Flo was so excited to hear from Leon. When his mothers owl had tapped on that glass, with a letter, and a few chocolate frogs, Flo didn't know who it was. Of course, it didn't help that it was almost 7 o'clock on a Saturday morning. But Flo was certainly surprised to see Leon's name on the bottom of the letter. And as soon as Flo's parents said yes, they were on their way in Flo's fathers car.
The road was bumpy, and it started to slightly rain, but it didn't help that Tim was in the back seat, complaining of how he didn't have to come, because Leon wasn't his friend, or that he should be the one in the front seat. And after the complaining, there were a few verses of a little muggle song he had heard of. "..Round and Round. The wheels on the bus go round and rou-" He sang, as Flo interrupted him. "We're in a car, not a bus, get it right Timothy." Tim scowled and then burst into song once again. "The wheels on the car go round and round." Flo knew that her parents were getting sick of the song. Well, she could tell her Father was. His hands were tapping on the steering wheel, like he did when he got impatient. "Tim, Thats enough of that." He told Tim, still keeping his eyes on the road. "Yes dear, we're starting to get sick of it." came Flo's mothers voice from the seat next to Tim.
Finally they had gotten to address of which Leon had sent. Flo looked out the window and grinned. The house was certainly brilliant. She had never been told about Leon's house before. It was a shame that Leon's little sister wasn't there. She was very nice. Flo got out of the car, still looking out the house. She saw a shadow run past the window, and the door opened.

The morning was a blur in Leon’s view, a rush of people, animals, and flying objects. First he woke to his mother’s wand screaming at him to wake up, though his mother herself was downstairs with Leon’s toddler brother, Matthew. After shutting the wand up with his own Leon was forced by his father to get out of bed. He did- but slowly, moving with a bemused expression. Why was he waking so early? What could be so important to ruin his dream about being back at Hogwarts? With a scowl at his rumpled reflection in the mirror Leon obeyed his father sulkily. He was about to retort back- but before he could slip a syllable in his father’s back was already shown, dismissing his son’s attention straight away.
It wasn’t long after that Leon was walking, or stumbling, down the long, winding stairs of the tall house. The house he, his parents, Matthew and Katie-May lived in was big and looked exactly as though it had been pulled from a catalogue of ‘ideal homes’. As he entered the kitchen where his mother was feeding Matthew fresh pancakes, Leon thought to himself ’boring homes! ’ as he reached absent-mindedly for a pancake. The house was grand and large, with vast rooms and only the best counters, shelves and furniture. To Leon, the place was a hellhole. It was too simple, too smart, and looked utterly unlived-in. The floors were sparkling clean, mostly white carpets, and the walls were equally white and spotless. Granite counters matched the glass-image sink in the kitchen, and although he looked hard, Leon couldn’t see one spot of mess in the room. Before he could complain to himself, his mother’s shrill voice echoed through his mind. He looked at her- long blonde hair, face too young for her age. She was tall and slim enough, even after three children. “Leon how dare you! You know ickle Mattie needs his carbs, and your breakfast is over there!” His mother yelped at him, slapping his retreating hand away. Leon looked at his toddler brother, ready to scowl again and tell his mother that from the looks of it, Matt already had quite enough carbs already. The younger boy wasn’t the thinnest toddler you could find on the streets of London, and his bulging belly matched his bulging grey eyes. His hair, unlike Leon’s and Katie-May’s, was dark brown. His skin was patched and not at all like the baby-soft skin you would expect the boy to have. as he saw Leon eying his food he yelped loudly, throwing a handful of jam Leon’s way. “Bad wizzie! Bad bad bad/i] wizzie!” Leon raised a calm eyebrow, watching the snatch of jam fall a few feet off, onto his mother’s cat. ‘Wizzie’ was Matt’s word for wizard.
“Mum, why have you woken me so early and why do I have to eat that mush?” Leon questioned his mother who was now making cooing-noises at her fat son. She only glanced momentarily at Leon before feeding Matt another pancake. Leon sighed, looking pointedly at the ‘mush’. It was soggy, wet cornflakes and milk, though the milk smelt a little off and the cornflakes were soaked through. “Leon, that breakfast is perfectly fine for a growing boy like yourself! And that friend of yours is coming over today, Francesca was it?” Leon’s eyes went wide. “Flo? I thought that was tomorrow! Oh no, she’s coming soon and I can’t let her see me like this!” Leon checked his outfit hurridly. He was wearing his pyjama top and bottoms, grey and blue ones which were slatted with red from where Matt’s jam had finally struck home. Leon’s mother, after saying ‘quite right!’ in a disapproving tone, sent Leon upstairs to change. He obeyed, Matt screaming insults at him like ‘Naughty Owlie!’ to his retreating back.
After ten minutes Leon heard his mother shouting up the stairs to him, and grimaced. He was ready- wearing some smart black jeans and a cream sweater, and he walked down the stairs. He couldn’t wait to see Flo again, but knew his parents, mainly his mother, would do something terribly embarrassing and ruin everything. Before he could open the door he heard his mother there already, and scowled. In her fake, welcoming voice she held Matt on her arm as she spoke. “Mr and Mrs Murvac? Terribly pleased to meet you, Leon has told me all about your little Francesca! Come in, come in, we can’t wait to have a nice long chat!” She finished just as Matthew let out a nice, long burp. Somehow Leon’s mother didn’t seem to hear the burp and continued welcoming the Murvac’s. From the stairs, Leon bounded down and waved his mother away. She didn’t go, though did retreat a little in the landing. Leon smiled at Flo, his mild exasperation showing on his face. “Flo, it’s great to see you! And Mr Murvac, Mrs Murvac, great to finally meet you too!” He noticed Flo’s brother, Tim. He hadn’t heard good things about the boy from the sister, though smiled at him before giving Flo a baffled glance.

