It was a nasty sunday morning. The sun was covered with dark gloomy clouds and rain came down drizziling over the occupants of Diagon alley. There weren't alot of people wlaking around most had stayed home or taken cover from the rain in shops. Cedric walked down the brick roads with his hood high over his head hiding his face. His black cloak swept behind him as he walked down the streets. Cedric looked into a shop window as he passed and saw two very young kids pretending to duel. "Fools." Cedric said coldly as he walked. When he came to the turn into Knockturne alley he looked both ways then strolled in.
Cedric wasn't a stranger to Knocturne alley but lately had to be careful where he walked alone because of the many threats he had been receiving from various people. As he walked he saw a few wizards try to peak into his hood to see who he was. Cedric just kept walking until he got to a alley that had a dead end. Turning into the alley Cedric walked to the end and waited. Looking at his watch Cedric said "4:05". With an angered look on his face he looked up at the opening to see a gray haired man walking towards him holding something under his cloak. "Your late." Cedric said angrily looking up from under his hood.
"Please Mr. Wood, I was a little late. You are lucky I came at all there are many people who don't want me associating with you at all." the man said scared. Cedric started the man in the face and said "Well who are you more scared of, them or me?" The man didn't answer but just looked at Cedric. Cedric looked at the man and said "Did you bring the Johberknoll feathers and the book?" The man brought a book wrapped in paper and a jar filled with feathers. "Good job Kavery." Cedric said pleased. "It's gonna cost you 100 galleons." the man said gulping. "The deal was for 50." Cedric said angrily. "Yes but it was harder than I thought getting them here." the man said.
In the blink of an eye Cedric whipped his wand out and pointed it at the mans throught. "No I will pay you 50 and you wont die." Cedric said in a angry voice. "Yes yes 50 will do." the man said scared. Cedric gave the man a pouch and took the book and the jar. "Now get out of here." Cedric hissed. The man practicly ran away as Cedric stuck the jar in a pocket and the book under his arm. Cedric walked out of Knocturne alley and into Diagon alley and as he turned he heard someone call his name.

Tristian sat in the common room next to the fire. Her head filled with thoughts of the letter her brother had sent her. She still wasn't sure what to do should she become like her twin a muggle hater and ideal Slytherin or should she keep her values and morals and say screw him screw them all. "Maybe becoming more Slytherin wouldn't be such a bad thing. I mean I don't have to become completely like him maybe just less like myself for a while." She said to her pet cat Tristan who was sitting next to her. Tristan just looked away from her and at the fire. "Some help you are." She said pushing the cat out of the chair.
She wondered who she should talk to or go to that would help her become more Slytherin more like her brother. The only people that came to mind were Dawn McGrogan and Cedric Wood. Both of them reminded her strongly of her brother. She'd never talked to either of them but she set off to find one of them to see if they'd help her. If they did then great she was one step closer to loosing herself and if they didn't well she'd deal with that later.
Grabbing her cloak she set off to find them. While she was at Hogsmede looking to see if anyone had seen them she heard Cedrics name mentioned. It was some Gryffindors and they were talking about how he was at Diagon alley probably trying to buy some illegal stuff. Tristian grinned and left before they could tell that she had been there.
Once she was at Diagon alley she began searching around. 'If I were the ideal Slytherin where would I be?' She thought passing a shop where children were pretending to duel. "I know Knocturn Alley!" she exclaimed setting off in the right direction. As she neared Knocturn Alley her stomach began to twist with knots. Maybe this was a bad idea. Maybe she shouldn't try and become someone she wasn't. 'Well it's not like I have to become completely like them just more like them.' She reassured herself. Looking ahead she noticed a figure immerge from Knocturn alley holding something. It was now or never. "You are Cedric Wood are you not?" She asked walking up to him

Cedric turned his head looking at the person who had called him. Keeping his hood up Cedric said "It depends on who's asking." Looking at the girl Cedric suddenly noticed her as a fellow fifth year Slytherin. Putting his hood down Cedric said "Oh it's just you Tristian." Looking around Cedric was a little jumpy by her calling him. They really didn't talk much and She didn't have the biggest reputation for being the purest Slytherin in the school. Thinking that this might be a sting by the ministry Cedric was cautious as he talked to Tristian. "So what did you want?" Cedric asked pulling the book farther back behind his cloak.

