Jasmine thought of going over to play with her but the clerk behind her asked her if she was ready to pay for her things. Trying not to be rude Jasmine turned around and walked up to the counter and leaned on it slightly. She supported her wait on the counter and she reached into her pocket for money. She took out some muggle money and a frown was on her face. As the clerk waited for her to get her wizarding money Jasmine searched her pocket trying to find the money. Did she forget it already? That was so unlike her. Digging deeper into her pocket she let out a sigh of relief as she took out the money. She held it in her hands and thought of what each thing coast and added it all up together. It was hard for her to try it the long way and she took ten sickles and handed it to the clerk. The lady just smiled at her and handed her bag to her and gave her the rest of the left over money. Jasmine smiled warmly and turned around towards where she had last seen Kim.

She stood around the center of the store looking above the heads of tall people looking for the younger girl. There was a frown on her face and she felt lonely once again. Did Kim leave without her because she thought that she was to boring? She put her hand on her arm and she looked down at the flour and started to feel a little uneasy. She hated it when she was alone but it seemed to get used to it for a while. Both of her births parents never noticed she exists and ignored her allot. She then was sent to the orphanage and felt even lonelier. Only Kelsey was the person she really ever knew and Katie. Katie is now a first year Gryffindor who is very hyper at times and talktive. Kelsey was her age and also went to the same orphanage as she did. They became best of friends due to there difference. Jasmine let out a sigh and she turned around about to leave. As she reached for the door Kim came up to her and Jasmine was glad to see her. She listened to the girl talk about candy and watched her paid the clerk. Jasmine let out a small laugh as she gave to much money. "Its okay it took me a while to get it all down but now I can do it all in my head and including the tax." Jasmine said with a smile and held her bag in her hands tight as her stomatic rumpled. Why did she feel this way at the moment? She shrugged it off and tired to think of other stores they could go to. It would be too late to go to the shrieking shack and she didn’t feel like being scared out of her wits. "How about we go to the Three broomsticks for some butter bear." Jasmine said with a cheery smile and opened the door for Kim and let her out first.

Kim followed Jasmine out of the store and looked around for something to do. "I think we can go to the Three Broomsticks, but I have to be back to my parents in 8 minutes and they're in the Three Broomsticks so we have to hurry if we're going to go before I have to get back home again." Kim then walked down the street to the Three Broomsticks. She walked rather slowly as there was no real hurry, she had a good several minutes to go before she would be late and so she took in the sites that the stores provided her. "Ooooh I want that!!" She said as she pointed to a bright yellow dress that was in the shop window. "Do you think I can wear that to school because I really like that bright dress it looks so sunny! Like its a sunflower but it's not but it just looks like it because it's so bright I want to get that do you think I can buy it for only 6 sickles?" Kim ran over to the window and put her face against the glass and peered longingly at the dress that seemed to taunt her from inside. "Come on Jasmine I have to get to the Three Broomsticks fast so I can ask my mum if she can buy me that dress!" Kim then turned down the street and ran once more as fast as her little legs could take her.

She soon burst into the Three Broomsticks and ran over to where her parents were sitting. "Mum! Dad! I'm back on time! Oh mum guess what? I saw this really bright yellow dress in that store, you know the one down by the little tree and then I only had 6 sickles left because I don't know where the rest of my money went. Oh guess what else I bought these candies" Kim then slammed down her bag of candy on the table and heard a crunching sound. "ooh what was that?" Looking into her bag she saw some of her chocolate quills had broken in half. "Hey how'd that happened?" she asked as she pulled out a quill and looked at it. "Mum can I have some money for another butterbeer I kind of thirsty right now too, oh and then can you go to the store with me to get me that dress?"
Lisa Sullivan looked at Kim in disbelief as she threw down a bag of candy and wondered where her money had gone to. She also noticed another that had come in with Kim, "Kim do you know that girl?"

Kim then spun around and saw Jasmine again, "oh yea mum that's Jasmine she's my friend! She goes to Hogwarts! She plays Quidditch too! She a Ravenclaw though but she's nice and she likes candy too but I don't think you should talk to her because she doesn't say a lot and I think she's kind of shy because when we were in the stores she didn't say a lot of stuff but I think she wants to get a Firebolt though but I don't need a Firebolt yet because I'm a keeper so I don't need to fly fast but I might need one later if I ever play something that’s not me being the Keeper but then I will need to get a new broom for that too but now I don't need one because I'm just a Keeper so I can just use my broom that I have now and.. oh.. mum can you go get me that dress?"