The door open and there stood a beaming blonde headed woman. Flo knew that she was Leon's mother. She looked like him. And the blonde hair was a dead givaway. As the woman started talking to Flo's parents, Flo looked around her and saw Leon on the stairs. Excitedly, Flo waved to him. Her attention was quickly retreated as she heard Leon's mother call her Francesca. Francesca? Obviously, the woman hadn't payed much attention to Leon as he told his mother about Flo. And Flo knew that Tim would say something like that. "He's told you everything? Obviously he didn't tell you Flo's na-" "That's enough Tim." Flo's father growled at him. Tim stopped and looked to the ground. Though his eyes did open wide as the sound of a very loud burp echoed the house. "Is there a tigar set loose in this house?" Tim asked innocently. "Leon! It's good to see you too!!" She grinned as her Father talked to Leon also. "It's nice to meet you too Leon. The famous drawer of the picture of Flo. It's actually very good!" Flo's mother nodded.
Tim's eyes rolled and he leaned against a wall as he rudly muttered "Borrrring!!" Flo heard and narrowed he eyes at him. "Well then go wait in the car!" She told him. "Flo. Tim please be good." She warned him. "Oh aren't little brothers fun?" Flo asked Leon. "Mine is never boring."

Leon looked at Tim, amused. The boy looked slightly like Flo at an angle, though not too much. From what he had so far seen Leon didn’t suppose he would get on with the boy, who seemed to annoy the whole Murvac family not just Flo. He smiled to hide his true expression, though wiped it straight away at the mention of his drawing. Flo and Leon had started their friendship beside the Lake at Hogwarts and had sketched together. Leon felt his spirits lift a little as he reminisced the time. He himself had drawn Flo a picture of herself, why she had made him an original sketch of his name in butterflies. Leon still kept the picture in his room and loved looking at it- it was like a puzzle of butterflies, with L-E-O-N carefully drawn between the fluttery creatures. But Leon felt his pale skin go a little red as Mr. Murvac spoke, and let out a hasty smile. At the same time he shot Flo an ‘and-how-do-they-know-about-this?’ look, though it was mixed with amusement for Matthew had just thrown a banana at Tim. Leon stifled a laugh as his mother spoke embarrassedly. “Yep, neither is mine!” Leon said to Flo as he chuckled softly.
“Oh no, so sorry! He doesn’t usually like bananas I just thought he might this time…” She faltered, blonde hair seeming a little limper than usual. Leon rolled his eyes and smiled at the Murvac’s. “Mum why don’t you take the Murvac’s into the lounge for some tea and coffee, I need to show Flo something.” He smiled at his mother who, surprisingly, sent him a look of thanks. After agreeing and beckoning to Flo’s parents, she pushed Matthew further up her hip as the toddler laughed at Tim. Leon looked at Flo, smiling.
“Ready Flo? Time to see the wonders of Leon Harrow’s room! And if you like you can see May’s too. Just the whole of upstairs really.” He looked at Tim, doubtful. “Erm…if you want to come you can, or you can follow Flo’s advice and sit in the car, or if you like tea and coffee you can follow mum.” He smiled, giving the boy the choice as he waved a hand to the elegant stairs. He could see his mother looking doubtful, as though she didn't trust her son in his room with a girl, but he rolled his eyes as though he suspected it and she left it at that, though gave both him and Flo a little disapproving glance.

