“Jami, Jami today’s the day!” Wendi said bouncing on Jamison’s bed. Jamison didn’t appear to be asleep. He scooted up a bit to look at her. Wendi jumped down and started tickling him. “Hey, hey!” Jamison laughed trying to duck under the covers. “So, I’m guessing you’re excited.” Jamison said calmly trying to get through the early morning eye blurriness. Wendi jumped back up standing on the bed. “Oh, no. Not at all.” She said in a cute sarcastic voice as she jumped off the bed and ran out of his room. “Get up!” She called running down the stairs. “Gram, Gramp!” Wendi called running towards her Grandpa. Hey sat up and hugged his grand-daughter. “Hey, pumpkin. Want a flapjack?” Gramp asked handing Wendi the plate as she had already taken a seat. “Yes.” She said glaring at Jamison as he walked down a bit groggy. “Jami didn’t let me have one last time.” She said giving him her rendition of the Evil Eye. Hey laughed at her. Wendi took a fork and jabbed a flapjack, as they called pancakes, from the plate onto her own. Wendi put butter on it and then a glob of maple syrup. “Excited baby doll?” Gram asked taking a bite of her flapjack. Wendi nodded excitedly. “When are Auntie Bell and Jonathan coming over?” Wendi asked cutting her flapjack. “I have no idea.” Her grandmother said shaking her head.
This was the day Wendi had been waiting for all year. Ever since Jamison first suggested the idea. First, the plan had been to go to Rome, but Auntie Bell insisted that Paris was the more logical choice. Auntie Bell traveled the world as a translator. Wendi was absolutely fascinated with her job. She had gone everywhere from the Rainforest to New Zealand. Her son, Jonathan had graduated from Hogwarts a year before from Ravenclaw. He and Jamison were cousins of course and yet very good friends. Jonathan worked along side his mother traveling as he loved it just as Bell did. They had just got back from Russia before they would take the kids on the trip. Wendi of course had invited her good friend Myn along. Originally, the idea had been to take May to Rome, but Wendi hadn’t seen her in a while. Plus, Wendi and Myn had grown closer ever since the attack on Hogwarts where Wendi was injured. Wendi was so excited to see Myn again and for them both to have a grand adventure in Paris. Auntie Bell would be visiting friends there, so Myn and Wendi would be with Jonathan the jokester and good ole Jamison. Wendi didn’t know exactly what they were going to do, but she was still very excited.
Wendi sat in the living room chattering her legs together. She had already changed from her pajamas. Wendi was now sporting a red and black not short, but not long plaid skirt, a cute black cap sleeved shirt, black ballet flats, and her hair down with a black wool beanie on top. This was a very different look for Wendi. Usually her hair was up and she wore bright colors, but she felt as if this look was good for Paris. The living room was right next to the entry way for the house. Wendi sat waiting anxiously for Auntie Bell and Jonathan. “So unreliable them two.” Gram said coming in to the room. Wendi jerked surprised. “Sorry dear.” Gram said noticing that she had scared her grand-daughter. Gram walked over sitting on the couch by Wendi. “Gram, why do you think that?” Wendi asked curiously. Gram sighed. “Because it’s true baby doll. I love your Auntie Bell. She’s my only daughter and I love her, but she has a tendency to act as young as Jonathan. I know she is the baby of the family, but she tends to never be there when you need her to be.” Gram told her calmly. Wendi looked up at her Gram. Gram chuckled. “They are like best friend those two.” Wendi laughed at Gram’s comment. It was so true. Bell wasn’t exactly the motherly type, but Wendi loved her for that.
Twenty minutes later, there was a loud bang from the door. Gram who had been asleep was now wide awake and the dozing Wendi sprinted for the door. She opened it laughing. “Auntie Bell!” She said hugging her aunt. Bell hugged her bag. “Wendi girl. How is my favorite niece?” She asked in a funny tone. “Your only niece is fine.” Wendi laughed. Gran and Gramp had three children. The oldest was Arnold, Wendi and Jamison’s father. He of course married Louise. However, they were both murdered when Wendi was only a year old. The next son was Keith. Keith was the only family member besides Wendi to not be sorted into Ravenclaw. The family hadn’t spoken to him in years since Jamison is convinced that he is the one who murdered his parents. And last was Isabella or Bell who had her only son at the age of sixteen. Bell never married. So, she only had one niece, Wendi. Bell and Jonathan both walked in the door “Hey Gramp, Gram.” Jonathan said giving his grandmother a mug. “So, the wonder two are back!” Gram said laughed. “I guess you could say that.” Bell said sitting down. “Where’s Jamison?” Jonathan asked Wendi. She pointed upward. “Getting dressed.” Jonathan nodded heading for the stairs. “Jamison I’m coming up so have some pants on!” Wendi giggled hearing this from downstairs. Jonathan always made her laugh. “So, Peter Pan. Where’s this friend of yours?” Auntie Bell asked Wendi. Everyone had their own nick names for her. Gram called Wendi baby doll, Gramp called her pumpkin, and Bell called her Peter Pan as in Wendy and Peter. Wendi loved all the nicknames except Jonathan’s nickname for her which was Little Miss Annoying Princess 1998. “She’s coming in half an hour.” Wendi said staring out the window. Yay! Myn’s coming. She thought to herself.
