Phaedra finished her sweet green tea not minding the least bit noticing that it had started to grow cold. Looking at the book Molly Weasley had most obviously left behind her Phaedra toyed with the idea of returning it to her immediately, only to drop the idea as quickly as it came. She didn’t know where the burrow was that accurately. However Phaedra did know where the Ministry was. And the Department of muggle artifacts so she could go and get it to mr.Weasley. Smiling at the waitress that came to take away her empty cup Phaedra slipped into her cloak making a mental note to herself to relocate a scarf for herself once again. Leaving the Leaky Cauldron Phaedra smiled and nodded at the officials behind it checking people who entered the Diagon Alley. The ministry would not allow such a disaster as attacking Diagon Alley was once again. Letting the officials know that an auror was leaving know Phaedra closed her eyes and concentrating for a moment popped out of the Diagon. Only to reappear in the Ministry of Magic a moment later. Passing the required floors and people Phaedra found herself knocking on the door to Arthur Weasley’s office door a moment later. Smiling at the warm, even if somewhat absent-minded greeting Phaedra showed the book to mr.Weasley explaining briefly how it had came to rest in her hands. And a few moments later Phaedra could merely blink as she was pushed out of the office again. Now with knowledge of WHERE exactly the Burrow was situated and a suggestion to take it back to Molly. Blinking once again Phaedra just sighed and started the long trek back to the apparition room of the Ministry to go and appear over to the Burrow. Mr.WEasley had looked very busy anyway and as Phaedra had the day off – actually the whole week off unless there was some other disaster, god forbid that – so she would have the time to take the book back to it’s rightful owner anyway. Recalling the directions mr.Weasley had given her Phaedra closed her eyes and concentrated before leaving the appration room with a loud crack. Then again – apparition had NEVER been Phaedra’s thing. So instead of landing nicely on the front lawn of the Burrow Phaedra found herself flying through air in front of the house. Letting out a loud yelp Phaedra clutched her wand tightly before she smashed back first into the porch of the burrow with big enough force to leave her breathless for a few moments. Groaning and closing her eyes Phaedra rubbed her head pushing down the urge to rub her hurt bottom as well. Closing her eyes Phaedra regained her breath before slowly sitting up and looking around. Yes, this was the burrow at the very least. “Mrs. Weasley?” Phaedra called out hesitantly before trying to get to her feet only to fall back to sit on the porch again this time clutching her right ankle. Her right ankle was painful… and very surely sprained. Sighing Phaedra closed her eyes before calling out for mrs.Weasley again. ((Not the best post but try to deal cause I'm late for my bus to school now anyway )

Charlie had only been home a day, when his mother announced that she wanted to journey to Diagon Alley in order to check on his brothers Fred and George. She was wondering how the rebuilding of Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes was coming along. Charlie understood her wanting to go, but wasn’t yet ready to visit Diagon Alley, he offered to stay at the Burrow just in case his father managed to find a few free moments that would allow him to come home, or in case someone from the Order decided to drop by, or in case anything else should come up. The Order hadn’t had to be as active as they had after the attack on Diagon Alley, and although that seemed like a sigh of relief to the others, it made Charlie uncomfortable. It seemed like when the Death Eaters and He Who Must Not Be Named were quiet that it was then that they were plotting something drastically devastating. Charlie shook off the thoughts, and the worried feelings that he had in the pit of his stomach. He made himself decide to spend the day relaxing and free from that kind of worry. His mother had a wonderful collection of useful books, full of spells, charms and potion that would cure almost any illness, mend almost any type of injury, or help complete any good deed that one could want to perform. There were also books for cleaning and clearing out all types of pests.
Charlie had just picked a book from the shelf, and started a pot of tea, when he heard the distinct sound of someone apparating unusually close to the Burrow. Wondering who could be coming unannounced like that, Charlie stayed quiet in the house. Pulling his wand out of his pocket, he tried to prepare himself for anyone or thing that could possibly come through the front door. As he remained hidden and quiet inside the house, he heard a thud as if someone had literally fallen from the sky and landed on the front porch of The Burrow. This sound made Charlie try to ease a little closer to the door without being detected. As he got closer to the door, he heard a soft feminine voice calling his mother’s name. Charlie decided to check it out. He stood up and grabbed the door handle with his free hand, gripping tightly to his wand with the other. He slowly opened the door, and made his way out to the porch, all the time keeping his wand at the ready. Charlie was trying to be ready for any type of attack for one could never tell whom was cursed by a Death Eater and who wasn’t. As, he made his way fully out on to the porch, he began to look around. As he looked toward his left and also toward the end of the porch, he saw a beautiful young girl sitting there, clutching her ankle.
From the way the girl was clutching her ankle Charlie could tell that she was in some type of pain. He started over to her, as she once again called for his mother. “Sorry, but Mum’s not here at the moment. Let me help you up.” Charlie offered the girl a hand, and then gently pulling her up to her feet. After helping the girl up, Charlie decided that a chair in the kitchen would probably be somewhat nicer for her to sit on, than the porch. “Let me help you in the house, then we can try to figure out what’s wrong with your ankle and see if Mum has something in one of her books to fix it.” Charlie said smiling at the girl, as he helped her into the house. “So, if you don’t mind my asking, what brings you to the Burrow?” He asked after getting her a chair to sit in.

Phaedra placed the book mrs. Weasley had left behind on the porch and sighed closing her eyes. It was true. Apparating was not her thing. Never had been. Not even at school when they had had lessons. Phaedra had finally managed to get apparition license only a year after she had graduated and sometimes her friends teased her saying she got them too early. Opening her eyes Phaedra offered a small smile accepting the hand being held out to her. Hopping on one foot as her ankle still let a flash of pain out if it was moved or when Phaedra put any of her weight on it Phaedra was quite thankful for the man’s help. She was being led into a kitchen and Phaedra smiled as she carefully deposited herself on a chair. Thekitchen looked used and cheery and open. Phaedra loved cooking herself as well so in a lot of ways kitchen was a heart of a house. And this kitchen most surely looked to be amazing. “Thank you, I don’t really want to cause any trouble…,” Phaedra said with a bit apologetic smile as she looked up only now to the man who had helped her up. Looked up and was stunned speechless as Phaedra simply gaped at him.
