(( Just so people know, this is a blanket invitation for Pyro and Cassie's friends. There was an owl put up for anyone who wanted to come. Everybody is still welcome to come, the more the merrier!))
Cass couldn't believe the change that had occurred at Blackfire Manor overnight as her family slumbered. It seemed that the house elves had been working double time to prepare for the party tonight. Balloons and streamers decorated the house in what seemed all the right places, and there was a banner in the front foyer that had declared to all that it was Cassie's birthday. Meghan and Meloedy had arrived earlier that morning, and after a brief meeting with her guardians, the girls had headed upstairs to catch up. It was always fun, seeing the two of them. They had been friends for more years than they could count, and Cass had feared an end of their friendship when they went to different wizarding schools.
It was getting close to seven; so, the three girls headed down the stairs into the front foyer. At the urging of her Aunt, Cass had pretty much put up a blanket invitation at Hogwarts. This wasn't for Cass' benefit, it was for Pyro's. That way, Pyro would not have to be surrounded by Gryffindor and Hufflepuffs all night. Stepping in front of a tall, vertical mirror right next to the door, Cass made sure her muggle clothing looked good. It had taken Meloedy nearly an hour to put a soft wave in Cass' black hair, and Meghan had made sure her make up looked impeccable. " You think Liam will like this?" she inquired of the girls. They only giggled, and said Liam would like her in anything. Cass wore a white cropped sweater with a fur collar over a beige corset style shirt. She then had on a pair of black flared trousers and boots. Trying to decide if she should change or not, a house elf came into the room.
There were several house elves at Blackfire Manor, and this was the one that seemed to find everything that Cass did in poor taste. The servant gave a distasteful look towards Cass as he looked her up and down. With great effort, he said, " Miss Cassandra, dinner is ready whenever your guests arrive. Also, Master Charles has requested that you dress, uh, properly. He may have guests later this evening." Cass smiled at the house elf, and thanked him. As the house elf walked away, she threw one last comment over her shoulder, " Oh, and tell my Uncle that I dressed properly for the occasion." The elf looked at her with horror and scurried out of the room.
" Good one, Cass," Meloedy declared with a rampant giggle. The three girls went into the ballroom that had been set up for the occasion when a more subdued house elf had come to man the front door. The room was huge, and decorated to the hilt. Presents from her friends who were going to be unable to attend and her family where situated on a large table in the back corner of the room. It was a rather large pile. " I wish more people could of shown up, but those are the breaks when your birthday is on New Years. Many people would rather stay home with their loved ones." The girls continued to pan the room and noticed a large buffet had been set up on the far wall of the room. Almost any food that you could imagine was on that buffet including pies, cakes, Bertie Botts, vegetables, sausage balls, and there was even a house elf carving a large ham at the end of the table. " Wow, your family really put in all the stops, didn't they?" Cass only nodded in agreement and stayed silent. She really hadn't wanted all this. She had begged her Aunt and Uncle to throw a small birthday party for her and her friends at the manor, but before long, it had turned into a huge spectacle so Charles and Lust could show how well they were treating their poor, orphaned niece. She had eventually decided it didn't matter as long as her friends had fun, and that had already been accomplished. Meloedy had been giggling euphorically every since she had seen Pyro, and Cass had even caught her sneaking glances at him all through lunch. Meghan was just glad to see Cass happy and healthy. The threesome had not seen each other since the funeral, and everyone had known how well that had gone. Finally, the doorbell rang, announcing their first guest of the evening. Meghan couldn't help but declare, " Hey Cass, maybe that is your lover boy?!" Cass only blushed as they all knew she was talking about Liam Angelus, the boy whose family medallion now hung around Cass' neck on a gold chain.

