Rosaliz sat in her room looking at the clothes she had. After searching through her clothes three more times she finally admitted ‘I guess I have to go shopping I need to get new clothes, these are so out of date’ she thought with a smile. Rosaliz loved shopping. She walked-out side. The cold, icy raindrops were pouring hard from the sky. She continued walking. She was shivering, due to the low temperatures that night. It was very late at night. If she squinted hard enough threw the rain she could see a full moon. She kept on walking until she reached her final destination. She was in Diagon alley walking, looking for near store. She couldn’t believe the monstrous weather. She knew that she surely would get sick to the exposer of the rain. She walked a little more and saw distance lights ahead. She ran to it eager to get out of the rain. Luckily it was still open. She walked inside. She looked around the room, there was a women was behind a counter, where the cash register was. She had dark black shiny hair and had appeared to be wearing make-up. There were other customers shopping for clothes. They seemed angry as though their mood was by the weather outside. Rosaliz didn’t have that kind of personality at all. She seemed to be a person, which had her emotions depending on what she felt, not by some stupid weather. She walked forward towards the racks of clothes. She walked, not looking where she was going, staring at the rack of clothes. She was suddenly awakened when she bumped into a girl. “Sorry, How foolish of I not looking to where I was going!” Rosaliz said. She looked at the girl, she seemed much older than her considering by her height. “My name is Rosaliz what’s yours?”

Fiona needed some serious time to think about what was going on. She couldn't believe that the beginning of this summer she was in desperate need to disobey her parents. Now...now she wished more than anything she had obeyed them. It was all her fault. Fiona ran down the streets of London. She was supposed to be back in Ireland right now. She was supposed to be happy and playing with her cat. Now all of that was ruined and she had ruined it. There was no way she could escape her destiny. She didn't want any of the responsibility she now had, but she couldn't take it back now. Tears cascaded down her face as her long red hair lifted from her back as she ran. She wasn't sure where she was going she was just running.
What seemed like hours passed before she finally stopped and walked into a pub. She looked around to try to get her bearings. She was in the Leaky Cauldron. She ignored the stares that came from people as she walked to the back and out the door into the ran again. Diagon Alley had been her refuge for most of the summer and now she looked to it for comfort. She took her wand out and tapped the brick and the archway appeared. Fiona didn't look back as she stepped across the threshold and she immediately started on her rounds. It was late, but she knew that she could still look through the clothing store on the end. Fiona continued through the rain as she pulled the hood of her coat over her head. She tried to wipe of her tear stained and rain stained face. She didn't need people to see the effects of the tragedy on her face.
Stepping inside the warm shop, Fiona immediately started to look around. She didn't look up to meet anyones eyes. Tonight she just wanted to be alone. Of course that wasn't going to happen. After a few minutes of looking around someone bumped into her and Fiona quickly turned. She didn't see anyone, but she heard a voice apologize and Fiona looked down. A girl stood looking up at her and Fiona realized that she must be about 11 or 12 years old. Fiona would normally rage and scream, but her voice seemed to have been lost back on the streets of London. She looked at the girl and shrugged off her apology. "Next time just watch where you're going," Fiona said as she turned back to the rack. She didn't really want to give the girl her name, but she didn't seem what harm it could cause either. Unless the girl thought that they would become friends. Fiona could not and literally wouldn't make friends with someone who was lower than she was. Of course at the moment Fiona felt like she was dirt and this girl was probably higher than dirt. She didn't look back at the girl, but did respond. "Fiona O'Reilly, fourth year Slytherin."

Rosaliz heared the girl say to watch were she was going. She hen saw the girl turn around. ‘ was she crying?’ she thought. She then heared the girl say in a muffled voice that she was Fiona O'Reilly, a fourth year in Slytherin. “Are you O.K.” Rosaliz asked, knowing what she was dealing with. She her own self acted snobby sometimes wondering if she was sorted into the right house. She didn’t really know if the girl was going to reply, but didn’t feel bad if she would answer her back. ((sorry, that my post is short.... I didn't have an idea what to write next. ))

'Are you okay?' Rosaliz asked Fiona. Fiona bit her lip. She couldn't continue to hold her feelings inside if someone asked her about it. She didn't tell people about herself, but she certainly didn't want to say anything about what had happened to her. It didn't really matter it would be in the Daily Prophet tomorrow anyway. She fought back the tears that burned her eyes. She wished she was back outside. At least out there people couldn't tell you were crying.
Fiona refused to look at the girl, but she did speak to the girl. "What are you doing out so late at night without your mother?" Fiona asked cruelly. She didn't care to share with a girl she just met what was wrong with her. Instead she put on her defenses and began to pick on the girl. "Aren't you too young to be wondering by yourself, especially since the Dark Lord's return?" Fiona was talking in a mock baby voice to the girl with her back still toward her. She didn't know why she was acting this way, maybe it was because the girl just happened to cross her path so late at night.