Charlie Weasley. Phaedra had been a year younger than him at school, but they had still sometimes practiced charms and DADA together. They had worked rather well even though they didn’t socialize much besides that. Charlie had been a seeker for Gryffindor and rather popular fellow. With her left eye a bit quaky back then, metal-framed glasses and her book-wormish attitude as Phaedra had had the “classically” awkward teenagers body with long legs and hands that made her a bit clumsy she hadn’t been nearly as popular. “You have changed,” Phaedra stated as she managed to control her facial muscles once more as she smiled mentally berating herself for such a lousy choice of words. Though it was true. Charlie seemed to wear a tan as always, but his body had filled out and his hands were roughened from work. Instead of a boy who had left in the end of his 7th year, Charlie had grown up to be a man. Phaedra grinned and turned herself on her chair to fully look at him: “How have you been? It’s good to see you again, even though you apparently still have a knack for making me feel like a pet kitten.” Phaedra swatted at Charlie’s hand that was absent-mindedly patting her shoulder with a small grin. It was true. Charlie had sometime patted her shoulder or her hair or arm at school at a passing movement and it had often made Phaedra felt as if she was a favourite kitten receiving an absent-minded petting. She hadn't really minded it, just felt amused by it most of the time.
“I ran into your mother at Diagon and she forgot one of her books the…,” Phaedra looked around the kitchen trying to recall for a moment, before shaking her head lightly, “Which I left on the porch I’m afraid. Apparation isn’t really my thing, especially since I’ve never been here before.” Phaedra added lightly looking around the room once more and almost forgetting her ankle let her legs drop to the ground from the stool she was sitting on, only to let out a strangled gasp as a flare of pain shot through her right ankle making Phaedra grasp a the near-by table to keep her upright as she gently leaned against the stool again.

Charlie looked at the girl as heard her state that he had changed. It made him wonder where the girl knew him from. He definitely knew that he wouldn’t have forgotten a face like hers. Then she mentioned that he had made her feel like a pet kitten. That startled him, for there was a girl in school that he could remember always telling him that she wasn’t a pet kitten. He had given the girl reasons for telling him this at every meeting the two had, for he would always pat her on the arm or hand, or gently pet her hair during any passing moment that the two might have. This led him to give her the nickname “Kitten”. He looked at the girl now sitting in the kitchen of The Burrow, she didn’t look like the same girl he had called Kitten for almost six years, but she would have been the only one to have known that he had always treated her like that. Charlie still looked at the girl with a hint of confusion in his eyes. There was no way that this girl was his “Kitten” but she had to be. Surely she wouldn’t have told anyone else of the reasons for him giving her such a nickname. “How, what…” Charlie seemed for a loss of words as he tried to figure out how the girl knew these things. “Kitten?” He finally said with a strange sound in his voice that he hadn’t heard since Percy had started being such a git.
Charlie was still a little dazed when the girl started telling him what had brought her to the Burrow. His mother’s book… It must have been the one she said she was going to let Fred and George borrow. He thought to himself. He wasn’t worried about the book at the moment though. “It will be fine out there for a moment. Let’s have a look at that ankle.” He said still trying to place the girl’s lovely face with those that he had known in his years at Hogwart’s. That made things difficult though, for he had been popular among most of the students that attended the same years as he had. Only the Slytherins disliked him, but that was all a part of being a Gryffindor. The Slytherins didn’t like anyone though and from what he had heard from his brother, sister, Harry, and Hermione, they still didn’t.
As the girl propped herself back up against the stool, Charlie wondered if she would let him look at her foot to make sure that it wasn’t broken. If it wasn’t broken, then fixing it wouldn’t be much of a problem. Charlie had learned a few healing spells while dealing with the dragons. In his line of work he had too, there was never any telling what type of injury one might receive. “If it’s not broken, I can probably heal it. If I can’t, one of Mum’s books will surely tell us how. She has books on everything.” He laughed slightly at the last part. His laugh seemed whole-hearted and was deeper than it had once been. Charlie’s laugh was different from everyone else’s in his family, but he liked it. Charlie reached for the girl’s foot, and began to examine it.

Phaedra couldn’t help but laugh at the dazed look on Charlie’s face. He obviously didn’t recognize her as easily as Phaedra had recognized him. “How many times have I told you I’m not a kitten? And yet you never seem to be able to remember it,” Phaedra said with a small grin as they had both obviously recalled the very same memory from their time at Hogwarts, “As for how? Well, I hope you don’t want me to explain to you from the beginning how I was born. Or how we actually met the first time at Hogwarts or what inspired you into giving me that nickname. No one else has ever called me ‘Kitten’ after all. Though I have grown up a bit since Hogwarts.” Phaedra gazed at Charlie thoughtfully. She hadn’t really been crushing on Charlie at Hogwarts. They had just been very good friends, however nice Charlie had looked. But comparing hte memory to teh real thing, Phaedra decided that the outcome now looked even better.
Suddenly feeling a lot more uncertain about herself Phaedra silently wondered how. How on earth did this one man who she hadn’t seen in a couple of years suddenly made her think if she looked alright. Phaedra decided to stick with the light teasing tone of voice none the less: “And why such a tone? I don’t look THAT bad. Nor as furry as a kitten I would hope. I’d kick you for such a sentiment if I wasn’t afraid of hurting my ankle even more,” Phaedra commented easily even though she did chance a bit worried look at Charlie. Almost strangled tone of voice coming from a handsome man was enough to make every girl a bit worried about her looks, even if Phaedra wasn’t overly vain about her looks. Years as a not-cute kid had taught her that much. Telling herself firmly to stop such train of thought Phaedra unclasped her cloak to reach into the pocket of her jeans. “I do hope you remember my real name as well as the nickname,” Phaedra told Charlie as she pulled out that black leather covers that were still brand new as Phaedra had received her auror license only a while ago. Opening the covers Phaedra showed them to Charlie letting him read the name ‘Phaedra Goldwin’ there and see the picture of Phaedra. These were dark times after all so Charlie had been shockingly kind and nice already letting a complete stranger into the house. Well, maybe not a stranger, but pretty much the same as he hadn’t recognized Phaedra.