Alarice stood infront of her mirror, getting ready for her fellow Gryffindor Cassandra Blackfire's birthday party. It was New Years Eve, and Al was actually quite excited to go and check it out. It had been a long break and she missed all of her friends from school. Besides, anything that will get me out of the house.. She thought grumpily, hurrying to her bedroom door and slamming it shut as she heard her step-father Frank come up the stairs and enter the hallway. She returned to the mirror and finished brushing her long straight, shiny brown hair. Al reached over to her dresser and grabbed her favorite necklace, a silver cross with diamonds in the center. It was the most radiant and the only expensive thing she owned. It was hard not having much money, especially when she wanted to get all dressed up and look nice, and there wernt many options. Alarice gazed down at what she was wearing. "It's good enough." She mumbled. Alarice had spent an hour trying to find a nice enough outfit for the event, and in the end had decided on a nice V-neck white long sleeved shirt, a pair of 2 year old black dress pants, her necklace of course, and a pair of gold flats. Most of Alarice's clothes were either borrowed or from a few years ago. This however wasnt much of a problem because she was quite skinny and never really out grew anything. I look too boring. Al thought staring at her reflection glumly. So she added a pair of gold hoop earings, some gold eyeshadow, and used her curling iron to add soft loose ringlets into her locks. "Much better." She said with a satisfied smile, and headed out the door to leave for Cassandra's party. She arrived at the front door nearly a half hour later, for Cassandra lived fairly close to where Alarice did and she was able to walk. She rang the doorbell and waited for it to be answered excitedly.

Konnor woke early, for she was excited because a friend from Hogwarts was throwing a party. Konnor skipped merrily into her bathroom. She grabbed her tooth brush, and began brushing her teeth. Konnor heard a bang on the bathroom door, she opened it only to see her sister Kelley standing there in the doorway. "What do you want?" Konnor asked unenthuised. She stared at Kelley while brushing her teeth waiting for an answer. "What do you think?" Kelley said sarcastically. "Hmmm... Thinking, thinking, I don't know.." Konnor smiled and pushed the door shut. She hated when her sister did that. Kelley goes to Hogwarts as well. Her and Konnor are twins, but not identical. Kelley, and Konnor had never been close, they were just too different. Kelley was in Ravenclaw, she was smart, and all that good stuff. Konnor was a cutesy bouncy Huffle, and was well known, and had a lot going for her. Konnor, and Kelley just didn't mesh together well.
Konnor rinsed the tooth paste from her mouth. Konnor hopped in the shower. When she finished drying off she rushed back to her room. She didn't want Kelley to get a hold of her. Konnor laughed and ran in her bedroom door, shutting, and locking it quickly. "Whew!" Konnor thought to herself. She walked over toward her dresser, she wanted to find the perfect thing to wear to the party. Konnor didn't know much about Cassandra. Cassandra Blackfire was the one throwing the party, so Konnor felt very nervous. Konnor dug through her drawers, and got her two white socks, and a couple other things. She bounced on over to her closet, and got her fancy gold belt, it was very sequined, but the pretty sequined not tacky. Konnor then got her long flowy black skirt. It wasn't too short nor too long, it was just right for the situation. It was classy, yet elegant. Konnor smiled she had the perfect outfit idea. She reached further toward the back of her closet, and grabbed a beautiful creme colored blouse. It was gorgeous, and went well with the stuff she had already picked. She set the clothing neatly on her bed.
She skipped on over to her vanity, and sat down on the chair, and looked in her jewelry box. She got out her beautiful golden chandelier earings. She smiled at them, she had gotten them from her Aunt Marie. She walked back over to her bed and sat them there neatly placed by her outfit. Konnor then began to get herself prepared. She walked back to her vanity, and began to set her make up, and hair utensils on the little table. She ran back to her bed and put on her elegant little outfit, and earings. She smiled she looked exactly how she had pictured it, now she just had to do the finishing touches. She sat on her vanity chair. "Mom!!!" Konnor called loudly, her mom was most likely down stairs. She was going to do Konnor's hair for her. Konnor listened as she heard her mom coming up the stairs. "Are you busy right now?" Konnor asked sweetly. Her mom shook her head no. "Can you help me with my hair now?" Konnor asked politely. "Umm.. I guess I can." Her mom replied calmly. Konnor laughed, she had never had to have help doing her hair from her mom, since she was a little girl. Konnor pulled her hair up tight in a high neat pony tail.
