“Pancakes, waffles, pumpkin pie. Christmas foods, my oh my. I’m so happy I could scream. So Aaron come down and get your ice cream.” Lenora sang at the top of her lunges into the house hoping her brother would be able to hear her. Sure some would argue it was too cold for ice cream but she doubted her brother would mind. She had gotten herself a big bowl and decided that since it was Christmas Eve Day and she was in the holiday spirit she would get one for him too. Plus she had an itty-bitty surprise for him. Ingrid had already shown up and was waiting with her in the kitchen – they wanted to see his face not only over unexpected ice cream but his best friend being there and he didn’t even know it.
Lenora did a pirouette before picking up two of the bowls and placing them on the table. One was for Ingrid and the other herself. Lenora had left Aaron’s on the counter because well she only had two hands and it was on the way between the kitchen door and table anyways. “Yummy” Lenora said before dipping her spoon into the candy cane ice cream and scooping out a bit to put into her mouth. She giggled a bit as swallowed and placed the spoon down onto the table. “So, Ingy, how has your break been so far?” Lenora asked the younger girl. Lenora liked Ingrid a lot. She was so glad her younger brother had found such great friends. At first she had been a bit surprised he had been placed in Hufflepuff rather than Gryffindor but as she got more used to the idea she saw that she shouldn’t have been. But she really did think Ingrid was great for Aaron, she had liked the girl ever since they meet at that beach party thing last summer.

Christmas Eve Day! It was the day before Christmas! Possibly one of the most exciting days of all year! Ingrid wasn't quite sure why, but there was something about Christmas Eve Day that made her blood run faster through her veins and made her doubly energetic. She bounced around the Lewis house around 7 in the morning, as she always did. Janine at her heels, bouncing right after her. The two girls were singing the house awake with their favourite carol; "Frosty the snowman, was a jolly happy soul! With a corncob pipe and a button nose, with two eyes made out of coal! Frosty the snowman, is a fairytale they say. He was made of snow, but the children know. How he came to life one day. There must have been some magic, in that old silk hat they found. For when they placed it on his head, he began to dance around." Ingrid and Janine sang in unison, the younger girl a little bit quieter than the older. That was OK. Ingrid knew Janine was shy. None the less, she kept the song going. Prancing down the stairs, through the grand living room with large and extravagant tree, and into the kitchen which was decorated nicely.
Along the counter holly was hung, and in the passageway from dining room to actual kitchen; mistletoe hung above them. There was a fine red silk on the table, and lights hung along the top rim of the ceiling. Ingrid loved this room. It was always so wonderfully decorated for the holiday or season. She grinned as she slipped into her seat, and looked around the table. Nearly everyone was there. Jason wasn't, of course. He never was around these days. Mum and Dad were there. Yep. Yay! Kirsty came down, pulling her hair up. She had caught a cold, and that was never fun, so she hadn't been really doing much with her appearance. She still looked beautiful! Sally was already at the table, scarfing down her breakfast so she could go outside in the snow. And Ingrid and Janine were also scarfing down their food. Ingrid was trying to not choke, but she was so excited to go to Aaron's house that she couldn't eat properly. Janine was merely copying her. Sometimes that got tiring, but not always. Ingrid didn't know why Janine was eating so fast, she wasn't going with her.
Ingrid felt bad a little. Ever since she started Hogwarts, she had been backing away from her little sister. But she couldn't help it. She had made more friends, and they were fun to be with too. She made a mental note to herself to make a day just for her and Janine. She finished her cereal, pushed away from the table, and bolted up the stairs to her room to get ready. She pushed her door closed, against Janine's whining, and then pulled her pyjamas off. She replaced them with her sweatpants that were baby blue. She pulled on a white turtleneck, and then the matching sweatshirt to the pants on over that. Then she brushed her hair, pushed a blue stretchy hair band into it. Her ear muffs were placed on her ears, then her boots were put on. Next and last was her coat. After she had done that, she bolted out of the room - causing Janine to spin. She ran down the stairs, called out to her mother telling her where she left the address and phone number for Aaron - and left the house. Racing toward Sita's. She had to use her Floo powder! She knocked once before she opened the door. It was rather early, but no bother. She was normally expected at Sita's. She said hello, explained her dilemma, and then let herself into the living room. Grabbed floo powder. Stepped into the fireplace, and screamed; "Byers Residence in London!" Then she threw the powder down and was off.
