Kris carried the little puppy, who had turned out to be a husky after Kris had washed him through Diagon Alley, ignoring the looks sent his way. It wasn’t a very regular sight to see a wizard or a witch – especially if they were pure-blooded – in the company of a dog. He would certainly not be allowed to keep the puppy at Hogwarts so Kris would take the pup back to Italy before returning to school. Right now Kris would have to feed the small creature first though, which wasn’t really a very simple feat as the puppy was still too weak so Kris had to practically feed him. “How on earth did I get stuck with you?” Kris muttered to the animal, who seemed to gotten used to him, even though the pup was still wary of other people.
Kris entered the Leaking Cauldron and ordered some milk and meat, cut into small pieces from the barkeeper Tom who was quick and happy to fulfill his order while Kris shrugged off his cloak and sat at a table in the back and ina rather private area, where he was shielded from any casual glance while still holding the pup in his arms. Kris tried to get the pup to eat, but the small animal, who was obviously under-fed and beaten just whined, making Kris groan as he dipped his two fingers into the milk and held them in front of the pup. Kris had a good enough voice – a bit rough sounded, but it suited Kris’s character and it sounded pretty well. Kris had also noticed that it usually calmed animals as well as other people from time to time, so he sang to the puppy quietly enough to not disturb others. Or to not draw too much attention to himself, which ever way that could be looked at: “Don't want a four leaf clover Don't want an old horse shoe Want your kiss 'cause I just can't miss With a good luck charm like you
Come on and be my little good luck charm Uh-huh huh, you sweet delight I want a good luck charm a-hanging on my arm To have, to have, to hold, to hold tonight
Don't want a silver dollar Rabbit's foot on a string The happiness in your warm caress No rabbit's foot can bring
Come on and be my little good luck charm Uh-huh huh, you sweet delight I want a good luck charm a-hanging on my arm To have, to have, to hold, to hold tonight
If I found a lucky penny I'd toss it across the bay Your love is worth all the gold on earth No wonder that I say
Come on and be my little good luck charm Uh-huh huh, you sweet delight I want a good luck charm a-hanging on my arm To have, to have, to hold, to hold tonight.”
The puppy had started licking off the milk as Kris fed him and even swallowed some pieces of meat, while Kris rather fondly stroked it’s head and scratched behind his ears. Animals always seemed to be drawn to him – even mrs.Norris sometimes seeked shelter from Kris, when some student tried to hex her. But animals also seemed to bring out the best in Kris – his heart would never let him abandon a helpless or a hurt animal, as weird as such characteristic might be for a Slytherin. And this small husky was no exception. “You don’t even have a name yet, you still look like hell and at first meeting you tried to bite me, when I came to help and now you got me to feed you? You’re a clever little fellow, aren’t you?” Kris told the pup with a small smile on his face that seemed to soften his features.

Ashley made her way down the street with a dog bag in hand. Sweetie was in the litter carrier and sounds asleep ever since the beginning of the walk. Ashley told her mother that she was going to go to Dagon Ally with Elina to collect some supplies. But Elina would must obviously adventure off to a boring store and leave Ashley as bored as heck. Sighing Ashley looked at a store mirror to her right and saw her reflection. Her long brown hair was in pony tail braids and her blue eyes sparkled under the afternoon sun. Her skin tone was white as a ghost and a few freckles were gathered in bunches on her face. A sweet smile spread across her face as she continued her way towards the Leaky Cauldron. It was not time to look in the mirror but to just relax and let Elina find books.
The two girls walked into the pub greeted with a blast of warm air. Taking off her heavy yellow jacket, Ashley put it on a coat rack and looked at Elina for instructions. "Ash met me here at this spot in two hours. That is at 4:00 PM. Mom wants us home by 6 to eat dinner and head over towards the restaurant." her big sister said with a motherly hug and walked out into the busy streets of Diagon Ally. Walking over towards the front counter, Ashley leaned on her elbows and waited for Tom to notice her. Ashley and Tom knew each other, since some of the costumers complained about her non-stop talking. Ringing the bell twice and almost a third time, a giant hand stopped her and smiled at her. "Now Ashley what have I told you about ringing the bell. Now what do you want to order?" he asked with a warm smile and waited for the young girls reply. Putting her hand on her chin, Ashley thought long and hard. She couldn't get anything to eat so a nice warm drink sounded good. "How about a warm hot chocolate and a bottle of water." Ashley said unzipping her purse bag and handing the man his money.
After a while of waiting, Ashley took out her dog Sweetie and held her in her arms. The fluffy Pomerian yawned and snuggled against her owner. Tom finally arrived with her order and sent her away. Rolling her eyes, Ashley took the mug and bottle and headed towards the back so no one would bother her and Sweetie. Most wizarding families never seen a muggle dog and always asked Ashley questions. Like where it came from? And roots origins. Ashley would simply ignore than and walk off. She cared about her dogs and never judged them by their breed or origins, but by their heart and how they act.
Walking down the isle, Ashley noticed a little Huski dog and a boy holding it. Right away she ran over towards them and sat down across from the boy with a grin on her face. "I love your dog! I have my own right here too. Her names Sweetie and I love her to death. I had her since a puppy when I found her on the streets. Her mother was a stray and got caught by the dog people. I don’t know what they are called but some muggles take dogs to the pound where they live out the rest of their days." Ashley said petting Sweetie as she looked at the dog in front of her. Barking softly she wagged her tail and stood her ground. IT wasn’t like Sweetie to ever disobey Ashley and only allowed to go around on her masters orders. "Ohh... My names Ashley. I forgot my manners there for a moment. But I always forget things and talk a lot. What’s your name? Are you a pureblood? I can tell because you are giving your dog meat when they need dog Keppel’s." Ashley finally said smiling and taking a sip of her hot chocolate.