Pushing the covers back into her back pocket Phaedra pushed off her boot looking at the ankle hidden by a white sock a bit worriedly. “It’s not really respectful for a book to be left laying outside,” Phaedra absentmindedly admonished Charlie, staying true to her Ravenclaw nature as she watched Charlie take hold of her leg as she examined it, “I don’t think it’s broken really though, just sprained. You’re the same hero you’ve always been obviously.” Not bothering to check the ankle herself Phaedra searched Charlie’s face curiously. They hadn’t met for quite a while after all, so Phaedra’s interest was justified. Smiling at the sound of Charlie’s laughter Phaedra decided that she liked the sound as she reached out her hand touching the beginning of the light scar on the side of Charlie’s neck for a moment before pulling her hand back and feeling her cheeks get a pink hue: “Sorry. You just didn’t have that scar while at Hogwarts.”
((“his kitten” - *giggles* I still must point out the possessiveness, though I don’t mind the least. And hope you don’t mind me making up a scar. If you don’t like it, tell me and I’ll take it out without any problems.))

As Charlie sat there with Phaedra’s ankle in his hand, he thought back to his days at Hogwarts. Although he was popular because of his skills as a seeker, and the number of times he had helped Gryffindor win the quidditch cup, he had always rather enjoyed his time spent with Kitten practicing DADA and Charms. He never figured out why they had never associated more than they did.
Looking up at Phaedra now that she was all grown up, Charlie knew that if she hadn’t mentioned the fact that he had always treated her like a pet kitten, he would have never recognized her, even if she had just mentioned her name. Charlie laughed when she reminded him, just as she had done in their years at school, that she was no kitten. “Nor will I ever be able to remember that, you’ll always be Kitten. And no, I wasn’t expecting all the details, I just started to ask how a stranger knew so vividly all the details of a memory of my years at Hogwarts.” Charlie was still a little shocked that the beautiful woman in front of him was Kitten, but then he also recalled that they hadn’t seen each other since his graduation from Hogwarts.
Charlie knew that the tone in his voice was more than likely giving off a different idea than that he held in his mind. Phaedra looked absolutely ravishing. “I never meant for you to think that you look bad, you don’t, nor have I ever meant that you looked as furry as a kitten. Forgive the tone in my voice, you look amazing.” Charlie wasn’t trying to be slick, and he hoped Phaedra realized that.
Charlie also hoped that Phaedra would forgive the shocking tone in his voice. He had spent most of his time after Hogwarts looking after the dragons, and although they were magnificent and radiant creatures, their beauty was no match for that of the woman he saw sitting in front of him. “Of course, I remember your name, Phaedra.” Charlie said as he only glanced at the license long enough to notice that they were Auror license. “No one could have known that memory as vividly as you. You’ve become an Auror I see, do you enjoy it?” Charlie knew that Phaedra had only shown him the license out of security. These were dark times, and one could never be too careful. Security was of the utmost importance, but one thing Charlie had learned with the dragons, was to never let his guard down. Charlie spent so much time making sure that the dragons didn’t get into the hands of the Death Eaters, that he had almost forgotten what it was like to have the company of another human.
Taking a close look at Phaedra’s ankle, he agreed that it was only sprain, and he felt her touch a scar that had been recently placed on his face. “Maybe Mom has something in one of her books over here that will heal it. The scar came from a Norwegian Ridgeback. I work with the dragons, and the Ridgeback gets a bit testy every now and then.” Gently placing her ankle on his chair, he walked over to the bookshelf that his mom had in the kitchen. Picking up a book title Minor Injuries and the Charms to heal them, he walked back over to the table. Flipping through it, he found a simple incantation to help mend the sprained ankle. As he prepared to do the charm, he listened to Phaedra tell him how disrespectful it was to leave a book outside. “That’s not a problem then.” He said. Charlie hadn’t put down his wand throughout the entire time, so it took him no time to flick it, “Accio Book.” He said as he watched for the book to come through the door. Grabbing the book, he placed it on the table next to the one that he had open to mend Phaedra’s ankle, he looked over the incantation and it’s simple wand movements. Charlie copied the movements, and muttered the incantation.
Charlie hoped that Phaedra didn’t think he was bragging about his work. He loved his job, even though it was as dangerous as it tended to be. It held all the excitement and adventure a man Charlie’s age could search for. “Would you like some tea?” Charlie said as he thought of the tea he had put on just before she fell on the porch.

