Fiona stood on platform nine and three quarters. She took a deep breath. She knew that her uncle and aunt wouldn't come pick her up, but she also knew that her parents wouldn't be there either. She still missed them and this holiday would prove to be the hardest yet, since her birthday party. She moved toward the Floo network. She didn't bother to smile or nod to the people that worked there. As far as she was concerned they were vapor. She looked down at her cat carrier as she heard the cry from her beloved animal. "Don't worry, we'll be home soon." Fiona held onto her luggage as she threw the Floo Powder into the fireplace and said "The O'Reilly Castle." The fire turned green and she stepped inside. She could feel the rush of air around her and her body spun through the network. Stopping abruptly she stepped out of the fireplace and she was greeted with the smiles of her aunt and uncle. They weren't smiles of happiness, they were smiles of fear.
"Glad you're back," her uncle said. She glared at him. They weren't supposed to be here. She dropped her luggage on the ground and quickly dusted herself off. "What are you doing in my house?" Fiona demanded. She had a bone to pick with them and she wasn't going to wait either. "We told you that we were going to move in to help pay for our bills," her aunt said. Fiona's eyes narrowed as she looked between the two of them. She wasn't sure if they had gotten her message or not. It seemed that they hadn't. A cry was heard near her feet and she instinctively bent down and opened the cage. Her cat zoomed out quickly and headed out of the room. Her cat had some inkling of Fiona's anger toward her aunt and uncle.
Fiona stood back up and stared down her aunt and uncle. "You must not have gotten my message in return. This is my house and you have no right to be here. You will leave now or you will be thrown out!" Fiona said with anger. Her aunt and uncle looked between each other and sighed. They knew they could not win, but they also knew that Fiona was still only a child and they had every right to keep her under control. "Fine, but you must come back with us. You have to," her uncle said. "No I don't," Fiona said. Fiona glared at the two of them as they slowly took out some Floo Powder and threw it into the fire. They left her behind as they entered the fire and called for their home. They would be back...Fiona knew they would be, but for right now she was alone and that was good enough for her.

The commotion in the kitchen was loud enough to draw Sean from his hiding place. He knew now that his daughter was home and that she was in understanding of things. He wondered how she had fared for the last few months believing him to be dead. He sighed. Jade had went to far in his discipline of Fiona. Enough to cause Shannon to kill him and then commit suicide. The thought saddened Sean. He had loved her dearly, but now she was cremated along with Jade's ashes. Sean had no informed his family, mostly because it was supposedly him that had died. He couldn't call Jade's family and tell them what happened, because that would risk his own exposure. No in time the family would come to realize that he would never be coming back and that he must have died. It would be a while before that assumption was made, but at least it would give them time to realize that he was gone forever.
The yelling calmed down and Sean heard the sound of the Floo Network. His idiot siblings thought that they could take control of the O'Reilly home now that Sean and Shannon were out of the way. How mistaken they were about that. It seemed the Fiona had taken care of them for now. He would deal with them later. Killing them would be a good way to go about doing that, but then Fiona would have to stay somewhere for her summer breaks. She wasn't exactly 17 yet, but she only had about 2 and half years before that happened. She could always petition for independence. Sometimes younger kids were allowed to do that, but whether she would be able to use magic was a different question. It didn't matter too much with the house elves and the fact that he would be around, but sometimes it just looked odd to see magic activity inside a house where a minor was living.
Sean decided it was time to make his presence known. He stepped down the staircase and looked into the kitchen where Fiona stood staring into the fireplace. It was as if she didn't know what to do. He cleared his voice and he watched as Fiona turned to see who was there. "Fi, it's time to tell you the truth about what happened. It's time to be a family again," the words he spoke seemed to soak into Fiona's very flesh. Her expression was unreadable, but he could tell that she was fighting some sort of urge. He wondered how bad Jade had hurt her while pretending to be him. The thought pained Sean to his very core. His daughter was precious to him and if he had seen what Jade had done he probably would have killed Jade himself.
Sean watched as his daughter just nodded her head. She had no response and that worried him a little. He sighed. "I don't know what happened a few months back. In mid May I sent someone to take my spot in this house. His name was Jade Asplend. He was using poly juice potion to keep my appearance. This was done for both you and your mother's safety, unfortunately something went wrong..." before he could finish his thought Fiona interrupted.
"What went wrong Da? The fact that he was using unforgivable curses on me or that Ma killed him just before she dove off the cliff out there!" Fiona exclaimed as she pointed to the very door her ma had ran out of.