“Auntie Bell how are we getting all the way to Paris?” Wendi asked as Jamison and Jonathan came down the stairs. Bell smiled at her. “Portkeys my dear.” She replied. “Yes, I made them myself. There in the back yard.” Gramp said nodding his head in the direction. “Ohh.” Wendi said getting it now. After a moment of thinking, she cocked her head. “But, won’t muggles see us go up in the air or something like that?” Wendi asked. She had never seen a portkey, but she had heard about them from Jamison. Gram nodded. “That’s why the backyard has a shield so muggles just see a plain back yard and nothing more. Sort of like what the have for when muggles near Hogwarts.” She smiled. Wendi nodded getting everything now. She knew that her grandparents had spells on the house. She had just never asked about them. Of course, Wendi lived in the center of muggle London. Her grandparents had all sorts of spells to keep muggles from being curious. Wendi just didn’t know about them. The grownups all talked for a minute when Wendi heard the doorbell ring. She jumped up smiling and ran towards the door. She laughed opening it.

"Dad." Myn poked her father firmly and rolled her eyes when he didn't so much as twitch. "Daddy!" Nothing. Not even a blink or a twitch. Her gaze strayed to the glass on the bedside table and Myn giggled quietly, grabbing the glass and creeping into the bathroom. The glass was filled with cold water quickly and thrown over her father within seconds. "Imp!" Myn's father spluttered, wiping the water away from his face blearily and grabbing his daughter around the waist and pulling her into a hug. Myn grinned and snuggled into his embrace contentedly. Her relationship with her father, and the rest of her family, had improved a lot since they moved into their new house in London. It was a lot bigger than their old house, and much too big for just the four of them, but it suited them. Even Sleet was happy with all of the squirrels running around and the birds flying around in the garden, and that kitten was extremely hard to please. "You're going to have fun, right Imp? Enjoy yourself and have fun with your friend. And stay safe. What would I do if my darling Imp got hurt, eh?" Karl teased his daughter, hiding his concern behind the joking words and tone. This was the first time that she would be going anywhere without him and he was doubly concerned because of the divorce. Sure, Myn seemed to be holding up well but he was still worried about her. "Of course I'll have fun! I always do when I'm with Wendi. She's fun and a really good friend." Myn grinned but snuggled further into her fathers hug. It would be strange to be separated from him but she was glad that she'd agreed to go.
Myn bounced away from the bed and hurried downstairs, a few minutes later. First, to feed Sleet and then she was free to do whatever she wanted until she was called for breakfast. Myn fed the kitten quickly and skipped out to the garden, throwing herself onto the hammock carelessly and staring up at the sky. Clouds drifted past lazily and Myn grinned peacefully. She knew that her dad was worried about her and she understood why. He expected her to be broken up about her mothers disappearance but she had grieved at school. She had grieved and she had been comforted by various friends.Wendi, Dare, May. All had helped her and she had wracked her brain, thinking of a way to repay them but had come up with nothing. How could she repay people who had rebuilt her soul and helped to mould her into the changed girl that she was now? She was a little more open about her emotions, a little more self confident, a little bit stronger and she didn't hold people in as low regard as she had before. And the biggest change, she knew more about loss than before. Her thoughts were interrupted by a yell from her father, informing her that breakfast was ready and that she'd better get in before it got cold. Myn grinned and rolled off the hammock, breaking the fall with her hands and pushing herself into a run. Breakfast was always a fun affair nowadays. Her Aunt and cousin were staying with them and they lightened up the mood.
Myn entered the dining room and slipped into a seat, after smiling at her Aunt Kerry and ruffling her cousins hair carelessly. Mark was a few years younger than her and she was certain that he'd get into Hogwarts. Hopefully, he would. It would be fun to have him with her. Aunt Kerry and Mark had only moved in with Myn and her dad this summer but Myn had already grown close to Mark and was protective of him. Evidently, not protective enough to not steal his food, as Myn grabbed a piece of toast from his plate and smirked at her cousins mock-annoyed look. Kerry chuckled and pushed some bacon and sausages onto Myns plate, smacking her sons hand when he reached for Myns plate in retaliation. Mark scowled playfully and stuck his tongue out before being rewarded by another smack on the hand from his mother. "When do you have to leave?" Mark asked sorrowfully, downcast at the thought of his favourite cousin leaving. Myn glanced at her watch carelessly and swallowed her mouthful of bacon before answering. "I still have an hour, Mark. I'll play with you for half an hour, get dressed and then I have to leave. Want to go to the park for a while, after breakfast? But then I'll have to get dressed again later, since I can't go to the park in my pajamas." Myn giggled cheerfully, not letting her cousins sadness bring her down. She'd miss him just as much as he'd miss her but she couldn't let him spoil her trip to Paris.
