"For the love of Merlin, Adrian! I'll be fine." Lita glared at her brother firmly, refusing to back down. "You're eleven Litana! Eleven is not an age when you can go to Diagon Alley on your own!" Adrian glared back at her, equally determined. "Calm down, Adrian." Morganna stepped between them, ruffling her sons hair carelessly and breaking the tense mood with that simple action. "I'll go with her. You didn't really think that I'd let her wander off on her own, did you? She might actually have fun, Merlin forbid." Morganna winked at her daughter impishly and identical smiles crossed both of their faces at Adrian's mock-offended gasp. It was good to have him back home so that they could relax together once more. "Mum, you never let me have fun when I was eleven. Why does Lita get to have fun?" Adrian whined childishly, the barest hint of a teasing smile curling his lips. "Because she's the girl." Morganna replied calmly before gently pushing her only daughter toward the fireplace and dropping the bag of floo powder into Lita's hand. "Come on, daughter-mine. Let's not have fun." Lita snickered at her mothers words and hugged her brother tightly then skipped toward the fireplace and caught the pouch of floo powder expertly.
When the dizzy haze from the floo powder faded, Lita was being propelled through the crowds in the Leaky Cauldron and toward a wall. She had been with their parents and Adrian when her brother had bought his supplies and so it was no surprise to see her mother tapping on the bricks of the wall with her wand. How could something that she had seen countless times before shock her? It would be like jumping in surprise every time her father apparated home from work. Absolutely senseless. Lita blinked and raised an eyebrow questioningly when her mother abruptly stopped and turned toward her with her ever-present grin. "I got your supplies a while ago. All we have to do is get your wand and then we can just shop!" Lita grinned in delight and hugged her mother with a quiet cheer. "I can get ice-cream, right?" Lita tilted her head curiously, eager to get her favourtie treat. "Yes, yes. Of course. Ice-cream. Very good." Morganna waved a hand dismissively before leading her daughter toward Ollivanders, determined not to be side-tracked from the original goal.
Lita was only too glad to leave Ollivanders and head toward the eagerly anticipated ice-cream. At least she had a wand now. Lita twirled the dark wood between her fingers and smirked. She had often played with her brothers wand in this fashion - twirling it between her fingers - but it seemed so much more satisfying with her own wand. She sat in a chair and ordered, rolling her eyes as her mother wandered a few tables away to talk to an old friend of hers. Lita shrugged and started to eat her ice-cream, utterly unconcerned by her mother wandering off. Her mother would keep an eye on her, Lita knew, even if it seemed that she was absorbed by something else. Family was everything to the Hollows. Lita reclined in her chair, grinning at the feel of the sun on her face and closing her eyes peacefully.

Marik licked the dripping ice-cream from his sticky fingers. His usual, chocolate cake batter flavor with graham-cracker crumbs slowly turned to a puddle in the paper cup. Scraping the last bit of brown liquid from the bottom, he raised the spoon to his mouth and slurped it happily. As he threw his garbage away, he glance down at his shirt with a frown. In the middle of his chest, a muddy stain covered his gray t-shirt. "Uugh," he blurted in an annoyed tone. He scanned the area for napkins which were placed on each table for the customers' convenience. However, each empty table held equally empty napkin dispensers. He would have tried magic, but the last time he did that, he not only made the stain disappear, but the entire article of clothing. Luckily it wasn't something he was wearing at the moment, but he didn't think that the middle of Diagon Alley would be an appropriate place to go shirtless.
Checking the tables with customers already sitting at them, he examined his choices. Noticing a young girl sitting alone, he thought she was probably least likely to care if he simply grabbed a few napkins quickly. Approaching the table, he smiled kindly. "Ah... mind if I grab a few napkins?" he asked, biting his bottom lip. "I got some ice-cream on my favorite shirt, and... well, let's just say I don't want to risk trying to use magic to get the stain out." She probably thought he was just too stupid to be able to get the chocolate off of his shirt, but that wasn't exactly true.
Not expecting her to object, he reached for the dispenser and grabbed a few napkins. Dabbing his shirt, he added, "Sorry to bother you by the way. It's just that all the other tables were out." Still smiling, he rubbed a little harder as the stain began to fade.