Lisa Sullivan sighed once more, "Kim remember what we said about you talking too much? I bet your friend isn't shy, you just talk too much so no one can get a word in edgewise! Now why don't you go bring your friend over and introduce us to her." Kim looked over her should and then ran over to where Jasmine was, "Jasmine come on my mum wants to meet you, they're over there see them? That's my mum.. that's my dad they want to meet you OK?"

Jasmine followed behind Kim as they walked out of Honeyduckes. Like before it was cold out and the wind kept blowing at her face stinging her face. Jasmine loved winter time but she did know why it had to be so cold. She pulled down her Ravenclaw colored hat further on her head to block the winds. Her mind kept racing and thinking about the up coming Quidditch match. It ad been on her mind for a long time and couldn’t stop but to think about it. Would she play alright? Will Ravenclaw win? Jasmine could feel butter flies in her stomach floating around. She couldn’t handle her nerves that grew within her. Jasmine kept quiet thinking about Quidditch ad horses. When ever se was nervous she thought of those things and it seemed to calm her down a little bit.

As the two girls walked down the streets to The Three Broomsticks store. She started to hum to herself lightly trying not to think of Quidditch game. Jasmine loved to sing and wrote some songs of her own. But Vanessa Link, a Hufflepuff fifth year, was a better song writer than she was. Jasmine sighed and than noticed that Kim was looking into a window a bright yellow dress. She smiled and walked up behind her friend and looked into the store for something that she might like. Her hazel eyes scanned the store for a dress that stood out to her. Jasmine didn’t see anything she liked but the dress that Kim was looking at was really pretty and bright. "That’s a really pretty dress." Jasmine said with a smile and walked to Three Broomsticks.

Kim had gone into the store first and Jasmine trailed behind her wondering if she should go in. It would be a little award but Jasmine had to learn that she can’t always stay in her comfort zone. She stopped in front of the entrance and opened the door slowly. Jasmine walked inside and looked around for Kim and her parents. She had just met the girl but Jasmine really like her and she knew they could become some what of good friends. Jasmine smiled as she saw Kim talk to her mother and father. But than it faded as they looked at her strangely. She started to feel a little uneasy but stood her ground. Kim than came over towards her and said that her parents wonted to met her. "Umm..... Okay." Jasmine said and followed Kim to the both her parents. All she did was smile and stood next to Kim putting her hands on her pocket.

Kim led the way back to the table where her parents were and stood for a spilt second until she saw her half eaten sandwich was still there! "Yay!" Kim exclaimed as she sat down and grabbed her plate and took a bite of her sandwich and by now had forgotten that she had brought Jasmine over. Kim was brought back to her senses by her mother stepping on her foot, that was her mum always did when she did something wrong in a restaurant. Kim instinctively stopped eating her sandwich and looked around trying to find her offense. Turning behind her she saw Jasmine! "Hi Jasmine!" She said as she turned in her seat to face her friend, "mum, dad this is Jasmine she's my friend, we were going to the stores today but I didn't do anything wrong or get in trouble. Oh mum can Jasmine come to our house today I get bored when I'm on vacation and then I can't talk to anyone when I'm home alone so can she come to our house today?" Kim didn't wait for an answer she turned her head again to Jasmine, "do you want to come to my house today?" To which Kim again had her foot stepped on which meant she needed to be quiet, but it was always so hard. Looking down at her sandwich and her plate Kim sighed, she didn't like having to be quiet it wasn't fun.

Lisa Sullivan then looked at Jasmine and held out her hand, "it's lovely to meet you Jasmine, you must be quite patient to put up with Kim all the time. If you want you may come to our home, but you'll have to ask your parents first."

Kim smiled as she heard the answer and poked her now soggy sandwich and waited for Jasmine's answer.

Jasmine stood where she was behind her new friend. Putting her hands in her pocket and looked down at the flour she felt all nervous. She was always like this around people she didn’t know but Kim brought out a side of her she never knew existed. But Vanessa Link also did too and so did Molly Stanford her two best friends that she could tell anything. Looking up from the dark wooden flour she laughed softly at Kim as she took a bite of her sandwich. Smiling even more she looked around. The store was overly crowded but Jasmine didn’t mind she was quite used to it. It was always crowed at the Christmas parties that Lana threw for all the students. It was Jasmine job to make sure the kids don’t misbehave themselves and play nice.

