Solitaire was happy to be finally getting back to the world she knew. Where being home meant being ignored and able to sneak into the nearest muggle village. Solitaire did well as a muggle, she blended nicely and was always able to remember not to show herself as a witch. She wasn't able to use magic out of the school, which made it even better. Taire had grown up misunderstanding of muggles, and believed them to be bad, but after a few years at school, she realized that wasn't the truth. Not all muggles were horrible people, some were good. Taire knew some of these good muggles, they let her hang out with them when she managed to sneak into the village. Even though they didn't know her well, they didn't ask questions. She suspected that they just assumed she had horrible parents, and ever since her first year at school, they were right. Her parents had stopped paying her nearly as much attention, for they weren't pleased with her sorting. At first, neither was she; but she had come to learn to deal with it.
Taire's journeys into the muggle village had created a new passion for Taire, she had found some of the kids she hung out with racing muggle cars. This intrigued her, and made her want to learn more about them. How they worked, what kept them together, how they were built. Even wanted to understand what made them go. Luckily at this time, she made a friend as well. A guy, but more like an older brother than a friend. He looked out for Taire, made sure she made it home safely, and that no one picked on her because she went away for the school term. Taire had met Dominick when he caught her staring at his car. He was three years older than her, but she didn't mind that at all. The two quickly bonded and before Taire knew what was happening, she was sneaking out of the house every afternoon to meet Dom as she called him, and his friends. Dom confided in Taire quite often, and it made his other friends jealous. They couldn't understand why he felt so close to her. Dominick had a sister Taire's age but was killed in some sort of unusual accident when she was only ten. Taire felt bad for Dom, and did everything she could to be there for him. It was for Dom that she was now sneaking out of the house.
Taire had not been home more than just a couple of days and things were already getting back into their old routine. Her parents, naturally mad at her for being one of the two only members of the Kieghley family to be sorted into what her parents considered one of the lower houses, went from making sure that she was alright to ignoring her. This she was used to, and it made it easier to get away from her parents. Today, Taire put her favorite muggle outfit in her muggle backpack, and headed toward the door. Her dad spotted her and looked at her expecting an explanation. "I'm um.. going to meet a friend from school in the village, and we are just going to wander around a while. Nothing to worry about." Taire didn't like lying to her parents, she would rather get caught sneaking out than lying to them. But she did what she had to do. She was supposed to be learning how to race this year, instead of just how to work on the cars. She couldn't have been more excited.
Taire made her way into the village, not really expecting anyone from school to find her there. She had only told three people where she lived; Cass, Dare, and Caitlin. She had recently met Caitlin but really liked her. Taire had given all her friends her address in hope to see at least one of them over the summer. She had Dom and a few of his friends, but it would be just amazing to share her little hide away with her few school friends. Taire spotted Dom at his usual hang out. She rushed over, and surprised him. She hadn't been able to write to Dom and tell him when she would be home, for she couldn't get to a muggle mailbox before she left Hogwarts. He didn't yet know that she was a witch, and she wasn't sure if she should tell him or not. Dom was getting ready to start a race, and promised Taire that he would teach her more later, but for now he just wanted her to ride with him. Taire ran into the bathroom of the shop, and changed into her favorite outfit. It was a dark pink tank top, and a pair of baggy black pants. She donned a pair of muggle sunglasses, and had her hair pulled back and held in place with an elastic. Her bangs hung loosely around her face for they weren't as long as her hair just yet. She added her favorite black combat boots, and quickly jumped in the car. Not even taking the time to be sure that her parents hadn't had one of the servants follow her. She didn't care. It gave her one other chance to be free. Free from her thoughts, and feeling her veins pulsate again. Soon the race began and Taire was in her own little world.
As quickly as the race had began, it ended. Taire started to get out of the car happily and carefree, but saw a familiar face in the crowd. It was one of her friends from Hogwarts. Taire knew that her secret passion had gotten found out, and that her secret may not be safe anymore.