Rosaliz heard her ask her about her mother. Rosaliz got mad…. Wondering if she was using it as a defense against her. “ As a matter of fact...I don’t have a mother, she died just recently” she was wondering if they were rumors around the school, during the end of the month before vacation. The Fiona started mentioning about the dark lord. She wasn’t afraid of him, since her father was a death eater serving him. She took it as a compliment. Rosaliz then said, “As a matter of fact my father’s a death eater, serving the dark lord. And since I’m a pure blood…I decide to join his path and become a death eater to” Rosaliz finished, just standing there. She found it quite weird staring at somebody’s back. It felt as if she was talking to herself.

Fiona was intrigued by what Rosaliz had said about her family. Mother dead, father serving the Dark Lord, and she wanted to follow in his footsteps. The pain Fiona had been feeling was not forgotten, but replaced with interest. This young girl seemed to be just about where Fiona was at her age.
Fiona turned around to face the girl. "You understand what being a Death Eater means?" Fiona whispered in question to the girl. She wasn't sure if Rosaliz really understood the immense pressure of it all, but Fiona figured Rosaliz had some idea since her father was one. Fiona had a spark in her eye which meant that she had finally accepted her place in her destiny. This girl seemed to have helped her in the last few minutes. "Do young, yet so dedicated to the Dark Lord. And you're not in Slytherin?" Fiona asked. She had never seen the girl before and though she had the right attitude for Slytherin, Fiona was pretty sure that she wasn't. Which was odd for she seemed to really want to follow the Dark Lord. Fiona watched her closely as she waited for her reply.

Rosaliz looked at Fiona. She then answered her question. "I understand, to what a death eater means and the presurre hold, making sure you do everything right for the dark lord, because if you don't h=things can go surely wrong." she noticed she finshed off her eply in a whisper and said "well I was suit for slytherin, but my snobby aunt who married with a muggle, she got trash jammed in her head by her husband. She started to think it wasn't right for me to fallow in my fathers foot-steps, so she talked to Dumbeldore, and persuide him to put me in Gryffindor. Well he agreed to him. KILL THOSE ALL WHO MISS TREAT THE DARK LORD!!" Rosaliz then noticed that people were staring at her when she screamed out from the top of lungs. She then said "what are you looking at?" with a smurk on her face. She then contiued to talk to Fiona "The good thing about me in Gryffindor is that I can get my hand on that filthy half-blood, harry and kill him while he sleeps. Saddly the school year is over...what do you think Fiona?" Rosaliz asked starting to find interest in her.

Fiona smirked at the young girl as she shouted. Fiona couldn't help but feel the ice that encased her heart. The doubts she had been feeling were gone now and it was replaced by nothing short of cruelty. It was like when she was growing up and use to torture the house elfs. That's what this was, the feeling of complete and utter trust in her master. Fiona watched the young girl closely before she chose to answer. "It's not safe to talk here. Follow me, I know a place where we won't be overheard." Fiona pulled her hood tightly around her face as she walked to the door. She was interested to see if this girl would follow her, especially since Fiona didn't really explain where they were going. Stepping out into the rain Fiona slowly began to walk toward the place she had gone so often at Rosaliz's age. Fiona glanced behind her to see if Rosaliz was following.

Rosaliz was fallowing allright. She trusted Fiona, by the information she gave her...she knew that it was important. She pulled up her hood. The rain was pouring, the weather was the same as it was when she arrived at Diagon alley.