Phaedra smiled as she listened to Charlie’s laughter her head slightly tilted to the side. That sound was something that hadn’t changed as Phaedra was please to note. The laughter was a full rich tone that came from the heart. What more could anyone one. Mock-scowling towards Charlie Phaedra shook her head towards him. Not that she really minded the nickname. It had just almost became somewhat of a habit for Charlie to call her ‘Kitten’ and for her to remind him that she in fact wasn’t one. It was rather sweet though. Cute nickname in a way and actually Charlie was the only one to call her that. Charlie was the only one who had any nickname for Phaedra at any rate. Everyone else – her friends and her parents as well – had called her Phaedra. “Their partially my memories too. Though I doubt no one else even knew what brought up that nickname,” Phaedra said thoughtfully as she smiled just a bit shyly at Charlie. She looked ‘amazing’? Phaedra really doubted that, but it was sweet of Charlie to say that. “Now that’s better,” Phaedra said with a smile as Charlie acciod the book before casting the charm to fix her ankle. Giving the ankle a testing circle Phaedra grinned brilliantly up at Charlie as everything felt completely alright once again: “Thank you! It feels good now.” Grinning Phaedra let her legs drop down the chair she was resting on looking at Charlie and letting out a small chuckle. “I’m addicted, you know that? Addicted to tea I mean, not being rescued by handsome gentlemen. I’d love some.” Wriggling out of her cloak Phaedra trekked to the door leaving it hanging over there before returning to the chair she had been sitting on. Pulling one of her legs up to the chair in front of herself while letting the other one tangle freely, Phaedra wrapped her arms around the leg in front of her, leaning her chin on her knee. Gazing at Charlie thoughtfully Phaedra absent-mindedly brushed back a few strands of hair from her face that had escaped the loose bobble she had pulled her hair into at the nape of her neck. “Ridgeback? As I can see you’ve won all his tests to regain freedom. Which I’m glad to see. How many dragons do you care for anyway? Anything especially difficult or irritating or interesting if I may inquire? You always were good with animals on the whole at school as I remember. Nothing was heard of you after graduation really. Did you go to work immediately after Hogwarts?” Phaedra asked leaning her cheek on her chin hiding part of her face from Charlie’s view should he glance her way. Charlie’s graduation had been… interesting. Charlie had given Phaedra her very first kiss at his graduation day for reasons completely unknown to Phaedra. Sure, in her 6th year she had started to grow after her body and started to look a bit better already, but yet Charlie’s such sudden action had shocked Phaedra speechless. Not that Charlie had actually stuck around for longer. Feeling a blush creeping onto her cheeks, Phaedra forcefully changed her thoughts. Really, it wouldn’t do her any good if Charlie knew she still sometimes thought about that kiss. She had been kissed later on, but she could count those times on the fingers of her one hand and even then half of the 4 other kisses she had ever received were given only because of duty on New Years Eve when the clock struck midnight. “Yes, I became an auror. I have 2 weeks off right now actually, unless the Ministry calls everyone in again should something more happen. It has been eerily quiet lately. And I do like the job, even though training was very tiresome. Especially since I mostly learned under Mad-Eye. I like the job, because it helps me perhaps make a difference, if you know what I mean, but…,” Phaedra turned her head back towards Charlie giving a bit of a sad smile at him, “But it’s not always fun either. I was on the Hogwarts Express this September you know. My first proper assignment and it was pretty much blown up. But I just… froze for a moment when those Death Eaters appeared on the train. Everything just went so fast. That girl dying, Kris being blind…” Phaedra smiled a little at that raising her cheek from her knee: “Kris Graas is a relative actually and we have became rather good friends since September. My mother was adopted into her family. And one of her stepsisters – one those long blond hair, perfect body, never anything wrong in their appearance-type iceberg-ladies – is Kris’s mother. He – Kris - loaned me the money to fix up and furnish my house at Anglesay a couple of months ago. I sold my parents estate finally managing with it after my fathers death a month less than 2 years ago, so I had the money to buy the house myself. It’s small and white and it actually does feel like home to me.” Phaedra said with a small smile feeling proud of her home that she simply adored. Even if her father dying had been a hard time. Her mother had died when Phaedra had been a 5th year becuase of wizarding cancer. Phaedra had been home from school for a week. And after that she had avoided everyone for a whole month, being last to class and first out of it and disappearing in small dark alcoves at hallways. Not that she had many friends who would miss her, or people who would try to find and ask her what the matter was. Charlie had helped her with that as well at school simply cornering Phaedra at one point. As she was older now her fathers death had been a little bit easier to take. Yet at the same time harder because this meant now that Phaedra had absolutely no family left. Shaking her head Phaedra smiled again at Charlie her spirits uplifting again. She was here, she could see Charlie again over a long time so why should she be sad? “That has been pretty much my life. Graduated myself, got auror training and now work. Didn’t leave much time for anything else. Rather tell me what you have been doing.” ((You always give me so much to work on, that I get carried away. So blame yourself for the long post. ))

Charlie smiled when Phaedra reminded him that some his memories from their time together at Hogwarts were partially hers as well. He knew this was true, and was glad that he had been able to share his memories with her during school. He didn’t think that he could have shared them with anyone better. He rarely thought of his time at Hogwarts anymore, unless he was trying to remember a charm or potion that he hadn’t used in years. Then those memories came and went. He had some that tended to stay fresh in his mind as if they had happened just yesterday. Those were the memories that he told no one about. Some were too private, even though they too had been shared with Phaedra.
Charlie couldn’t help but laugh when Phaedra said she was addicted to tea. Most people enjoyed tea more than being rescued anyway. He felt his ears turn red at the mention of her being rescued by handsome gentlemen. He didn’t consider himself handsome, although he tried to always be a gentleman. Walking over to the stove to get the tea, Charlie looked outside and noticed that it was beginning to rain. This made him smile, for it would not be good to go out into the cold with it raining to apperate, and apparition couldn’t be done from inside the house. “Well, looks like we can enjoy more than one cup of tea together.” He said half laughing. Knowing Phaedra would want to know what he meant, he pointed out the window. “ It’s raining.”
Gathering the tea and cups, He carried everything that they would need for tea over to the table. Sitting down the cups, Charlie then took the kettle and poured Phaedra’s cup first. “Would you like anything to eat? I could fix something for us. It wouldn’t be a problem” He said smiling. The rain continued to fall, so it looked as if Phaedra might be there with him a while. The thought of that made Charlie very happy. It had been so long since they had been able to spend time together.
Charlie thought about the dragons. “There are five dragons that a team of 7 others plus me have to watch after. The entire job itself is dangerous and exciting. Everyday there is something new and interesting that happens. Hatchlings trying to get away from their mothers and the mothers getting irate when we try to return their hatchlings is always interesting and difficult at the same time.”
