Ed stood in his kitchen and popped the top to a canned beverage. Ed downed the drink within a few gulps and tossed the can into a nearby garbage. Ed checked the watch on his wrist. 15 till 10, he would have to leave soon to be on time to meet Dana. Ed was about to turn and leave the kitchen when the sound of voices drifted to him. Ed's blood froze as Samantha, his older sister, and Ashley, his younger sister, stepped into the kitchen. The two girls froze at the sight of him. Samantha recovered first. "You filthy little! Get out of our kitchen!" Before Ed knew it he was staring down the length of her wand. "Samantha! Wait!..." He was forced to stop as he jumped behind a counter just in time. The spell struck the counter and bounced off and hit the wall.
Ed groaned as he remembered something. Ed stuck his head over the counter. "Ashley, before I forget!" He ducked again as another spell was launched at him. "I send you greetings..........From Kris Graas......Toodles!" Ed ducked down, he shut his eyes and pictured Diagon Alley. With a Crack! he disappeared. Another Crack and Ed appeared in Diagon Alley. Ed's laugh of triumph was cut short when he realized he was about ten feet above the ground. Ed landed with a crash, the people around him gasped and looked to see if he was alright. Ed climbed to his feet and straightened his glasses. "I'm alright, I'm ok....Nothing to see here..."
Satisfied everyone went back to their business. "Man, how did I ever pass?" Ed mumbled to himself. Looking around he noticed he was directly in front of Gringrotts. At least one thing went right. Ed walked over to the sign in front of the bank and waited for Dana to show.

Dana turned the corner and let her roll into the Leaky Cauldron. Smiling and shouting ‘thanks’ over her shoulder to two guys who laughed watching her pass on roller-blades, but who had held the pub door open for her, Dana rolled swiftly through the pub. Stopping in front of the brick wall Dana tapped the bricks in the correct order feeling a bit proud of herself for finally more or less learning how to roller-blade correctly. Well at least a bit. She had still fell on the way here two times, so her right knee was scratched.
Slipping into the Diagon Alley, Dana yelped. She hadn’t counted the street of Diagon when she had had the idea of roller-blading here to meet Ed to browsing a book-store. Whoever had built the Diagon Alley had not thought of teenaged witches who wanted to move on eight – four under each roller-blade – little wheels here. Feeling a bit scared Dana managed to fly down the street but she had never before been that glad to see the pillars on both sides of Gringotts door. Reaching out her hands, Dana took hold of the pillar and managed to stop herself successfully.
Sitting down on the stair-step in front of the door to Gringotts slowly and carefully Dana grinned up at Ed, who was already there. “Stormy entrance, sorry. Have you been waiting here for long?” Dana asked in greeting from the older boy, as she reached into her small backpack and brought out shoes before starting to take off the roller-blades, “Maybe coming here with the roller-blades wasn’t a too good idea.” Changing her shoes quickly, Dana used a charm on her roller-blades, making them smaller before pushing them in her bag and jumping up. Dusting off her shorts, Dana smiled at Ed: “Alright, I’m ready. As you know where this bookstore is, you are going to be my guide today.”

Ed stood at the sign for a while and than noticed something moving in the crowd. He leaped to the side as Dana burst through the crowd wearing a pair of roller skates. Ed stepped up next to her on the steps as she started to change shoes. "No, just got here actually." He rubbed the spot he landed on upon his entrance. Ed waited patiently for Dana to finish changing. He grinned. "A tour guide, sounds like fun. Follow me." He turned and walked into the street of busy people.
They walked through the crowd for a while until they stepped out in front of a building. The building was small and squished in between two others. Most people looked over this building as one of the other buildings add ons. Ed walked up to the small door and opened it. He held the door open for Dana and than followed her through. They stepped into a small hall. On their immediate left there was a door with a sign that read, "No Admittance." Ed motioned to the door. "That door leads to the flat above, the owners live there."
He lead Dana down the hallway and they came to a open doorway that lead to stairs leading down. Ed walked down the stairs and they entered what appeared to be a large basement. Next to the steps stood a table with a cash register and a Little old lady sitting at it. "Oh, why hello Ms. Warner." The old lady looked up. "Why hello Edward. I didn't know you were working today?" Ed smiled at the old lady. "Oh no no, not working today." He motioned to Dana. "Just showing a friend your lovely bookshop." He turned to Dana. "Dana, this is Ms. Warner. She and her husband own this place. Excuse us Ms. Warner."
With another nod to Ms. Warner Ed moved farther into the basement. He smiled at Dana. "The layout is simple to understand. Muggle authors are over here, near the entrance. Wizard authors are near the back over there. Wizards who also wrote muggle books are kind of mixed in between." He gave a chuckle and a sheepish grin. "Unfortunately Mr. and Ms. Warner never had the time or energy to sort the books into category's. Thats what I'm here for. For now at least." He looked around at the dusty book shelfs surrounding him. "So, what do you think?"

Dana laughed but followed Ed towards the book store, keeping a keen eye on her surroundings at the same time. Perhaps – and if she liked the store – she would return. And she would have to know how to get here then. Almost passing the house Ed led them too Dana smiled with one corner of her lips. She could certainly see why so many people looked over the small store. Squished between bigger buildings it just didn’t catch your eye. Taking a moment to take the surroundings in Dana smiled gratefully at Ed as he held the door open for her.
Looking around the hallway Dana silently figured that a lot of cleaning work could be done at this place. Make it more costumer-friendly. “Hello, Mrs. Warner,” Dana greeted the woman Ed introduced as Mrs. Warner. Smiling and nodding Dana looked around. The bit colder atmosphere in the basement might be good for books. Preserving them a little better. Looking around the store as Ed explained to her where something was Dana nodded her head. The lay-out made sense. “Mind if I snoop around a bit?” Dana asked before setting off. Wandering between the shelves Dana looked at a few books, even pulling some out and starting to sneeze terribly at dust once.
Finally getting her sneezing under control again Dana returned to Ed who was leafing some book. “Hey, so show me around? Anything especially good around here? I don’t know too much about muggle literature,” Dana said before turning away and sneezing once again. “Sorry about that,” Dana muttered with a shake of her head, “But the store looks fun. It has a good atmosphere – the dust is questionable but it does give something to the atmosphere. I can almost imagine people with long dark clothes reading books here at candle light. Or writing some secret experiments into huge leather-bound books. Or maybe I just have a too vivid imagination. But this store has a certain atmosphere around it. I rather like it.”