She had it all neatly back in the pony tail, so she then put her beautiful golden rose clip in her hair. She then got her mom to curl her pony tail in little ringlets. "Perfect, thank you mom!" Konnor said very pleased with the way her hair was done. Konnor focused on what to do next. She got her make up, and began to decide what shades to go with. She decided since gold was her accessory color, that she would go with brown and golds. She applied some brown eye liner to her bottom eye-lid, then brown mascara, then to her top eye lid she applied brown, and gold mixed eye shadow. She grabbed her light pink lip gloss, and then she was done. She walked over to her closet, and got her strappy gold heels. They were very delicate, and pretty, but once again appropriate for the occasion. For the last thing Konnor had to do, she went and got her dainty gold purse to go with her whole ensemble.
She headed down the stairs of her house and into the living room, where her mom and dad had been. "What do you think?" She asked both her parents eagerly. "You look great honey!" Her mom said in a thrilled tone. Konnor looked over at her dad, typical he appeared to be crying. "My baby is all grown up.." Konnot just laughed. "Ok, well I'm off then." Konnor said heading out the door, to the Blackfire house. Konnor was excited, and yet nervous, she didn't know how things were set up there or anything. She arrived there a good bit of time later, and saw the marvelous house. Konnor squinted her eyes. She saw someone standing at the front door, and it looked like her friend.. "Alarice!" Konnor shouted excited to already see someone familiar. She ran, carefully over to the front door, and waited with Alarice.

The house elf tripped over its feet as he hurried to answer the ringing doorbell. Picking himself up, he dusted off his tea cozy and opened the door. Two girls, dressed in their muggle best, stood in front of the door. The house elf bowed deeply, and welcomed them to the Manor. " Good evening. Miss Blackfire and her guests will be spending the evening in Ballroom." The house elf motioned for the two girls to follow him to the back of the home. The passed large sitting rooms filled with beautiful, antique furniture. The elf's feet padded across the marble floors. The house was oddly silent. In fact, all he could hear was the girls heels clicking on the floor. Stopping in front of a large set of mahogany doors, he offered to take the girl's jackets. Pulling on the gold handle, he ushered the ladies into the room.
Cass turned at the sound of the door opening and saw Konner and Alarice. Rushing forward, she drew the two girls into the room. After making quick introductions, she gushed to them both. " I'm so glad you came. I know it probably isn't the best thing to do on New Year's Eve, but I promise it will be fun. There is food over there, and you can help yourself." Smiling broadly, she continued on. " The elves are excellent chefs. I never believed that they could cook so well. Oh, we need some music." Cass rushed over to a cabinet on the far wall and opened the cabinet doors to reveal a Wizarding Wireless Stereo. Dance music poured out of its speakers. Grabbing Alarice's hand, she pulled her out onto the dance floor. " Come on, we don't need boys to dance."
(( Just for a note, everyone can assume that a house elf will open the door and lead them to the ballroom. That way, we can make the post run smoother and everyone can join the party quicker.))

