The summer, at least that meant staying in England. Scotland wasn’t so bad through the year, of course; it was the ‘vacations’ with her mother that were work. But they only happened during the winter, thankfully, meaning Mary was free for the next two months. Even better, her mother was satisfied she wouldn’t run off gallivanting with muggleborns anymore so Mary was free to come and go from the house as she pleased again. Not that she pleased to go much of anywhere, but out of the house was always better than in it, even in a house as large as Evans’ Manor her mother’s shrill voice found a way to carry from time to time.
In was the call for the present though, but that was only because Mary was getting ready to go out. Now summer was half over Mary was bored to tears with all the usual places she could go but still hesitant to take up residence in one of the other properties for fear of her mother following. Not to mention at least at home in England she could arrange to see people from school, where as day trips from Spain to see friends was not always the most convenient thing in the world. Not that Mary had any plans or anyone to meet that day but… well she would figure something out.
When she was ready and looking perfect Mary grabbed a purse and went out the front door – she would travel the muggle way since she had time and did not want to go through the filthy fireplaces if it could be avoided. It was still a hassle to get into Diagon Alley – as though the Death Eaters would attack two year in a row – but security seemed to be somewhat more lax and Mary got through in 5 minutes.
First stop would be… well Mary didn’t know for sure. The street wasn’t too crowded so Mary simply wandered unhindered for awhile until she spotted a familiar head in the crowd. “Kamron!” Mary called before stopping to hope she hadn’t just called some random guy Kamron.
