Padme looked up from the magazine she was reading to face a very tired Tessa. "Darling, I must be going. I'm so sorry." Tessa ruffled Padme's hair and then turned away. Walking toward the door very fast, Tessa left without a backward glance. Padme sighed; today was going to be a very long boring day. Padme walked into the kitchen only to find Cameron eating cereal. She glared at him before sitting down and pouring her own cereal. She ate as fast as possible; she had a sudden inspiration to write to her brother, Jack. She didn't want Cameron to see in case he found out; Padme hadn't told him about her brother. She hastened out of the room ten minutes late, leaving Cameron to his eating. Padme walked over to Tessa's room, grabbed a piece of parchment, quill, and ink bottle.
Dear Jack,
How about going to Diagon Alley with me tomorrow? I have nothing better to do and I have lots of things to talk about. Hope you don't mind a motor-mouth. Tessa's gone for the day. I'm left with Cameron. Ugh! How about one in the afternoon? Sound good to you? Meet me at the ice-cream parlor.
Padme
Satisfied, Padme gave the letter to Tessa's owl, Symphony, and watched her fly out of the room. She then walked over to her room and took a long shower. It felt good and refreshing. Once done, Padme dressed in a green skirt and a green silk blouse. She smoothed it so there was absolutely no crease and then turned to the matter of her hair. She was going to put it in the normal bun on top of her head, but then decided to put it back in a braid. The braid reached half-way down her back. She smiled at herself in the mirror; she looked perfect. She smoothed her skirt once more before going down to meet Cameron again. He was still eating - the pig. Padme smirked at him as if daring him to stop her as she opened the door and stepped outside. It was a hot day, as it usually is in June. Cameron seemed to get Padme's warning - he did nothing to stop her.
The sunshine was bright and cheery as she walked down the streets of London. Padme glared at everyone in sight and once inside the Leaky cauldron, she smoothed her skirt once more before stepping outside the pub and to the brick wall. She tapped the bricks that one had to, and watched as Diagon Alley came into view. She stepped into the Alley and looked around. She spotted the ice-cream shop and and tried to look for a brown head. Seeing none, she took a seat after ordering her ice-cream and waited. She knew Jack would come; he wouldn't reject her invitation. She smirked and started tapping her foot like she always did when she was impatient.