Smiling even more Jasmine felt her heart skipped as Kim asked if she could go to her house. She wonted to say yes right away but she didn’t know what Lana would say. The Christmas party must have been over by now and didn’t need help from Jasmine anymore. Sighing she turned to Mrs. Sullivan and nodded her head at her, "Its quite alright I like Kim a lot as a friend. She brings out something of me that I never thought existed." Jasmine said turning slightly red for what she had said. "Here let me call Lana and ask but I am sure it will just be fine with her." Jasmine said smiling and turning towards the bathroom where she could talk without any noise.

Closing the door behind her lightly she locked it and took out her cell phone that was in her shoulder bag. Jasmine flipped it open and dialed in the number and held it up to her ear and waited for some one to answer. Lana had given Jasmine that cell phone today for a Christmas present since she was always off at other horse shows or some where with her friends. "'Hello?" Chad voice came into the phone. Jasmine looked slightly confused, "Chad where’s Lana I have to ask her a question?" she spoke back into the phone and leaned up against the wall. "Wait one moment....." Chad spoke to her and she waited patiently for Lana to pick up the phone. "Jasmine is you there?" Lana soft kind voice said to her. "Yes Lana I am just fine. I was wondering if I could go to my friend’s house today. Her name is Kimberly Sullivan." Jasmine said hoping that she will say yes. Closing her eyes she anticipated for the answer. "Yes of course you can call us when you need to be picked up. Have a good time!" Lana said to her and hung up.

Putting the phone back into her shoulder bag she unlocked the door and walked back towards Kim and her parents. Stopping she looked at them and smiled even more. "Um.... Lana said I could come I really hope you don’t mind me coming." Jasmine said putting her hand back into her pockets and trying to calm her nereves that seem to bundle up inside of her.

Kim clapped her hands happily when Jasmine said she could come over to her house. "OK lets go come on mom lets go!!" Kim said as she grabbed her mom's hand and pulled her from the booth. In a few moments they were standing in front of the fireplace. First her parents went through the Floo network, her dad being a muggle he needed to go through the network with her mom. Kim then looked at the bin of Floo powder and stepped into the fireplace, "Jasmine come on lets go." Once Jasmine had joined her Kim dropped the powder into the fireplace and away they were taken in a green flame.

In seconds they re appeared in the Sullivan den. "Come on my room is this way Jasmine lets go!" Kim led the way down the hallway to her room. Kim pushed open the door and walked into her room which was covered in pink wallpaper and had many posters of Kim Possible and other cartoons. Scattered about the floor were Kim Possible toys, stuffed animals and My Little Ponies. In one corner rested a book case that was filled with board games. "This is my room!" Kim said as she sat down in a chair in front of her TV which had dozens of Disney movie DVDs and some video games. "Do you like my room? I have lots of toys here but mom says I can't bring them all with me to Hogwarts, she said that I wouldn't do any work if I took my toys so I could only take a few things with me but I managed to take some good things. So what do you want to do? Do you like My little Pony I have lots of them here I think." Kim opened up a small chest and took out two ponies but looked sad. "I have lots more where'd the rest go?" Kim next crawled under her bed and in a few seconds tossed a couple ponies out towards Jasmine, "Do you see anymore?" Kim called out from under her bed.

A cheery smile lay across Jasmine face as Kim was delighted to have some one come over. Jasmine wondered if Kim did have any other friends because to her she was a rather cool girl. Watching next to Kim they watched as Mr. and Mrs. Sullivan disappear into the green flames. Gulping Jasmine felt a little scared because traveling by floo powder was not fun for her. Taken a deep breathe she walked into the fire and stood next to Kim and closed her eyes. As the girls started to spin Jasmine could feel her stomach make flip flop motions. Closing her eyes even tighter she waited for it all to be over.

As the spinning had stopped Jasmine opened her eyes and looked around at the living room. Smiling she followed Kim into her room and her eyes widen in shocked. The walls were pink and posters of cartoons and Disney characters lay across her room. Smiling she looked around at the toys that scatted everywhere in the room. Jasmine had never played with toys at a young age she was always reading and singing. Maybe Kim will help her find the more enteric side of Jasmine. Smiling she looked around in the room for other of the ponies. Spotting a white horse in the corner she walked over towards it and picked it up. "Hey Kim I found this pony it reminds me so much of Calvin back at home. Calvin looks almost like this pony it’s really cool." Jasmine said knelling beside Kim and looking at the other horses.