Charlie listened as she told him about becoming an Auror, and about her first assignment. “Mad Eye would be a tough trainer, but he’s good at it. And it was your first assignment; you may have not been as ready as you thought you were.” Charlie said thoughtfully. He remembered the first time he had to deal with a dragon. It had been a Hungarian Horntail hatchling, whom had gotten away from his mother. Charlie looked down at his left hand, he saw the long scar left there by the little dragon, and it reminded him that the hatchling had taken him and two others to move back to the mother. And that the mother had been upset seeing humans with her baby, even if they were only trying to return him. “First assignments are always the hardest.” Then Phaedra began to tell him about the boy she had mentioned losing his sight on her first assignment being family. He knew that made it harder on Phaedra than it would have been if it had been someone else. “Family getting injured during an assignment like that makes it more difficult than it already is.” Charlie said thinking of things that he doubted Phaedra yet knew about. Charlie listened more as Phaedra told him about her house. “That’s wonderful.” He said in reply. Charlie knew that he was being unusually quiet, but he liked hearing Phaedra’s voice. His time off, was starting to be worth his trip from Romania to the Burrow. He hadn’t expected to come home, and have such lovely company. “There hasn’t been a lot in my life. Working with the dragons keeps me fairly busy. I get to come home some, but it’s not as often as I would like, although I love my job and wouldn’t give it up.” Charlie was only telling the truth, there weren’t many things that he would rather do than to work with the dragons. “It does tend to get lonely though. There are the other guys, but they are like me, rarely ever get to go home, so we never have a lot to talk about.” Charlie smiled, he knew he should just enjoy the time here. The rain was still falling, and he had excellent company.

Phaedra looked up curiously at Charlie’s statement before glancing at the window. “And so it is. Looks like you will have to tolerate my company for a while longer.” Phaedra said with a small smile. She had… missed… Charlie. She hadn’t exactly crushed on Charlie at their school-time together. But for some reason she almost had crushed on him after their kiss. She had naturally gotten over it, yet she had missed Charlie as a friend. Phaedra had always been able to tell him about practically everything. She had missed that. Accepting the teacup with a small smile Phaedra took a sip noticing with a wide grin that Charlie had dropped in just the right amount of sugar to her tea. “Cook? A young, good-looking man who can cook and who you can actually talk to…” Phaedra openly turned her head and nodded at Charlie’s hand, “… and no wedding ring? How on earth has this happened? Or is there some pretty fiancé waiting for you back at wherever you do work with the dragons?” Phaedra grinned jokingly ignoring the small bang at her heart at the thought of Charlie being engaged, before smiling and shaking her head, “No, thank you, I actually just had lunch an hour ago. That’s where I ran into your mother as well. I like her. She actually reminded me of my own mother with her caring nature. But feel free to eat yourself. You most likely couldn’t have been expecting me dropping out from the sky.”
Phaedra listened to Charlie’s explanation of his work curiously, reaching out her arm to turn his hand slightly as Charlie looked at a scar on his left arm. Phaedra’s fingertip traced the long line for a moment as she smiled at Charlie: “Sounds interesting. You really do love your job. My house is awesome as well. Feel free to come and visit at any time if you wish. And Mad-Eye was that. Mad. But a good teacher. If you like being taught by spawns of devil. It made me sigh and dream of the professors at Hogwarts, who at the most took off points,” Phaedra stuck her tongue out at Charlie looking up a bit startled as there was a bit of a smash and something that looked like a grey owl hit the window. “Dear me!” Phaedra jumped up abandoning her tea as she rushed over to the window holding up her arm for the owl, who had rose up again to sit on. Taking the letters from the owls beak Phaedra placed them on a nearby cupboard without a glance all her attention concentrated on the poor bird. Taking him to sit and rest next to he owl snacks Phaedra sent a worried glance over her shoulder to Charlie. “Will the owl be alright? He looks so tired!”
Phaedra stroked the owls head gently watching as the owl closed it’s big eyes. Turning around Phaedra was starting to step back when something caught her attention. Taking a step back Phaedra glanced into the living-room noticing it’s niceness almost absent-mindedly. Squinting her eyes Phaedra glanced at all the picture laying around but one picture especially caught her eyes. Taking a step closer Phaedra blinked convincing herself that what she saw was actually real. Giving out a hoot of laughter Phaedra turned and dashed over easily jumping over a small armchair after leaning one of her hands on the backrest as she grabbed the picture. Laughing out loudly Phaedra observed the picture. Charlie in his 6th, Phaedra’s 5th year when this took place. Charlie was coloured bright-purple from foot to toe and on the picture holding onto a garden-gnome. Recalling that memory – Charlie had gone around looking purple for a week in the beginning of that school-year as well! – Phaedra continued giggling even as the picture-Charlie scowled at her and turned around stomping to hide behind a tree on the picture making Phaedra laugh even more.
“Nothing to talk about? What about this?” Phaedra turned the picture around holding it under her chin as she grinned at Charlie while giggling out, “How many guys spent at least a week of their lives being purple? You never did tell me why you were purple, no matter how much I annoyed you about it that week. I had a blast teasing you about it as I recall. One of the rare times when I did actually have a reason to tease you.” Turning the picture back so she could watch it Phaedra seated herslef on a nearby couch and giggled lightly as she gazed at the photograph. Laughter simply bubbled out of her as she looked at the picture. Her eyes a bit squinted still form laughter Phaedra turned her head to look at Charlie again a wide grin stretched across her face. “It must have been fun to have a large family like that.”

Charlie enjoyed the fact that the rain meant that Phaedra would have to stay longer. He laughed at Phaedra’s statement about him having a fiancé waiting for him. “No, there’s no one waiting for me, except for the dragons.” He said amongst his laughter. After offering some lunch to Phaedra, he decided that he would settle for a simple slice of toast. He had gotten used to eating just what he could get for lunch, and toast sounded fine. “No, I was definitely not expecting someone to fall from the sky. I’m just glad that you weren’t hurt any worse than you were. That would have been a terrible fate for someone so pretty.” Charlie knew that he had only told Phaedra how pretty she was umpteen times since her arrival, but he couldn’t help himself. He only told her the truth.