((Do you mind me joining, still getting into Dixie mode.))
There was a fine line between love and hate. Light and dark. Good and evil. A millimeter over the line and you could be sucked in forever. That line existed in the wizarding world as well. Though, some people were born totally in the dark, totally in the light, or in between. In the gray area. Others weren't born at all. Dix was born in the gray area. And smoothly made her way to total darkness and isolation. She was pure evil. When wanted. There were times that Dixie believed this was why she was placed in Slytherin; not because her parents were pureblood as well. But, because she had the ability to be cruel and evil in one twist. There were days that these thoughts clouded her mind so much it was like a foggy morning in there. Today was one of those days.
Dixie wasn't a serious thinking type of girl, she never spent her time in deep thought. She would rather just sit and read on Animagi. Practicing to become one herself, Dix figured she should spend most of her free time reading up on the ability. Not much thinking involved in reading and processing the data in which her eyes devoured. Not much at all. Which is why Dix was making her way to Knockturne Alley to find a special book for Animagus study. Diagon Alley had some good books, but Dix had been through most of them. It just so happened that Knockturne had much more darker and in depth books than Diagon. And for that reason alone, did Dix like Knockturne. For any other reason, she wouldn't set foot in that alley. Too dreary for her taste. Just because she was a Slytherin did not mean she had to be depressed and dark.
Dix turned into the entrance to Knockturne and breathed in heavily, not really sure that she wanted to journey any further. Despite her gut feeling, Dixie stepped in and made her way down the dark alley. Her green silk lined cloak blew behind her as she walked down the alley. Her hands wringing together, she wasn't liking having to walk through the Alley. The wind blew her hood off her head, and she cursed herself mentally before pulling it back up. She wasn't looking where she was going, and she bumped into someone. Though she didn't stay long enough to find out who. Dixie entered the nearest shop. Took one look around, and left aprubtly. She didn't want to spend too long in that place. She closed the door swiftly behind her and looked to the sunlight at the end of the alley.
Nearly running, she forgot about the books, and made her way to Diagon Alley. Dixie was walking down the street, looking over her shoulder as she did, and again ran into someone. Her hood fell off her head, and she put her hand to the top of her head as if to say she was surprised, "Pardon." She muttered. She lifted her head to see who she had run into, "Hey, don't I know you from somewhere?" Dix's voice was sincere and she wondered why this person looked so familiar.

Tristian was relieved that she had found the person she was looking for. Cedric however didn't seem to be to happy to see her. In fact he seemed almost nervous. She couldn't fathom why as she was pretty much a nobody. Then she noticed him pull something farther behind his back. It was probably something he didn't want known and that was why he seemed nervous. She almost wanted to ask him what it was he was hiding but decided against it as it wouldn't get her what she wanted.
She started to tell him what she wanted but stuttered to a halt. What was she supposed to say I want to become more Slytherin. That sounded stupid and he'd probably just laugh. The sudden appearance of a girl didn't make it any easier. Well she had to say something just standing there made her look stupid. Tristian took a deep breath. "See it's like this. I want...no need to become more Slytherin and I figured that since you're pretty much as Slytherin as it gets that maybe you could help me. But if you don't want to that's okay too."

Dix didn't get a greeting, instead; a girl spoke. Saying something about wanting to become more Slytherin. Dix wondered if she meant "cliche Slytherin." That would make much more sense. This girl seemed timid. Awkward. And Dix knew what to do. She had practice in the area of getting someone out of their shell. Becoming into their house. Considering she had to do it to herself. A smile glittered Dix's face as she draped her arm casually over the girl's shoulder, "Besides; if he doesn't want to help. I can. Actually, I think I might help anyway. And if you have a problem with that, tough, because I'm doing it anyway." She told her with a sincere look in her eyes.
"Now, lesson one; fashion is everything!" Dix stated in a serious tone of voice. By the stares she got from them, Dix looked around, "What?! Do you see the Queens wearing...out of date stuff? Trust me, once you get into the fashion it will be loads easier. Just- trust me!" Dix smiled again. Not really sure if anyone should trust her. She shoved that thought away instantly and with anothe brilliant smile she led the way to a clothing store.
((sorry for the g-moding.))

Cedric listened to Tristian as she said she wanted to become more Slytherin. Cedric let out a pewny laugh and said "Being Slytherin isn't taught, your born with it." Cedric turned to walk away but saw another girl walk up to them. He had seen her from their house also. Cedric stopped to hear what she had to say. When she started going on about fashion and everything Cedric laughed loudly. "Yeah that's it." Looking at Tristian Cedric said "If you want to become more Slytherin than you need to have power and confidence. If people know that you aren't afraid to throw a spell their way they will be scared of you."
Cedric looked at Dixie and said "It doesn't matter what clothes you are wearing, as long as you have confidence. And besides the Queens aren't the highest group in the Slytherins anymore. Theres a new group in town." Cedric said this and then looked at Tristian. She knew what group there was she was in it.