A few minutes later and Mark was dragging Myn away from her breakfast insistently. Aunt Kerry opened her mouth to interfere and tell her son to let Myn finish her breakfast but Myn shook her head slightly. She didn't usually eat breakfast anyway so it wasn't a change for her to miss the meal. Mark sat in the hammock gently and gestured for his cousin to jump in too. Myn lifted an eyebrow but shrugged and obeyed. Marks black kitten, Jackal, was playing with Sleet in the grass and Myn smiled delightedly, glad to see the two getting along so well. "I got this for you," Mark smiled shyly and pushed a wrapped up present into his cousins hand gently. Myn pulled him into a hug immediately, reminded of just why she adored her nine year old cousin so much. He was adorably shy but also had an impish streak. "Open it?" Mark requested quietly, smiling slightly when Myn nodded and ripped the wrapping paper in her haste to reach the present within. Myn reached a box and opened it slowly, a soft gasp escaping as she saw the necklace. It was beautiful; a delicate silver chain and a silver circular pendant with an 'M' spelled out in deep purple amethysts. "It came from the family vault. According to Mum it was our great great grandmothers or something like that." Mark shrugged bashfully. "That could be right," Myn remarked thoughtfully, "her name was Maria or something of the kind." Myn lifted the necklace from the box gently and bowed her head, silently asking Mark to put it on for her. He grinned happily and clasped it around her neck gently. "Thanks." Myn kissed the top of her cousins head gently, knowing how much confidence he would've had to stir up to give it to her.
"We have to go! Myn!" Kerry sighed impatiently, the car keys jingling in her hand. She was the only one who could drive - Mark and Myn being too young and her brother not being bothered enough to learn - and so she was the one chosen to drive her niece to Wendi's house. "Coming!" Myn jumped down the stairs and landed in front of her Aunt silently, straightening her skirt self-consciously. Aunt Kerry had taught her that skirts weren't the enemy if they were the right cut and fabric. So Myn was wearing a black skirt that ended just above her knees, a sleeveless red top and a black beret covering her loose brown hair. Some resembling her usual appearance but also suitable for Paris. "You look wonderful, dear." Kerry patted her niece's head gently and ushered her outside to the car. They were already running late but Kerry's reckless driving would make sure that they were there on time.
"We'll be late!" Myn worried, glancing at her watch for the third time in a minute. Kerry, irritated by the constant reminder of their lateness, glared at her niece. "We won't be late!" They skidded to a halt seconds later and Kerry smiled triumphantly. "See? Not late!" Myn rolled her eyes and jumped out of the car, brushing at her clothes and fiddling with her beret. "Sweetheart," Kerry laid a hand over Myn's calmingly. "You look great. Now go. Have fun and stun some French guys. And if you see any older ones...you know where to send them." Kerry winked and kissed her nieces cheek before speeding away. Myn grinned weakly before lifting her chin determinedly and walking to the door. She could handle this. She was good friends with Wendi and she'd met Jamison before, albeit briefly. She could handle knocking on the door. Myn sighed and almost turned away before regathering her courage and pressing the doorbell. "Wendi!" Myn grinned, always happy to see her friend and her excitement about going to Paris returning.

"Myn!" Wendi giggled letting her friend into the house. Wendi laughed looking at Myn's outfit. They outfits were very similar as they were both wearing black and red. "Well, black and red are the new fall colors." Wendi joked. She actually had no idea about the going ons of fashion. Wendi just wore whatever she felt like no matter what the "fashionable thing" was to wear. Wendi's fashion was usually bright, bold, cute, and comfy. Wendi closed the door behind Myn laughing. "Myn we're going to Paris!" Wendi nearly screamed. She couldn't even believe it herself. Wendi had never really traveled too much like bell and Jonathan had. She wished she could go to places like Zimbabwe, Mexico, and China. But, Paris was a fair start. Bell and Jonathan had the chance to travel the world and explore new things. They promised Wendi if they were still traveling when she got out of Hogwarts then she could defiantly come with them for a year or two. Jamison himself already had plans for a years worth of travel after his seventh year. Then, he planned on working with The Ministry against the very people who killed his parents. Wendi smiled at Myn. Paris! Paris! How she adored even saying that word. She couldn't wait to explore the city, enjoy the culture, and of course eat the food. Wendi was stashed with muggle money Bell had gotten for them all. She had never used it before, but she was very eager to try something simply muggle. Wendi loved muggles and their items. She just found it all extremely fascinating. Wendi's eyes looked out the window for a brief moment looking at the muggles.
Wendi led Myn over to the living room. "Myn, meet the Parson clan." She said laughing. "My Gram and Gramp." She said pointing to them. "My cousin Jonathan and Auntie Bell." She said pointing as Bell made a funny face at the sound of her name. "And I think you know Jamison." She said as Jamison nodded. They had met atleast once according to Wendi's mind, but she could be wrong. Then again, Wendi was following Jamison around a lot at Hogwarts, especially during the weekends. Wendi looked at her grandparents. "You guys aren't going right?" Wendi asked giving a sad look. "We are too old for that pumpkin." Gran explained. "You all go and have fun." Wendi nodded giving a small smile. They would indeed. "When are we leaving?" Jamison asked. He was just ready to go through the city. Bell looked at her wristwatch. She made a low humming sound for a brief moment. "About now." She said standing up. "Everyone ready?" Bell asked. Wendi nodded her head happily. Wendi turned to Myn. "We're taking portkeys." She said laughing. Wendi had never used one so this was exciting for her. "Okay to the backyard everyone." Bell said leaving the room.