"Maybe you should go," Father said with a quick glance at the lounging Jack. "She is a Blackfire. A very respected wizarding family." Jack scowled under his breath and shook his head. "No. It will be all Gryffindors and such, I'm sure." The last talk he had with Cass resurfaced in his brain. They had gotten to know each other very well. Maybe he should go, not only for the very pureblooded reason, but just for acquaintance reasons? Jack rolled over on the couch so he was facing Father. Indeed, nothing was going on here. He had nothing to do but be lazily and hang around in his PJ's. Haille was still sleeping, which meant she had stayed up all night on the phone. Jack sighed deeply and sat up on the couch. "It's not such a bad idea," Father reminded again before exiting the room. So now he was an expert at this type of thing? She was a Gryffindor. Jack hadn't wanted to get involved with them again. But Pyro would be there, and although Jack and him weren't exactly the best of friends (they hadn't really ever had a straight conversation before), he was still in Jack's year. Jack had no idea who else would be joining; in fact, he might be the only Slytherin there as a guest. Wonderfully brilliant, eh? "Fine." Jack muttered upon throwing the couch pillow across the floor. "Fine," he repeated and went up the stairwell to the fifth floor of the manor. His bedroom. By the time he got to the fourth floor, Haille was peaking her head out the window. "Stop stomping your feet, Jack Rendel. Can't you give your sister time to sleep?" Father had adopted Haille almost a week and three days ago now, and ever since the two had been getting closer and farther apart at the same time, if that was possible. Jack shook his head at her. "You've been sleeping for over ten hours now. Correct me if I'm wrong in saying you only need that amount of sleep?" "Oh, shut up." Haille mumbled and closed the door with a snap. Jack smirked, but stopped pounding his feet on the last flight of stairs he had to go up. Opening his bedroom door, Jack surveyed his wardrobe. Of course, as a guy, he didn't have nearly as many things as Haille did, but he still had quite a selection. He shuffled through a few, wondering what the Blackfires were like. Did they prefer stiff perfect clothing or regular lounging clothing or something in between? Jack couldn't decide on his own, so he just picked the clothing that was in-between so either way, he had something. He ended up wearing a blue sweatshirt that matched his eyes and a pair of jeans that were brand new. He felt slightly stiff in them, but they weren't the ones that had holes in it. He wore a t-shirt underneath so if the mansion was anything like Rendel Manor, Jack would be prepared. He also wore shiny boots. As an extra effort to look good, Jack took a comb to his hair. It had been looking extremely exotic these days, and as he tried to put it down in place, it refused to budge. His hair had always been on the messy side; demolished, more like, from no care. Jack shrugged and continued to comb until it looked half-presentable. Jack nodded to himself in the mirror and bent closer to look at his eyes. They were dull from all the extra work he had been made to do around the house, but they still shone from beneath his long bangs of dark brown hair. Jack had always took pleasure in his appearance. Not only because he had the eyes and hair of his mother, but because they were so... un-alike. He watched himself in the mirror, deciding yes, his clothes were fine. Yes, his hair was fine. And yes, his eyes may look dull, but they still looked perfect. Jack turned to the door only to see Haille in front of his door, tapping her finger on her crossed arms. "Where are you going, mister?" She demanded. "To a... a birthday party. You aren't invited, sorry." Jack smirked and walked past her, opening the door. "Oh." She shrugged and followed him back down the stairs. Any party she wasn't invited to wasn't a party at all. That had to be what Haille was thinking right at the moment. When they reached the living room, Father raised an eyebrow. "That's what you're going to wear?" Jack nodded. If his father didn't like it, he was definitely going to wear it. "Blackfire manor, Bobby." Jack told his chauffeur as soon as he set foot in the Rolls Royce that father was letting him take as a joy-ride to the Blackfire home. Jack wasn't sure if it was a manor, but chances were, it was. They were a very old wizarding family, and probably very wealthy as well. Jack leaned back in the seat, wondering what this party was going to be like. It was New Years Eve and it was about time Jack went to some party or another. Haille was even going to a party, as she had made muggle friends so quickly in town. They reached the house and Jack saw that he was right in saying manor. It was huge! Jack nodded meekly to Bobby, still confused about what this party was. What were they going to do? Why was he even coming? Jack paused at the mahogany door, wondering if he really should go in or... "What