Charitie was passing through the Diagon Alley shops trying to remember which store she needed to go to. Charitie stood infront of the menagerie{sp?} and looked in the window. Well Tomas did need somemore toys and what not. She entered hearing the bell go off over her head. She walked the aisles and heard a voice ask if she needed any help just as she found what she was looking for. She quickly grabbed what is was and went to the owner. Paid for her items and calmly walked back out.
Back in the hustle and bustle of people she turned and continued walking the way she had been going and found the store she really needed. She entered and started walking around the store for what she needed. She was holding an ink bottle in her hand looking it over thinking if it was one she needed or not.

Sadie wondered around Diagon Alley. She knew there was somethings that she needed, and since she was there she might as well go ahead and get them while she was there. But where to start? She had plenty of owl treats so she didn't have to go to the Magical Menagerie. She was glad of that for it left time to go to Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes for some new prank things, and to play with the pygmy puffs. Sadie wished she could afford a puff, and which she could, but she had no one to leave it with when she left for school. She couldn't exactly leave her owl home by its self. That wouldn't be fair to the poor bird. It didn't get much attention lately anyway, considering she had no one to write to anymore.
Sadie twisted in one spot trying to figure out where to go first. She had rented herself a room at the Leaky Cauldron for she knew that she would be staying in Diagon Alley for a few weeks. She had known this since the beginning of the summer. She would be in Diagon Alley long enough to get everything she needed without being in any kind of a hurry, so she decided to relax a bit first. Ice cream She thought. That was what she needed at that moment. She headed over to Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlor for a double scoop chocolate ice cream. Sadie indulged herself in the ice cream, finishing every last bite within just a few moments. Afterward, she decided that she would head over to the dress shop.
Sadie paid for her ice cream, and started to head over to the dress shop. Sadie didn't really need knew robes, but decided that she would go ahead and get some just in case. On her way there, she bumped into a girl about her age. "Sorry." Sadie said quietly preparing herself to either get berated or jinxed. Sadie had learned quickly that she never bumped into the right people. But she had also learned that when being berated, it made them madder to just laugh at them. That was what Sadie had decided on doing if the girl chose to yell at her for being clumsy.

Charitie spun on a heel and studied the girl that bumped into her. Her eyes scanning every inch of her. So much came to Charitie's mind but her mouth remained shut. This girl was familiar. Just her presence was astounding.
"You are?"
Her tounge was sharp and quick. Where did she know this girl from? She rarely talked to anybody. Charitie stood and waited on the girl's answer. Her eyes continue to watch her, almost studying her.

Sadie looked at the girl in somewhat awe that she didn't even recognize her. Sadie had ran into the girl in school. Well actually Sadie hid in her tree while the girl sat below sketching unknowingly. Sadie was somewhat relieved though. She was glad to not easily be recognized as a Hufflepuff. It made her feel a bit better.
"Umm... Sadie.. Sadie Rivers. A student at Hogwarts." Sadie managed to leave out what year and house without any problems. She wanted to make sure that she had not caused the girl to break the bottle of ink. If she had, she would have gladly offered to pay for a new one. "Might I ask whom you are?" Sadie knew that she was probably just holding up the inevitable, and that she was sure to get berated as soon as the girl figured out she was a Hufflepuff.

Charitie placed the ink bottle down and looked at the girl. Hogwarts, well she knew that but the name didn't ring any bells either.
"Charitie Perabo."
Charitie cocked her head a bit and continued looking at the girl. There was something odd about her, but for the love of pete, Charitie could not figure it out.
"Third year Slytherin. You seem familiar."
Charitie still had no clue that the girl infront of her, Sadie was a Huffie and had been watching her paint. Her eyes tried to peirce into Sadie to get a better understanding of people. Sadie for the moment.

Sadie showed no emotion to the fact that the girl could only find her familiar. That came with how much time Sadie had spent out in the Courtyard, and on the Grounds of the school. There were usually plenty whom she looked familiar to, but few that actually knew her. Sadie usually kept to herself, but she knew Charitie, and just had not been formally introduced.
"Umm..Yeah we have met before. Just briefly though. I was the girl watching you sketch from the tree you had sat under that day in the Courtyard." Sadie hated admitting things like that for it usually lead to confrontations which was something else Sadie hated as well.

Charitie half smiled.
"I wondered what was watching me."
Charitie was beginning to wonder something.
"Your scared of me aren't you?"
Charitie could be a force to be reckoned with, but for now nicities were observed. She pushed back a lose strand of her hair and looked and the girl. She let out a small chuckle.
"I'm not fixing to bite you, you do know that right?"
Maybe some day Charitie would turn on Sadie, but it wouldn't be right this second.

Sadie wondered what would ever make this girl in front of her think that she was afraid of her. Sadie had only become afraid of the much older Slytherins, the younger ones were just more mouthy, and could say things that really hurt for a while but went away later. Charitie was close to Sadie's year, she knew this, and therefore didn't know much more than she did. Sadie was glad to know this, and glad that Charms was one of her best subjects anytime she came across a Slytherin. "I have recently overcome a lot of fears, so no you are not on the list I must admit. There are far worse things to be afraid of." Sadie said cooly thinking of the empty house waiting for her just outside of London.
Sadie knew that the girl wouldn't take this comment lightly, but at the moment she didn't care. She was too worried about having to do something she wasn't sure she was ready for, than to worry about what this girl might try to do. Sadie was just as skilled at Charms and Curses as this girl in front of her could be, and therefore was prepared for anything she might hear thrown at her.

Charitie looked at Sadie, deciding whether to laugh or to take offense. Charitie decided on niether. Her eyes remained their normal color as she continued on talking to Sadie.
"You never did tell me what house your in."
Charitie knew this girl was not a slytherin, but other than that she didn't know. And she hated guessing, she hated being right most the time.
"You are a second year though, right?"
Charitie again swept a few stray strands that teased her face. Charitie let her mind wander again for a second. Her 'mom' said she had something very important to tell her, but finding the right words was holding her back. And it made Charitie wonder how much longer it was going to take. But once again her mind focused back to the girl infront of her.

Sadie thought for a moment. What would it matter if this girl found out now or later that she was a Hufflepuff. She was bound to find out sooner or later. "I know I didn't tell you what house." Sadie said being a bit more sarcastic than her usual self. "I wasn't sure if it mattered during the summer, but since it apparently does. I'm a proud Hufflepuff." Sadie couldn't help but to feel good about the way she had responded to the question of what house she was in. She was proud to be a Hufflepuff. It fit her, better than what she had found out about her familys' traditional sortings. Sadie was glad that she did know that most of her father's family had been Slytherins, and that she had been placed for what type of person she was, not what family she was in. It showed the Sorting Hat's competence in these situations.
Sadie nodded as the girl asked if she was a second year. "Well, going into my third soon, so does that really matter." Sadie was in a very uncharacteristic mood, and didn't know why. She had been having a good day so far, and there was nothing yet to ruin her mood. She was waiting for friends, and wasn't thinking about her parents at this exact moment finally. She had spent so much time thinking of them that she wasn't sure that she would ever be able to think of anything else.