Wendi led Myn through the house to the small backyard. Well, the house was located right in the dead center of muggle London. There were a few wizard houses here and there. Jamison had met one Gryffindor girl named Cathy back in winter. She lived just down the street for them. So, the yard wasn't much at all. Wendi turned to Myn. "See, I always think someone is gonna see us leaving, but Gram says that they have magical charms over the whole house." Wendi shook her head slightly. "And I didn't even know." She giggled. Wendi knew her grandparents had went to Hogwarts back in the day, but she hadn't seen them do magic in a long, long time. She guessed that they thought Jamison and Wendi were in that world enough so they didn't need to be exposed to it any further. But, Wendi had always wondered what they looked like doing it. Plus, she was quite curious as to what sorts of spells they had mastered. Wendi really just wanted to sit in the pile of sand, but she resisted knowing her outfit would get dirty. This was it. Watch out Paris. Here comes Myn and Wendi.
"Okay you two gather round the portkey.: Bell demanded as they rest of them were about to. Wendi looked over at Myn and then ran for it. Wendi hadn't even noticed it was there. Portkeys were objects made to take wizards places. They were just normal objects with spells put on them. This one seemed to be a tin can. Wendi laughed taking hold of it. She glanced over at Myn smiling. She had no idea how this would feel. "Three, two, on..." Bell couldn't even finish her little count down as they were all lifted in the air. They were spinning fast and Wendi couldn't see a thing. It was just a vortex of colors. Wendi tried to close her eyes but it just made her dizzy. She had no idea where they would be landing. Wouldn't people see them? This she was afraid of, but then again she heard her aunt could do a great memory loss charm. There was another minute or so of spinning. Finally, Bell yelled. "Okay, everyone let go!" Wendi was scared as they were in the air it seemed. "Let go girls!" Bell yelled again as it seemed as Jamison had already done so. Wendi let go. She was failing, falling, falling. Finally she heard her hit the ground. It hurt for a moment. She sat up watching her aunt and Jonathan come down gracefully as the three kids were on the ground in pain. "Myn?" Wendi said looking over to her friends.
"Welcome to outside of Paris girls." Bell said now on the ground. Wendi immediately got up and helped Myn. "Outside of Paris?" She gave a shocked look. Wendi looked around. They seemed to be in an empty field. "Well, we couldn't exactly fall out of the sky in Paris." She laughed. "So, how will we get there?" Jamison asked getting up. "We will apparate behind a building by the Eiffel Towel. Well, me and Jonathan will apparate you guys there. "Jamison no Apparation License yet?" She asked. Jamison shook his head. "Not until February." Wendi cocked her head. "Why didn't you up apparate us straight to that building in Paris?" She asked confused. "Because this was more fun." She laughed. Wendi shook her head. "I disagree." Bell ignored her. "Ok, Wendi and Myn grab my hands and we will be in Paris shortly." Bell said in a nice tone. "Jamison take Jonathan's hand." They both gave each other a long. "Fine, but don't get friendly." Jonathan joked to Jamison. "Shut up." Jamison said hitting him lightly on the head. "Jamison doesn't want you. He has Meyghan." Wendi laughed. Jonathan looked at Jamison curiously. "Jamison has a girl toy. Oh this I must here about." He joked. "Oh, be quiet." Jamison said knowing Jonathan just wanted to know if she was pretty. Jamison and Jonathan took hands weirdly. Bell looked at the girls. "Ready?" She asked. Wendi nodded. "Off to Paris!" Wendi had apparated with family before, but she still wasn't quite used to it. Wendi heard a pop and she watched as everything swirled again. It took a shorter amount of time for them to stop. Finally, they were in Paris.
Bell looked at them all. "Well, I'm off to a friend's house. Jonathan is in charge. It's twelve now. Be back here by four so we can catch an early hopefully waiting free dinner." Bell said nodding and with a pop, she was gone. Wendi looked at Jonathan. "Where to first?" She asked. Jonathan shook his head. "You and Myn can choose." He said calmly. Wendi turned around to face Myn. "Ok, where do you want to go. "We have the Eiffel Tower, shopping, L'Arc de Triumph, and whatever." She laughed getting excited. "So, any ideas?" Wendi asked laughing. The were in Paris! They had made it to Paris. This would be the best day ever!

"Oh yes," Myn grinned impishly, immediately striking a playful pose. "We are officially in fashion. But we always are since we set our own trends and everyone else follows our example." She laughed easily, her right hand dropping from her skirt where she had been fiddling with it uncomfortably. Kerry may have taught her that skirts weren't all bad but that didn't mean that she was completely comfortable with them after only a few days. Not when she had despised them for years and was still wearing them under protest. The main relief was that Wendi had either not noticed her skirt or had noticed it but had the tact to not say anything about it yet. And at least she got to wear her usual colours. Black, red and occasionally purple were the colours that she'd often be found wearing and Myn was glad that Kerry hadn't tried to force her into a different colour - even if she did have to wear a skirt. "I know! This is going to be so cool! Paris!" Myn smiled excitedly, barely resisting the urge to grab Wendi's hands and start jumping around like a complete and utter idiot. It was just so exciting. Paris...Paris... Culture and books and a new language and...Paris! Myn idly wondered if there was a hidden wizard population in Paris as there was in London before rolling her eyes in self-annoyance. Of course there would be! Hadn't she already made up her mind that pure-blooded wizards couldn't survive in the muggle world without help? Muggle Paris would be interesting of course but Myn had lived as a muggle for eleven years - it was the wizarding side of Paris that she was really interested in. Still, she was willing to bet her beloved kitten on the fact that Wendi wasn't used to muggles and would be more interested in muggle Paris. Ah well, it wasn't important. The muggle side would be just as interesting as the wizarding part and she could always persuade Kerry or her dad to take her to see the wizarding parts of Paris later on in the summer. Nothing would spoil today for Myn.
