Gaenor squinted his eyes into the rising sun before sending his eyes downwards over the village that was wrapped in a mist. Finishing a cup of coffee in Dana’s company Gaenor summoned a house-lf and gave a few orders which were filled with perfect accuracy just a few moments later and Gaenor headed towards the stables holding a hammer, a piece of wood and a few nails to repair the feeding-house that he had seen yesterday. The hammer lazily swinging in his hand – Kris didn’t allow magic to fix the feeding-houses – Gaenor headed towards the stables. The old stable-master rode past Gaenor just before the stable-doors and the two greeted each other with a bow before the old man left leaving Geanor to handle himself. Entering the stables that were quite dim with only the scarce light form the open door streaming in Gaenor hesitated for a moment before decidedly walking to Basquez once again. Taking hold of the bridle on his head just like all the other horses had it Gaenor led the horse outside before returning to the stable once to fetch the saddle and reigns.
Taking a brush Gaenor set off to work whistling a random tune working with swiftness that showed experience as she brushed the reddish coat of the stallion who stood still quite patiently. Horse needed to be brushed before saddled after all and Gaenor quite enjoyed the small task. He quite often liked some physical labour just like Kris, which most surely also explained how Gaenor managed to stay fit, despite eating what he wanted when he wanted. And he didn’t exactly have a small appetite either. Basquez snickered quietly and a few moments later GAenor’s ears caught the sound of someone stepping on the stones as well making him glance over his shoulder curiously to see who had came here from the castle.
For a few moments Gaenor merely gazed but seeing the look sent to Basquez the comment died on his lips. Shaking his head Gaenor turned back to the brush calling over his shoulder after a moment. He had seen love for horses so it shouldn’t be too bad to be polite to someone Kris had deemed as a quest and who had nice family and who had proven to be good enough company yesterday at the wedding party. “Winddancer won’t let you near anyway but if you fetch some other horse along with the saddle and reigns I can help you brush the horse and saddle him quickly and then you accompany me for a quick tour,” Gaenor stated without turning as he ran the brush over Basquez’s side.