Sean took a deep breath as he fought back the guilt and anger that had been growing in him since the death of his wife. "I had no idea he was going to punish you like that. I would never have let him anywhere near you if I knew he was going to use magic on you. Honey, I love you more than you could ever imagine. I always have. That's why I left. The ministry was looking for me and they were watching the house. They were waiting for Jade to mess up and do something like meet with the Dark Lord. The thing was he did mess up, but not in the eyes of the ministry, but in mine. He hurt you and he hurt your ma. If he were still alive I would kill him for what he did to both of you," Sean said with anger as his fists curled into balls. He looked up at his daughter and saw a tear slide down her cheek. Within seconds she had ran into his arms and he was holding her tight. He rubbed her hair and held her close to him as he hummed an old song he used to sing to her before she went to sleep at night.
Sean pulled his daughter back from the embrace and held her by her shoulders as he looked at her. It seemed that the horror of the deaths had taken it's toll on her. She looked much older and as if she would break at any moment. "Honey, are you going to follow in my footsteps and serve the Dark Lord?" he asked. Fiona nodded in response. "Good. You have much to learn and there is much to do before we win this war. I need you to read up on those books I gave you when you were just a child. You won't be able to practice those curses since you're under 17, but you can at least restudy them and learn them. If you can get away with it practice some at school. There will be multiple opportunities for you to learn new curses there. Remember, you are the last of the O'Reilly clan. You must carry on not only our name, but also our fate of serving the Dark Lord. I've got to go meet with another death eater so I'll be back soon. Until then don't worry about things or school, just worry about the coming of the Dark Lord. Be prepared to fight for the true cause!" Sean said. He kissed his daughter on her forehead and embraced her once more. Stepping back from her he apperated out of their home, leaving Fiona standing in amazement.

Fiona stood staring at the fireplace until the sound of someone clearing their throat caught her off guard. She turned quickly and came face to face with someone that was dead. She stared at her father not knowing if he was real or an elaborate illusion created by her mind since she hadn't been in the house since their deaths. He spoke and Fiona listened intently before she slowly nodded trying to digest everything that was being said. She didn't know if he was real, but it certainly seemed like he was. He wasn't a ghost that was for sure. He was as solid as the wall next to Fiona. She couldn't think of any apparition showing up that was just as solid, but then again it wasn't like she had ever seen an apparition either, so maybe this really was one.
Fiona finally decided he was real, but now she was fighting the urge to smile and hug him or to curse him for hurting her in such a way. She grasped her wand in her hand tightly. She wasn't going to let him hurt her again if that was his intentions. Her father began to speak again and Fiona's rage increased. Obviously it hadn't been him at all for the entire summer. She had thought it was. She had relied on this so called Jade and she had loved him like he was her father even when he was punishing her. She didn't let her father finish before she spoke. "What went wrong Da? The fact that he was using unforgivable curses on me or that Ma killed him just before she dove off the cliff out there!" Fiona exclaimed as she pointed to the very door her ma had ran out of. Fiona didn't regret her decision of words. She watched in triumph as her father's face saddened. He was hurt and that's what Fiona wanted. She wanted him to hurt, to be punished for punishing her and her ma the way he had.
At Fiona's father's next words she stopped dead. Now she regretted saying what she had. She looked down at the floor. She couldn't stand looking at her father when he was so vulnerable and obviously sorry about what had happened to her. The unfortunate thing was that he couldn't stop her from hurting now. She was forever hurt by the images that had happened. It would be a long time before she realized that her real father would never have hurt her if he could. However she knew that anytime she made him angry she would see those images of her 'father' torturing her just before her ma died.
Her father finished and Fiona looked back up at him. A tear slid down her cheek as she realized that this was the man she had always loved as a kid. She ran into his arms and buried her face in his shoulder as he held her tight. She let the tears fall as she heard the familiar song hummed in her ear. It had been years since her father had sang that to her and now the memories made her happy. It seemed like they stayed this way forever before her father pulled her back and began to talk to her again. She wiped her own tears away and listened intently. She was more happy than she had ever been in her life. Her father was alive and he was going to take care of her. At his questioned she nodded enthusiastically.
Fiona listened hard as he told her he would be leaving, but would be back again. She didn't want him to go just yet, but she knew that he had things that needed to be done. He pulled her into an embrace again and kissed her forehead. She stepped back and watched him disapperate. Fiona smiled to herself as she looked around the kitchen. Joc one of the older house elves stood in a corner with his head down waiting for orders. She raised an eyebrow at him. "What are you standing around there fore? It's lunch time and I haven't had a cup of tea yet! Get a move on!" Fiona exclaimed as she kicked the house elf in the rear end hoping that it was hard enough to motivate the little creep. "And don't you tell anyone about what you saw here today or you're in for a horrible punishment! And where's Yen?" at her inquiry a younger house elf shot through the room, obviously a girl, but still hard to tell by appearance. "Get those bags to my room. I shouldn't be carrying them!" Fiona exclaimed. The house elf bowed quickly and took off with the heavy bags up to Fiona's tower. She looked around the kitchen and smiled. Things were back to normal, other than her ma being gone. The thought depressed Fiona a little, but at least her father was still around. At this Fiona walked out to the living room of her castle and took a seat waiting for her cup of tea and her father's return.
