Cass looked out of the window for what seemed like the millionth. " Where is he?" she wondered out loud. Dinner had been a catastrophe, and it was time for the couple to blow of some steam. As Cassandra had escorted him to the front door, she told Liam to wait for her tonight. It was now closing on ten, and she could here her Uncle closing his door for the evening. The one thing she had learned about her Uncle since arriving at Blackfire manor was that he kept a very meticulous schedule. Not only did he arrive to everywhere on time, he also retired to bed at the same time every night.
Hearing a tapping at the window, she walked over and opened it up. There stood Liam, her knight in shining armor, in the garden waiting on her. Smiling, she waved and put a finger up to her lips to signal quiet. Grabbing a red sweater from her closet, she walked back over to the window and began to climb out of the window. She was pretty sure that she saw Liam look up in fright. It was okay though. Cass' feet found the rose trellis easily, and she began to climb down as if she did this everyday. The wood shook under her weight, and the whole escape from Blackfire manor became more and more treacherous. About halfway down, her black sneaker slipped on the trellis. Falling back, she stifled her yell so she would not wake up her family.

Liam was rather annoyed at how the evening had turned out so far. Meeting the Blackfire's again and having to sit down with them at the dinner table wasn't not what Liam knew Cassandra had wanted for the evening, but he knew that it wasn't going to be a successful evening from the beginning. When the dinner was finally over, Liam was glad to be able to leave the manor and wait for Cass in the garden.
Liam saw the lights in the rest of the house turn off and threw a small pebble up toward Cass's window. Liam saw Cass come to the window and wave before she put her finger to her lips. Liam waited for her to return the window and start down the wooden trellis. When she was about halfway down the trellis, Liam saw Cass's foot slip from the trellis. Liam rushed over to catch Cass if she did fall.

Steadying herself, she looked down to see Liam position himself under her. " It's okay, Liam. I think I'm going to be okay." Cass whispered down. She held onto the trellis for dear life, not wanting to really fall and break her neck. Cass continued to make her way down from her second floor window. Damn this didn't look this high up from my bedroom, Cass thought to herself. She was starting to wish she was back up there in her warm bed, not risking her bloody neck for a little time for Liam.
Looking back once again, the Angelus medallion fell out of her shirt. She tried to give him a reassuring smile as she continued to make her way down. About ten feet from the ground, her foot slipped again. This time, her hands left the trellis and she fell back. She only hoped that she would fall into Liam's arms.

Not sure if Cassie was going to fall or not, Liam stayed where he was just in case. He wasn't about to let her fall to the ground if he could help it. He cared far to much about her to let anything bad happen to her, and he knew that he'd never forgive himself if anything did happen to her. When she was about ten feet from the bottom, Liam saw Cassie slip from the trellis again and caught her as he feel to his knees. Holding her in his arms, Liam asked, "Are you alright? Nothing broken I hope." Liam smile as he waited for Cass to reply.
After Cass replied, Liam helped her to her feet before he took a risk and kissed her. Liam wasn't sure how she would react, but hoped he had not been to forward. After a few moments, Liam said, "Well, what do you want to do. Its you choice, anything at all, as long as we can get away from here."

The fall was a short one, but the the crash that she expected to come never did. Opening her eyes, she looked up to see Liam's concerned face looking over her. Blushing, she stammered, " Um, yeah, fine. Only my pride is hurt. Um, are you okay? You did hit your knees pretty hard. I'm surprised that you could catch me. I'm not that lightest thing in the world." She allowed Liam to help her to her feet. Cass looked up at him with a reassured smile and started to realize he was much to close. With a quick movement forward, Liam kissed her. After a moment of shock, she put her hands on his back and returned the bit of affections.
After what seemed like forever, Liam pulled back. Cass' face was bright red, and she smiled. Not really knowing what to say, she let the silence speak for itself. " Umm, I'm not sure, I don't know where to go. We are pretty close to the city, and there is a new club opening up. We could go there. However, I'm not how sure how much you want to dance." Taking his hand, she began to walk up the road. " Come on, we will floo there from Melodey's house. She only lives up the road and I know she is still up."
