It was about 10 o'clock on thursday morning. The sun shone through the window in room number 9 at the Leay Cauldron, making the dust lok like it was dancing around. Alex opened his eyes looking up at the ceiling. Alex was laying flat on his back and his hands on his chest. Alex smiled while he looked up and said to himself "It wasn't a dream. I really am a wizard." Alex was extremley excited to know that he was a wizard. This was his way out of it all. This is how he was going to get out of the orphanage and away from the bullys. Alex sat there for a few minutes thinking about being different form everyone else at the orphanage and being free. Then he decided it was time to get up.
Alex stood up and walked over to his dresser. Alex took out a pair of black pants and a blue shirt. Alex put them on and then grabbed a brand new robe he had bought the day before. Alex put it on and went and stood in front of a mirror. "Man this is going to be great" Alex said with a giant smile on his face. Then Alex walked over and picked his wand up off the table next to his bed. He had kept in it's box unless he was using it to practice the spells he was looking at in his books. Alex didn't know what he should do with his wand. He felt around his robes to see if there were pockets and to his delight there were some in the ussual place and one on the inside on the left side. Alex stuck his wand in that pocket and walked out of the room.
Alex walked down the stairs and into the pub. Alex was surprised at how many people were there. He went and sat down in a booth and picked up a menu. When a waitress came to him Alex said "Umm you guy's dont sell soda?" The woman looked at him and said "Lived in muggle London huh? Well what most kids get are butterbeers." Alex looked at her and said "Well I will take that and some pancakes." The woman left and Alex sat there looking around. He watched as a little girl walked by and dropped a galss. Alex pulled out his wand at this chance to practice and said "Reparo." The glass went back to normal and Alex smiled at the girl.
When the food arive Alex said thanks and opened the butterbeer. When he drank it Alex felt warm inside and was happy he had got it. Alex put syrup on his pancakes and started to eat them.

The sound of her owl hooting woke Ayumi. She opened her eyes slowly and saw that her owl was perched on top of her with a disgruntled look. Ayumi yawned and rubbed her eyes. Her owl still on top of her. It's black feathers ruffling and it's wide yellow eyes looking at her in anger. "What?" Ayumi said in a cracked voice. Then she remembered, "oh yeah your cage" She grinned and pet her owl. "Sorry 'bout that Raven, I just, well you know me." Raven hooted approvingly and began pecking at Ayumi's hair gently. Ayumi giggled, "he he I got my wand, yesterday Raven, Ollivander said it was made of maplewood, with the core of dragon heartstring, mean anything to you?" Raven hooted again. "Guess not."
Ayumi outstretched her hand and Raven landed on it, then she got out of bed and placed her on top of the bed post. "Gotta hit the showers, I'll get your food later, I promise." She said, heading towards the bathroom. She saw it was 9:40 am.
In the shower, she let the warm water jet onto her head, she felt much better now. And she was ready to do some more things around here.
When she was done, she got dressed and pulled on a pair of black pants and a collared shirt that was striped with red and white. She combed her hair out and pulled it up into a ponytail. Then she pulled on a pair of platform sneakers.
She smiled at her reflection and picked up her wand that lay on the dresser, I have a feeling I'll be needing you.
She made her way to the door and grabbed her long black robe. She swung it around her and placed her wand into the pocket.
"See you later Raven." She said cheerfully
Ayumi made her way down the stairs and towards the counter. "Good Morning Young one, waht would you like" A witch asked her. "Um I'll have a cup of warm tea with some egg and pancakes."Ayumi replied. "Right away" And the witch bustled towards the kitchen. Ayumi looked around for a place to sit and saw the boy that was in ollivanders yesterday. She made her way towards him and took a seat.
"Ah good-morn'n, your up too, how's it been?" She said smiley cheerfully

Alex was cutting his pancakes when he head someone talk to him. Alex looked up and noticed it to be the girl who had been at Olivanders yesterday. "Hey." Alex said looking at her. Alex wasn't ussually one to talk to people he didn't know alot. He thought it would be best if he tried to change though. "Yeah I got alot of sleep. How about you?" Alex said eating the last of his pancakes. Alex picked up his butterbeer and finished it off. "It's been good. I've just been hanging around here reading and practicing." Alex said looking at Ayumi. "What have you been doing?" Alex asked. He was sruprised at the way he acted. He had never talked to someone he didnt for this long in a while.