Lita tilted her head a bit further backward, a satisfied smile appearing on her face when a cool breeze drifted past and ruffled her hair gently. A reasonably hot summers day with a cool breeze and cold ice-cream, even if said ice-cream was half-melted. A voice sounded next to her and Lita almost groaned, her eyes snapping open and her peace disappearing in the blink of an eye. How annoying but how expected. It was impossible to sit for more than five minutes without being interrupted. She had proved it several times and here it was, being proved once more."Napkins? Ah, yes." Lita smirked and eyed the stain on the boys shirt with no small amount of amusement. Boys. So careless but so amusing while being careless that Lita could almost forgive them for being idiots. Almost being the operative word. Nothing was enough to forgive an idiot. Not just this boy in particular but the majority; not even her beloved brother was an exception to Lita's scorn.
"Actually...no," Lita waited until the boy had taken a few of the napkins before making a playful protest. The dark wood of her wand shone in the sunlight as she twirled the wand between her fingers and pointed it at the boy mockingly. "So you would make an attempt to steal my napkins, would you? Well, I'm not having it!" Lita let the silence hang between them for only a few seconds before grinning mischievously and slipping her wand back into her pocket then inclining her head politely. "Lita Hollows, student of Hogwarts in September and a hopeful Ravenclaw or Slytherin. Though I reckon I'm more of a Raven, no matter how much Adrian wants me to be in Slytherin." Lita smiled gently and tilted her head toward the chair opposite her, leaving the choice of sitting down or not up to the stranger but signaling that she wouldn't mind if he did, before turning her attention back to her ice-cream and eating a bit more yet still keeping a small amount of attention on the boy in order to hear his introduction.

Frozen in place for a second, Marik stood staring in disbelief. Only after he realized that she was only joking about stealing her napkins did Marik's face of bewilderment turn into a face of amusement. This young girl, Lita as she had introduced herself, sure was the brave sort. He thought that maybe instead of a Raven or Slyth, she might make a good Gryff, but decided not to mention it. Not many girls her age would be brave enough to give off the slight attitude she was showing. Of course any Slytherin would do so out of spite instead of bravery. Taking a seat in the empty chair, Marik didn't think she would protest to that. Even if she did, what was she going to do about it? She hadn't even started school yet, but if she wanted to be a Raven, then she might have already started studying ahead. And, after connecting the pieces, Marik thought that maybe her older brother Adrian might have taught her a thing or two. Either way, he doubted she would jinx him for simply sitting next to her. After all, he was only curious as to why the girl wanted to be a Ravenclaw so bad. "Nice to meet you Lita. I'm Marik Mason; just finished my fifth year at Hogwarts as a Ravenclaw. So, you're going to be a first year this fall?" he confirmed, "and you believe you'll either be a Raven or a Slyth." He smiled, giving her the obvious response. "You can't go wrong with Ravenclaw. Some of the best minds are in the house you know." He knew that she probably heard the same lines from her brother, if he really did want her to be part of Slytherin, but he wondered why she preferred Ravenclaw instead. "If you don't mind me asking though, what is it about Slytherin that you wouldn't chose it instead. I mean, you must come from a pure-blooded family if your brother is in Slytherin, and I can't see why you would want to stray away from the reputation that comes along with the house." Marik knew he was getting into something that was sometimes over debated. The stereotypes of each house were something that you couldn't escape. He couldn't help but be curious though as to why this young girl would feel the way she did. He was interested to hear her reply, sure that she seemed intelligent enough to provide a witty response. (( OOC: I am sooo sorry that I didn't reply earlier. I could have sworn I bookmarked this thread and I was actually anxiously waiting for a reply. When I saw that you had replied, I was in disbelief! So here is my reply, much later than I would have hoped, but here the least. I guess that is just my 'idiotic guy side' ))

Lita lifted an eyebrow when the boy simply stood there, apparently shocked by her response, and then smirked. If he had been shocked by that small show of attitude then he should see her when she was having a bad day. "Ah come now, surely you don't suppose that I'm that protective of my napkins, do you? I have better things to do then to stand guard over a pile of napkins." Lita grinned and nodded slightly in approval when the boy took a seat. Had he sat down without permission then he would've discovered just how much attitude she possessed, and if it wasn't summer than he would've been shown just how much magic she knew. It would've been a good opportunity to put her theory work to use as well. Ah well. They weren't allowede to use magic out of school anyway - not to mention that Lita wasn't supposed to know any yet. "Yes, yes," Lita waved a hand dismissively. "Stop with the self-praise and house-praise. I'm well aware of the houses reputation and that's partly why I belong there anyway. Great minds belong there and I'm certainly a great mind." Lita grinned slightly, a sure sign that she was joking but such a small smile that he would have to be paying attention in order to see it. A good way to see if someone was truly paying attention to you. Give off small signs such as her smile; big enough to be noticed but small enough to only be noticed by one paying attention. "Slytherins reputation?" Lita smiled innocently, holding back the annoyance that was slowly rising to see just what this boy thought of Slytherin. If he thought that she truly had no idea about the reputation then surely he would take the opportunity to put forward his point of view. "Slytherin has a reputation? Adrian mentioned nothing about that..." Lita widened her eyes fractionally, well-versed in the art of fake innocence and cluelessness. It would never do for as pure-blooded child to actually be clueless about anything but the ability to act so was a good talent to possess. ((See, you've just proved the theory yet again. *tuts and shakes head sadly* Boys... ))
