((Sadie, I'm so sorry it took me so long! I was really busy at the time, and for some reason, my comuter kept on X-ing me out of this page, so I had to keep on rewriting it!))
"Come on mum!" Hayden urgded her mother. It was about 10:30 a.m., and Hayden's family was getting prepared to go to Diagon Alley. Well, actually, Hayden's wizarding family was going to Diagon Alley. The wizarding part of her family was Hayden's mother, Hayden's older brother Ian, and Hayden. Hayden's father was a muggle, and he never went into any part of the wizarding world.
Anyway, Hayden was currently sitting on the couch, in the living room, watching her favorite Saturday morning cartoon, Ian was probably up in his room playing video games or on the computer or something, and her mother was in the kitchen, clleaning up after breakfast. As soon as her mother was finished, she would go get ready, and they would go. About fifteen minutes later, Hayden was still watching T.V., and her mother was finally ready! "Ian!" she called from the end of the staircase. "Come on! We're going to leave now!"
A few seconds later, Ian was downstairs, and looked ready as well. "Let's go, let's go, let's go!" Hayden yelled impatienlly, pushing the two toward the door. Once they had finally reached their destination, Hayden smiled. She just loved going to Diagon Alley! So far, it was the only village in the wizarding world that she had been to, but she just loved it! Seeing all of the magical animals and items and food and everything, was just fascinating to her.
On Hayden's request, they soon stoped at a nearby candy store. As Hayden's mother and Ian walked around up in the front of the store, Hayden wandered around all over the place. Some of these treats and candies had very odd, and sometimes disgusting names, but they looked very good anyway!

Sadie had been wondering around the candy shop, looking for a present for a couple of friends, when she noticed a young girl and her mom walking in. The girl looked very excited to be in Diagon Alley. Sadie decided to walk over to her, and ask was she going to Hogwarts'.
" Hi, I'm Sadie, a second year Hufflepuff at Hogwart's. Are you a new student there?" Sadie asked politely and flashed a friendly smile.

Hayden was examining a red lollipop. when she heard a voice next to her. She jumped in surprise, and suddenly turned around, and accidentally dropped the candy, causing it to shatter into a few pieces. "Whoops..." she said, as she looked down at the broken candy, and forgetting about the voice for a seconds. "Well, I suppose I was going to buy it anyway..." she muttered as she took the few pieces and put it back onto the small contour for now. As she stood back up, she noticed a girl, that looked a little bit older than her, and just a tad higher than Hayden next to her.
The girl introduced herself as Sadie Young, and that she was a second year Hufflepuff. Hayden smiled broadly at the girl. She was glad that she finally met someone that was a Hufflepuff, since that was the house the Hayden was hoping to be sorted into. "Hi!" greeted Hayden. "I'm Hayden Hinson." Sadie then asked if Hayden was a new student at Hogwarts. "Well," Hayden replied. "I guess you could say that, but I'm going to be a first year at Hogwarts this term, and I'm really excited! I'm hoping to be sorted into Hufflepuff, is it a good house?" she asked excitedly.

" Yeah, it's a great house!" Sadie said a little excited that the girl wanted to be a Hufflepuff. " The other girls in the house were really polite to me when I was in my first year." She told Hayden.
She thought back to a spell that she had read over the summer that was suppose to repair things, she hadn't had the chance to try it out until now. 'This broken lollipop will give me a great chance to try it' Sadie thought to herself. She took out her wand, and looked over at Hayden, then back to the lollipop. Suddenly she tapped the lollipop with her wand, and said "Reparo", suddenly the lollipop pulled itself back together.
" There, now if you don't want it, you won't have to buy it." She said smiling at Hayden.

Hayden listened to Sadie tell her about how everybody in Hufflepuff was very nice to her when she was a first year, and Hayden smiled. "Well, that's really good, because I'm really hyper and energectic, but I can also get very nervous and shy when I first go somewhere new or around new people." she said.
Hayden watched in fascination as she watched perform a spell that fixed the lollipop, and put it back together again. "Wow..." mused Hayden at the sight of it. Since hayden had grew up, thinking that she was a muggle, and she was one introduced to magic just this year, she was still always very excited to see anything magic, or watch anybody do any spells. "Thanks." she replied, with a broad smile. "I actually was thinking about getting it, but I'm not even really sure what it is." she shrugged. "So, do you know what any of these candies are?" Hayden asked Sadie curiously.

" I don't usually come in here very often. I'm going to a friend's house this summer, and wanted to get her something. I'm still not sure what I'm going to get her." Sadie said, looking at the lollipops. " I know some of them are acid pops, but I don't know what all of them are." She told Hayden.
Sadie didn't know what she was going to take to her friend when she went to her house this summer, and she had forgotten to ask what kind of candies Nokomis liked. She would just have to send her an owl and find out.
" So, what did you come to Diagon Alley for?" Sadie asked trying not to sound nosy, but the question came out rude, that wasn't the way Sadie had intended it to be either.

Hayden listened to Sadie talk, and say that she knew some of the lollipops were acid pops, but she wasn't sure what all of them were. Sadie then asked what Hayden was doing at Diagon Alley, in a rather rude tone for Hayden, but then the girl looked as though she hadn't intened for it to come out like that.
"Oh umm... I dunno." she replied honestly. She hadn't actually asked her mother why they were going to Diagon Alley, because she had been wrapped up in too much excitement. "I suppose we just came to shop around for a bit, and get a few things that were needed. I know that mum needed a new robe and a few books, because she said that that's where we are going next, but I'm not toally sure... As for this candy shop, I just wanted to come here." she concluded with a smile.