Myn followed behind Wendi slowly, suddenly shy at the thought of meeting the family of one of her closest friends. An adorably shy smile appeared when Wendi introduced her grandparents but slightly more interest was taken in Jonathan, Bell and Jamison. So they were the three who would be taking her to Paris. Her green eyes were slightly warmer when they flicked past Jamison to study a table nervously, remembering the worry he had shown for his sister when she was in the Hospital Wing. Worry flickered through her own eyes quickly. What had she been thinking - what had her father been thinking? The only person she actually trusted here was Wendi. Don't be an idiot, Myn reassured herself silently, rolling her eyes once more. What are they going to do? Kidnap me and torture me for all of my information? ...I have to stop watching so much television. Myn smiled to herself, her eyes glittering with silent amusement. It was rather funny when phrased like that and definitely calmed her down. She'd been worrying over nothing - again.
She followed Wendi once more, but this time to the backyard and with slightly more confidence than she had shown before. "I guess they didn't think it important for you to know or they reckoned that you'd have figured it out for yourself. Wizarding household...magic. Not a hard link to make." Myn retorted dryly. She didn't mean any offense to her friend - she was just a naturally sarcastic person. Slightly more so now than she had been when she had entered Hogwarts but things had changed and so had she. In more ways than one. In all actuality, Myn had no idea whether there were wards and spells on her house but now she rather suspected that there were. Well, two fully qualified adults and two defenseless children. Wards weren't really inconceivable considering the circumstances. Especially when Kerry and her dad would do anything in their power to keep her and Mark safe. Yes, wards were almost definitely shielding the house and the backyard, Myn decided. But there was no point to thinking about it any further and so Myn shifted the topic to the back of her mind absent-mindedly.
Portkey? Well, there was the answer to her unspoken question of how they were getting to Paris. It had been a rather absurd suggestion by her cousin that they were going by airplane and this explained Kerrys snort of derision and her fathers sudden bout of laughter. She and Mark had just exchanged a raising of eyebrows and questioning looks before silently agreeing that their respective parent was completely insane and not to be concerned about. It was rather a strange arrangement really, Myn mused silently. She now had a mother figure in the form of an Aunt and Mark had a better father figure than his true father had ever been, in the form of her own father. In return, she had a brother figure and Mark had a sister to watch out for him. But it was an arrangement that suited them and that was all that mattered. Myn giggled as Wendi ran toward a tin can, which Myn assumed was the portkey, and chased after her quickly, grabbing the portkey just after Wendi did. Her quiet laugh of accepted defeat was cut off as the world started spinning and Myn closed her eyes tightly, letting the magic take hold and spin her around. Let go? Myn almost let out a squeak of terror. If she let go then she'd fall to her death! She could practically feel herself floating through the air. Still, she had promised to obey Wendi's family and so she let go, giving into the feeling of falling unwillingly. Her head smacked against the ground and Myn let out a groan of pain, rubbing the back of her head gingerly. The actual journey wasn't that bad. It was just the end part that made Myn wary of ever taking another portkey. Wendi called her name and Myn opened her eyes slightly, glaring at her friend fiercely. "Ow." She wasn't angry with Wendi, she was just in pain and trying hard not to show it.
Outside of Paris? Myn almost groaned again. Hopefully it wouldn't mean another excruciating trip that involved her head meeting the hard ground at a high speed but anything was possible. Myn grinned weakly and allowed Wendi to haul her up, grateful for the help since she didn't think she could've gotten up without falling down again. Apparation. Well, that wasn't so bad. At least she'd been involved in apparation before. Myn silently thanked Kerry for insisting that she needed to learn more about the world that was now hers and making her join in the group apparation with Mark. Her Aunt hadn't been pleased with her father for leaving her wizarding education so late but Myn was the one who had to pay the price this summer. Eh. Mark was there to suffer alongside her, which cheered Myn up greatly. And she'd been working on persuading her dad to let a few friends come around this summer. Wendi and May definitely but perhaps Zach too. Myn winced delicately, wondering whether it would be best to keep Zach away from Wendi. She didn't think that he'd take too kindly to spending a day with a Hufflepuff. Myn frowned slightly and shrugged dismissively. That was his problem. They'd all be invited on the same day and if he chose not to come then she had at least attempted her task. Myn was dragged from her thoughts by an order from Bell and obeyed immediately, taking the womans hand trustingly. The exchange between Jamison and Jonathan brought yet another grin to her face when it reminded her of the playful teasing that she inflicted upon Mark and the remarks he occasionally retaliated with.
