The heels on her shoes clicked along the paved stone streets of Diagon Alley. Maddie hadn't visited the place since the attack, and she was honestly looking quite forward to see what had became of the place, since they rebuilt it. It wasn't as good as Maddie had hoped... but she couldn't say that it looked as horrible as it did before. Since they had rebuilt the place, they were forced to clean it up, as well. The town looked just about the same as it did before the attack, but the streets and shops looked a bit cleaner, and the building structures were a bit different. However, some buildings looked completely different, and some were new shops, in general. Maddie shrugged. It wasn't all that bad. Pushing the pointless thoughts to the back of her head, Maddie rounded a corner and walked into a nearby restaurant. The teen-aged girl looked around curiously. She didn't recognize the name, nor the building, so she assumed that it was one of the newer ones. It definitely stood out from the others-it looked much nicer and... fancier, one could say. Much more elegant and cleaner looking. Maddie had to admit... that she liked the place. Maddie walked to the back of the restaurant and quickly found an empty table. She grabbed a napkin off of the table and wiped away a few dust particles, before sitting herself down on the cushioned seat beside the table. Maddie rested her right elbow on the table, putting her hand up to her chin. Waiting wasn't the easiest thing for Maddie to do, so she quickly became impatient and began strumming her fingernails idly on the table sitting before her and continued to wait impatiently for the waiter. At the moment, this place didn't seem as nice as it looked. ((I'm terribly sorry that it took so long to get this post up, and I'm even more sorry that the post is so crappy. Honestly, it's gotta be one of the worst that I've done in a long time. It'll get better-I promise. I'm just having a bit of trouble with starter posts tonight... >.<))

Fiona pushed her way past a group of gawking children. They were too young to be sitting their dirty greasy paws in Diagon Alley. They probably weren't even purebloods. Fiona dusted herself off noticeably after she arrived on the other side of the kids. Her attitude was enough to make one of the younger children run off in the opposite direction crying. One of the older kids who had been knocked to the ground glared up at her. "Don't stand in the middle of the street and maybe I wouldn't have to push through you. Honestly, you have to know your place in this society and that's on the ground," Fiona said as she smiled and turned quickly away from the younger children. The oldest was probably only a few years younger than her if that. She was probably even a student at Hogwarts, but Fiona knew that she was of no importance, because if she had been than she wouldn't have been standing with those children.
Fiona looked around the streets of Diagon Alley, she had been here early, but there seemed to be a few new shops that hadn't been there when the place reopened not too long ago. She smiled as she recognized a fairly new building around the corner from the main part of the street. She wondered if there was anything decent to eat there. The outside looked much better than most of the other stores and restaurants in Diagon Alley. Fiona shrugged to herself, though she wasn't really hungry she couldn't help but wonder what was in the restaurant. She walked to the door and opened it slowly. There was a clean fresh smell that engulfed her as she shut the door behind her. The place looked clean. Probably cleaner than all the stores in Diagon Alley combined.
Fiona took in the artwork and other items of the restaurant before her eyes landed on a familiar face in the back of the restaurant. Fiona smiled...it was Maddie. She was sitting by herself. Fiona didn't know if Maddie wanted to be bothered, but since Fiona hadn't really talked to her in awhile she decided to sit with her anyway. She wound through the tables and people that were already sitting and eating. She reached the table Maddie was sitting at and quickly took a seat across from her. "Do you mind?" Fiona asked quickly. She figured Maddie wouldn't but she was polite enough to her friends to ask.
((Don't worry about your post. Frankly, I think it's better than mine at the moment. I don't know what's up with Fiona lately. She's just being weird to me. Anyway, I'm equally sorry for my post.))

Ugh. What was taking that blasted waiter so long? Honestly. The place wasn't that busy, and the girl was quite positive that it wouldn't take much effort at all to simply walk up to someone, greet them, and ask them if they wanted something to drink. Gah. People these days - even in a restaurant that seemed as fine as this, she still didn't receive quality service. Maddie shook her head. Maddie turned her head toward a familiar voice beside her. The girl raised her eyebrows, letting a small grin slip upon her face. "Fiona." she greeted with a nod. "No, I don't mind. I haven't seen you in a while. How have you been?" she asked, trying to strike up an interesting conversation. Much to Maddie's liking, a waiter appeared beside the table only moments after the girl had finished speaking. The waiter held a small booklet of paper and a writing utensil in his hands. Maddie quirked an eyebrow toward the man. "About time." she scolded with a sneer, in a surprisingly calm tone of voice. The man seemed well-trained and simply nodded with a short apology. The brunette had no response to this. Before the man could utter any other words, Maddie spoke again. "Iced tea will do for now." she said with a nod. Maddie turned to Fiona. "I'm supposing you would like something as well?" After Fiona was finished speaking, the man scribbled a few words on the pad of paper and muttered something that sounded like he said that he would be back in a couple of moments with the drinks. Maddie nodded her head in approval and the man left. "Well... this place seems nice." she mused, turning back to Fiona. "I can't exactly say that the service is as nice, but we'll just have to see how things go." she said with raised eyebrows and a slight smirk. ((I didn't know if they would use quills or regular pens so I just called it a 'writing utensil'. ))

Fiona smiled at Maddie and sat down. Maddie had hardly finished talking when the waiter approached. Fiona smiled as Maddie told the guy off for taking so long. "I'll have the same," Fiona said as she ordered. The man took off and Fiona wondered if he was cursing under his breath. "Yeah, the service does seem to be lacking here. However, I don't think any place really knows how to treat purebloods. A few aren't too bad, but I have yet to go to a place that treats us like we should be treated," Fiona dropped her voice for the next few sentences, "Maybe when the Dark Lord returns things will change. Maybe we'll finally be treated like the gods we are. Won't that be a nice change to the horrible service." Fiona smiled at her thought. She could just see it now. Service 24/7 to those pure of blood. "However, some pureblood's don't deserve that kind of treatment. Those people should become the slaves. I know exactly the few I would start with too," Fiona said with malice. Those few pureblood's that had ticked her off would certainly meet the requirements. Of course her aunt and uncle would be on the top of her list. She could certainly find many things for them to do that would destroy them.
"Anyway...it has been a while since we've had a proper talk. What with all the professor's worrying about the O.W.L.'s. Give me a break as if we're going to be here that long. I have my own belief that the Dark Lord will soon take control of Hogwarts and we won't have to worry about that crap anymore, but heck I really don't know," Fiona glanced around the restaurant quickly as she turned back to Maddie. She was dying to tell Maddie about the news. She had promised to only tell those who could be trusted if she absolutely had to tell someone. She knew that Maddie could be trusted. She would understand. Fiona was about to speak when the waiter returned. She rolled her eyes. Horrible service couldn't even wait until the most important issues had been taken care of and not interrupt them. She took her ice tea and glared at the man. She waited to see if Maddie wanted anything else and soon the waiter took off again. Fiona paused, maybe her news should wait until later on in the conversation. She didn't want to risk being overheard. "So how are you doing?" Fiona asked instead. She gingerly took a drink of her tea as she waited for a reply.
((Sorry it took so long to write back. It's been truly busy around my home lately. What with work, school, and theatre my social time is nearly imagined. Anyway...thought we could continue the post.))