" Wow, I wish my mom would have been able to come with me. She wasn't a witch, and didn't know my dad was a wizard." Sadie said with a slight sniffle. Sadie hadn't talked about her mom and dad since she had gotten out of school. She had told her friend Nokomis about her parents being sick, but she had only found out that they didn't survive the illness.
" So what do you look forward to the most when you start Hogwart's?" Sadie asked

Sadie said that she wished that her mother could have come with her, but her mother was a muggle, and that her mother didn't know that her father was a wizard. Hayden saw that Sadie was a bit upset, and Hayden really wanted to ask her what was troubling her, but since Sadie quickly changed the subject, Hayden figured that she didn't want tot talk about. Sadie had asked Hayden what she was looking foward to at Hogwarts. Well, she was looking forward to a lot!
"Well, I'm looking forward to a ton of things actually!" Hayden exclaimed. "I'm looking forward to learning how to magic the most I suppose, and meeting tons of new friends, and learning about all this magical stuff!" she replied happily.

" Sorry about the statement about my parents," Sadie suddenly said, " I guess I should explain it. See, my parents both got severly ill during the last term. My dad wrote me one letter and told me that there was no need in me coming home. So I stayed at school. Then when I got home a few weeks ago, I found the house looked as if it had been deserted. Then as I walked to my room, wondering what had happened, I found a letter from my dad. The letter explained that he had a secret box that would tell me more about him and his family, and that my mom and him wouldn't be alive by the time I arrived home. He also left the the address of the place where they had theirselves buried." She stopped for a moment to wipe a tear from her eye. After all, it was a sad thing for her to talk about. Then she decided to continue, " Anyway, the house looked like it had also be ransacked, but my dad's box was well hidden. I'm not entirely sure, but I think it was Death Eaters that killed my parents, and I'm trying to get to the bottom of why. I want to know before my friend comes to see me."
Sadie realized that the girl might not entirelly understand, since she was just starting school next term, but she felt that she needed to explain it to the young girl.
" Anyway, Hogwart's is a great place. It's going to be so much fun for you. That is unless there are no attacks at the school." Sadie didn't want the girl to be frightened but she felt that the girl should know about it.

Hayden listened to Sadie's sad story, at a lose of words, really, which barely ever happened to her. She didn't know what to say after she was finished, but her eyes grew a bit wider when Sadie mentioned that Death Eaters might have killed her parents. Hayden only knew a bit about You-Know-Who and the Death Eaters. She only knew what she had heard, and she hadn't heard very much. Her mother and older brother had told her a bit, but the again, didn't tell her much either, not wanting to frighten her, and wanting her to find out herself more about it, when she went to Hogwarts.
Then Sadie mentioned something about Hogwarts was a great place, as long as there were no Death Eater attacks. Hayden pondered on that for a couple of seconds, remembering what her older brother had told her. "Oh, yeah," she started. "Wasn't there an attack last term? Well, my older brother told me about that. He's a sixth year, in Hufflepuff, by the way. Anyway, he told me that there was a lot of students hurt really badly, so you think it will happen this year?" she asked, a bit of fear in her voice.

" I hope it doesn't happen, but then we never know." Sadie said after she had calmed down.
Sadie was glad that Hayden knew a little bit about He Who Must Not Be Named. Sadie wasn't afraid of saying his name, but everyone was appalled at her when she did say it, so she continued to refer to him the same way everyone else did.
" So, did you say that you were going to the robe shop after you leave here?" Sadie asked. She looked down at her own robes, they were getting a little too short, and they were fading, and a little tattered at the ends. She decided that she could use a new pair herself, but if Hayden and her mom didn't want Sadie to tag along, she would go robe shopping after Nokomis got there.

Sadie said that she wasn't exactly sure if there might be an attack this term or not, because no one would really ever know. Hayden smiled slightly, and shrugged. Sadie then asked if Hayden had said that they were going to the robe shop next. "Yes," she replied. "Yes, I'm pretty sure that that's where we are going next. Why? Would you like to come along, I'm sure that my mum wouldn't mind."
Hayden looked behind her, at the many candies, and she npticed the lollipop that she had broken, and Sadie had fixed for her, sitting on the counter beside her. Hayden had forgotten about the candy for a while, when she was talking to Sadie. "So, are you going to buy any candy?" she asked curiously. "I'm going to, but I can't decide what looks best. These lollipops look really tasy, those choclates do to..." she said, as she pointed her finger to the candies as she said them, mouth watering slightly. "Oh! And those things, whatever they are, look really tasy as well!" she said, pointing to some sort of jellintin form. "Oh, and these!" she finished, pointing to a bag of Bertie Botts of Flavour Beans. "But, I've tried them befroe, and they have really gross flavours..." she said, making a face.

Sadie laughed at Hayden's comment about Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans. " I know what you mean, but they have some good flavors, too." Sadie thought a moment, she wasn't sure what kind of candy Nokomis liked but, she wanted to get her something anyway. " I think I'm going to get some Chocolate Frogs, for my friend Nokomis." Sadie said as she looked around for the frogs.
Sadie suddenly heard Hayden ask if she would like to come along with her and her mom to the robe shop. " Only if your mum doesn't mind. I don't want to interrupt something important." She said thinking of the times that she and her mom had went to the muggle shops for clothes. " If she doesn't want me to tag along, I can just wait on Nokomis to arrive, she might need some things too." Sadie said thinking that her friend might need some new school supplies.
