Cougar sat on a bench. He wore a dark blue oxford and some blue-jeans. He was in the park, where he and Maryn had agreed on meeting. He was reading a book entitled, Why they do it: muggle wars and conflicts. He enjoyed reading this kinda stuff. He hadn't really known why until he found that his grandfather was in World War I, and his great uncle was a great American politician. He read for a little bit, but couldn't keep his mind on it as he kept remembering that time Maryn and he found that note in the park and she choked up. He had been dwelling on that for a while. He simply couldn't figure it out.
He walked around the park he was in there was grass so green, you'd swear it was painted, and the trees had no leaves except for a giant 23' evergreen, a Leyland Cyprus. It was decorated with lights and balls and the works. He guessed the people who put it up did not have time to take them down. He walked the walkway they had a few times before getting bored and sat down again. He read a little more before seeing someone walk up.

Maryn got up that morning. Her holidays had actually gone fairly well. There was that day when she scared Rosaliz and she of course didn't look totally normal yet. However, Maryn had slowly getting there. She didn't know how long it would take for her to be normal, but Maryn was ready to wait. Her skin was slowly becoming less pale and she was starting to look just as cheerful as before. All of the new family things in Maryn's life over took her greatly. She didn't know how to act for awhile. But, she was turning back into the girl she knew she was. Maryn woke up in the morning. Her little cousins didn't wake her up as usual and Maryn smiled at the comfort of staying asleep for a minute longer. After a few minutes, Maryn got up because she knew she had somewhere to be. She was feeling so much better that she decided to dress a bit different than usual. Maryn decided to put on her cute light creme pants instead of jeans. She wore a light yellow sweater with light pink detail on the sides. It clinged to her and Maryn smiled at that. She was thinner than usual, but it wasn't terrible looking. She put on less make-up than usual in light pinks and put her hair in a high pony tail for once. After finishing that up, Maryn picked up her pink messenger bag as usual and dashed out the door not very hungry.
It was a cold day as all were in the winter. It wasn't snowing, but still sort of overcast and extremely cold. The park wasn't far from her house and Maryn didn't mind walking. She couldn't help, but think about Cougar on the way. She already knew what they would talk about. Maryn had lost her guard that day. She had acted stupidly and shown Cougar something she didn't want to show anyone. Maryn knew she had some explaining to do, but didn't know how to say it. Actually, Maryn didn't know if she would say it all all. Parts of it she could tell, but some were always going to be unsaid. Those parts were to dangerous for Maryn herself. Maryn neared the park walking at her usual pace. While entering, Maryn spotted Cougar on bench reading. She silently walked up to him smiling. "Hey." She said taking a seat. "So, what's on your mind?" She asked already knowing the answer.

Cougar thought a minute. He didn't know if he should jump straight into his pressing question, or start with some small talk. After Maryn's very direct, very forward question, He decided he'd just jump right in head first. "Hi, umm, do you remember that day when we, or should I say you (I just tagged along),found that note? Well, I was kinda wondering what all that was about." Cougar fidgeted uncomfortably. He knew she probably didn't wanna relive it, or dwell on it. His mind wondered until she answered him.
