Muggle Park ~Cougar Farmer~

[Annabella Valentine H3]

Annabella smiled as she walked towards, Cedar park. Her friends had told her about this particular park, and said she should check it out. There was a soft breeze blowing causing her, long red hair to blow around her face. She sighed and move the stray pieces, that had wrapped around her face, and looked around. There were benched and lots of trees, a playground and swings. It was so much different then the parks, in her part of London.

She smiled as she made her way to the swings, and sat down and began to gently swing back and forth. She began to think about the coming school year, and what it would bring. She wondered if she would meet any new friends this year. She closed her eyes and began to swing a bit more. Unaware of somebody else approaching the park.

Cougar walked along the treeline to the East side of Cedar Park. He liked coming here to clear his mind. It was quiet, and it smelled of wood, something you don't normally smell in london. He enjoyed coming here and writing till his heart's content. He decided he would cirlce the park a few times, adn find a good place to sit and enjoy the scenery. He watched as birds scurried from branch to branch, and wondered at the sight of a twisted tree that had no doubtedly been in some kind of terrible storm.

Cougar was wearing a pair of blue jeans and a pink Oxford. He liked bright colors, and he liked to look good so he chose this above the other clothes he had. He had his had laying effortlesly swished to one side as he did just so he wouldnt have to worry about styling it. He was just a laid-back kind of guy. He had worked out and ran over the summer and had lost all the excess weight he had had last year. He looked good now. His stomach flat and his arms slightly bulging.

Cougar started looking toward the actual pak and play equipment to the middle of the pak. He never paid it any mind usually. He liked the trees more, so he stayed to the trees. He saw a girl, about his age, with brilliant red hair. Cougar liked mingling with muggles, so he started to her. He slowed a bit as he neared her as to not make any sound. As he got close, He grabbed the two chains of the swing and leaned over and whispered in her ear, "I haven't seen you before. I should know you. I'm Cougar."

I haven't seen you before. I should know you. I'm Cougar."

Annabella opened her eyes when she felt somebody, take hold of the chains to her swing and lean over her, whispering in her ear. She turned around and saw a boy who looked to be around her age, and just slightly taller then her. He had dirty blonde hair which was all to one side, and hazel eyes. She smiled and blushed a bit and said "Hi, my name is Annabella and the reason you havent seen me before, is because this is my first time in this park."

She was about to ask him if he goes to Hogwarts, but she didn't know if he was a regular muggle or wizard, so she decided to feel out the situation first. "So Cougar...do you live around here? Go to school around here?" she asked

She really did hope that he did go and know about Hogwarts, it would give her somebody to talk to about the upcoming school year, and if they were looking forward to it. She bit her bottom lip and turned to him and waited patiently for his reply.

Cougar smiled to the corner of his mouth. It was a lazy smile, but a smile nonetheless. He laughed a bit as he took the swing beside her's. He looked at her for a moment taking in her details. He studied her for a momen before replying, "Yeah I live in London, but I go to a boarding school. It is called Hogwarts, don;t lugh I know it is weird, but it is like an artistic school where they like getting creative and sometimes weird, so..." Cougar looked at her some more before adding,"I didn't started you did I? I always like a big first impression. I must admit that was the first time for me doing that though."

Cougar started swinging a bit, and getting higher as he went. He swung until he was almost going up to the top bar and slid and did a backflip out of the swing. He stood up straight and turned to her, "By the way your hair really brings out your eyes, Ms...?" Cougar ended as he realized he didn;t know her name yet. He looked at her inquisitively.

Annabella smiled and watched as Cougar, smiled at her and then seated himself in the swing beside her. He had looked at her for a few moments before answering her question. The answer he gave was the one, she was looking for.

"Yeah I live in London, but I go to a boarding school. It is called Hogwarts, don;t lugh I know it is weird, but it is like an artistic school where they like getting creative and sometimes weird, so..."

She sighed in relief and looked at him, and smiled and replied back "Oh thank god! I go to Hogwarts as well, I didn't want to say anything before, because I thought that you might be a regular muggle. What house and year are you in? I'm a Hufflepuff and I will be starting my third year." she became a bit happy in knowing, that she had somebody else to talk to from Hogwarts. She shook her head and said "No you didn't startle me...well maybe just a little, but rest assure you made a good first impression." and she smiled at him.

