Jasmine wake up to the sounds of the horses playing outside. A smile grew on her face and she pulled the covers over her and looked out the window. She pressed her face against it and looked outside at the mare and foal running around the paddock. Jasmine sighed at the sight and closed her eyes as she remembered the two horses. Just a couple weeks ago one of their best horses gave birth to a beautiful foal. Sighing Jasmine got up and headed for the bath room before her brother woke up. It was early in the morning and only Lana was up.
As she walked down the hallway and passed many pictures of the horses and her family up one the wall. Jasmine lived with her adopted mother named Lana Parker. At a young age Jasmine never received the right treatment from her parents. They would always ignore her and never pay attention to her. With that kind of treatment she become very quiet and kept to herself a lot. The only thing that took the pain away was singing. Tears filled Jasmines eyes as she remembered her past and opened the door to the bath room.
Thirty minutes later Jasmine came out with her robe on and a towel to stop her hair from dripping. Walking back to her room she saw Chad come down the hallway. "Couldn’t you take any longer." he told her as they passed by. Jasmine smirked at him and laughed softly, "Yes. Maybe you should get up early like me." Jasmine told him brother and closed the door to her room lightly. She looked around her room for a nice pair of clothes to wear. Her room was rather small with one dresser, a closet, bed, and a computer table. Opening the door to her closet she looked at all her clothes that hung up neatly on their hangers. Smiling she picked out a purple tank top that said the words Horse Crazy on them and a pair of faded out jeans.
Setting the clothes on her bed she sat down on her computer chair and looked at a mirror that hung on the wall. Looking at her reelection she pulled off the towel on her head and her hair laid there all messed up and wet. Taking a comb she brushed out her hair and started to blow dry it. Once her hair was all down she pulled on her jeans and the tank top and looked at her in the mirror. Jasmine smiled at her reelection as her hair was lightly curled and put on some lip gloss and picked up her shoulder bag and walked out of her room with her little orange and white kitten following behind her.
Jasmine laughed and picked up the little ball of fur and held it close in her arms and sat down on a piano bench. Jasmine had learned how to play over the summer and learned a great new song that she had been practing. Putting lily on her lap she turned towards the piano and started to play. The sweet music filled the small room and Jasmine smiled and closed her eyes before singing anything.
"Some people want it all But I don't want anything at all If it isn’t you baby If I am not got you baby Some people want diamond rings Some just want everything But everything means nothing If I ain't got you" Jasmine sang not leting her voice die.
"Jasmine you better go before that place gets crowed!" Lana yelled opening the swinging door to the little farm house. Sighing Jasmine put her kitten down on the ground and walked into he kitchen to see that Lana had left out some money for her. Taking a deep breathe she took the money and headed towards the fire place. Picking up the floo powder and steeping into the fire place she closed her eyes and prepared for the ruf journey. "Diagon Ally" Jasmine called out and threw the powder down and she disappeared into the green flames.
Spinning and spinning Jasmine could feel her stomach get sick and closed her eyes even tighter. She hated traveling by floo powder but it was the only way to get to Diagon Ally. Landing in fire place of the Leaky Cauldron she opened her eyes again to see that the small pub was filled with witches and wizardings running around doing there last minute shopping before the school term. Taking a deep breathe Jasmine walked through the pub and towards the brick wall. "There has to be a faster way to get to the shops than taping all these bricks." Jasmine told herself and the wall opened up reveling a very busy street.
An even bigger smiled grew on her face and she entered the busy streets. Jasmine missed going to Diagon Ally and couldn’t wait for the school term to start. She seemed to become some what more herself. Walking down the streets she pulled on her jean jacket and entered Flourish and Blots and searched around for the right book. Scanning the walls she came across a potion book and picked it up off the self and opened it up and started to read. Jasmine loved all classes but Potions and charms were her

