Raven looked around this place called Diagon Alley. There were so many new sites. Like the witches carrying broomsticks. Witches actually rode broomsticks? She thought that only happening in movies. And was that a talking cat? Yes, yes it was. Oh, she was more lost than she had ever imagined she would be. Okay, she needed to concentrate. What did she need? Robes, but where could she find robes? Raven looked aroung helplessly. Oh, she wished someone would come by and point her in the right direction.

Alaizabel was walking the streets of Diagon alley, her usual long elegant stride, and her black robe made entirely out of silk with a hood over her head. Yes the sun was out, Alaizabel hated it, for fear it might ruin her perfect pale complexion.
She had a good day, then again someone like her always did. Holding her head high, she continued walking, when suddenly, she felt a jolt and her hood came off, and she fell to the ground. "What the devil?" She said rubbing her behind and looking up at the culprit.

"Oh, I am sorry. Really," Raven apologized. Her first day and she was already stepping on people's cloaks-literally. She looked up at her victim. She was tall and looked confident. This made Raven shrink back even more. Raven cowered under the height of this girl. Though she was the same height as Raven, she seemed much taller. "My name is Raven," she offered shyly.

((BTW: Alaizabel is a slytherin and is pureblood, if you get my drift, you're character is in for a thrashing, have fun )) Alaizabel looked down upon the small girl. She stared at her, and her eyes began to fill with rage. Her pale complexion turned a bit pink. "You filthy LITTLE mudblood, how dare you, how dare you touch me, how dare you even look at me, HAH apology NOT accepted. Mudblood's like you are always getting in my way. How dare you, place yourself upon me LIKE THAT!!!" She said witha high voice, catching the attention of many people. "And I don't give a devil what you're name is! G-Get out of my site Mudblood! GET OUT NOW!!" Alaizabel yelled as she glared her icy cold stare at the girl.

"Oh, well,um," Raven tried to speak, but her tongue had failed her. She was frozen in place. Never had she met someone so, so mean. She turned away slowly and began to walk away. Oh, no. She had just got to Hogsmeade and had already made an enemy. I should have just stayed home. She looked over her shoulder to see if this girl was still glaring. What is a mud-blood, she wondered and was she one?

Allista had been walking around Diagon Alley, peering here and there, looking for things that were worth buying. When she heard an all too familiar voice. She rushed towards it. Her Dark blue robe rippling behind her. And her white sandels hitting the floor. SHe stopped at the source and saw the one and only cousin yelling at a little girl, no doubt a mudblood.
Allista clicked her tongue, "Alaizabel Alaizabel, why must you make complications?" She muttered to herself, shaking her head. She saw that Alaizabel had told the girl off, and she was walking in her direction. Quickly, Allista stepped up and introduced herself. "Hello young one, I am Allista Cray, I am dreadfully sorry about what my cousin has just done." She said in a calm voice. She took the girl's hand and placed a leather pouch in it. It held money. Allista patted the girls hand and said, "A token for my apologies, and on my dear cousin Alaizabel's behalf." She said, in her still calm voice. She stood up, brushing her curly red hair back, and looking at the enraged Alaizabel

Her cousin? There was no way. There could be no connection between these two. The first girl, she had yet to learn her name, and Allista were far too diferent. And what was this pouch in her hand. She opened it to find some strange tokens inside. Was this some sort of joke, or was this their money? She looked over to find the first girl enraged while the other talked so sweetly and calmly. No, they were not cousins, there was no way. Raven stood and stared in astonishment.

allista looked back at Raven, "Well sweetheart, do you need help with anything." SHe said kindly. Allista was the probably the kindest cray to ever live, and maybe the last. ANd she was the most mature, well compared to Alizabel.
"well anything you need help with?"

Speechless after still recovering from the tongue lashing she had recieved from Allista's cousin, she handed Allista her Hogwarts list of firt year supplies.
"I'm not sure where to buy these things. I've never been here before and I don't no anyone. I would appreciate it very much if yo would help me," Raven told her. She had a feeling this girl would help her. She had a kind smile and seemed very friendly. Especially compared to her cousin.

