Broom Shopping ((Nokomis))

[Sadie Rivers H6]

Sadie had been staying at the Leaky Cauldron while she looked for her aunt. She had sent Nokomis an owl letting her know where she was and seeing if there was some way Nokomis could meet her in Diagon Alley. And she had added the thought of maybe going broom shopping while the two friends were there. Sadie had made sure to tell Nokomis what room she was in at the Leaky Cauldron.

Sadie had been candy shopping and had gotten Nokomis some Chocolate Frogs, she hoped that Nokomis liked them, since she wasn't sure what kind of candy her new friend liked.

Sadie hoped to hear from Nokomis soon, she really looked forward to seeing her new friend again.

She was thrilled when an owl flapped against her window and she pulled off the note to reveal a message from Sadie, explaining where she was. They had talked about getting her a broom on the train home, and now would be a great time to do it. Then they would have the rest of the summer for Sadie to learn how to fly it and playing quidditch. It would be wonderful. She returned the owl to Sadie immediately, with a note attached giving her a time and date, saying she would meet her in the Leaky Cauldron.

Well, the day finally name, and she used the wonderful floo network to make her way to Killeen to London. She stepped out of the fireplace feeling rather dizzy and a bit sick to her stomach, but she could hardly wait to see Sadie again.

Sadie woke up that morning so excited. She was surprised that she had even been able to sleep. It was the day that Nokomis was supposed to come to London to see her. The two of them were supposed to go broom shopping. Sadie wondered what kind of broom that she would get. Whatever it was, it was going to be great.

Sadie ran down to the dining hall at the Leaky Cauldron. She decided to wait and have breakfast after Nokomis got there. She didn't think she could eat before anyway.

After stepping into the room and looking around she spotted Sadie and moved across the room toward her. The Leaky Cauldron wasn't too busy today, but she guessed that was because of the early hour. She reached her new friend and gave her a wide, friendly smile. She had worked so hard on being able to do that around people she considered friends.

"Hi Sadie!"

Sadie was standing hear one of the tables, in the dining room section of the Leaky Cauldron, and from where they were standing she could smell eggs and bacon frying. The smell reminded her of how she had only had half a piece of toast before she left that morning and she was sure that if she waited much longer, not too far from the kitchen, and she didn't get something to eat, she stomach would start growling louder than an angry troll.

Sadie saw Nokomis as she started to walk toward her. Maybe she was so easy to spot, because the Leaky Cauldron wasn't as busy as usual.

" Hi, Nokomis" Sadie said with a huge smile on her face. She was glad to see that Nokomis was smiling back at her.

Sadie wondered if Nokomis had eaten any breakfast, because the smell of the eggs were making her hungry. " Do you want to eat something? Oh, I got you something." Sadie said reaching into her pocket, and pulling out a small box that was wrapped in some muggle paper that had horses on it. Sadie had a little problem finding the paper, but she was finally able to get it. " Here, I thought you might like these." Sadie said handing Nokomis the gift wrapped box of Chocolate Frogs.

She smiled with relief when Sadie asked if she wanted to get something to eat. She was so hungry, and everything smelled wonderful. He mum had started on this eat healthy thing, and she wanted something fried and totally unhealthy more than anything. She nodded, motioning to the tale to see if Sadie wanted to sit and order.

It was then that Sadie handed her a small gift wrapped package and Nokomis smiled, a hint of color rising in her cheeks.
"You didn't have to get me anything..."
She looked down at the package and carefully unwrapped it, reveling a box of chocolate frogs.
"My favorites! Thank you."

She smiled at Sadie, nothing that she would have to do something nice for her new friend later on, before she settled down at the table. The they hadn't been sitting long when a man walked over and asked if he could help them.
"Um...could I have....a glass of pumpkin juice....and....scrambled eggs with sausage?"

Sadie agreed to sit down and order something. She felt like she was starving, she hadn't eat in what seemed like days. And she wanted something good and fried, and something a little spicy.

" It was no problem, I wanted to get you something anyway. Since you are being nice enough come all the way to meet me, and go broom shopping with me." Sadie replied when Nokomis opened her present. She was happy to see that Nokomis liked them as much as she did.

Shortly after the two sat down, a man came to take their order for breakfast. Sadie let Nokomis order first, and what she ordered sounded exactly like what Sadie was just thinking about. " I'll have the same thing that she ordered." Sadie said laughing. " Wow, looks like we have more in common than we realized while we were in school." Sadie laughed.