Myn lifted an eyebrow as Bell apparated away but shrugged carelessly. Four hours. Myn pondered the pro's and con's to allowing them four hours to explore. It gave them enough time to look around and explore basically everything that they wanted to but it wouldn't give them enough time to get into real trouble. Darn. Myn smirked slightly. Trouble was the best thing to cause at times but now her attention was completely centered on Paris and the wonders hidden within the city. Her smirk widened playfully as Jonathan gave the two girls the chance to choose their first destination. "Well, shopping is most definitely the first thing on our list." Myn flicked an impish glance toward the two boys before leaning slightly closer to Wendi and lowering her voice slightly but keeping it still loud enough for the two boys to hear her words. "Especially since most boys despise shopping."

Wendi laughed at Myn’s comment. Paris, Paris! They were in Paris! Wendi had never been anywhere outside of the United Kingdom before. This was such a new experience for her. It was one that would surely go in her head and last her a life time. Wendi tilted her head a bit to look around the corner to the city. They were hidden behind a not so pretty building. Hmpf. Wendi just wished that they could have just apparated straight there. Wendi didn’t exactly like portkeys. In fact, they were her new arch nemesis. That’s right Wendi was now officially apposed to them. Hmm. She thought. Maybe I should start an Anti Portkey Society. She giggled to herself. Adults could walk through the air gracefully, but not students. Nope, they had to go through the pain that was falling over a hundred feet. Geez, and wizard kids are supposed to have fun with all the doo dads of the Wizarding World. Wendi smiled. This would be a great adventure despite the previous pain oh yes it would. Wendi had Myn to take around the city with her and they would have a grand time. This she was sure of. Wendi looked at Jamison and Jonathan. Could they ditch them? This was probably impossible, but Wendi wished they could just do their own thing, but then she realized that no twelve year old would be allowed in Paris alone.
Wendi giggled at Myn’s comments. She nodded laughing. “But, yes of course. Shopping in Paris! I could never pass that up.” Wendi laughed looking towards Jamison and Jonathan who didn’t seem to be paying attention at all. Wendi laughed walking over to them. “Oh Jamison, Jonathan have I told you how lovely you both look today?” Wendi asked making her accent sound as French as possibly. Well, maybe flattery would work. Or maybe not. They both knew her too well. “What do you want Wendi?” They both said in unison. Wendi laughed. Why did they know her so well? Oh right, right. They were family. Note to self: Make family confused more often. Wendi said in her mind. She laughed looking at the two. “Well, me and Myn here defiantly want to go shopping. She said giving them a cute little smile. They both sighed. “C’mon boys you both would look so handsome tonight in some new clothes.” Wendi said smiling. “Plus, Jamison you can get Meyghan a gift.” Wendi said with bright eyes. Jamison didn’t like Wendi making fun of him and Meyghan, but she did it often. “So, why do I have a little sister again?” Jamison asked Jonathan joking. “Cause she looks so cute on the family portrait.” He said snickering. Jamison nodded. “Oh, that’s right.” Jamison said laughing. “I love you both too.” Wendi said in a sort of mean tone. The boys both sighed. “Ok, let’s go shopping.” Jonathan said calmly. “Yay.” Wendi said looking over at Myn. “Now this will be a great day.”
Jamison and Jonathan started making other plans for the day so Wendi looked at Myn. She pulled something out of her pocket. “Muggle Money.” She sighed. “It’s so cool.” Wendi laughed. It was weird for her to like muggle money so much, but she did come from a family of pure-bloods. Wendi didn’t know too much about the muggle world, but she was fascinated with all of it. She actually was very fascinated with it. Wendi smiled at Myn and then looked at Jonathan. “Ok, let’s go.” She said calmly. “Are we walking?” Wendi asked. Jonathan shook his head. “No, I think we should try the metro.” Wendi smiled and looked at Myn. “Cool.” She said. “Ok, girls let’s walk there.” Jamison said. Wendi started to follow him. They soon turned the corner of the building they were behind. Wendi stared over to Myn. “So, ever been to Paris?” She asked calmly. Wendi was so happy to be in Paris especially with Myn. May and Myn were Wendi’s closest friend’s and Wendi couldn’t ask for better ones. A friend that bring you presents only hours after an attack on you at school was a friend you would want to keep. Wendi smiled at Myn this would certainly be the perfect day. Wendi just knew it in her veins. Wendi looked at the Eiffel Tower as they passed it. “Wow.” She said gazing at it as they walked on. Wendi truly loved this.
Only moments later the four were faced with a Metro Entrance. “Wow that was fast.” Wendi giggled towards Myn. She looked at the boys ahead of her. They were talking about something. Wendi leaned closer to whisper to Myn. “Let’s fine out what they are talking about. She said laughing while drawing closer to the boys. “C’mon man tell me about her.” Jonathan begged Jamison. “Please, Jon. I’m not like you. I don’t go after tons of girls and beg for numbers. I like Meyghan.” Jamison told him. Wendi giggled. “Fine, but just tell me about her.” Wendi laughed looking at Myn. “She’s really nice and she has a cute brother and a pretty house.” Wendi said giggling. Jonathan looked at her. “Thanks Wendi girl.” He said patting her on the head. “Hey, hey. I’m not a dog!” Wendi called. “Whatever.” Jonathan said laughing. He looked at Jamison. “Man, I get more from your sister than you.” Jonathan laughed. “Hey look the subway.” Jamison said seeing an easy exit from the conversation. Wendi smiled looking at Myn. “Ha, gotta love being a loyal sister.” Wendi joked walking down the steps to the subway. Once the got to the bottom, Jonathan bought all the tickets and they all went through the gaits. Wendi smiled. They all walked further to the take off of their particular subway and they waited for it to arrive. “So, what are you thinking of buying?” Wendi asked Myn happily. A minute later, the subway arrived and they all went in. Wendi took an available seat and she smiled at Myn. “I’ve never been on a subway. Just the train to school. I feel like a little bitty kid learning new stuff.” Wendi giggled. “I love this. I love traveling.” Wendi laughed. “Have you ever really been to another country before?” Wendi asked smiling.