the hell... " Jack thought and rang the door bell. Almost as soon as his finger left the ringer, a house elf appeared at the door. Jack gave him his jacket, knowing that was part of the greeting house elf's job, and it had offered. The elf then motioned for Jack to follow him and that he did, all the way to a ballroom. Ballroom?! Jack glared at nothing in particular and then saw five girls, all of which he had no idea who they were except for Cassandra, who was in the midst of it all. Jack shook himself out of it and walked over to Cass, who was dancing with a younger girl. Jack tapped her shoulder and said quietly, "Happy birthday." Jack nodded at her, glaring at the other girls as if daring them to ask him to dance. ((I hope that was all good, Cass. I know I didn't reply in the Owls board for this party, but I wasn't sure then if I would come. I was feeling in Jack mood, so I decided, what the heck? I hope I have most of the things right. Jack lives in Scotland, but I wasn't sure where the Blackfires lived, so I just had Jack's chauffeur driving him there. Again, I hope it's okay if Jack joins. He won't be too much trouble, I don't think. ))

"Hey Konner! How was your Christmas break? Oh its great to see you!" Alarice said cheerfully as Konner came bounding up to Cassandra's doorstep and joined her waiting. "You look great!" She commented, looking over her friends outfit. Suddenly, the door was answered by a house elf and the two were led inside. Cass had a beautiful home, indoors and outdoors. And it was enormous. The only sound as they were walking through the halls was the soft noise of the elves tiny feet against the perfectly polished marble floors. As they finally entered the ballroom Alarice let out a small excited giggle as she gazed around in awe at the decorations and food. She had never seen nor been to something so elaborate before. "Woah, it looks lovely in here. And happy birthday!" Alarice said with a wide grin to Cassandra. She smiled as the girl led her out onto the floor and they began to dance.

Konnor stood waiting with Alarice. "Oh, its been great!" Konnor said in response to her question. "Its great to see you too Al!" Konnor said merrily. "Thank you, so do you." Konnor said examining Alarice's outfit. "Woah!" Konnor let out while they were being led inside the house by the little elf. Cassandra's house looked extravagant. The decor was amazing. It was perfect. Konnor gazed about the room aimlessly. It was so warm, and inviting. Konnor watched as Cassandra grabbed Alarice, and started dancing about. Konnor looked around, they must have been a little early, because there wasn't many people there yet. She just saw some of Cassandra's friends, herself, Alarice, and soon to be someone else. Konnor heard someone come in. It was Jack Rendel, a Slytherin. She hadn't met him, but he was like a year younger than she was so she had heard of him. Konnor was thinking something, than she remembered... "Happy birthday Cassandra!" Konnor said sweetly, yet in her own perky way.
Konnor walked around, you know just checking out the room. She was so excited for more people to join the party. She couldn't wait to get to dancing with her friends. She watched as Jack said happy birthday to Cassandra, and then gave her, and Alarice this look like he was challenging them to something. Konnor just smiled, and continued looking at the room in awe. She walked over to where the food was. It all looked so amazing. She wasn't hungry quite yet, but new she would be seen there later on in the party. Konnor was quite shy when it came to dancing in public, unless its slow dancing, because she was quite good at that. She was excited for a big bunch of people to come in, that way she could dance, yet be camouflaged at the same time.

Landon pulled on his favorite pair of faded jeans and a white oxford shirt. His attire was somewhat casual, but it had a formal look to it once he tucked the shirt in. A bit excited for the party, he walked over to the mirror and examined his appearance. Deciding it would do, he hopped in the passenger side of his uncle's muggle car and they were off. He didn't really know Cassandra Blackfire, but he had nothing to do for New Year's Eve. Knowing that there would be a few of his school mates there, he decided to go celebrate with all of them. This desire to be social was unlike Landon, but there was a certain person whom he anticipated seeing at the party.
Landon waved good-bye to his uncle as he shut the door and then walked up to the Blackfire Manor. He was quickly greeted by a house elf as he knocked on the door. Glad to see that a few other guests had already arrived, he scanned the room for a familiar face. Noticing Konnor, he happily walked over to her and greeted her with an energetic, "Hi!" It was in fact Konnor who Landon was so eager to find at the party. He was ecstatic that she was able to make it. "You look nice this evening," he complemented while admiring Konnor's appearance. He smiled, and then took another gaze around the room.
