Leah was at her house and had just woken up from a night of nice sleep. She slipped into her blue and sky blue slippers and went into the kitchen. "What's cooking ma?" Leah asked while sitting at the table, stretching. "Eggs and ham Sweetie." Leah's mother said while smirking. Leah heard Kyle crying. "I'll go get him, you make sure the eggs don't get burnt." Her mom said while walking to Kyle's room. After 15 minutes, Leah's mom came back with Kyle. She put him in his high chair and went to the stove. The eggs had just finished and Leah's mom took over. "Go get dressed." Carolina (Leah's mom) said. Leah walked upstairs, into her room. She put on a sky blue spaghetti strap shirt on, with a jean skirt. Leah walked into the bathroom and brushed her hair and teeth. Across the hall, in Kayla's room Leah her a thump. She walked over there with a side of hair crazy, and a side nice and straight. Kayla fell of the bed. Leah giggled and walked back to the bathroom. She finished and went down stairs to eat.
She finished eating and put her plate in the sink. She heard a knock at the door. Nobody else heard it. She opened the door and there was Andrew. "HI Andrew! Come on in." Leah said while stepping aside. "My family is just finishing up breakfast." Leah said while guiding Drew into the living room. "So what brought you here?" Leah asked while sitting on the couch. She offered a seat to him and waited for an answer.

Drew woke up early in the morning. He hadn't been sleeping real well the last few days. Something about the funeral had upset him. He didn't know what it was. Maybe it was the fact that he had never been to a funeral before. He hadn't had anyone in his life die. He had always lived a happy life. His parents were healthy, his siblings were healthy, everyone in his life was healthy and alive. It made him begin to feel that things weren't always going to last. That his family and friends were going to be passing away at any time. What it made him realize the most was that he wasn't immortal like he had always figured he was. He was beginning to realize that at any moment something could happen and he could die. Especially right now in these dark times. He was more at risk than ever being a muggle born wizard. Drew shook his head of the thought and rolled out of his bed. He ruffled his hair and pushed the mounting dread from his mind. He knew something was going to happen, but he didn't know when or where or what it would entail. It was just a feeling that rocked him to his very being.
At that moment a face crossed his mind. He smiled at the face. Leah. He wondered how she was doing with everything. Was she surviving the fact that her father was dead? Was she growing older with having to take care of her siblings and her mother? The thoughts swam through his mind and he couldn't help but feel sorry for her. He didn't envy the pain she was going through. It was here that he decided to get up and go visit her for the day. Hang out and talk with her, make sure she was doing all right with all the pain she'd gone through in the days since the funeral. He stood up and quickly dressed. Pulling his blue shirt over his head and then smoothing out the wrinkles that seemed to spring up any time he put on clothes. He pulled out his wallet from his other pair of jeans and shoved it into his back pocket of his clean pair of jeans.
Drew got permission to go to Leah's from his parents and he jumped into the seat of the car beside his father. The drive seemed to take forever before he was finally out in front of her house. He took and deep breath waving good bye to his father. He stepped on the step next to the door and knocked lightly. Within minutes the door pulled open and there was Leah. His heart jumped and he couldn't speak for a few seconds. He just smiled and nodded his acknowledgment to her. He sat down at her offer and turned to her fully. "I was just seeing how you were doing. After all, I mean things have to be difficult. I just thought you could use the company. If you want I have some things planned if you want to go out for a while. That is of course if you could spare a few minutes for me," Drew said with a small smile. He had been planning an entire day of fun on his way here, hoping that Leah would be able to get away from her house for a while. He waited in silence for her response.

Leah smiled a real smile when the word fun had struck her ears. She had not had any fun since the funeral. "Hang on a sec, I have to ask my mom." Leah said while getting up and going upstairs. "Hey mom? Can I go out and have some fun with Andrew?" Leah asked. "Who is Andrew?" Carolina asked while grinning and tapping her chin. "My friend and only a friend."Leah said while crossing her arms. "Ok, just be careful. He-who-must-not -be-named has been murdering people lately and his followers." Carolina said while quickly turning around. Leah heard her crying again and ran down stairs. "Ok, let's go!!" Leah said while grabbing purse. "Where are we going?" Leah asked while smiling. "Where did you come from anyway?" Leah said while putting her hair up.
((Sorry it's short, it's getting late here.))

Drew smiled and waited for Leah to come back to the living room and give him her answer. He hoped she'd be able to go. The day he had planned was going to be incredible, at least he hoped it would be. It was mainly just doing different and hopefully crazy things that were so much fun that Leah would forget about all the horror she'd been through for a while. Of course, if she couldn't go out he could do it later, but he wanted her to be able to go out. They were things that could be done any day. Today he just felt like going out and trying to take his own mind off death as well as giving Leah something to look forward to in life. He couldn't imagine how she was feeling right now and he didn't want to think about the fact that she could be hurting so deeply and thoroughly that he couldn't really help her. He pushed the thought to the back of his mind as Leah came back into the room with her purse.
"Nah, I'm not going to tell you. That would ruin the fun. Geez, Leah, haven't you ever heard of a surprise?" Drew said with a smile as he escorted her out of the door. They weren't going to be needing a car that day at all so he had been fine when he waved his father goodbye. Today they were going to be walking around a bit. It was a nice beautiful day anyway so it was perfect. "As for where I came from, my mother," he said with a small smile, "Yeah, I know that wasn't the best line, but I couldn't help it. I live in Brighton, near the sea side. It's nice." Drew smiled at her as they walked. "So how are you doing?" Drew asked in a soft voice.

