Beware of doors (Morgan)

It had been a long boring day, is how Danny could best describe today. He had been to Diagon alley so much it was making him sick of being home. He hadn’t been anywhere else but home, Diagon alley and Hogsmeade once. When was he going to go somewhere else Danny kept asking himself. It was almost night fall when he left Diagon alley and he choose to walk home. It would give him something to do for awhile, It was a short walk home and his parents were going to be at work all night so he didn’t have to worry about being caught outside late. His mom had set up a time he had to be home or be grounded, mostly because of what happened last year.

Danny walked in through the back of the leaky cauldron and it was full of people, most seemed like muggles but Danny couldn’t really tell from the appearance of them. Not like there was a sign on they’re backs saying wizard or muggle. Danny finally got passed the sea of people and made it outside, the somewhat fresh air was so nice. Much better then the passed minute of alcohol filled air. The street lights were all turned on and it was still kind of a sunset but the sun was blocked by buildings. All you could see was the orange and red colored clouds in the sky and the other half just dark sky. Danny just looked up at the clouds for a few seconds. It sure was pretty Danny thought to himself.

Danny then looked back and started walking home then stopped. “I might as well walk around a bit more, I’ve got nothing better to do.” He said to himself turning around and heading back to the leaky cauldron just to walk past it. Danny was just about to walk past the door to the leaky cauldron when it swung open and hit him right in the face. Danny then fell to the floor and put his hand on his face. “Stupid door!” He said out loud completely forgetting that someone had to be outside seeing as the door was opened.

With Morgan's parents still gone she was as bored as ever. Usually her dad would be playing chess or doing something with her. Her mom would probably be making some kind of gross concoction she called food and force them both to eat while they put on their fake act and said it was delicous, though clearly it was disgusting. Sitting up in her room Morgan realized she wouldn't be sleeping or any thing like it any time soon. Standing up she walked to her closet and opened the door. She pulled out her favorite pair of jeans and then a blue t-shirt. Slipping them on she found her white etnies and ankle socks and added them to her appearance to. Walking to her mirror she pulled out her brush and quickly pulled it through her hair repeatedly. Finishing she grabbed a black scrunchie and stuck it on her wrist.

Grinning at her appearance Morgan added some black eyeliner and then mascara and she was done. Twirling around the room she grabbed her bag and added some money to it before walking out the door. As she headed towards the kitchen she realized she would have been sent back to her room by now. Her mom would have told her, 'Go change into your night clothes and be ready for bed, there's no sense going out this late!' Laughing at the thought of her mom suddenly saying this she walked toward the fire place with a baggie in her hand. Putting some extra powder in it she slipped it into her bag before throwing some more into the fire and then getting into it. 'Diagon Alley' she said and soon found herself in the packed Leaky Cauldron.

Groaning she forced her self through the crowd feeling extremely small with all the people taller and wider than her. Finaly making it to the door she quickly swung open the door in a rush to get out. As it swung open she heard a loud thunk and saw a a boy as the door went right into his face. Clamping her hand over her mouth in shokc sh e felt her eyes grow wide as she stared. Moving her hand she looked at him and said, "I am so sorry! I didn't think anyone would be there! Oh, it must hurt!" She babbled. Stopping she looked at him trying to figure out what to say.

Danny kept rubbing his face as the pain started to fade away and he started to feel better again. He thought to himself about how he should have just walked a little further from the door, or maybe just went home like he was planning to do. Then He wouldn’t have been hit by some door. He then heard a voice from above him he guessed it had to be the person who opened the door on him. “Well yea normally doors hurt when you get hit by one.” He said finally getting up and brushing himself off, His head had stopped hurting but now he sure felt stupid right there getting hit but a door. “Don’t worry about it, I probably deserved it for something I did.” He said trying to make a joke.

Danny somewhat believed in karma and this was just something bad he did catching up with him finally. He just wished he could remember what he did wrong. “And at lest no body else saw me get hit by the door.” Danny said looked at the girl that had opened the door and just behind her he could see the part of the sky that was orange and red and it was now dark and cloudy, and the rest of the street light that hadn’t turned on before were on now. Danny looked back at the girl who opened the door. “I can say this, I’m not going to forget running into you anytime soon.” Danny said pretty sure that he was going to have a bump or something where he had been hit in the morning. “I’m Danny” He said trying to be nice. “And it is interesting and slightly painful to meet you.” He added being honest.

Giggling at his joke Morgan grinned. 'I'm Danny', she heard him say. "Oh, sorry. I am Morgan Collins!" she said, still unable to get over the fact she had whacked him in the head with a door. Wondering if he really was okay she remembered when she had flew into the wall because it was raining and she couldn't see at all. She had had to have ice on her hole body for two days. Her friends that lived near by were wondering why she hadn't been coming outside, mainly because she couldn't tell them she was flying since they were muggles. She remembered telling them she was sick and because of that they had brought her bags of wonderful chocolate. She refused to eat anythingbut the candy and her mom had complained and complained while her dad had just laughed.

Grinning Morgan looked at him, "Why are you out here so late?" she asked him curiously knowing he would probably ask her the same question. Her answer would easily be: I got bored at home and my parents were gone so I left.

Danny smiled when she answered back saying her name, He could see in the way see looked she might have still been worried he was in pain or something. “I feel almost fine now, it's one of the benefits of having a hard head.” He said laughing his mom always said he had one but now it seemed to come in use.
Then Morgan asked him why he had been outside so late and Danny smiled “That’s an odd question, Can’t you see I’m outside being hit by doors.” He said laughing then stopped to answer her seriously. “ Actually I was just walking around, its pretty boring at home so I thought I would walk around a bit before I headed back home.” Danny said looking at her.

“So what are you doing out here so late, when your not opening the door on somewhat innocent people like me?” He said laughing waiting for her to answer. "Or was that your whole plan?" He said adding a joke at the end.

"I got bored to! My parents are visting family in America so I just got bored and decided what they didn't know wouldn't hurt them!" Morgan replied grinning as he said he was practically fine again. "My actual plan was to annoy who ever I came across, lucky you!" she said, grinning again as she made her own little joke. Moving out of the way of the door so she wouldn't get hit again she wondered if she should invite Danny to her party seeing as she had whacked him in the head with a door. Thinking about she decided on asking him. Looking up from the concrete street she said, "As an apology for hitting you in the head I am having a party on the twenty-fifth if you'd like to come."

As she waited for his answer she remembered that she needed to write her brother again because he was waiting on her to reply to him.

Thinking about this she grinned at the thought of how he had mentioned her coming to Egypt for the summer. Loving the idea of the tombs and mummies she felt her mind go back into reality and look at Danny again, waiting.

Danny just smiled as he listened to her talk about why she was out then she said she was just out looking for someone to annoy Danny laughed. “Lucky me indeed.” He said laughing. “Well my parents are at work still or at lest I hope they are if not then I might be in trouble.” He said knowing they probably weren’t home yet but you can never really be sure. “I’ll just have to tell her the truth if she finds out I was out late. I got attacked by a girl with a door.” Danny said laughing then went back to listening to her talk. As she looked down at the ground she asked him if he would like to go to a party she was having on the 25th and Danny smiled.

“Well I did say don’t worry about it but if I get to go to party for being hit then sure. I might even have to get hit by some more doors if it means I get to go to parties.” He said laughing looking over at Morgan. "Well till then you want to walk around till your done trying to annoy me?" He said meaning it as a joke.