Charlie laughed as Phaedra jumped at the sound of the owl hitting the window, “That’ll be Errol. He’s the family owl. Poor thing is a menace. He barely ever finishes his deliveries, without crashing into something. But, he’s only stunned. He will be fine. He’s old. Mum and Dad really need to replace him.” Wondering what letters Errol could be delivering, Charlie went to the cupboard to look. Seeing a very recognizable letter to his mother, he decided that he would leave them alone there. It would be important that she read it when she got home.
Following Phaedra to the living room to see what she was laughing about, he noticed that she had spotted the picture that Fred and George had taken of him after turning him purple while he hunted for the garden gnomes. The picture had been taken in surprise and they had caught him just as he started to get rid of the gnome. He started to laugh himself.
“There is no way that I could ever tell the guys I work with about the time that my younger twin brothers turned me purple with one of their blessed jokes.” Knowing that the twins had made a wonderful business now out of all the things that they had tried on either him or one of their other brothers, he still couldn’t bare to share that memory with the guys he worked with. He had hated the week of school that he had suffered through. “Fred and George had invented something new and left it laying around. Since it looked like a piece of candy, I was the one who fell for the trap. Needless to say, I could have killed them. The reason I had to come to school looking that way, was because they had yet to figure out how to reverse the effects.” He remembered the way that Fred and George had teased him after the incident, and how furious he had been with them. But he was a little gratified when his mum and dad had found out what they had done, and got on to them. Charlie moved around the chair to sit beside Phaedra on the couch. Laughing with her, he wondered what other memories that she could recall so easily. Years being spent with the dragons had left him the memories, but he had recalled them so often that he rarely thought of them anymore. “I would love to see your house sometime. Maybe on my next visit home, I could stop by on the way here. Who knows maybe I’ll be early enough that I could cook breakfast for you.” Charlie laughed even though he was serious.
((My sincerest apologies if it seems a bit short. I am overly tired for some reason, and posting doesn't seem as easy as I had hoped. Thanks for helping with giving them memories))

Phaedra felt a flash of happiness sin her heart when Charlie said that no woman was waiting for him. It was surprising, yet Phaedra quickly and firmly had to remind herself that she had not crushed on Charlie in Hogwarts. Had not during the years they had spent together at Hogwarts. Well, maybe there HAD been one more small itsy-bitsy crush Phaedra had had on him during the summer after their kiss, but school had started up again, most of her free time had gone into studying for NEWTs and the might-be-possible crush had disappeared. She would not – and could not – afford to crush on someone who merely thought of her as some old schoolmate and called her ‘Kitten’. Phaedra noticed that she had been staring and let her bottom lip go from her teeth. She had always tended to chew her bottom lip – a very bad habit really – but while mostly cured of it by now Phaedra still sometimes tended to do it while thinking about something important or having to make a decision. Though now she didn’t chew on her lip anymore but rather simply held it between her teeth for a moment. Fortunately she had been blessed with good teeth.
“Oh no, no, no, no! NO trying to smooth-talk. You were able to do it well enough at Hogwarts and I do not want to hear random polite compliments. But having such a big family must have been fun. Having so many brothers and sisters would always give you someone to talk to and have fun withm” Phaedra said her eyes thinking back to her old childhood. As an only child she had learned to spend time on her own early. Most often Phaedra had the habit of retreating to some tree and reading. Most of the time she tended to be creep outside to study sitting on some tree at Hogwarts as well. Which might be the reason why he always had had windblown hair and scraped knees, “And who hasn’t heard of the Weasley Wizarding Wheezys. They are the top at auror academies, have had a couple of pranks with them pulled on me with them as well. Though most likely not nearly as often as you. And breakfast? Mmmm, sounds great… but now, for that you have to behave. I don’t let just anyone into my kingdom.” Phaedra grinned at Charlie placing the picture on her seat as she jumped up again. They had left their tea-cups in the kitchen as well Charlie had left his lunch there as Phaedra’s rather sudden appearance had most certainly interrupted his dinner. Grabbing a pillow from a chair as she passed it Phaedra threw it at Charlie with a grin as if to prove her point, “And don’t you dare hide that picture while I get tea!” Phaedra found the teacups where they had left them along with the toast Charlie had prepared for himself. Phaedra eyed the slice quizzically. Charlie had left the things to make the toast out luckily so within moments there were 5 slices of toast piled up where before had been one. Taking a cup of tea in either hand Phaedra balanced the plate with the toasts on his thumbs steadying the plate with her index fingers as she much more carefully made her way back to the living-room. Placing the things on the table Phaedra shrugged and grinned at Charlie: “one toast for lunch is not going to work you know. Even my stomach wont be full after just one toast and as you’re bigger than me, you have to eat even more per see.”
Despite turning down the offer for lunch earlier Phaedra broke of a piece from one of the toasts as she almost sat down. Her eyes narrowing at the clear spot on the couch where she was supposed to sit Phaedra glared with narrowed eyes at Charlie. As her mouth was full Phaedra merely raised a finger as a sign for Charlie to wait as Phaedra chewed quickly while glaring at him. Taking a sip of tea as she swallowed Phaedra poked Charlie’s chest with her index finger as she curled on leg under her before seating herself on the couch sideways so she was facing Charlie. “What did you do with the picture? I like it! Maybe I could negotiate your mother into giving me a copy so I can enlarge it and have it made into a huge poster and have it posted in the Daily Prophet. Maybe I’ll even let that Skeeter lady write a heart-warming story of how such a handsome young man is looking for a date and that special woman into his life. You should recall that I tend to get even and that did work,” Phaedra wrinkled her nose slightly at Charlie snickering quietly as she had pulled a similar prank on Charlie when he had hidden all his books when she was having nervous break-downs before her OWLs. Phaedra had literally borrowed a camera and had had a ball watching different girls from different houses pick up the mission to cheer up the over-stressed Gryffindor seeker. Phaedra had been way too amused to ever and all the stress about her OWLs had been forgotten. But the point was that Phaedra had gotten her things back. Poking Charlie’s arm again with her finger Phaedra grinned a bit wickedly a bit mischievously: “I want that picture back. It’s amusing!”