Myn grinned, watching Wendi walk over to her brother and cousin before attempting to flatter them. Which failed wonderfully. Ah well. Such things happened when people knew each other too well. There was only a seconds hesitation before Myn shrugged and skipped toward the three, stopping next to Wendi. Jamison and Jonathan were fairly intimidating to the rather shy girl but Myn knew that she had to combat her shyness and there was no time like the present, right? "Handsome?" Myn arched an eyebrow teasingly and grinned at Jamison and Jonathan laughingly. "Are you sure that you're looking at the right people, Leprechaun?" Myn laughed, unable to stop her eyes flicking to the two boys nervously. It was doubtful that they would take offense at her words but Myn just needed to make sure. They took offense at her words and the trip was over before it had really started. And Myn hadn't gone through that darned port-key ride for no reason! This was her first time seeing Paris and her shyness wasn't going to ruin the trip by keeping her away from the family of one of her closest friends. "It was going to be a great day anyway! Torturing your brother and cousin will just make it better. Paris has lots and lots and lots of shops..." Myn grinned impishly, showing exactly why her father and aunt called her an imp so often. A great sense of fun appeared if she let herself relax enough to show it.
Wendi's fascination with muggle money brought another laugh from Myn. To her, it was just normal money that she had used daily until her eleventh birthday but she had to remember that Wndi was a pure-blood and so the wizarding money that had seemed so peculiar to Myn, was completely normal to Wendi. Why wizards and witches couldn't just use ordinary money was one thing that Myn just didn't understand. Surely it was better than the confusion that muggle-borns, and muggle-raised half-bloods, went through when they were accepted into the wizarding world? "Hmm? Oh, no. Paris is one of the many places that I've never been to. I've been to Spain, Ireland, Scotland and Wales though. I've always wanted to go to France. France and Italy. But Spain is wonderful; there's so many different places to go to and they all have different ways of life. We go there quite often so I've picked up quite a lot of Spanish but I'm nowhere near fluent in the language." Myn shrugged, smiling slightly as she remembered the holidays that she had enjoyed with her parents. "We'll probably go to Spain or Ireland for the last week of summer so I can try to persuade Dad and Kerry to let me invite you and May, if you want." Myn offered quietly, turnng her head to gaze at the Eiffel Tower. It was magnificent. Simply amazing.
Myn nodded slightly, easily keeping pace with her friend as the two crept closer to the two boys. The topic of conversation made her laugh quietly. Apparently Jonathan was trying to weasel information from Jamison about a girl called Meyghan - who Myn guessed was either Jamisons girlfriend or the girl he wanted to be his girlfriend. And of course, Wendi was eager to embarrass her brother. Rather like Mark was always trying to embarrass her, Myn noted with amusement. It was strange how close she and her cousin had become in such a short amount of time but sometimes these things just happened. There was no reason for it and no explanation. If she had believed in fate or destiny then Myn would have put it down to that. But she didn't, so it was merely chance and similar personalities. "Hmm. I'm not really sure what I'm going to buy." Myn shrugged carelessly. "If I see something that calls out to me then I'll buy it. It's just good to be in Paris with one of my best friends," Myn grinned and poked Wendi lightly before boarding the subway and sitting down on the seat next to Wendi. "I've been on the subway a few times. It can be fun watching the different people that come on. I always try to figure out where they could be going by observing them and looking at what they're carrying." Myn tilted her head toward a rather nervous-looking young man with a bouquet of roses on his lap. "He's going to see someone and he's nervous. The roses aren't red so it's unlikely that he's going to see his girlfriend. But all the other signs point to a date so perhaps he wants to make a good impression." Myn smiled at the man warmly, knowing that he probably wouldn't understand what she was saying to her friend, before turning back to Wendi. "It might seem strange but when have I ever pretended to be normal?" Myn laughed.

Wendi laughed as Myn asked if Wendi was sure she was calling the right people handsome. “Right you are Myn.” She giggled. “Besides, Jonathan can’t even keep a girlfriend for more than a week. How can he be handsome?” She teased. Jonathan smirked walking over to her. “Hey, you pushed it now Little Miss Annoying Princess 1998!” He joked walking up to Wendi and picking her up. “Hey, I have a skirt on!” She yelled. “Oh right.” Jon said putting her down. “Thankies.” She commented giving him her rendition of the evil eye. Wendi liked to joke with her cousin. Maybe too me, but what was the point in having a cousin you couldn’t joke with? Wendi laughed at Myn as she said it would be fun torturing her cousin and her brother. “Oh course it will be. I wouldn’t have survived life with a big brother if it hadn’t been for my jokes.” She laughed. Well, it as very true. Jamison and Wendi joked around all the time, but deep down she loved him. He was her brother after all. In the future they would only have each other and they both knew it. One day it would be Jamison and Wendi alone to face the world. Wendi knew this at a young age, but the time was getting closer. One day her life of luxury with her grandparents would end and she and Jamison would have to find a new path of life. This was reality.