There were four or five other people in the room that Landon noticed. None that he recognized as well as Konnor however. He listened as music was playing. The party was quite nice so far, but Landon hoped it wouldn't get too crowded. He wasn't one for large crowds of people. Seeing the birthday girl, Cass, across the room dancing, he gave a friendly shout to inform her of his arrival, "Happy Birthday Cassandra!"

Post by Liam Angelus G5 on Jan 3, 2006 8:19:20 GMT
Liam was excited for this day to come. He was going to see his fellow Gryffindor and girlfriend again, for it was her birthday party he was going to. Normally, Liam did not go to parties, but this was one he could not miss, that is if he wanted to stay in Cass' good graces. Liam spent most of the evening getting ready to go to the party at the Blackfire Manor, which he was not that happy about. Having already showered, Liam began to dress himself. First he put on his nicest black jeans, followed but his dragon skin belt. He didn't care if anybody else was gonna complain about his choice of clothes, but Liam managed to find a nice, long sleeved black button shirt, that he put on over his red t-shirt. Next came his black athletic socks followed by his usual black boots.
After checking to make sure he looked halfway presentable, Liam grabbed his wallet and put it in his back pocket before finding his wrist watch. Having had his ear pierced, Liam put two small silver hoops in his left ear. The last part of his outfit was the gold ring with the gold Angelus crest over a red stone, that he placed on the ring finger of his right hand. Not overly happy with the way he looked, Liam pondered if he should let his eyes be their normal blue or keep them red as they had been for most of the holidays, in the end he allowed them to stay as they were.
As he rushed down the stairs, Liam heard his aunt call to him, "Make sure you wear a jacket and mind you manners." Liam only managed to let a low grumble escape his lips as he grabbed his black coat off the hook next to the front door of his aunts home. With a flash, Liam was out the door and into the waiting car that was going to take him the rest of the way to the Blackfire Manor. After twenty-five minutes, the car stopped outside of the home he would never have stepped into under normal circumstances, but now that Cass was living here, he had no choice if he wanted to see her outside of Hogwarts.
Once he reached the front door, Liam rang the doorbell and waited until a house elf answered the door. Liam was disappointed to see this elf, for it had the same habit of calling him a blood-traitor just as its master did, but Liam had never bothered to care what it was saying. Without saying a word, Liam threw his coat at him, as the house elf said the party was in the ballroom. Liam didn't wait for the elf to show him the way as Liam had already been to the home before. Once he reached the ballroom, Liam looked around to see that Cass' old friends were here along with many people he had not taken the time to get to know.
Scanning the room, Liam found Cass on the dance floor dancing with a girl that he did not recognize. Liam made his way around the people that were gathered, heading for the dance floor. Liam made sure to keep himself from being seen by Cassandra. Once he was behind her, Liam covered her eyes and said, "Guess who?"

While Konnor was looking around the room at all the beautiful furniture, and decor, she heard a voice suddenly from behind. She jumped a little and turned to see who it could be. Surprised, yet pleased, she saw Landon. He looked very nice. "Hey!" Konnor said back excitedly, maybe they could get to know each other even better tonight. She was very happy to see him, it made her less tense, knowing that she had yet another person to talk to at this party. Konnor had secretly been hoping he would show up. She had been anxious to see him again. Their last talk together was amazing, the were very similar, and Konnor liked how intelligent he was.