What seemed like a million and one chimneys later, Ingrid flew out of a fireplace in a house that she wasn't quite sure if it were the right one. She stood up, coughing, and brushed the soot off her outfit. She smiled and looked around a corner, hoping to catch sight of anyone she recognized. Ingrid bit her bottom lip as she proceeded into the rest of the house. Hmm. Food. Ingrid's nose picked up the smell. Kitchen. This a way! Ingrid saluted no one in particular and started a march toward the direction she figured to be the kitchen. When she came in she saw Lenora, and smiled; "Reporting for duty, Ma'm!" Ingrid said as she stood, straight as a board. Then she broke her stiff stance, and nearly tackled the older girl to the ground in a hug. "Hi!" She says. And then she was placed with ice cream. Ice cream! Wonderful! Ingrid sat down, and dug her spoon into the moutainy creaminess of ice cream! It was candy cane! Yummy! Lenora asked her how her break was going and Ingrid grinned; "Positivley wonderous! Mummy's already taken me to three parties with very important people. It's important to socialize, did you know? Mummy says it makes people aware of who you are. I think she's stuck in some old days. She thinks I need to be married at a young age." Ingrid stuck out her tongue in a dissapproving way and took another bite of her ice cream, "How has yours been?"

Dana smiled at her grandfather stealing a gingerbread from his hand and taking a bite out of it herself while hopping on one foot as she was trying to pull one of her boots. She was going to visit one of her friends today – Lenora. The 5th year Gryfifndor was one of the most fun-loving people Dana knew and Dana smiled thinking fondly back at the play she had went to, where Lenora had played Juliet. It was Christmas Eve Day after all – while Christmas was supposed to be spent with family, Christmas Eve Day always belonged to friends. Knowing that the day should be simply amazing Dana had even dressed properly to make sure she would be comfortable. Meaning she wore warm read pants and a white sweater with small red reindeers prancing around on the lower edge of the sweater. Finally managing to lace up her boot Dana smiled and waved at her grand-parents. “I’ll be back sometime!” Dana called over the room before dashing out of the apartment in muggle London and took the elevator to the first floor while munching on the gingerbread. “Merry Christmas,” Dana wished to the door-keeper who smiled at her from far already as he pulled the door open for her. “Merry Christmas, young miss,” came the calm reply as the door-keeper walked with Dana a couple of steps and pulled open the door to the black Mercedes already waiting for Dana in front of the building, “Hope you have a good day.” “Thanks, George, see you later,” Dana said with a smile as she seated herself comfortably on the back seat as the car was already entering the traffic as the driver also wished Dana a happy holidays.
Chatting with the driver made time pass quickly. It was only a matter of minutes before the Mercedes already pulled to a stop thanks to magic that let the car pass distances much quicker than any regular muggle car could. Dana hopped out the car before the driver could open the door for her and smiled up at the house in front of her. “Waving bye to the driver Dana walked up from the street to the first door and knocked on the door calmly her knuckles tapping a Christmas carol rhythm on the door as Dana shifted her merry white-red hat a bit higher on her forehead. A couple of moments later the door was opened by a woman who Dana knew was Lenora’s mother. “Good morning and merry Christmas, mrs. Byers,” Dana greeted the woman before she was directed towards the kitchen. Shrugging off her jacket Dana made her way there smiling brightly at the occupants in the room already. “Morning all! And Merry Christmas!” Dana half-sang out as she smiled at Lenora and the first year girl there. They had met briefly the previous summer at a muggle roller-coaster park and Dan had seen her in the school sometimes. However with her own personal drama she hadn’t had time to say hi to the girl properly.
“Hi, Ingrid… It was Ingrid, right? ” Dana asked with a bright smile as she entered the kitchen and smiled at everyone before her eyes fell on the piles of ice-cream, “Oh ice-cream! Why hasn’t a bowl been prepared for me yet?” Dana whined loudly while snatching a spoon from the table and looking around searchingly, “Not where can I get some of the sugary goodness of ice-cream?”