Phoebe yawned as she looked as she woke up that morning. It was time for her usual school shopping, her as in going by herself. Her parents never came along. Instead they gave her the key to their place at the bank and sent her on her way. She sighed as she looked at herself in the mirror. Her long dark hair was all over the place and it was a tangled mess. Her eyes shifted slowly to the corner of the mirror where a picture of her brother was tapped. She leaned closer and smirked at the picture. Her and her brother had been play fighting and her brother had her in the head lock but they were both smiling happily in the photo. Phoebe choked back the tears she had from looking at the picture and quickly turned around to go into her bathroom.
After she got done showering and shampooing she opened the door to go into her room and strode over to her vanity table and sat in her chair gazing at her wet mane. She smiled at her reflection and began to brush out the tangles.
"Phoebe, hurry up! You don't have all day you know! Your father is downstairs waiting to give you what you need!" Phoebe could hear her older cousin, Okatru, yelling from his room that was down the hall.
"Alright, ALRIGHT!" She yelled back. She sighed and turned on her blow dryer drowning out the sound of him yelling at her. Him and her other 50 family members who were over her house at that time.
After a while Phoebe had her clothes on and was jogging down the staircase to greet her father who was waiting.
"Women," He said quietly as she approached him.
"I love you too, Father," Phoebe said with a smirk as she gave him a quick goodbye kiss on the cheek. He have her key and he put a wand on the table in from of the staircase.
"This is your porktey." He said sounding rather bored and with that Phoebe grabbed the one and the next thing she knew she had arrived at Diagon Alley.
She smirked when she saw that she had arrived just in front of the bank. She went in quickly to get what she needed to get then hurried into Florish and Blotts.
"What do I need....?" She asked herself as she looked at her list of items and books nearly colliding with a few people.
"What were you're going you bloody..." She snarled angryily at a small child who ran straight into her. The child looked at her scared then hurried away. Phoebe felt a pang of guilt but shook it away and began looking for a book for her Potions Class.
"So much for saving the best for last..." she said with a smirk as she picked up a book. She looked over her shoulder to see an older girl reading. She raised an eyebrow but said nothing. Phoebe wasn't one for introductions.

Mary left ‘The Leaky Cauldron’ through the entrance to Diagon Alley. She walked down the street looking in store windows as she passed. She then entered ‘Flurish and Blotts’, one of her favourite stores. As she reached the potions section she smiled remembering the last time she was there. That was when she had first meet her friend Jasmine. Mary was so absorbed in that memory that she could swear Jasmine was standing at the table. She was a little put off when Jasmine didn’t disappear as all memories do and oddly enough she was wearing a different outfit.
Mary walked closer and notices another girl standing beside Jasmine. Mary could swear she had seen that girl in the common room before, but had never spoken to her. Mary snuck up behind Jasmine and tapped her on the shoulder. “Hey Jas” she then said before the girl turned around. Mary then stood on the other side of Jasmine. “What’s up?” she asked.

The big light brown book lay in her hands and Jasmine eyes glued to the pages. Turning to the next page she started to read and geting quite pulled into it. She was just your typical Ravenlaw one who liked to read, study, and liked potions class. Pulling back her dark brown hair she looked at the side of her as a girl stared at her. Smiling warmly at the younger girl she put the book back in its rightful place and smiled even more. Jasmine wasnt the girl who would go up to anyone and say hi. Heck she was just so shy and quiet she could be like air. Yes air and people could see right through her. Sighing she pushed back her dark hair again and turned towards the girl and smiled even more. "H-h-hi I a-am Jasmine Anderson fi-fi-fifth year Ravenclaw." Jasmine said taking her hand out for a hand sake.
She held her hand out into the air waiting for the other girl response when Mary came up to them. Turning towards her friend she looked at her and smiled. "Hello Mary I have been fine what about you? I havent seeny ou around until our last vist." Jasmine said smiling and turning back to the selfs next to her. Scaning the books once again she looked for something that jumped out to her. Her hazel eyes fixed on the books as she looked. Nothing seemed right and she sighed and turned towards the yougner girls and smiled waiting to have a nice converation.

Phoebe tilted her head to the side watching the older girl. She raised an eyebrow as she started to talk to her.
"Phoebe Xiong," Phoebe said simply. She put the book she had back and as she reached out casually and shook the girls hand.
Phoebe eyed the other girl as she started talking to Jasmine.
"Mary? I don't know her.. she does look familar though..." Phoebe thought to herself. She looked away from them book and grabbed a different potions book and smirked to herself. This was the one she had been looking for in the first place. She know she seemed almost as if she were ignoring the other girls, which she was in a sense, but she listened closely to their conversation as she grabbed different Potions books and gazed through them lazily.