As Flo's dad rambled on about how his daughter was A very talented drawer, ("Takes after me of course!") And Leon had sent Flo a Look when Her father mentioned the picture he drew, Flo bit her lip and looked down. She looked up at Leon again, smiled and shrugged. Then Flo had heard a gasp from her brother and she turned around, to see what looked so funny to Leon. "Eugh! Baby Banana mush!" Tim exclaimed, and Flo laughed. "Oh no, leave it on your T-shirt, Tim. The goo suits you!" She told him. Tim sent Flo a grumpy looked and tried to wipe the what the banana had left behind.
Flo kept smiling as Leon's mother was explaining about Matthew's Non-eating banana stage. It seemed very funny to her, but obviously not to Tim. He kept a sour face as he tried to clean his new T-shirt. "Never mind that! We can just buy him a new one!" Flo's mother Told Leon's, trying to make polite conversation. Well as best as she could at that moment.
The grow-ups were talking still, as Matthew was still laughing at Tim. "Err, no." He told Leon, as Leon had asked if he wanted to come with himself and Flo to upstairs. He put on a posh face, and in his most posh English accent he said, "No, Tea and Jam sounds lovely!" And with that, he waited for the Grown-ups to go into the other room for "tea and Jam" Flo was about to walk up the stairs with Leon, until she sawa look that Leon's mother gave herself and Leon. Flo's dad also gave them a look similar to Leon's mother's look. Strict parents were a pain sometimes.

Leon laughed beneath his breath at Flo’s little joke about the goo on Tim, then struggled to keep his straight face straight. He watched as his mum shook her head at the buying a new shirt remark, then took out her wand. It was a little bit of a struggle as she was also carrying Matt on one hip still, but she managed to successfully point her wand at the shirt, mutter ‘Scourgify!” and smile as the shirt cleaned. Leon tried to send her ‘no’ signals- he knew Flo’s dad was not of magical blood and wondered if she was scared of magic. Many muggles of his family, by marriage, were scared of the spells and charms Leon’s parents used around the house and Leon knew it made some uncomfortable. Leon scowled lightly at his mum, but not so she or the Murvac adults could see, then listened in again. Tim really seemed like the worst brother. “I can imagine Matt growing worse than him in a few years!” Leon whispered to Flo, then put on his angelic, innocent face most parents loved.
“Mr, Mrs Murvac, I merely want to show Flo some of the pictures I have drawn. Many are of the local church near here and some of the primary schools. I’m sure I could get some advice from Flo of how to draw them better as she is after all, quite the artist.” Leon said, putting on the parent charm he used on his push-over dad. He used the look and tone often and once had gotten a whole packet of chocolate cookies from cheerfully and looked at Flo, urging her with his amused eyes to go along with the perfect child act.

Tim started his fit, as how his shirt was already brand new, and it was his favorite, and he didn't need a new one but by the time he had finished, Mrs. Harrow had already clean up the banana goo. But in the corner of her eye, Flo saw Leon, trying to get his mums attention. Flo knew why. She had told Leon that Her father was a muggle, but had forgotten to mention that He had also gone to Hogwarts. Flo Nudged Leon in the side. "Shh! It's ok, Dad went to Hogwarts too, silly." Flo whispered, giggling slightly to herself.
Leon had whispered to Flo about Matt being as worse as Tim, As Flo watched Tim loose his Patience. But then She saw his eyes land on Matt, and smirk. Flo knew what he was up to. "Yeah, especially if Tim Teaches him everything. We Have To keep Tim away from Matt, If you want to live." Flo told Leon, still giggling.
But Flo could hardly stop giggling, after hearing Leon explain to Flo's parents as to why Leon was taking her up to his room, to show her all the drawings. It was so funny, because Flo knew he was probably trying to get the "angel" look across to Flo's parents. But as Leon turned to Flo, she knew it was her turn in the charade. "Daaaad." Flo started, and watched as Tim's eyes rolled. "If you want me to be a famous Artist, then that would mean checking the competition." Flo explained. She glanced back at Tim, and glared as he started to mock Flo with his hand, making it look like a puppet or something. After one more glance to Flo's mother, and then to Flo, He gave the 'yes fine go' Nod, and Flo Turned to Leon, with a look that said "Are we good or what?"