Jasmines eyes twinkled as she looked at the pretty plastic ponies that were all lined up. Smiling even more she picked up a pink pony with orange hair and little peaches mark on the rump. Turning her head to the right slightly she put the pony back down and picked up the blue one. "Ohhh.... I like this one!" Jasmine said smiling even more. The pony was dark blue with light blue hair for a mane and tail. Glittery stars lay on the pines rump and that made Jasmine eyes twinkled even more.

But Jasmine felt rather confused of what to do with the pony she put it back down with the other lined up ones. Turning her head towards Kim she tucked her brown hair behind her ears and looked up at her new friend and smiled. "I never played with something like this before. My life as a child pretty much was just reading and studying and nothing good happen." Jasmine said taking another look around the room and stood up and looked at a poster with an animated girl on it with long red hair up in a pony tail. Turning back towards Kim she had a confused look on her face. "Hey Kim whose that?" Jasmine said pointing towards the poster.

Kim looked back out from under her bed and saw that Jasmine had found a couple more of her ponies. Crawling back from under her bed Kim looked at her little line of ponies and picked up her white one. “Do you like ponies Jasmine?” Kim asked while she petted her little white pony and played with it’s tail. “How come you didn’t get to play with toys like these when you were little? Ooooh are you a pureblood? Is that why? Do pureblood children get different kind of toys? My mom’s a witch but my dad’s not so I got both kinds of toys, most of my toys here are muggle kind of toys because my parents didn’t know if I was going to get into Hogwarts but then even before that they let me go to muggle school to go and learn and then I got to play with muggle kids too so when they came to my house I had to have muggle toys but I really like them they are really fun toys like these ponies and the games and dolls, oh and computer games are fun and video games too I have this really fun game where you get to control these people and tell them what to do, it’s called the Sims it’s really fun. Also I like my video games too because some are really fun. I like my soccer game because I like to play soccer but I’m not any good so I just watch soccer on TV now but it’s really fun I like Manchester City so I play with them in my game.” Kim then rolled over onto her back and grabbed a little blue and white soccer ball that had had the Manchester City logo, “see I got this at a game I went to a few years ago it’s like a real soccer ball but only smaller but I like it, mom says I can’t play with it inside but it’s really soft so I can kick it in my room and it won’t make much noise and then that’s my target goal over there in the corner!”

Kim next ran to the corner and pulled out her plastic soccer goal and pulled it out from the wall. Then placing the ball on the floor Kim concentrated on the goal and then the ball and raised her right hand like she was signaling for a corner kick. She then took a step forward and kicked the little ball right into the goal! “Yah!!! That’s fun!! Here you try it!” Kim ran over and grabbed the little ball and set it back in the middle of the room for Jasmine when she pointed out a poster. “Oooh that’s Kim Possible! I like her! Her name’s like my name! She’s super cool! She’s a cheerleader and then she goes and she solves crimes and she catches the criminals and then she like knows martial arts and she can kick and punch and do flips in the air! Pow! Bam! Kick!” Kim then began to imitate a few martial arts moves. “Do you ever watch cartoons? What’s your favorite? I like a of them but some are just dumb.”

Jasmine tucked her dark hair behind her ears and looked at the younger girl. Smiling she knelled down on the flour again and tried a way to apprach the answer. It was always hard for Jasmine to talk about her past, it made her feel unwatned. Pushing aside that feeling she looked at the ponies and picked up the blue on she adored so much. Playing around with its tail she smiled, "Well I am not a pureblood I am half as well. As a child I wasnt around telvention but books. My father was a sceinst and my moms a model. But now I live with Lana, my adopted mother, and I am always busy. Either its singing in a local club or threate, or out in the stable I am always busy." Jasmine said noticing how her life was really boring. Sighing she sat down idian style and looked around in her shoulder bag. Taking out an really colorful inviation she handed it to Kim. "If you ever have time come by. I am going to sing along with my friend Vanessa. We also need help clearing things and you can help as well." Jasmine said handing Kim the yellow and red invation. Jasmine had designed it herself and took her many hours just to finish one.

"I really hope you can come it would be fun!" Jasmine said smiling and laughing at Kims imations about the super hero. Looking back at the poster she didnt even know the show but it seemed interesting. "Well I dont really know that many but I love to watch The Fresh Prince of Bel Air its really funny and Will Smith is so cool in it!" Jasmine said as her eyes lit up. Smiling she pulled her hair up into a pony tail and looked more around at the room. Smiling even more she looked at her new found friend and wondered what was coming up next.