Mary smiled as Jasmine greeted her, and asked how she had been. “I have been just lovely.” She said flashing her friend a grin. “Hey I’m Mary Evans. Sorry if you’re not and are offended by this question but… are you a Slytherin? Its just I could swear I have seen you in the common room before?” Mary quickly spat out hoping the girl wasn’t offended.
Mary then began picking up books at random. Finally she found a big blue one containing the instructions for a lot of interesting but complicated potions. Mary didn’t know if she would be able to make many of the potions, but she decided to get the book anyways. ‘If I have too much trouble I can always ask for help’ Mary thought with a silly schoolgirl grin on her face. Mary quickly wiped all signs of such feelings off her face, she was a Slytherin around someone she didn’t know but suspected to be a Slytherin, she could not show such emotions.

Jasmine leaned on the back of the wall behind her and looked at the two girls. She had never met a nicer Slytherin than Mary but Percues but that was differnt. Pulling her dark brown hair out of her face she turned around at the books and scaned them yet again. It was always what Jasmine did was scan a book and if a title poped out at her she normaly got the book. Looking at the books she put on of her hands on her hips and looked over each and every title.
The books seemed to be put in great sections. Like school books, fiction, non-fiction, and then the rest that Jasmine really didnt pay attention too. Sighing she looked across the room and saw a great book about Charms. Walking on the other side she picked up the heavy complated book. It was quite warn out but still attrach and okay looking. But Jasmine never judged a book on it looks or even people. Opening it up she started to read and walked over towrads the two girls not looking up.
As she held the book in her hands she pulled her hair out of her face again and leaned up against a wall to supported herself. Smiling she turned the pages and enjoyed the charpers. She hadnt read a charm book in a long time espicaly a seventh year. That showed how much Jasmine was welling to be a good student and get great grades. Turnign the page again she finally looked up and smiled. "Would you guys like to go get some ice cream and we can talk. Unless you have some other shopping to do thats fine as well." Jasmine said puting her hands in her pockets as she always did when she was nervous. Taking deep breathes and pushing aside her shyness a little at a time.

Phoebe gazed up at the girl realizing that she was addressing her. She raised an eyebrow and as she put the book she had in her hand back into the book shelf she said, "Why, yes... I am a Slytherin."
She picked up another book and looked at the younger girl from the corner of her eye. She saw her smile and Phoebe smirked as she saw the girl quickly change her expression back to expressionless.
"Emotionless Slytherins... never let emotion get the best of you either? Or at least you never let your emotion show in front of another Slytherin?" Phoebe said looking down at the pages of the book, but talking to Mary.
"If you are waiting for me to judge you... I won't... well not verbally at least." Phoebe continued with a hint of a smile. She knew the girl was probably a lot like her but Phoebe said nothing and put the book back. She turned to Jasmine who had just come back form the other side of the room.
"That would be splendid with me. I've hadn't any company with my shopping and if you would like to join me... only if you want to... you can..." Phoebe said to the two girls. She picked up a different Potions book with a smirk and held both in her hands waiting for their reply.

Mary was proud of herself when the other girl said that she was a Slytherin. ‘See my observation skills aren’t that bad’ she thought knowing that they really are and this was a fluke.
Mary had thought she had changed expressions quickly enough not to be discovered. But alas she was wrong and the Slytherin who Mary still didn’t know the name of commented on it. "Emotionless Slytherins... never let emotion get the best of you either? Or at least you never let your emotion show in front of another Slytherin?" The girl said and Mary prepared herself to be balled out for her laps of visible apathy. Strangely enough it didn’t come, not in so many words at least.
“Sorry if I should know but I am still in ignorance as to your name.” Mary said trying to kill two birds with one stone; change the subject and find out who this girl is.
Not long after Jasmine came back with another book and asked if they would like to get some ice cream or go shopping. The other girl said that she wouldn’t mind some company shopping. “That sounds like a grand idea to me.” Mary said picking up the book she was going to buy and prepared to follow the girls to the cash register.