She watched as he swung back and forth, going higher everytime, untill he slid a bit and did a backflip out of the swing, and standing up straight. He then turned to her and made a comment which made her blush a bit. "By the way your hair really brings out your eyes, Ms...?" She blushed a bit more when she realized, that she had not given him her name.

"Valentine, Annabella Valentine. Thank you for that compliment." she said as she began to swing a bit on her own swing.

Cougar couldn't believe he had found another witch out in the big wide world. He sat for a moment in a daze with kind of a smile on his face. He thought of the irony the situation brought. He finally got his bearing to answer the questions flung at him. "Well, I'm a Ravenclaw in my third year as well. I think I have seen you, but I could be wrong. Oh well. I guess we'll see each other now." Cougar ended with a small laugh. He sat down on the ground with one knee up to prop his elbow on while the other was stretched out.

He listened to her answer his question with a James Bond type answer. "Annabella, huh? It is a nice name. It is like Victoria, They both are royalty sounding and they both sound like they were back a few centuries ago. The name comes with history and power. That is great. Mine however just promotes wit, and primal instinct." Cougar ended his discussion on names.

"So, um, do you live around here or? And by the way you said this is your first time in this park? Why'd you come? This isn't usually a good tourist spot." Cougar ended his talking and decided to let her reply to him.

She smiled as he said that, he was in Ravenclaw and in his third year as well. She really lucked out, she had run into another wizard and he was in her year. She was now beginning to think, that she was glad she had listened to her friends, and decided to check out this park. He had said once again, that he thought he had seen her, but he could have been wrong. They would see each other now. She smiled and watched as he sat down on the ground, and propped his elbow up on one knee, before she replied. “Well it is certainly possible, maybe we have passed each other in the hallways, or something it is a big school. And yes we will see each other now, now that we have met and stuff.” She smiled

She stopped swinging for a moment, to listen to him talk about names and what they meant. She was a little surprised to hear that her name sounded like royalty and was from back a few centuries. History and Power? Hmm I like the sound of that she thought to herself. “You sound like you do a lot of research about names and their meanings.” She said as she began to swing again.

“I am from South London actually, Greenwich. And some of my friends mentioned this park and thought I should check it out, so here I am, and it’s a nice park too. Much prettier then some around where I live.” She replied to his question. There were a few moments of silence before she asked “So are you looking forward to the new school year?”

Cougar was surprised that she had thought that he researched names. He smiled to himslef and repied, "No I don't research them, just take what they sound like and add some common sense to them. I mean Victoria is old English royalty, and in the United States Annabellum homes are homes that look really extravagant, so..." Cougar ended hoping to shed some light on her understanding of names. He leaned his head back and soaked in the sun. He loved the sun, but all of the sudden the longing to be back in the woods overtook him. He waited for a chance to mention them.

"This park is beautiful, I love it. I come here alot, but I normally stay in the trees and the trails." Cougar said hoping she'd become interested and want to go into them. "Well as far as school is, I guess I'll be glad to be back. I miss the magic and all the people. Espeacially the women." Cougar said as he clicked his cheek and smiled a bit. "I'm just playing. Anyway, what about you do you miss it as well?" Cougar asked.

She nodded and smiled at his explanation, she understood a little now about what he did, when it came to names. She stopped swinging again and watched him as he, leaned his head back and enjoyed the sun. She had to admit it was rather nice out today. Anybody would be a fool if they didn't take advantage, of the beautiful weather.

She smiled as he told her, that he loved this park and he came here alot. But he would normally stick to the trees and trails. Her ears perked at the mention of trails, she loved walking along trails and seeing different things, she would come across. "They have trails here? can we go to one? I love walking along trails, its so peaceful and calming." she said with a smile.

"Yeah I am looking forward to getting back, into the swing of things and I do miss it alot...it will be nice to be back." she said

Cougar looked around a bit for some of the trails he knew. He looked toward the North side and slightly remembered one he had seen a while back. He decided that would be the one they go on. "I know of one, over there" He said motioning with his head toward the North. We can go on that one." Cougar Looked at her for a reply, but went ahead and nodded the the answer to the question he had previously asked.

"So, um, are you here alone or?" Cougar asked.

Annabella watched and waited as he looked around, most likely looking for a trail. After a few moments he motioned with his head towards the north, and said that he knew of one that way, and that they could go on that one. "Great." she said excitely as she got up and stood beside him, ready to go. Before they left he had asked her, another question.

"In the park you mean? Yeah I'm here alone, my parents are working and none of my friends were around, so here I am. What about you?" she asked.