Wendi smiled as Myn talked about all the places she had been to. “No fair!” She laughed. “Well, I’ve been to Scotland, but basically that’s it besides England of course. And now Paris.” She sighed thinking. “My mum and dad traveled a lot or so Jamison has told me, but I haven’t been many places.” Wendi looked back on the few memories she had of her parents. Were they even real? She didn’t know. She was so young when it happened. Wendi laughed when Myn talked about inviting Wendi and May to Spain or Ireland. “But, of course!” Wendi burst out. “I’ve always wanted to go somewhere outside of London. I spend too much time there in the summer.” She laughed. The idea of Spain or Ireland seemed so good for the moment. Wendi knew when she got older she could travel the world with Bell and Jonathan, but she didn’t know if she would. Oh well. Time would tell. It only took moments before the four were at the Metro Entrance and then they were seated. Wendi laughed as it started moving. She giggled aloud listening to Myn speak. Wendi smiled as she talked about Wendi being one of her best friends. “Ditto.” She called. “Yea, I guess I have a particular style of clothes and things that I like for me. If they don’t fit the Wendi cut, then they stay on the shelf.” She laughed while explaining.
Wendi laughed as Myn told her what she liked to do on the subway. “No, I think it’s fun. Hey, I’m not exactly normal either. So, at least we can be weird together.” Wendi said calmly. “I wanna try.” She went on. She searched through the crowd of people to find lady in a black suit with black pumps and peal accessories. She was carrying a briefcase and talking on one of those muggle cell phones. Actually, she was screaming. “Ok, a woman on an outing for her boss who can’t get what her boss once.” She said soundly. She looked the woman over. “Yea, that sounds right.” She smiled. It didn’t take long at all for the Metro to half. “C’mon girls this is our stop.” Jonathan explained leading the girls out for the subway. “That was really, really fast!” Wendi exclaimed walking besides Myn. Not too long after, the four of them were out from the darkness of the Metro Station and into the sunlight. Wendi smiled. She looked at the street they were on with all the shops. “Ok, you girls lead the way.” Jonathan told then. Wendi nodded picking a direction. She looked at the stores as they passed. Wendi looked over at Myn. “Pick a store. I can’t choose!” She giggled looking a the windows on every store. Wendi waited for Myn to respond.

Myn grinned lightly, amused by Wendi's teasing of her cousin. It showed that they were close which, after Myn's hectic family life, was good to see. It was pelasing to know that not all families went wrong, even if hers did. Myn tilted her head gently, her dark green eyes remaining fixed on Wendi as her friend talked. It was obviously going to be a delicate subject that she would have to use tact for. She only knew that Wendi's parents were dead - and now that they had traveled a lot. Unless Jamison had lied to his little sister, which wasn't likely. After all, what reason would he have for lying? Wendi's outburst brought another bright smile to Myn's face, ever amused by the energetic nature of her friend. It was strange really, Myn mused absent-mindedly. Her personality was so completely different from Wendi's and yet they were friends. Good friends. It was strange, but it pretty much guaranteed that she would never be bored.
"I'd say that I knew what you meant about being stuck in London during the summer, but I don't." Myn shrugged slightly. Traveling was pretty much a way of life for her and had been for as long as she could remember. Every summer had been a different adventure until Myn had decided which places were her favourites. When she was older then she was definitely going to travel. "Traveling is always something that has always been in my life," Myn explained easily, occasionally waving a hand to emphasise her words. Which was a very Myn-ish thing to do, as Wendi had probably already noticed. "I hate staying in one place for too long, which makes Hogwarts rather irritating at times. But we learn so many interesting things there, so staying there for so many months doesn't seem as hard." Myn paused for a few moments, a thoughtful frown adorning her face. "We'll probably go to Spain next year, which will probably be when you and May will come with us. My Dad likes to arrange things in advance when it comes to other children, in case anything happens. But Spain is always wonderful."
"Yeah! We can start a club of weirdness!" Myn laughed, her right hand automatically rising to tug at a strand of her hair gently. It was just something that she did; rather like a nervous habit but she didn't just do it when she was nervous. "Your guess sounds right." Myn nodded, her eyes flicking to the woman in question quickly. "The subway generally is fast. Much faster than walking and definitely better than portkeys," Myn added darkly, barely resisting the urge to rub her head at the reminder of her head smacking against the ground. Sheesh, that had hurt. Well the ground was hard. Of course it would hurt. "Pick a store." Myn pondered the choices before shrugging, closing her eyes and twirling around quickly, pointing her hand at a random shop once she had stopped twirling. It was a fun way to choose a shop when visiting a new place, albeit not her usual way of deciding. "That shop!" Myn grinned, stepping back to let the two boys take the lead if they wished.
