Ariane walked down the Diagon Alley, turning away at the exact right place and entered the Knockturn Alley. She had been here many times earlier as well with her parents and Ariane didn’t know why the Alley had such bad reputation. Btu it had it’s bonuses – kept those mudbloods and freaky half-bloods out of the way. Who on their right mind would ever marry a muggle? In a way half-bloods were even words the mudbloods.
Passing some tall figure completely covered with a black cloak without a second glance – it didn’t pay to be too nosy in the Knockturn Alley – Ariane walked down the street. There were shady business and personalities here, but Ariane didn’t have anything to fear really. She was a pureblood after all.
Stepping into the apothecary Ariane browsed the store picking up a couple of ingredients. She could brew a couple of… surprises… for the unworthy in Hogwarts with these. There was no place like the Knockturn to buy the best stuff. It was expensive and often rare, but it was absolutely the best. Paying for her purchases Ariane told the store-owner to send the things to her home-manor before leaving the apothecary and looking around.
She could always look around herself some more, but she would have to decide where to start her exploring trip. Turning and starting to move to her left Ariane browsed some stores, buying a new blouse for herself as well as a Slytherin green dress and mking the necessary arrangements for them to be sent over to her home along with the potions supplies.
Leaving the store again shouting reached Ariane’s ears and she turned curiously just in time to see someone arguing with the shop-keeper, obviously being very irritated. The person stormed off a moment later and stopped in front of a shop-window that was next to Ariane. The person seemed to be going to Hogwarts - deciding on age - and was most probably a Slytherin - the reason for being in Knockturn Alley. Both of these facts together made Ariane decide on speaking: “It’s so hard to find good service nowadays.”