Jasmine held her book close to her chest as the girls talked about being unemitonless as Slytherins. A frown came onto her face and she smield as Phoebe said she wouldnt mind some company on her shopping trip. Mary had also agreed and a even bigger smile spread acorss her face. "Great that sounds slpendid." Jasmine told them and walked up to a free counter to pay for her book.
She handed the cashier ten sickles and smiled as she took her book and walked over towards Mary and Phoebe. Stopping in front of the two younger girls. "Okay since we are going on a shopping trip where too now?" Jasmine asked holding the book out and started to read. She pulled her hair behind her ear and smiled as she turned the pages of her book. It was geting quite interesting
(Sorry for the shortness but I am really out of my muse at the moment.)

Phoebe smirked at the girl and said, "My name's Phoebe..."
With that she paid for her two books and walked over to Jasmine with a smirk.
"You must be a raven..." she said softly. She tilted her head to the side thoughtfully thinking of a place they should go to.
"Well lets see... a broom maybe? Then maybe out for some... ice cream? Or should we get ice cream first? I don't know you guys decide..." Phoebe said with a small laugh. She looked at the girl, Mary, intently wondering what her thoughts would be.

‘Phoebe… Phoebe… where have I heard that name before? Could she be…? No. Maybe…? No. Oh my gosh it is so simple I’m surprised I didn’t clue in before. She’s the Slytherin everyone compares me to. The one they say they were willing to talk to me because she is nice. How about a little experiment. If she thinks I think she is the typical Slytherin will she try and play the part? How about we see who cracks first.’ Mary thought. “Phoebe.” Mary said nodding her head slightly. “And I’m sure you heard that I’m Mary.”<br> Phoebe then went up to Jasmine and asked if ice cream or shopping should come first. Mary came up behind her. “Ice cream first sounds good.” She said simply as she handed the book over to the casher. She then paid the money required and stood beside Jasmine who had also paid already. Jasmine was reading so Mary decided to flip through her new book as well. Quickly boring of it because it was mainly lists of ingredients; she closed the book and looked over to Phoebe. “You’re in the lead.” Mary said to her waiting for them to go.

Phoebe watched the girls reaction as she told her, her name. She wondered why she got such a reaction. Phoebe smirked at Mary and said nothing.
She watched them both look through their books with amusement. Phoebe wasn't one to do that for books easily bore her. She rolled her eyes and headed for the door.
"Coming?" She said to them with a raised eyebrow and with that she lead the way to the ice cream shop. She smirked at all the people as she walked past them.
"Here we are..." She said opening the door to the shop and stepping inside.

Mary smirked at Phoebe as she followed her out of the store. This may turn out to be an interesting afternoon. ‘It may turn out to be a bore instead though’ she thought as she came into step with the other girl an, emotionless expression on her face. People were buzzing this way and that on the street and Mary found herself glaring at a few that came to close for comfort to her.
The three steeped into the ice cream parlour and Phoebe announced that they had arrived. Mary rolled her eyes, said, “no really? I thought we had another mile before we got to the shop”, and took a seat at the nearest booth. “So what is everybody getting?” Mary asked looking at the list of flavours already sitting on the table. She then plopped her things down beside her and scooted over to make more room.

Jasmine looked at the two girls and grinned. She never been with two Slytherins before and seh was lukcy she wasnt being picked one. Walking out of the store Jasmine followed behind the girls not saying a word. She was a rather shy girl when it comes to making new friends and going to special that she wasnt sure about. The streets were really bussy with people running all over the place trying to get in there last mintute shopping. Sighing Jasmine tucked same hair behind her ears and a sweet meoldy of the Panio played in her mind. She really wonted to continue to play and sing music was just her life and passion. Smiling she started to run some words over in her mind. "The sun dont shine no more but my heart fills with the darkness now." Jasmine thought in her mind and frowned as it did not sound good.
Entering the store Jasmine looked around for a free booth smiling she took a seat towards the window and took out a menu and scanned it over. There were so many choices for her to make and how could she just make one. Jasmine had a big sweet tooth and loved the sweet sugary taste of candy. Smiling she placed her menu down and looked up at Mary who had asked what they were geting. "Well a sundae sounds good to me but maybe the double chocolate foudge sounds betters." Jasmine said looked off into space and wondering what to get. She couldnt get both and decied to go with the double chocolate fudge. Jasmne than grabbed her stomach as it started to growl. "Wow good timing too." Jasmine said and laughed softly and loked at the younger girls.