Dixie sent Cedric a deadly glare, and her wand came out. She thrusted it up against his throat and she hissed, "Let me tell you something. Fashion is confidence. If someone feels like they are high and mighty, they are high and mighty. You wouldn't feel so hott yourself if you weren't wearing what you are wearing. So before you go chatting your head off about something you don't know anything about, shut up and listen to what I have to say," She then withdrew her wand. Tucked it away. But, she didn't back off.
"Oh, and that new group, the Chosen is it? Is just a wanna-be group. The Queens could beat them anyday. You aren't really that secret, and blackmailing someone? Come off it, Cedric. Come on, get off your high horse. That group, is nothing compared to the Queens and you know it." Dix scowled. She had let only a little bit of her full Slytherin potential slip out. She smiled evilly and turned back to the girl, "As I said. Fashion equals confidence. And by the way," She shot Cedric another deadly glare, "You can learn to be a Slytherin. I did."

Tristian looked from Dixie to Cedric. They were both telling her two completely different things but both seemed to make a point. Cedric was saying that you could not learn to be Slytherin that you were born with it. If that was the case then she should by all rights be Slytherin as her entire family was about as Slytherin as it came. The only thing stopping her was her very skewed morals. That and she was lacking the whole confidence thing she had never been very confident in herself but she was sure she could change that. Then he mentioned the Queens of Slytherin being shown up by another group. Tristian smiled at this she was in that other group and that actually gave her a lot of confidence. This whole change thing should be a breeze.
Then things took a turn for the worse. Apparently what Cedric had said offended the girl for she drew out her wand and held it to Cedrics throat. Instantly Tristian had her own wand out pointed at the girl ready to strike if neccessary. It wasn't neccessary however for the girl ended up putting hers away. Tristian kept hers out, she wasn't sure how well Cedric would take to being threatened and she wanted her wand out just in case things started to get ugly. When the girl started dissing on the Chosen Tristian frowned at her. "Actually I think the Queens and the Chosen are pretty evenly matched. If a fight were to arise between the two groups it could go either way."

"Please. The Queens are sixth and seventh years. Do you know how many years of magic they have behind them? Kori, one of my good friends, is one of the Chosen. Then again. Kori jumps at any chance. So you can't really take her word for it. Let me tell you something, you think you're a match for the Queens? Go ahead, go ask for a meeting with Pansy, Samantha, Saski. Just do it. The Chosen and the Queens are not evenly matched. And if you think they are, you are seriously screwed up in the head." Dixie remarked to Tristian. Her voice was venemous, and she knew she could harm Tristian in a moments notice. But, she wouldn't.
"I give the Chosen, two months tops. Before the Queens tear them down. Or the group falls on it's own. Especially if things are run by,"Dix looked at Cedric, "you. Now, if you excuse me. I have places to go, better people to see." She walked away, pulling her hood on over her head. She stopped, though, and turned once more. Her eyes boring into Tristian, "A real Slytherin wouldn't be caught dead in a group such as the Chosen. If you're trying to proove to somebody you're a Slyth don't ask from help from him. He's just someone who has control issues." Dixie smiled evilly and walked down the streets towards a store.

Cedric smiled as Dixie pulled ou ther wand and so did Tristian. Dixie scolded him up one side and down the other. Laughing Cedric looked at her and said "I think someone is a little obsessed with the Queens. I to have freinds in the Queens and I know what magic they have. But the Queens and Chosen are not battling for top spot in the Slytherin house but sit at the top not worried about the other. We have two different things in mind. Also the chosen have a large potential. I know magic and I know what we have. As for you I think that you are jealous becasue you aren't good enough for the queens." Cedric watched as Dixie walked away. "Ok Tristian if you are willing to listen I can help you." Cedric said looking at her.

Tristian glared at Dixie as she started dissing on the Chosen. It was obvious she wanted to be a Queen. The way she talked about them you'd think they were gods or something. Cedric said so to the girls face. She was secretly glad when he said that the Chosen and the Queens weren't battling for the top spot. She'd fight the Queens if necessary but she wasn't really in the mood to get into a territory battle at the present moment. Tristian yawned as the girl called her all sorts of names and dissed on her. Tristian wasn't one to let words bother her now if things got physical then she'd act until then she was just waiting to see if she was going to get help from Cedric or not. As the girl left Cedric looked at her and told her if she was willing to listen that he'd help. "Oh I'm willing alright. I'm ready to do whatever I have to."