Ayumi listened to him intently, and watched he's eyes, as she read them clearly, she grinned to herself. Then her food arrived and she dug into it hastily. She thought to herself at how she acted, she was never usually like this. She was always hiding herself and would never actually walk up to someone like that. She shrugged that off, "Don't ruin a good day" she said to herself.
She gulfed down her pancakes and the started to pick at her eggs. When she was done, she took a long sip of her tea and finally looked up at the boy.
"You're a timid one aren't you" she said grinning "By the way I'm Ayumi, but I should have started off with that, anyway..." she paused for a second. "So you started studying too, I've been studying myself too, so far all I know are the spells Accio, Reparo, Wingardium Leviosa, Accio, and Reducto, not to be bragging" She said quickly.
She blushed because she knew she sounded a little cocky at that moment... she shrugged the feeling off and returned to her pale complexion. "So what's your history? What's your blood? What makes you so, how do I say this... shy? " Ayumi shut her mouth "ugh Stupid so many questions!" she said to herself and began blushing again

((OOC: Umm the accio and reducto are both fourth year spells. I dont think a first year could do them.))
Alex watched as Ayumi dug into her eggs. "Hungry?" he asked smiling. Then when she started to talk to him Alex felt strange. He wasn't used to talking to people so he wasn't sure what to say. "Yeah I am a bit timid." Alex said looking at Ayumi. Alex watched her attentivley and when she said she had been stufying to Alex said "Yeah I only Know Reparo, Wingardum Leviosa, and Alohamora." Alex saw her blush and he smiled. Then she asked about Alex's history and he hesitated.
"Well my hitory isn't much. My mom is dead and my dad in jail. I've lived at an orphanage since I was three." Alex said looking down. "Well from what I understand Im a half blood. My mom was a witch and my dad wasn't. And I guess why Im so shy is because of living at an orphanage." Alex said looking at Ayumi. This was only half true. He was so shy because he didn't have any freinds and was always picked on. "So what about you?" ALex asked "Whats your story?"

Liam walked into the Leaky Cauldron, where he saw Ayumi talking with another boy. Liam approached the two and said, "Hello, Ayumi. Who is this?" As Liam finished speaking, the waitress brought him his usuall butterbeer, which he thanked her for and paid for.

Ayumi looked up and saw Liam, she smiled and said, "Liam, you're here!" and pulled a chair for him, "Well this is Alex, hes also a first year, we're both getting aquainted here.

Ayumi listened to Alex, "Guess we're both ready for hogwarts" she said "knowing that we understand come basic spells."
Ayumi continued studying alex, "Well we're all a little timid, actually I'm not even suspposed to be talking to you, I mean, I'm not one to socialize, but here I am talking to you" She said with a smile.
"hm My history, well let's see, i'm a half-blood like you. My mom is a full witch, and my dad's a muggle. We moved from Japan to here, 'cause both my parents have some business to attend to. My mom and dad, well I'm not really close with them. 'cause their never home. My mom is always up to her witch duties, currently she's in holland. As for my dad he's in business, and well he's in America now. My home is is always so empty, and well to tell you the truth, I don't really have any friends, you would count as my first official one" she said with a sheepish laugh, "Well I guess that's all about me."

"So, Alex is it? What house are you in?" Liam asked the young first year. "I'm a Gryffindor, I'm a third year by the way." After he finished, Liam called for the waitress and asked for scrambled dragons egg and some bacon.

Zanna walked towards the Leaky Cauldron, making her way through a bustling crowd. She pushed through a group of men who were in their way. When she turned around to apologize, her eyes met with pair of angered looks. She looked at them and gave them the same icy stare. She turned around and flipped her light brown hair back and returned her face to a calm feature. Zanna wore a Dark blue robe with pair of blue jeans and a white shirt that had a pink bunny on it. She smiled to herself as she neared the pub.
Zanna finally reached the pub and was welcomed by the voices of many witches and wizards. Even in the morning the place was full. She looked around, and spotted a pair of Crimson eyes from across thew room. Instantly, she knew who it was. Making her way across the pub, she quickened her footsteps and finally reached the table.
She pulled out a chair and seated herself without asking and looked at Ayumi. "Ayumi! didn't know you were here, how are you?" She said brightly

Ayumi looked up and saw that Zanna had just taken a seat. When her eyes met with Zanna, she couldn't help but smile, remembering what had happened when the two had met at the Hog's Head.
"Zanna! I am great, fine, whatever, how are you, and what are you doing here so early." She said as she took her last bite into her eggs and gulped down her tea.