"Brighton eh? Where's that? It must of been a long drive to get here in Ireland." Leah said as the walked. "I've been struggling with out him, taking care of Kayla and Kyle y'know. You remind me of my dad though, not just because your names are the same. But your personality. He always planned something fun when I was down in the dumps, and was playful like you." Leah said while looking at her feet. Leah sighed. She wished she could stay in the past so she didn't have to go through this pain. Life does go on though, and Leah would have to go through with out her father. "Did you bring a broom?" Leah asked. They could probably fly to where they where going, unless there would be muggles around. Leah took out her father's wand to look at it again.
She never took it out of her pocket. Just like she never took off the ring or necklace. Leah wasn't paying attention to where she was going and tripped over a rock. Her neighbors Cristen and Serenity watched and laughed. "What a klutz! I bet she could trip over a grain of sand! I don't know how you made it in Hogwarts the way you cry so much!" Serenity said as she walked over there. She was a Hogwarts student that Leah didn't get along with very well. Leah tried to get up, but Serenity pushed her back down again. "Let me get up!" Leah said falling back down again.

Drew smiled. "I've been staying up here in Ireland with my aunt and uncle. Some family reunion or something is coming up. And since the funeral I decided I'd come up. Brighton however, is in Southern England. Right near the English Channel. It's quite beautiful really, but Ireland...Ireland is its own special beauty. Lush and green. It's amazing," he said with a soft voice. It was like he didn't want to ruin the moment that was going on. The soft morning light and the lush green grass of the Irish countryside. It was something he hardly ever got to experience. His family hardly ever visited his mum's relatives in Ireland. His dad's side all lived in America and they usually found themselves there instead of in Ireland, so when these trips happened, Drew appreciated them even more. Drew quieted himself and listened to the rest of what Leah was saying. He just nodded. He wasn't sure what to say about her comments about her father. He knew it must be difficult for her, but he still couldn't even comprehend what it was like to lose someone, especially someone that had been so prominent in ones upbringing. "Broom? Uh, no, I don't much think it would be wise to bring a broom with me, after all I'm the only wizard in my family and most of my family doesn't even realize I am one. I don't think they'd continue talking to me if I turned out to be one," Drew said with a small smile. He hated to admit it, but his extended family was pretty stuck in their muggle universes. Everything had to line up with scientific facts and anything that didn't line up in there was discarded. He hated to think if they found out he would be discarded from their lives, but he didn't doubt it for a second.
Drew's thoughts were interrupted by Leah's disappearance from the corner of his eye. He stopped and turned abruptly looking down. He smiled as he extended his hand to her. However, his smile faded at the two people that strolled their way over to her making fun of her all the while. Drew's eyes turned deep blue with anger. It was strange for him. Drew hardly ever got mad, but these two people seemed to think that this was a funny situation. It was even worse when the girl pushed Leah back down on the ground. He stepped in front of the girl, putting himself between Leah and herself. "I don't know who you are, but why don't you just leave. Your humor is sick and wrong. How uncaring of you to pick on someone like that. Just get out of here. I will not warn you again," Drew said his voice becoming dangerously low. Tension was in the air and he was struggling to control his temper. He just couldn't understand why people picked on others. It made no sense to him at all and he would be condemned if he allowed this sorry excuse for a girl pick on Leah like that. He waited, his anger struggling to escape his control, for the girl to make an intelligent decision and leave.

Leah saw Andrew sticking up for her and smiled. No one ever did this for her. Leah got up and dodged Serenity's push attack. "What have I done to you? Nothing! So leave me alone!"Leah shouted while getting a little angry. One of the many things she hated about Serenity was her never ending aggression. "Ok, I'll leave you alone..." Serenity said and smiled her plot smile. She left and headed up the road and out of sight. "Thanks for sticking up for me, no one ever does that for me." Leah said while smiling. Leah forgot all her troubles and pains around Andrew. He always made her feel better. "At the bottom of this hill, there's three ways that split. One goes to a muggle town, one goes to a small wizard town, and one goes out into the fields. Which one are we taking?"Leah asked while pointing to the ways. "Oh and I heard about your band, I was thinking of having a party. Just to have fun, and I don't a muggle rad..aeo. Could you guys play?" Leah asked. She pronounced radio wrong because she wasn't around muggle items so much, so she didn't know how to pronounce it.
"Oh before we go down there, see those barrels over there? Let's roll down the hill in 'em!" Leah said while dragging Drew over there. Leah got in one of the barrels and rolled down the hill. Her head couldn't move because of the speed and her bobbled. This was so much fun to Leah, and missed it when she did it with her father. She felt a tear drop be carried off her cheek, and into the air. It came back and hit her cheek with a small 'plop'. She got out of the barrel and looked at her feet. She missed it when she was a little girl, having fun like that with him. She looked at a tree and walked to it. It was the tree her and her father played tic-tac-toe on. She looked at the carved O's and X's filled with moss. Tear drops ran down her face. She was so depressed and angry that her father was taken away so harshly. She banged the tree with her fists and slowly dropped to her knees. She was so angry right now, that she forgot about Drew. She cried while banging her fists on the tree.
(( Whoa, sudden burst of inspiration there lol.))