((I just keep on making them better and better friends, right? *sigh* Tell me to stop. But well, Charlie most likely was Phaedra’s best friend at Hogwarts. *giggles and huggles while giving a chocolate cake* And your post was great as always. If you don’t like the god-moding comment about Charlie actually doing something to the picture just tell me and I’ll take it out. I adore cute-boy!))

Charlie couldn't help noticing how cute Phaedra looked while biting her lower lip. She had always had a habit of doing it as long as Charlie could remember. It had always made her look like she was trying to stop herself from blurting out some very juicy secret. Charlie had always thought she had looked cute when she bit her lip like that. Watching her bite her lip made Charlie think back to his last year at Hogwarts, and even a bit further back than that to his last ball at school. Charlie had been given his choice of any girl, but he had chosen to ask Phaedra. They had agreed to go only as friends, although Charlie had rather it been a real date. He had to admit to himself that Phaedra had been cute in school, but it was in no comparison to how he saw her now. Charlie had never really cared for the girls who would rather be judged by their beauty than their brains. He realized that Phaedra had both. This made him like her even more.
Charlie denied the smooth talking accusation with a simple shake of his head, he wasn't trying to smooth talk Phaedra, he had only been telling her what he felt in his heart, and the ideas that popped into his mind. "Having a big family is great but you have to watch out for the stuff that the tricksters leave laying around. Being a test subject isn't always as fun as it sounds like." Charlie thought of how many times he had seen or even had been one of the twins test subjects.
Charlie grinned as Phaedra made her way to the kitchen. Catching the pillow that she had thrown at him, Charlie laughed. His laugh filled the whole living room, making all his mother's pictures look around to see what was going on. Making sure that Phaedra could not see what he was doing, Charlie grabbed his picture and quickly slid it just under the edge of the couch below him. He was only teasing Phaedra, even though he hated the picture and wished that his mother had never taken it.
Acting as if he had done nothing, Charlie looked at Phaedra smiling, He noticed that she had prepared more toast and brought it to the living room with her. "One toast would have been enough, you really didn't have to make more, but now that you have made extra, I'll say Thank You, and that you can help me eat it now." Charlie's words after the thank you were filled with laughter, for he was only teasing Phaedra. He knew better than to think that he could make her do anything. He was truthfully glad that Phaedra had made more toast, and her words made him think of something his mum would tell his dad, or Fleur would say to Bill.
Charlie laughed again as Phaedra began to poke him in the chest for it slightly tickled. He had another scar there, but wasn't willing to reveal it just yet. It had been placed there from yet another dragon. He had been badly burned and the scar was luckily his only reminder of the incident, and the dragon. "You wouldn't have that want-to-be-reporter do that to me would you? Surely you couldn't be so cruel? I would never do anything so mean to you." Charlie reached under the couch and pulled out the picture. "If you were anyone else, I wouldn't be so quick to hand this back to you, and I'm sure if you want a copy of it, Mum would be happy to make you one." Charlie felt his heart leap at the thought of Phaedra having a picture of him in her home. He was sure that Phaedra thought of him as only a friend, they had been way too close as friends for there to be any more serious feelings. This was the reason Charlie had always kept his true feelings to himself. He couldn't tell her that ever since the night that he had taken her to the ball, he had felt something other than just a friendship for her.

Phaedra listened to the sound of Charlie’s laughter. It was a good sound. A quiet rumbling starting deep Inside his chest before it burst out and his laughter always seemed to come from his heart, therefore making the sound all the more fantastic. There were people who laughed with snorts making you hope you weren’t being sprayed by chewed food or those who laughed with frilly giggles that made cold shivers run down your back. Charlie’s laughter was also enough to send shivers down Phaedra’s back but these were good shivers. Something you wanted to laugh along with as the laughter warmed you. Phaedra curled her toes as if to hold the feeling the laughter created within herself as she smiled almost dreamily and folded herself comfortably onto the couch her feet curled under her and the side of her head leaning against the backrest of the couch they were sitting on. Phaedra giggled at the sudden flash of though that curling up like that as she was warm and feeling content was a bit kitten-ish perhaps.
“I’m sure you can handle the toasts yourself, but here, I’ll help you out of the goodness of my heart,” Phaedra said while sticking her tongue out at Charlie before stealing the two bites of one of the toasts from between Charlie’s fingers forcefully keeping down her blush at the warmth of his hand. She wasn’t a school-girl anymore! She should be able to control herself more than this! Phaedra raised her mug of tea and took a sip to hide her partial blush form Charlie. Eating the two – well actually, one and a half- bites of the toast she had taken from Charlie Phaedra grinned at him rather cheerily only to start laughing s she accepted the picture from Charlie. Gently brushing some piece of string from the picture Phaedra giggled at the sight of the still purple Charlie on the picture glowering at her.
“You couldn’t do something that cruel to me, as guys wouldn’t line up for me. While I could see girls lining up to warm your lonely heart and embarrassing themselves to no end to catch your eye,” Phaedra grinned at Charlie placing the photography gently onto her lap and gazing at it fro a few moments before leaning her head against the backrest once again. “You always were the smart one,” Phaedra commented with a sly wink at Charlie as he commented he wouldn’t have given back to anyone else as she glanced at the photograph-Charlie and the real-Charlie in turn only to decide once again that Charlie looked even better now than he had at school-time, “And sure, I’d love a copy of this. It would fit nicely with all the other pictures of you I have from Hogwarts ever since Muggle Studies got me hooked up with taking pictures. Or maybe I should leave this one on the mantelpiece so I would see daily how a purple and younger version of you keeps scowling…”
Charlie had only laughed more when Phaedra poked her. Sure, the situation had been amusing but…. Phaedra’s eyes narrowed slightly as she didn’t even finish her sentence her eyes concentrating on Charlie. Was he…? Phaedra’s head snapped up her eyes widening and an almost devilish twinkle playing in them as she reached over to place her tea-mug on the table before returning her eyes to Charlie. “Charlie, are you… ticklish?” Phaedra asked her eyes glinting with amusement and laughter sounding from her voice already as well. Testingly Phaedra reached out her hand her fingers dancing easily and quickly over Charlie’s rib-cage in a tickling pattern with Phaedra herself feeling too secure and content to even blush at the touch anymore.