Fiona walked past the buildings in Diagon Alley and quietly stepped into Knockturn Alley. This was one of her favorite places and she knew a place they wouldn't be overheard. She wondered if Rosaliz had ever been in Knockturn Alley, but figured she hadn't. Fiona slipped into a parlor she had gone to only once before. That had not been such a great day and her company had been worse. She nodded in turn to the bar keep who seemed to have recognized her. Figures with the company I had how could he forget me Fiona thought to herself. She made her way to the back of the parlor and pulled her cloak off. She hung it on the back of her chair as she floated into the its seat.
"You wonder why you're here perhaps?" Fiona questioned, but wasn't expecting an answer and she continued, "We won't be overheard here. Sit down and by all means warm yourself. You asked my opinion on what I think. If you had asked me that question yesterday I would have told you the complete opposite of what I'm about to tell you. Of course yesterday a lot of things were different." Fiona paused as the memories of the last 24 hours ran through her mind. She didn't want to talk about it, but she had to.

Rosaliz fallowed her to knockturn alley. She'd been there a couple of times. She took off her jacket and warmed her self up. She sat in her chair looking at Fiona, waiting for her to countiue talking.

Fiona plunged on as she watched Rosaliz sit. "My views of the Dark Lord have been altered due to some tragic events in my family. My father like yours is a Death Eater. A well known one inside their circle. Converses directly with the Dark Lord. I was meant to follow in his footsteps and the Dark Lord wants me. I've been showing extraordinary power every since I was born. He wants me from what my father used to tell me. So my father and mother have been training me to follow, but last year things changed. I decided to rebel against my parents and against the Dark Lord. Bad idea. My father began to have someone follow me. I wasn't sure at first. I'd hear just slight movements behind me or brushes against my arm. It wasn't until a few weeks ago that I actually saw him. It had been my grandfather. You see my grandfather and grandmother on my mum's side were known supporters of the Dark Lord and were imprisoned in Azkaban when he disappeared. Once they got out I figured they continued to follow the Dark Lord, but I always hoped that I'd meet them," Fiona paused as she let her story sink into Rosaliz. She wasn't exactly sure why she was telling this girl everything, but she felt better about getting some of it off of her chest. It was a heavy burden to carry and she was tired of carrying it. "You with me so far?" Fiona asked curiously.

Rosaliz listened as carefull as she could. She nodded to Fiona's question, and said "let me get this straight. Your father's a death eater. you have strong powers of some sort that the dark lord is trying to lure you. I wish would want me that despretly. You then changed youropinon about the dark lord...your father been fallowing you and you changed your mind again, wanting serve the dark lord and want to meet your grandparents?"

"Basically," Fiona nodded. "The Dark Lord is always hunting for witches and wizards with strong powers. If you want to serve him so bad read a lot of books and practice the spells. It's the only thing I use to do the first three years at Hogwarts. Anyway, I hadn't changed my mind yet about the Dark Lord. When I saw my grandfather there I was shocked. I knew it was him, but I couldn't figure out why he was following me. I didn't get enough courage to ask my father about it until this morning. That's when everything went down hill. I won't ever forget what happened. My father and I had been fighting ever since I got off the Hogwarts Express for break and I knew my mother was sick of it. I couldn't help it I had to know why I was being followed," Fiona sighed.
Fiona remembered yelling at her father about her grandfather following her. She remembered standing right in front of him not looking at anything, but him. She wished she had been looking elsewhere for maybe she would have seen the spell that hit her from behind. She couldn't move, she couldn't talk, and she couldn't figure out who hit her with the spell. It didn't matter though, in the next second a blinding flash of green light zoomed by her and her father fell. She hadn't known if he was alive of dead at the time. A soft voice whispered in her ear and she her already frozen body seemed to have frozen more.
Fiona looked back at Rosaliz and explained what she had just been thinking about. She wanted to make sure that Rosaliz got this a little at a time. She wasn't sure if she was going to understand everything or even care to hear everything, but Fiona was spilling her guts at the moment so she would hear everything eventually.

“Well, I’m the smartest one in my year” Rosaliz said. “ I even know third years, and I help them with there homework. It is quite easy." She continued. Rosaliz then continued, listening. Her heart sank when she heard that her father got hit with a green, light. ‘That could meant three things. He could have been hit by the death spell, but that couldn’t be it since he was alive or 2. His spell backfired, or 3. It just an ordinary defensive spell.’ She thought. She then looked around to her surroundings. Everything was still quite the same, as when they got there. Nobody had came in, in the time Fiona was talking. Rosaliz continued to listen, and she wanted to learn more, maybe she would learn something from it.