((Yeah, Allista is what you would consider the lighter side of Aliazabel, though she does have her mean spot and she's short tempered))
Allista took the sheet and held it in her long delicate fingers. She was pale too, but not as pale as Alaizabel, her green eyes glinted in the sun, and she flicked her curly brown hair. Truely a wonderous beauty she held.
"Well first let's get your robes, you can get that at Madam Malkin's, come on" She said begining to walk. Her long elegant strides we're very similar to Alaizabel's. "Let's see, you want to get a good dozen from there." Allista said, "So how much money do you have on you?" She added

Raven walked briskly to catch up to Allista. She pulled out about $100 worth of muggle money.
"Is this enough?" She asked Allista. She hoped it would be. It was the only money her grandmother had given her, and she wasn't likely to send her anymore. She looked up at Allista and prayed she had enough. She didn't want to embarrass herself and Allista seemed to have a lot of money.
"Or do I need to exchange it for some of these?" Raven said as she held up the pouch Allista had handed her.

Allista stared at the muggle money with a raised eyebrow. "Bringing muggle money to the wizarding world?" She said in a flat voice, she didn't want to waste time by going to Gringotts then back, "Look I'll pay for your stuff, no problems." She said, "Now let's go" She added as she quickened her pace.
She had more important manners to attend to that to care for a little mudblood. She thought in her head, a cruel thought, but it was the truth.

Raven ran after Allista. Was she not suppose to use this money? Why not? Oh, well, she would pay her back.
"I'll pay you back after I've exchanged all my money, I promise," she swore to Allista. Then they entered the robe shop. All these different robes. How would she decide?
"Which do you suggest?" Raven asked.

Allista eyed Raven, she was defintily new to the wizarding world. When they entereed the shop, she stared at RAven again with a raised eyebrow
"Uh Madam Malkin, Madam Malkin, Madam Malkin, I Allista CRAY need assistance." She said harshly. She finally grasped the witches attention and smiled. "Yes I need you to find a robe that fits this young lady, Raven Black please, get her 2 dozen." She finished
Madam Malkin nodded and grabbed Raven by the arm and stood her on a stool, and began taking measuremtns.
Allista appeared a few minutes later, "I doubled the amount of robes you need because it's always good to have more, Raven Black is made out of the finest cotton too. Oh and Raven dear, don't worry about money, I think I have enough." She finished and smiled. "No Madam Malkin, make the sleeves longer and wider." Allista said as she watched Madam Malkin take measurements.

Madam Malkin grabbed her by the arm and thrust her on a stool. She immediately started measuring her arm leghth and waste width. She had no idea shopping could be this painful, she thought, as she rubbed the sore arm where Madam Malkin had grabbed her.
"Thank you, Allista. I would have been lost if you hadn't come along," Raven said,"but do you really think I'll need two dozen. Afterall, it seems like a lot of money to spend on someone you just met."
((How rich is Allista?))

((Just think, Pureblood generation, The Cray's are a wealthy family. They pratically drown in wealth, you can find out about Allista on her webpage, he he, Allista's spoiling Raven )) Allista smiled, one thing down on the list. She paid for the 2 dozen robes and gave the bags to Raven, "Ok now what do you need?" She asked Raven.

"Well, I still need my books. The Standard Book of Spells, A history of magic, Magical theory, and Magical Beasts and where to find them. Oh, and some dragon hide gloves. My cauldron and a wand." Raven answered.

Allista sighed and walked out of the shop. "ok next stop Flourish and Blotts." She said talking long strides. When they reached the shop, Allista quickly walked up to the counter and slammed her hand on it, instantly the wizard looked up. "M-Miss Cray, you startled me there, how may i help you today." He said quickly, stepping from behind the counter. "Get the basic book first years need. And the best copies you have, not bent or anything like that." Allista finished placing her hand on the counter.

My, Raven thought, this girl certainly knows how to get what she wants. But Raven has no problem. Afterall, she was getting every thing she needed free.
"Do you know all the shop keepers personally? They seem to treat you very well," Raven said then remembered how well off the Cray family was. She must seem so stupid to someone like Allista. "Do I get my wand here too?"

Allista grinned a sly grin. "Dear raven, everyone knows the Crays." she said in a cocky voice. She stared at her again with her raised eyebrow, "dear girl you get that at ollivanders." she said. She turned around and paid for Raven's books and handed those to her, " now lets get that cauldron and dragonhide gloves." she said, again striiding out of the shop
