Eeylops Owl Emporium

[zanna]

The tapping and hooting of owls meet with Zanna's ears. She walked around the the shop, earlier, she had just tooken out a fair amount of moeny from Gringotts so that she could purchase and owl. Finally with her father's approval she could buy her very own owl. A little magic could finally be brought to her home. She smiled happily and continued walked. Peeking here and there poking there and here looking for the perfect owl.

The hooting continued, and still she couldn't find the perfect one. They all looked the same to her for some reason, none of them reached her satisfactories.

"Do you need help?" Asked a wizard.

Zanna turned around and smile up at a wizard, "No sir, I plan to find one myself." she said and continued searching. She was about to lose hope, when she gasped.

There in front of her was a brown owl, it was stationed in a dark corner, and was sleeping lazily under it's wing. She gawked at the owl and admired it's shiny brown feathers.

"Ah that one, she's not that great you know, kind of on the lazy side, also disobiedient." The wizard said, who had appeared out of nowhere.

Zanna snapped out of her gaze and looked back at the wizard. "I know he doesn't seem like much, but I think him adn I will be perfect for each other" see said smiling brightly.

"Very well dear, let me take him down for you." The wizard said moving towards the cage and taking it down. "Follow me". he said and walked towards the counter. He rang up the register and said, "20 galleons"

Zanna took out a small leather pouch and handed him the right amount of money. After paying, she took hold of the cage and walked out of the shop. She looked down at the owl who was still sleeping under her wing. Zanna smiled at it and said, "You know what, I'll name you Halina, because that was my mother's name, and your feathers remind me of her hair." Almost instantly, Halina woke up and looked up at Zanna, giving her an approving hoot. Zanna looked down at Halina, and stared at a pair of big sparkling eyes.

Ayumi decided to take a break from shopping today, she thought it would be nice to actually become familiar with the streets of Diagon alley. She had the jist of it, but she wanted to devote an entire day to exploring it. As she walked down the streets, the was surprised to see that it wasn't as crowded as usual, which was good, especially when she was adventuring. Ayumi stopped at a few street vendors and looked at the curious objects that lay on the carts. There was a jar with a finger in it, and a bowl with some pinkish bluish substance that was covered by some crystal glass. Ayumi had to refrain herself from touching the objects, and quickly made her way down the path.

She continued walking and found that she was in front of GrinGotts. she knew what lay inside, money, and her money was stashed somewhere in there too. And mind you, it was alot of money, courtesy of the Kimoto family of course. Ayumi walked passed it and continued making her way down the cobblestone path. After a few shops her and there, she was in front of Eeylops Owl Emporium. She was debating inside her mind if she should get something for Raven, but then completely lost it when she saw a familiar face walk out of the shop.

"Zanna!" Ayumi said enthusiastically. It was her alright, when her same bright smile and glittering eyes. "See you got yourself an owl" Ayumi said looking at the cage. "Geez not much of a looker now is she." Ayumi said, eyeing the owls ruffled feathers.

Zanna walked down the streets of Diagon Alley, casting looks at her brand new owl, as she did, she had a strange memory of her mother. When she was in the depth og her thoughts, she heard a familar voice calling from behind her. Startled, she turned around and saw that it was Ayumi. She smiled happy to see Ayumi again, after their visit at hogsmeade. "Hey Ayumi, hows things going for you, did you parents take the little "problem" well or not?" She said with a concerned look.

Zanna them looked down at her owl, "Her name's Halina, after me mom you know" She said smiling brightly "She may look scruffy, but I think she's perfect."Zanna said brightly. "Do you have an owl of your own." Said asked Ayumi

[Ayumi]

Ayumi took a look at Zanna's owl, she peered into the cage and stuck her fingetr inside, in an attempt to pet the owl. When she did, the owl instantly shot at her, and narrowly but her finger. Ayumi held her finger which had a little scratch. "Heh perfect, that owl's a little fiesty beast, by the way nice name." Ayumi added,"She'll probably tear your finger off when you try and tie a letter to it."

Ayumi rubbed her finger, and her and Zanna began walking together in the cobblestoned path. "Yep I've got an owl of my own, her name's Raven, black as the night she is, loyal too, had her since she was a baby, grown up together since." Ayumu added. Now letting go of her finger, and looking at Halina.

"Well I got quite a yelling from my mom, but I still got my wand back." Ayumi said, placing her hand in her pocket and clutching her wand. "'bout your dad? how'd he take it?"

Zanna held Halina's cage up as she let Ayumi inspect the owl. She turned around to watch a few witches and wizards pass by when her hand shook violently and Ayumi was cursing under her breathe. Zanna looked to see that Halina's feathers were even more ruffled, and that she looked mad. She looked at Ayumi who was holding her finger, and saw that it had a scratche that was bleeding. "Aye, Ayumi I'm sorry, didn't know that you two wouldn't meet off at a great start." She said giggling. She looked her Halina one last time, and her and Ayumi began walking.

"So you had yer owl for quite a while haven't you, nice name raven. I like it, hope to meet her, that is unless she attacks me, like little Halina did." She said with a sly grin.

The continued walking, passing flourish and blotts, ollivanders, and the quzlity quidditch shop. "Oo Me dad didn't take it so hard. He says that it was bound to happen. Everyone gets in trouble the first time, you know." She said smiling.

They wer nearing the laky cauldron now, and Zanna began to feel very hungry, "Aye Ayumi, will it be alright if we grab a bite, I'm starved." She said as she walked towards the leaky cauldron, Halina's cage swinging in her right hand.

Ayumi grunted at Zanna's giggles, that owl was not cool, and if Zanna thought her owl was the same, she was wrong. "No Zanna, Ayumi said sternly, Raven is a trained owl, she will only attack if I say so, otherwise she wouldn't try to bite someone's finger off 'cause they were trying to pet her." She finished, pushing her bang behind her ear.

"Well it's a good thing your father was cool about it." Ayumi said, she regretted that Zanna got involved, but things were looking good already. At least her father hadn't exploded, unlike Ayumi's mother.

She looked at the shops they passed by, people coming out of Flourish and Blotts bags full of books. Customers leaving the quality quidditch shop looking rather happy. And the empty ollivanders that stood in the corner. She smiled and clutched her wand again.

Then she heard Zanna asking if they could stop at the Leaky Cauldron. Ayumi didn't want to go, the fact that she had left it just a few minutes ago, but she was a bit hungry so she followed Zanna into the tavern.

Zanna heard Ayumi's tone of voice change, she guess that she had offended Ayumi, but she just shrugged it off, after all it was just a joke. "Aye Ayumi, but I still do wanna meet your owl, you know. Looking at Ayumi who's perfectly straight hair was in a ponytail and one bang pushed behind her ear.

"Well mate, let's get going to that grub" She said smiling both in hunger and in excitment. When she had reached the Leaky cauldron, she dropped Halina's cage in Ayumi's Arms. "Hold 'er for me." She said as she rush towards the counter and ordered a Cheeseburger with cheese fries. "Uh can you make that quick, but well done." She said at the witch who eyed her curiously. Zanna smiled and seated herself in across Ayumi who had already found them a table.

"Ayumi, school's almost coming on, you think yer ready for it." Zanna said in a hungry but controlled voice.