Charlie smiled more as Phaedra stole the last two bites of the toast he was eating, "Hey. Those were mine." He said jokingly. He reached toward the saucer that held the toasts and tore a bite off of a new slice, and tossed it a Phaedra. Charlie couldn't believe that someone could make him feel like he was still just a teenager at Hogwarts. The last time he could remember feeling like that, he was still just a teenager at the castle.
Charlie continued to eat the toasts Phaedra had prepared, realizing that he was hungrier than he thought at first. Every few moments Charlie would catch himself staring at Phaedra. He had seen pretty girls in the other countries when he was working, but as he looked at Phaedra, he couldn't remember seeing anyone that could remotely match her radiance, and beauty. He began to notice all the minor details about her. He loved the way her fingers just barely touched the glass of the frame that she was so gently holding, as she lightly brushed away a piece of string that had gotten on the picture when he had hidden it. He couldn't help but to smile once more when he noticed the way that she looked after she had gotten comfortable on the couch, relaxed and in a kitten-ish sort of curl.
Charlie enjoyed the warm feelings he was having, but was sure that he could never tell Phaedra how he was feeling. He cared too much for her, and at the very least wanted to remain her friend, even if there was no chance that he could ever be anything more to her. He was sure that she only thought of him as a friend and nothing more, but a friendship was better than nothing.
Suddenly Charlie felt a tickling sensation. Being wrapped up in his thoughts had caused him to not notice that Phaedra was tickling him. "Hey, that tickles you know." He said laughing, and not wanting to admit that he was ticklish. He had not always been that way, but the new skin that had grown over some of his injuries had became easy to tickle. "Yeah, I guess I am kinda ticklish." He said trying to answer Phaedra's question without laughing more. He was not used to his scars or any part of him being tickled. He was more used to getting burned or injured in some other way.

Phaedra grinned around the bread-crumb she was biting a piece of from when Charlie jokingly admonished her for taking his toast. Like he was hungry! Well, he most likely was. But he had barely started eating and there was a pile of toasts yet before him, so he should be fine until he got something more filling to eat. And besides he had insisted that Phaedra would help him eat. Scrunching up her nose as Charlie threw a piece of bread at her, Phaedra picked it up and ate while scowling lightly at him: „Don’t play with food! It’s not nice at all, especially since not all the world can eat as much food as they wish, so HA!“ Phaedra stuck her tongue out at Charlie feeling a bit giddy at winning the arguement, however childish it was.
Phaedra laughed out loud throwing her head back as she tickled Charlie for a few moments. She didn’t really recall him being ticklish back at Hogwarts... or maybe she just didn’t remember. „It’s supposed to tickle. Glad to see you’re still human enogh to loose yourself in fits of laughter,“ Pahedra said with a wide grin picking up her tea cup quickly in a sort-of shield in case Charlie might remember how overly utterly ticklish Phaedra herself was. Holding a cup of hot tea in her palms should protect her, because tickling would very likely make her loose hold of her cup and give them both mild burns from the hot drink.
Curling up again Phaedra felt sleep trying to envelope herself as they carried on with a simple small-talk, chatting about everything and nothing at the same time. Charlie’s eyes carried over to her from time to time and Phaedra supposed they both held one ear on the conversation and at the same time recalled memories from their years together at school. Laughing softly Phaedra leaned her head on the back-rest of the couch for amoment and closed her eyes. Sleep tried to overcome her rather momentarily as her head fell slightly forwarda towards Charlie. Her forehead coming into contact with Charlie’s shoulder reawoke Phaedra making her blink sleepily as she sat up straightly again. It was shocking how relax and comfortable she felt around Charlie. Usually she couldn’t get any proper sleep with someone she didn’t know in the same room, yet here she was practicall falling asleep on his shoulder! „Sorry, I just caught barely 2 hours of sleep at night. I was reading that new bestseller book, that’s why I’m so sleepy, while your company is as awwesome as ever,“ Phaedra said while rubbing her eyes sleepily and uncurling her legs from below herself and standing to stretch, „I suppose I better get going before I actually do fall asleep and bother you and your family any more.“
„Don’t forget to ask your mother for a copy of that photo,“ finding her boots and cloak, Phaedra stopped at the doorway and turned smiling at Charlie. It was a shame there wasn’t any misteltoe around anymore. It would have been a perfect reason for her to exploit and kiss Charlie. After all he had played such a big role in her life before and even now she had felt Phaedra feel pretty and feminin again. She had known feeling like a lady wouldn’t happen often when she chose auror career, yet it was a nice feeling. Taking a msall half-step closer Phaedra placed one of her hands on Charlie’s cheek and standing on her tip-toes gave Charlie a quick peck on his other cheek before taking a step back and smiling at him almost pensively: „Have a nice evening and thanks for fixing my ankle!“ Not really giving Charlie an chance to respond – partially cause she was afraid to hear his reaction to the quick touch of her lips on his cheek – Phaedra turned and hurried down the path skillfully jumping over a puddle on the ground. Galncing back once when she had got far enough Phaedra raised one of her arms for a slight wave before apparating off to think over the whole meeting and recall even more memories in the peace of her home.
((*huggle* Cute-boy is awesome! I’ll be forever grateful to you for taking him up! His posts are great! And you work wonders for my inspiration as well. I’ll see you again in our other post.))