Phoebe smirked at Mary and said, "Had to announce it for the kiddies..."
She sat down across from Jasmine and looked at the menu as well. So many choices and Phoebe loved sweets. She raised an eyebrow at Jasmines happiness and laughed to herself.
She scanned the menu wondering what she herself would get. She bit her lip slightly. "Um... I think I'll get the double fudge brownie sundae..."
She looked at Mary and tilted her head to the side slightly. "What will you be ordering...?"

Mary was about to smile when Jasmine started talking about what she wanted to order; but she then remembered that she is being a Slytherin and kept her face expressionless. Phoebe then announced her plans to get a double chocolate fudge sundae as well and asked Mary what she wanted. “I think I will get a cappuccino ice cream sundae with a brownie.” Mary announced apathetically then signalled to a waitress that they were ready to order.
At the signal a small woman walked up to the group. She had on a muggle pair of jeans and a muggle shirt with an apron overtop that had a picture of a dripping ice cream cone on it. “What can I get you dears?” the woman asked in a kindly voice with a wide smile on her face.
Mary looked the girl up and down appraisingly with an empty stare on her face. “I will have a sundae with cappuccino ice cream and a brownie on the side along with a diet coke.” Mary stated indifferently then gave the others the same emotionless stare as she waited for them to order.

Jasmine looked at the two girls and smiled as they seemed to have the same taste buds as her. Taking out her note book from her shoulder bag she opened it up and started to write down some lyrics. Jasmine was a very magical person and loved to write many songs in her note book. She also wrote some stories and little enteries about what happen that day. Putting her pencil to her mouth she started to think. But nothing came to mind so she started to write some poems. Smiling she pushed back her hair and loked up at the waitress who came to take there order. After Mary had gone Jasmine smiled and lokoed up at the older women, "I would like the double fudge superme please and a glass of water." Jasmine told her with a smile and went back to her note book.
Crossing her legs Jasmine strred off into space and started to think of what to write. Smiling as words came into mind she started to write down some veres to her lyrics. Humming to herslef lightly she realy wonting to play the panio. Puting the pencil down she looked up at the girls and waited for Phoebe to take her order.

Phoebe raised an eyebrow at Mary. She seemed to be acting offly... odd. She wondered why but said nothing and smirked at the waitress.
"Should I be nice... or should i be a snob? Nice or snob? Snob or nice?" Phoebe thought to herself.
"I would like a double fudge brownie sundae." Phoebe said with a smirk. She looked at the other girls and decided that she HAD to be a little brat...
"Oh, and make sure the brownie is warmed a little bit because I don't want it to be all frozen, oh and don't take all day with the order. We have places to go... people to see..." Phoebe said to the waitress with a fake, sweet smile, "please...."
The waitress looked ready to glare at Phoebe but instead she merely forced a smile and nodded then walked off. Phoebe looked at Mary and Jasmine with a smirk.
"Couldn't help myself," she said then tilted her head to the side at Jasmine.
"What are you writing? Looks like lyrics to me... I like music and drawing. I even like poerty and stuff like that," Phoebe said then she turned her attention towards the emotionless Mary.
"Did you see a ghost or something? Oh, wait is it because you are trying to test out different emotions on your face and you are testing out the empty face. If so, you're doing a good job," Phoebe said to her.

Mary then glanced over at Jasmine who had begun writing something. She was about to inquire as to what it was when Phoebe beat her to it. Before Jasmine had answered though the two girls gave their orders. Mary looked at Phoebe with that same blank expression as before while the girl ordered. The only emotion she showed was to roll her eyes, as Phoebe was being extremely fussy with sarcastic pleases and said she couldn’t help it.
When she was finished ordering Phoebe asked Mary if she had seen a ghost or if she was simply trying and failing at a blank expression. “Well I am obviously not failing else you would not have known what I was doing.” Was Mary’s retort said in a very indifferent tone. “Now lets try wry amusement.” She said smirking at Phoebe. “How’s that?” Mary then asked her in a condescending tone.
Very seldom did Mary play the part of the cliché Slytherin outside the common room; but when she did she went all the way. Mary continued to smirk as she picked up a book out of her purse and began to read.