((sorry it took so long to reply )) Fiona took a deep breath before she continued. This was the hardest part of the story. A part that Fiona hadn't fully excepted yet. "I tried with all my might to turn around and find out who put a spell on my father. I didn't know if he was OK and I just wanted to rush to his side. I never saw their face, but I knew the voice that spoke to me. 'I'm sorry, Fi. I just didn't want him to hurt you anymore.'," Fiona stopped short holding her face still. She was not going to cry, she couldn't cry. "It was my mother. She released me from the spell and I turned to look at her. She was crying like I've never seen her cry before. I asked her if Da was going to be OK. She couldn't even remember what spell she used on him. I turned to look at him and it didn't look like he was breathing. I walked over to him and tried to wake him. He didn't wake up and he wouldn't ever wake up. I think my mom took the news the worst for she jumped off the cliff to a watery grave. Now I've been abandoned by my parents and I went to my uncle's manor. He went to Ireland to put things in order." Fiona bit her bottom lip and pushed the tears back. She wasn't going to cry again. She had to be strong, that's what her uncle told her. "I told you this to answer your question about what I thought. I tell you this, I will follow my father's footsteps as a last request from him. I will do whatever I can to serve the Dark Lord and when I reach 17 I will go to him. No one can stop me now and I will become the most powerful follower of the Dark Lord. That's what my father wanted and I'm going to make him proud."

Rosaliz sat there. Listening to Fiona tell her story. She listened with great death, trying to analyze ever-single word that the girl sitting in front of her told. After she finished the story, Rosaliz couldn’t believe it. She had so much in common with Fiona. She sat there in a pause thinking what to say. “Well, umm…I sorry, for all that has happened to you-“ She tried to say another word, but she stuttered, she then realized that she was crying to. “ Fiona, you’re, living with your Uncle now, just a bit of advice, from me personally, be thankful to what you have know instead of what could have been. I my self am abandoned, and live under a roof with my friend. It is not easy. I cry every night, when she is asleep. She doesn’t now what I have inside, but I’m afraid she wouldn’t accept it if I told her. Don’t forget, I’m here for you. Everybody else can say, that you can talk to them about it, but it is not the same, since they aren’t living threw it. You and I are going threw the same thing.” She sat there looking at Fiona waiting for her reply to her thoughts, wondering how she felt…

Fiona was glad for Rosaliz's invitation. She would probably need to talk with someone about it. She was going to live with her uncle for now, but she inherited all of her parents money and their castle. Fiona sighed. She remembered sitting in this chair not too long ago trying to prove to someone that she was her own boss and her parents didn't rule her. Now she would give anything to have that be true. "Thanks Rosaliz. I don't want to look weak and I'm not really. There are just some things that can crush my heart. You live with a friend? Does it work out?" Fiona asked. She was desperate to talk about anything but her parents. She didn't want to think about going back to her uncles and not seeing her parents, even if they were yelling at her that was at least better than being dead. Fiona hushed her thoughts as she listened to Rosaliz's reply.

I recently, just joined my friend. She doesn’t know about it, like I said, but my conscience is killing me. I’m planning to tell, her. Sadly she’s in Hufflepuff, not Slytherin, so I might give her a quit, scare. I think she might kick me out when I tell her.” Rosaliz sat there, feeling her stomach turn. She started to feel dizzy. “Can we go outside? I need some fresh air.” She asked Fiona. May-be I should walk to some other place, were I can distract my thoughts. She thought. She sat there waiting for Fiona to reply.

Fiona was surprised that Rosaliz's friend didn't know. She thought that Rosaliz was taking a big risk but who wasn't these days. Fiona thought for a second. "I hope things go well for you when you tell your friend. However, if things don't work out with her. You can come stay with me at my uncle's. I'm sure he won't mind if you come. You're of the right background for him. It's just a thought if all else fails," Fiona said as she ran her hand through her wet hair.
"Yeah we can go outside. This place has kind of a cloudy atmosphere anyways," Fiona sighed as she stood. Grabbing her cloak off of the chair behind her she pulled it on. It was still wet from the rain and now it was cold from not having body heat. Fiona walked to the door and stepped outside. The air was cold, but it was only a light rain now instead of the earlier pounding. Fiona took a deep breath and the air filled her lungs. In some ways she was glad to be alive, but in others she wished it had been her that was dead and not her parents. Fiona turned to see where Rosaliz had gotten to.