Kris looked up with the familiar mask of emotionless on his face as some overly-bubbly girl ran towards the table he was sitting and sat down speaking all the time. Kris didn’t really understand people who were so happy or so over-joyed. They irritated him a bit, but as the girl was already there, Kris refrained from a biting comment. “I will not feed him muggle dog-foods,” Kris sneered – a comment like that grated his nerves, “In Italy my house-elves will create a special diet for him, from where he gets all the required nutrients. But I absolutely refuse to use muggle dog-food.”
Kris had the makings of Slytherin house all in him, even though hsis last comment made him sound more against-muggles than he actually was. Kris even had some muggle-friends and a TV, radio, telephone, cars, a computer and some other muggle-devices at home. He found them interesting and useful a lot of times.
Guessing that saying he was a pure-llood wasn’t really necessary after that kind of a statement, Kris just smoothened the fur on the Husky’s head before leaning forward a little and letting the girl’s dog – Sweetie was it? Sniff his hand, before he scratched her briefly behind it’s ears: “Dog-catchers hunt stray dogs. And with a right.” Kris turned his head a little and raised his hand, and received a cup of steaming and strong espresso from Tom a moment later. Slowly taking a sip of his drink Kris observed Ashley with a shielded look, evaluating her in his mind. “You must be a Hufflepuff,” Kris stated rather coldly as he petted the Husky and watched guardedly as the two dogs sniffed at each-other, before the Husky settled back under his petting hand. Kris was so much petting gently, but he had a firmness in his movements, even though it wasn’t hurting the pup. It rather seemed to assure the dog in his safety, as Kris took one more sip before glancing at his watch – he still had 3 hours to pass before leaving for the airport. “Kris,” Kris stated calmly his name, not adding anything else to the word.

"Jeely kly! I was just saying that muggle dog food has all the victims and nutrients a dog needs to stay healthy and grow. I was there with puppies, there cute at first but a little annoying to my mother and Elina. Once Shadow went to the bathroom on Elina's shoes. Woh man was she mad! He...But Elina would never hurt him. Or else I will tell daddy!" Ashley said smiling and petting her sweet little dog in her hand. Turning Sweetie around her muscled her nose against her dogs and closed her eyes and giggled. "I love my dogs to death! I don't get why my mom and Elina hate them. Well Elina hates horses also. No she is afraid of them. Yeah afraid...But her friend is making her ride when ever she can. There’s this really cute pony that’s all white and so curly on Maria's farm. He's name is Denise, and I love that pony so much. He is so much like me. He is a trouble maker and always high temper. No wait.....I am not high temper. Well sometimes I guess but that’s only if something really ticks me off." Ashley said smiling and taking a drink of her hot chocolate and setting Sweetie down on the chair of the both.
Taking out a little plastic bowl she set it down on the both, opened the bottle of water, and than purred the liquid in the ball. Sweetie barked softly and made that cute little noise in her throat. Smiling Ashley looked at the boy who introduced himself as Kris and nothing more. "Is your last name Green? Stone? Hart? Callaghan? Come on man a first name and a last. Hello simple introduction!" Ashley said trying to copy Kris's attitude. Smiling, she leaned back more in the seat of the both and turned her head to the right to look at the red wooden wall. Something like starring off into space always seemed to keep the little fourth year occupied and not so bored. Some people made fun of Ashley for always being so hyper. But it wasn’t her fault, and at times she could be serious but no one wanted to see that side. Sighing Ashley turned back towards Kris and waited for his attitude to erupt.

Kris just blinked towards Ashley as she went off into a rant about what one of her dogs. Kris didn’t really understand why she had chosen him to be the one hearing all this, especially since she had never seen the girl before. He didn’t even know that Elina girl Ashley was talking about. So Kris just raised an ironic eye-brow and let her babble on. “I offer free advice very rarely, but you seriously need to cut back on chocolate and sugar,” Kris commented dryly with a rather pointed look towards Ashley’s cup of chocolate. “And my last name is Graas, should it tell you anything. And if we are already talking of politeness, then you never gave your own last name either,” Kris smirked measuring Ashley with his eyes. In a way the girl was amusing – at least to some point. Kris could never be accused of being social, so he wondered how quickly her behavior would get on his nerves.
Kris smirked at Ashley: “And if that was you trying to act like me, then I have to tell you that you failed. And miserably.” Leaning forward Kris let the dog by her side sniff his hand, but pulled his hand back before the dog that had been with Ashley could lick it. Petting the husky on his lap Kris wondered whether or not there was some private table available. Then again – he had been at the table first. So Kris just observer Ashley without saying a word waiting to hear what the girl had to say. Did she have some specific reason because of what she joined Kris or was she just… Kris didn’t even know a fitting word to describe the hyper girl, so he just settled back and watched to see which way things would turn.