"As do you handsome!" Konnor replied teasingly, with a little tap on his shoulder. "I'm glad your here!" Konnor said blurting it out. She hadn't meant to say, she was supposed to have just been thinking. Kind of blushing, she giggled. Konnor looked at him observantly, he was so adorable, in all his intelligence. "So, what have you been up to lately?" Konnor asked curiously. "Anything new in the fascinating life of a wizard?" Konnor laughed. "Wonder who all will show up?" Konnor asked trying to strike up conversation. She looked around the room. Cass, and Al were still dancing. Jack was still, well being Jack. Konnor heard someone come in the room, it was a boy she new as Liam. She watched as he walked up to Cass, and sweetly covered her eyes, and said "Guess who?" It was quite adorable. Konnor had seen him around Hogwarts before. Konnor then focused back on Landon. She was more interested in him.

Post by Pyro Blackfire S5 on Jan 6, 2006 18:19:11 GMT
Pyro sighed and couldn't help but shake his head in amazement. He was completely taken off guard by the preparations that his mother and father had placed into this birthday. House Elfs had been rushing hither and tither all night just to get everything in place, and they were still working. Pyro hated to walk around his house and constantly have to dodge an elf here and and elf there. In fact he had completely chosen to give up trying to go down the stairs. Instead he now slide down the banister on his feet. Aside from that but two of Cass's friends had come here early in the morning and Pyro had had to endure their constant giggling all day. He even thought he caught a glimpse of one of the girls watching him, it was enough to drive him insane.
So now he stood in his room, black Khaki's and a black dress shirt. He decided it was best to dress up. Although the majority of the guest were no doubt Gryffindors, a few Slytherins might make an appearance and save him from this horror. Picking up Cass's present and slinging it across his shoulders, she had been asking for one for quite some time now, he left his room and made his way downstairs. The stairs were finally clear so he was able to walk down them quite normally. Touching down on the smooth marble floor of the main floor he made his way to the ballroom. Last he checked the Ballroom hadn't been used in a long time. No doubt the house elfs were sent in to clean off the dust.
Pyro placed his present onto the growing pile of presents and looked around the room. Scowling slightly as he noticed the guest. Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs....The whole lot of them. He thought to himself. Than suddenly a face popped out of the crowd that he recognized. Jack Rendel, a fellow Slytherin and Dorm mate of Pyro's. Cass was busy dancing at the moment so Pyro made his way over to join Jack. "Hey Jack." He said in greeting and grinned, "I don't know what kind of Blackmail Cass had to use to get you here, but it must of been something good." Sighing Pyro looked over at the table of food and drink. He motioned to it with his head. "Care for a drink?"

(( I'm sorry for the late reply guys. I was in a car wreck on Tuesday and this is the first day I've been able to post. Oh, and Jack, you're cool to join us.))
Cass greeted her guest with enthusiasm as they came up to her to give birthday greetings. It was a good turn out so far, and she just couldn't wait what the night was going to bring. After swinging Alarice across the dance floor a few times, she let go of her hands. Two Hufflepuffs, Landon and Konner came up to her soon after. " Thank you so much for coming guys. I guarantee a good time will be had by all." Cass raised her wrist and checked her watch. " It's ten o' clock. Only two hours to midnight. I can't wait till the new year."
Jack Rendel was the next to arrive to Cass' surprise. Jack was Mack's friend and Pyro's housemate, and that made him more than welcome. However, the only contact the two had before this night was a very weird and in depth conversation concerning everything from their individual families to house politics. " Jack! I'm glad you made it. Pyro should be down soon. You shouldn't have to worry about all these girls for much longer." Cass' giggling was cut short by a gasp as darkness covered her eyes. Her wariness was soon gone as she heard Liam's sweet voice ask, " Guess who?"
Squealing, she turned around and threw her arms around his neck, putting a huge kiss on his lips. Ignoring the snickering from her friends. Whispering, she said to Liam, " God, I've missed you." Pulling back, she held onto his right had for a moment and smiled sweetly at him. Distracted, she didn't even see her cousin walk in with a package slung across his back. Pulling Liam by the hand, she walked back over to the small group. " Well, it looks like the gang is all here now. So, if no one is against it, let's eat!" As if on que, several tables appeared on the dance floor. The were all adorned with red and white tablecloths topped off by black china with the family crest.
